This morning Sally spoke on Psalm 22. This is the psalm that Jesus quoted from the cross. The psalm alternates between cries of anguish and songs of praise of what God has done and expectation of what he can and will do on the future.
This morning Bonnie spoke on Psalm 19 on how both creation and God’s word reveals and declares his glory.Prayer points• thanking God for different aspects of his creation.• Thanking god for the different benefits of his word based on verses 7-9.• That we would remain routed in him today.

This morning Nic spoke from Psalm 16Prayer points• We started by looking at Psalm 100:4-5 in starting with praise and thanks to God.• We then followed what Paul said in 1 Timothy 2:1-2 and prayed for all those in authority over us in particular King Charles, our PM Liz Truss and our new Government and also for the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby.• After Nic’s talk we then listened to a song called ‘I will say’ about having confidence in God as our strength and refuge whatever life throws at us.

Afghanistan is currently the most dangerous place in the world to be a Christian, pray that Christians would know God as refuge and for their deliverance.

This morning Sophie spoke from Luke 9:28-36 on the transfiguration of Jesus, explaining how it reveals to us that all the prophecies and laws were fulfilled in Jesus alone and how His glory is so much more than our hearts could imagine.

Summary: Jesus redefines family by saying that anyone who hears the word of God and puts it into practice is part of the family of believers and as Jesus prioritised his family so should we by loving one another which shows the world that we are Jesus' disciples.
After looking at how Jesus treated his family we prayed for our brothers and sisters in Christ in Nigeria following the massacre on Pentecost Sunday (5th June) where 'At least 50 Christians, including children, have been killed and dozens injured in an attack on a church in south west Nigeria' https://www.opendoorsuk.org/news/latest-news/nigeria-attack-south/.

This morning Tristan spoke on Luke 6:17-26 about Luke's Beatitudes and how they show us where our treasure should lie.
This morning Joe spoke on Luke 6:12-16 on how Jesus called the first disciples.

This morning Ben spoke on Luke 6:1-11. Here we see the Pharisees trying to drive a wedge between Jesus’s actions and God’s Word. His response reminds us that no rules, sin or death can separate God from those he loves and came to save.

This morning Toufic spoke from Luke 5:27-32. To follow Jesus we must leave everything else behind as Matthew did when Jesus called him to follow Him.

This morning Reema spoke on Luke 5:17-26. In this passage we see that Jesus has power to heal completely – both physically and spiritually. We see the petition of the paralyzed man and his friends, the protest of the pharisees and the praise of the people as they see the remarkable things God has done.

Yesterday Josh spoke about the moment when God calls us. Today Jamie spoke on Luke 5:12-16 about how we can minister like Jesus as he encounters a man with leprosy. Jesus is willing, and when we are willing too, how do we minister healthily?
We prayed: • About our own willingness to serve • Trusting in God to remove barriers in our Revitalise 250 project • For God to intervene in Ukraine, and with the food crisis
This morning Josh spoke on Luke 5:1-11 on how Jesus calls Simon Peter. Josh reminded us that we are also called by Jesus to be fishers of men.

