Though Hebrews 6 unpacks six core principles—repentance from dead works, faith toward God, baptisms, laying on of hands, resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment—that trace the believer’s life from new birth to final destiny, we hone in our focus on Eternal Judgment.

True freedom isn’t about getting more options for oneself, but becoming free from the bondage of sin to walk in righteousness. Ever feel like modern Christianity is a buffet—plenty of options, little clarity on what truly matters? We step back from the noise and follow a trail the apostles left in plain sight, moving from belief to obedience with the Book of Acts as our map. Instead of debating labels and church traditions, we ask what Peter and Paul actually expected when they warned about not obeying the gospel, and we test our assumptions against the first-century church.
We begin with a clear definition of the gospel and a harder question: what does obeying that gospel look like? From Jerusalem to Samaria to the uttermost parts of the world, four scenes show a single, consistent response: repentance, water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ, and receiving the Holy Spirit. In Acts 2, Peter’s answer to “What shall we do?” is direct and practical. In Acts 8, Samaritans believe, are baptized, and receive the Spirit through the apostles’ hands. In Acts 10, the Spirit falls on Cornelius’ household before baptism, proving God welcomes the Gentiles—and Peter immediately commands water baptism. In Acts 19, Paul meets sincere "apparent" disciples, re-baptizes them in Jesus’ name, and lays his hands on them to receive the Spirit. Different places, cultures, and sequences—but one common obedience to the gospel of the kingdom.

Repentance stands as one of Christianity's most profoundly misinterpreted concepts. While many reduce it to mere apologies or expressions of regret, its true essence runs much deeper – it's about a fundamental transformation that redirects our entire life trajectory toward God.
"Change is the key," the teaching emphasizes. "Not saying 'I'm sorry.'" When someone repeatedly offends while continually apologizing, what we truly desire isn't their verbal remorse but for the hurtful behavior to stop completely. Similarly, God seeks not our words of apology but our transformed hearts and actions that demonstrate a genuine turning from sin toward righteousness.

And this revelation isn't for God's benefit (He already knows what's in our hearts), but for our own understanding of who we truly are.
Through powerful biblical examples—from the wilderness-wandering Israelites who revealed their unbelief when tested, to Job who blessed God even after losing everything, to Hannah who turned to prayer rather than bitterness when persecuted—we see how responses to adversity determine spiritual outcomes. “The Trinity”… ALMOST as old as the dawn of time. Definitely as old in human history as when man rejected their Creator and began to worship their own creation. The idea of “the Trinity” has so permeated our “religious thought” that most religions over the past several millennia have come to accept its validity. The scriptures instruct us that if anyone desires the position of a bishop, that number one, that's a good thing, but also number two, they must meet certain qualifications (all found in 1 Tim 3). This episode looks at the characteristics and attributes of good leaders and the qualities they should have to gain the trust of those supporting them and the work that needs to be accomplished.
Leadership is influence. Though all of these principles are found in the scriptures for leaders, they apply to all of us in all of our settings. Jesus is the prototype we should all follow.

This episode highlights the history of the Israelites from Ezra and Nehemiah’s perspectives. We observe the Lord’s faithfulness to His word and His people, regardless of their faithlessness, even amidst their faithlessness.
Reviewing the words of the law caused a heavy spirit of conviction, sorrow, and grief to fall on them. The people of God began to fast, confess their sins and that of their fathers, and worship the Lord their God. This response resulted in true repentance, which always acknowledges the truth, and takes responsibility for where they have erred.

The Word (of God) is akin to the water or snow that falls on the earth and when it gets mixed with the earth (the faith of man), eventually it brings forth the fruit that the Word declared from heaven intended. The Word, with the cooperation and willing submission of man, is to execute the Lord's will (His pleasure), show the Lord's ways (His manner of life), and manifest God's works in the earth. One of the most important things for young men of God to find out, as early as possible, is their responsibility in this life that they have been given. When it’s all been said, and it’s all been done, and the race is run, we all will be held accountable for what we have done with the life our God has graciously and mercifully given to us.
We live in an age and culture (America) where “rights” are exalted… "I have the right to speak what I want, the right to bear arms, the right to our religious exercise, the right to play all kinds of music, eat whatever I want" and so on and so forth. However, the word of God speaks contrary to that in that our “responsibilities” in this life supersede our “rights” to do as we please or personally see fit.
From its very inception, family (marriage) has been created in God, by God, for God and the establishment of His purposes and the fulfillment of His Word in the earth. Since every man has a calling, they must come to know their calling and find a woman whose heart complements that calling of responsibility in order to help fulfill it.

