Crossroads is a monthly gathering of Interfaith Alliance of Iowa. An opportunity to learn, to participate in civil dialogue, and to discuss issues at the crossroads of religion and politics.
Iowa State Auditor Rob Sand joined our group to discuss restoring faith and trust in our state government.
Crossroads was joined by Hieu Pham of Monsoon Asians & Pacific Islanders in Solidarity to discuss domestic violence in the API and immigrant communities. Monsoon is an organization serving victims/survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in Asian and Pacific Islander communities in Iowa.
Hieu is focused on addressing gender-based violence by providing direct services and performing systems advocacy and community outreach. She is a former journalist who worked as a government reporter for the Iowa City Press-Citizen and covered political news for Agence France-Presse. She has a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communications from the University of Iowa.