This morning Reema spoke from Luke 2:21-24. In these verses we read about different ways that Mary and Joseph were obedient to God. We know that Jesus would go on to live a life of obedience and we seek to do the same.
Afterwards Reema led a time of prayer, praying:
• That we would live lives that are obedient to God • For those who face challenging circumstances, for strength as they seek to obey God
This morning we opened by reading Psalm 63:1-5 and thanking God for who He is and that we would seek Him earnestly.
Robert then spoke on Luke 2:15-20 on how we should follow the example of the shepherds in the way they responded when they heard the good news of the birth of Jesus Christ.
Afterwards, we prayed according to the passage that we would act and seek Jesus out, and that once we find and see Him we would tell others and praise and glorify God.
We also prayed for the Breakfast Club and the Alpha course starting today.
This morning Ben spoke from Luke 2:8-14. Luke builds the gospel story by introducing characters “on whom God’s favour rests”. We quickly realise they’re unlikely heroes - pointing to his favoured mission to reach unlikely people.
Sophie Passante also led a time of prayer
• Starting the morning praying from Psalm 116:7-9, thanking the Lord for the rest that is always accessible to us and for His deliverance that we can walk before Him in the land of the living.
• We also prayed that our mission would align with the Lords mission for us and that we would seek to share His word with those on whom His favour rests.
This morning Jamie shared from Luke 2:1-7 and how amidst the grand stage of world history and Israel’s history comes an off-stage, off-centre entry of a baby. The hinge of history is a stable door in Bethlehem.
We prayed that we might: • Have the right perspective on world leaders • Have the right perspective on history • Have the right perspective on our everyday lives • Become fully human, just like Jesus, depending only on our Father make room for Jesus - making him centre stage in our lives • For those around us to make room in their schedules and hearts to receive Jesus’ gentleness and humility this Try Church Sunday
This morning, Sophie spoke on Luke 1:67-80 on how Zechariah prophesies the coming of the Messiah who will be the horn of salvation which enables us to be delivered from our enemies and live lives of holiness and righteousness before him.

God invites our questions but the way we ask our questions reveals the state of our heart and so we should ask questions like Mary who says she can't understand rather than like Zechariah who says he can't be sure. But even if our questions are like Zechariah God does not give up on us but draws us to himself, as he did with Zechariah, so that we, like him, end up praising and thanking God.
Prayer points: We started by reading together Psalm 95:1-7 as a call to worship and praise to God. Afterwards we prayed for each other in breakout rooms bringing our requests and our questions to God.

Summary: Zechariah and Elizabeth are referred to as 'righteous in the sight of God, observing all the Lord’s commands and decrees blamelessly' even though we know that later on Zechariah will doubt what God says to him through the angel Gabriel which shows that that unbelief was a temporary lapse which gives us hope because, even when we doubt God, God does not cast us away, if we repent and set our hope afresh on him.
Prayer points:
• We started by praying for revival, starting in our own hearts, then in our country and the world following on from Jago’s sermon on Sunday. • Afterwards we prayed that God would do what seems impossible in our lives and in our world as he did with Zechariah and Elizabeth in giving them a child.
This morning Jo introduced us to Luke's Gospel with Luke 1:1-4 and gave a bit of background on the gospel writer.

In tomorrow’s passage we will continue to look at what it means to be awake, but in these five verses we read about being children of light. Syed writes, ‘In Berlin, Paris, London, Washington and beyond over the past week, we have witnessed the political equivalent of perceptual reversal. We owe it to ourselves and all Ukrainians never to allow our senses to become so distorted again.’ Jamie encourages us to have our senses and perceptions awakened to the Light of the world and our identity as children of the light. After looking at 1 Peter we had a brief time of prayer asking God to fill us with that inexpressible and glorious joy in Christ.

• Our brothers and sisters in Christ who are being persecuted for their faith and we prayed in particular for a story that came out on 3rd November in Nigeria that one Christian has been killed and 100 Christians kidnapped by bandits
• God to release these Christians, for breakthrough in this situation and that, like the Christians that Peter was writing to, that they would still greatly rejoice in their salvation ‘though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials’ (1 Peter 1:6)
This morning, Chris spoke from 1 Peter 1v6-7. He spoke about Charles Spurgeon being an example of a man who persevered despite personal mental health issues - depression. He persevered because he understood his faith was being perfected and he was being formed in Christ's image. His prayers where simple even when he was weak.

This side of the cross we can see God's generosity in sending his one and only Son to restore our relationship with our loving Father, and to give us life and life in all its fulness.

This morning, James spoke from Proverbs 30:11-14 on ungodliness and pride. He spoke about how Jesus says to take the plank out of our own eye before looking at the speck in someone else’s, so we should allow the Holy Spirit to convict us where we have been more focussed on other people’s flaws than our own.
In Psalm 139 we read ‘Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me and lead me in the way everlasting’ and that too is our prayer.

And that the way we live a righteous and wise life is to love in a way that covers over all wrongs. Living and knowing that we can only do this because Jesus has covered over all our sin and wrongdoing at the cross.