In this lesson, we connect the dots in the gospel of John to discern the prophetic emphasis of the gift of God, the Living Water, the promise of the Father, the Holy Spirit given to those that believe in Him. Jesus confronts and deals with our sin first, so repentance is required from us. Whether we are young or old, we are all infected with this alien presence… it’s evil, and it’s not the devil. It’s sin. It’s infected all our conscious and visible aspects, body and mind. We are wholly not worthy! There is nothing in us that is valuable, we are corrupt, within ourselves there is this constant bickering, fighting, disagreement, second-guessing, uncertainty, and insecurity. Day by day, we are getting older, and nearer to death.
Bishop, elder, Dr., teacher, nurse, marketer, stay-at-home mom… we are all unworthy, damaged goods. Yet the paradox remains… we are still CHOSEN by Him who is WORTHY! YOU ARE NOT A MISTAKE and God’s choosing of you is NOT A MISTAKE!
He doesn’t choose us because of our inherent value. He chooses us because His purpose and will supersede our unworthiness. He chooses us because he knows by His foreknowledge that we are going to respond to His calling.

This particular teaching comes from the well-known book of Ruth. However, in my humble opinion, the focus is really on Naomi, the mother-in-law of Ruth, and the ramifications of the decision Ruth made to remain with Naomi. Nevertheless, the poignant story of these two women is one of the few accounts of the scriptures that focuses on women and how the Lord Sees (El Roi) their bitter plight in life and shows Himself mighty and faithful to them when they show themselves faithful to Him and each other.

We close out our series addressing how the removal God from our lives continues to lead to increasing numbers of mental health issues. Also, rather than seeing influence of the Church on the world, we are now seeing a greater degree of influence of the world on the Church because the world and many saints are succumbing to the seductress, the immoral woman who tempts all the world to sin. This harlot is leading countless souls to the deep pit of hell. We look the examples of Samson, Joseph, and Lot on how to deal with this seductress, but we can't ignore and neglect that we are fallen and have the inherent propensity to sin.
Yet above all this, there is still hope, forgiveness, and blessing that is reserved for the man or woman who will repent and receive the sacrifice of Jesus as the offering for our sin. The person that will cry out to Him in humility for mercy and forgiveness, acknowledging his own sin and resting in His tender mercies and lovingkindness. This is for the man who will after all this, will present himself, his own members, as slave of righteousness for holiness from now on, ever after.

Insecurities come from comparisons, yet Wisdom says to us, "For we dare not class ourselves or compare ourselves with those who commend themselves. But they, measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise." Social media, for young people, can amplify our insecurities because of our immaturity. Peer pressure only adds to this burden. We also touch upon "manifesting" and its connection to new age, occult, and metaphysics that is outside of dependency on God, yet it tries to mix biblical principles with repeated actions on your part until you get what you want and it manifests.

We have been bought with a price we can never repay and our only reasonable service is to present ourselves daily to the Lord as a holy and acceptable living sacrifice.
The overarching principle of all these topics is the following scripture:
Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are. (1 Co4 3:16-17)

This episode starts off by briefly recapping where we have come from thus far in this series, but before we get back to our series and share our conversation on divorce, I wanted to take the liberty of using the first part of this episode to share with you some interesting information that I came across lately that I feel was important to share about marriage and family. I also wanted to share my personal experience of being raised up in a divorced family. Although, I have shared my testimony in previous episodes, there are some deeper details here that I have not shared in previous testimonies. Every member in the body must recognize the value, the gifts, the anointing of God in other members of the body. We must find ways to edify one another so that we can all come to the unity of the faith and the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, mature in Him.
Growth in the body does not happen exclusively and altogether independently of the surrounding parts of the body. Every aspect of the body is interdependent and grows in conjunction with one another. No member of the body is higher or more important than another. Every body member fulfills the purpose and capabilities in which they were made (there calling), working harmoniously with one another that the whole body would grow, be edified and blessed.
The highest calling of each member of the body is not to become an apostle, or prophet, or evangelist, or pastor, or teacher, or deacon, or bishop, or a person functioning with helps, or administrations, or miracles, or gifts of healings, or varieties of tongues… it is solely to be a son of God, an express representation of Christ, through His body on earth and in eternity.

We are not justified by the works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ, for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified (Gal 2:16). It's important that at various times in our life we do a spiritual "check up". We must always guard our heart from the tares the enemy is trying to sow in us. It is an honorable thing that we wrestle against doubt and unbelief. Admit it. It’s a sign that you are fighting the good fight of faith & working out your own salvation with fear and trembling. A sign that your are not growing complacent in your faith walk. We are all human and have yet to be perfected by the love of God, which is the agent of perfection in us. So make every effort today, and every day, to not harden your heart to His voice.