This morning, Jago spoke from Colossians 1:28 -2:5. Looking at how Paul’s focus, and Epaphras’ focus, for the Colossians is that they would be mature and fully assured. Rather than stuck in a rut Christian syndrome, that they know in Christ they are filled to maturity. And that rather than second rate Christian syndrome, that they know in Christ they are fully assured.

For these two groups of people (ourselves and those we know):
• Stuck in a Rut Christian Syndrome: “Mature” – In Christ, you are filled • Second Rate Christian Syndrome: “Fully Assured” – In Christ, you are full
There was then prayer for the politicians in our nation, especially those who have just been elected over the last few days:
• That they would be filled with wisdom in the way they govern us. • For God’s kingdom to come and will to be done through their work. • That they would promote unity in this country. • That they would do what is best for all people of this country, especially those in poverty.
This morning, Jamie spoke from Colossians 1:21-27.

• Out of the passage, and encouraged us to do the same with a passage from God's word. It could be any passage, or this passage in Colossians. There was prayer from this passage into: • Giving thanks to God that we are holy and blameless in His sight • Keeping us firm and established in Him • Thanking God that we are no longer alienated from Him
This morning, James spoke from Colossians 1:15-20 on how when we think of Jesus, we think of how he was on earth. He is the way we know what God is like. He is the image of the invisible God. However, Jesus is also the firstborn over all creation. He is before all things and in him all things hold together. All things have been created through him and for him. He is the head of the body so that in everything he might have the supremacy. That is who Jesus is. That is who we worship.

This morning, Reema spoke from 2 Corinth. 4:7-5:5 on how God has entrusted his treasure to us, we who are broken and weak jars of clay. This treasure is the message of the gospel, we carry it with us wherever we go. Because we have this treasure we have a hope that can’t be stolen, this affects the way we go through all types of circumstances.

• For our children and youth, as groups have started again, that they would feel comfortable coming along. They would feel safe and and have good conversations • Thanks to God for the treasure he has given us, and that we can go out and tell people about the treasure • For those who are feeling perplexed and suppressed, and that God would give them hope today

• That the eyes of our hearts will be enlightened • That we will respond to our calling to hope • That we will minister with power and authority • That we will live out the fullness of Christ
This morning, James spoke from Romans 6:1-14 on how we can sometimes think that it is okay to keep sinning because we have grace, but we are dead to that sin. That is not who we are. As Jesus was buried and then raised to new life, we too have died with Christ and been raised to new life. In order that we are alive to God in Christ Jesus.

• We would know who we are in Christ, we would die to sin and know that we are alive in Christ • That we allow the Holy Spirit to convict us, showing us where sin is ruling in our lives, and that we know afresh what it means to be raised with Christ and alive in him • For Revitalise 250, that it would be for God's glory. • For the Easter message released today by Christians in Parliament to be widely distributed and touch hearts • For the Lord to enter into many hearts this Easter season just as He entered Jerusalem 2000 years ago • For justice to roll on like a river and righteousness like a never-failing stream (Amos 5:24)
This morning, Reema spoke from Matthew 26:1-16, asking; what is our approach to cost when it comes to Jesus? Inviting us to pray that we would give our whole lives as an offering to God because we love him.

• In response to Reema’s message by repenting for when we haven’t seen the true worth of Jesus and where our worship hasn’t cost us anything and prayed that we would be like Mary and give our whole lives in worship to God

- TO NOT BE AFRAID
Let’s pray against fear remembering this verse:
‘There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.’ 1 John 3:18
- Where the people of God are, God is present and at work. Whether in our homes, our church, at work or our neighbourhood. God is able to save.
Let’s pray that we would see God at work in all these different places.
- God has a purpose and a plan for each one of us beyond the storm. Let’s pray for God to show us His plans for our lives.
Let’s remember that this verse that this is true whatever the circumstance of our lives:

• Finally, we prayed for the persecuted church around the world, our brothers and sisters in Christ, in particular those facing high or extreme levels of persecution for their faith, that they would know God's presence, his closeness and his protection over them.

This morning we had an extended time praying around divisions and darkness we see in the world, and Rory spoke briefly about the bright light that Saul encountered on the road to Damascus.
We prayed for:
• Vienna in the aftermath of terrorist attacks yesterday
• US election happening today - for peace and freedom of voting
• For UK Government as they plan for the next lockdown
This morning Jago spoke on Paul’s defence following his arrest, and what it is to be a “follower of the Way” from Acts 22:4. Paul uses his persecution as a platform to be the aroma of Christ, and as we approach another lockdown, he spoke about what I will look like for us not to dial out from our faith, but to live as a family of redeemed rebels.

• That we will bear fruit in all seasons
• For those struggling with job security, mental health, loneliness and fear of the future.
This morning, James spoke from Acts 21:32-39 on 'How to respond graciously when being misunderstood and falsely accused.'

• That we would have the grace to not respond in anger and indignation when we are falsely accused.
• That we would be amazed afresh at what Jesus has done for us in our lives so that we can’t help but share it with the people we come into contact with today even if it may seem awkward or difficult.

This morning, Josh Moxon spoke through Acts 19:35-41. He spoke about how Paul and his followers were found to be above reproach after they preached truth, preached faithfully and preached fearlessly - because of the power of Jesus in us, we can live that in our own lives too.

• Our world leaders to navigate the season we are in with Wisdom

• How we can be bold, persuasive and be used by God extraordinarily for his glory.
• Prayer for Christians in politics, that God would use them, raise them up as leaders and encourage them to be extraordinarily effective for his glory and the growth of his kingdom

• The empowering of God’s Spirit to help us be bold and courageous for him.

This morning we see some missional mentoring as we meet Apollos in Acts 18:24-28, with Priscilla and Aquila encouraging him where he understands the Word but not the Holy Spirit.
Jamie said the question is not so much do you have the Holy Spirit, but does the Holy Spirit have you? As we prayed, Jamie asked us to respond like Apollos:
• Powerful proclamation: My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power… (1 Corinthians 2:4)
• Prayerful progress: (prayer after Vision Sunday to see the vision grow) I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow. (1 Corinthians 3:6)
• Personal priority: … be filled with the Spirit… [continuously] (Ephesians 5:18)

Ros then led the time of prayer with promises found in scripture over our families and the current world situation. • 'Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you.' • 'He will turn your mourning to gladness, I will give them comfort and joy instead of sorrow.' • 'With God all things are possible.' • 'But the Lord is faithful and he will strengthen and protect you from all evil.'
Today Andy Dawes spoke from Acts 17: 1 - 9 and Jo led the time of prayer with these powerful words;
'Dear Father please show us where we can be reasoning with others and drawing new lives into your Kingdom. Move our hearts to make it a custom (like Paul) we long to repeat. Make us effective tools to spread the gospel of Jesus near and far. Show us where we can be putting more on the line because we’re desperate to share the gospel. Show us Lord where we are passive and highlight how we can be radical witnesses of your word, wherever you put us. Guide us where to go by your Holy Spirit for your gospel.'
This morning Tim Jones reminded us of how God has powerfully worked in our world and is still working. He called us to look to God in all circumstances and to be daily reminded of his faithfulness towards us.

We spent time praising God and worshiping him for who he is! 'Amazing love, how can it be, that thou my God should die for me. My chains fell off, my heart was free, I rose went forth and followed thee!'
Prayer points: • Respond to hearing God’s word with praise. • In the midst of the battle be attentive to the Holy Spirit with what he wants to teach you, and how you might impact others’ lives. • Even in the battle or on 'bad days', use praise as your weapon because Jesus is your victory • Demons flee at the name of Jesus and there is power in the name of Jesus
In episode 105, Lydia talks about how Jesus can set us free from the things that are enslaving us, as Paul did for the demon possessed girl. She then goes on to show us how we have can have ultimate freedom from our sins if we follow Jesus, trusting in his death and resurrection.
Prayer points: • Freedom for this struggling with mental health, spiritually or economically. • Eternal freedom, pray that through try church Sunday and Alpha people can know this eternal freedom through Jesus.