The dead are all around us. In our culture, the dead are called zombies. Hollywood portrays them as being unable to recognize how hideous, decrepit, and wicked they are and they are always out to get the living to turn them into the walking dead.
However, Jesus said, "the hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God; and those who hear will live." You would think that the opposite of the wise and faithful servant is the unwise/foolish and faithless servant. However, when Jesus spoke of this servant, he contrasted it with the evil servant. If you don't know the will of the Lord, by default, you will most likely not be doing the will of the Lord. So, understanding the will of the Lord is vital to giving one the opportunity to make the decision for oneself to either be a wise and faithful servant or an evil servant.

In the conclusion of this four-part series, we look at miracles while driving... behind slow-pokes, Marie's miracle while driving home, driving home from a tent revival meeting and being taken care of by "angels" from nowhere who would not accept repayment. Elder Rayford also explains what is meant by, "I am fully aware that God will do nothing in the earth except by the word of him to whom he has given dominion in the earth", the spoken word of man and being followed by the mystery light. We conclude with why he promised the Lord to "believe Him for the most incredible, unbelievable, out of logic, having no reason or rationale in what He is most liable to do, as long as His Word in no way indicated differently."

Looking at the testimony of Elijah and how he confronted Ahab, the 450 prophets of Baal, and did a work with the Lord to turn the hearts of the people to God again. Yet, everyone fears something... even Elijah, who ran from the words of a woman named Jezebel. God uses that to confront Elijah on things Elijah must deal with, within himself.
So while God is using us to do His will, in the midst of being used by the Lord, He is also using that to sharpen us.

In this lesson, we review and analyze how despicable acts of the saints of old caused relationship issues. When someone has committed offenses (both unwilling and purposeful), many times the difficulty is not in forgiving a person in the Lord, rather it’s trusting that person again. Trust issues are a consequence of previous poor behavior. When trust is broken, it's very difficult to regain. We conclude with counsel that can help develop that trust again.

Man, both male and female, fell in sin. They were unable to walk with Him and were separated from Him due to their disobedience. All mankind through the sin of Adam, being both male and female, all died because they all sinned. The light that we once walked in is gone from us… and without Him who is light, we walk in darkness and love the darkness. Hence, the image of God has been marred in man. But the light has returned to man through the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. If we receive the light, then He can translate us from darkness into the light and transform us into a new creation.

We begin this podcast by looking at the revelation found in 1 Samuel 16:6-7 and the difference between how man sees and judges and how God sees and judges. Beware of the base and fallen inclination of man. We should not be so quick to judge, especially before the time, because what may not be apparent presently, may actually be found on the day of the Lord. For good and for evil, the deception is real. We need to trust that when it all comes down to it, we need to wait on the Lord and trust His judgment because He alone knows the hearts of men. We also need to trust when He judges. Let's not get ahead of His judgment because appearances can be deceiving.

Contrary to carnal public opinion, the love of God is demanding of us... and yet it is pure. He truly is a jealous God and an all-consuming fire. To think otherwise is to be ignorant of the ferocious love that He has for you. The love of God will either melt your pride, so that He can mold you into the image He has called you to, or consume you. You will either surrender yourself into His love or harden yourself from it. It truly is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of a living God.
We live a life on this earth that is a process of letting go of what we have, in order to obtain something greater, something bigger, something beyond imagination that we can’t see or touch. It can only be obtained by faith… by losing the life we now have for the promise of a greater one on the other side.

The meaning of faith, from Old Covenant to New Covenant, is unchanged.
Jesus said, "Whoever comes to Me, and hears My sayings and does them, I will show you whom he is like: He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. "
- Dig deep by building your life on the foundation of God's word.
- Commit yourself to the principle of obedience. When you hear God's word, obey.
- Be ready, be watchful, and always be doing the Lord's will as a lifestyle of daily living.
This is what it is to "dig deep", and in doing so, you will be considered a "wise man" indeed.

We begin this episode by talking about the meaning of foreshadowing and how we have experienced that in notable books or movies. However, from the beginning of creation, the originator of foreshadowing was our Creator, Jesus. We hone in on biblical elements of the Spirit, the water, and the blood that have progressively and repeatedly been used to bear witness in the earth (1 Jn 5:8) from Old Covenant to New Covenant.
The Spirit of the Lord is creating, leading, and guiding. The water was tied to separating, cleansing, saving, and destroying. The blood is tied to marking, a debt of payment, suffering, and covering. These three agree as one in the earth and the means by which we are saved.

Now we come to the conclusion of this series with my holiday take. Up to this point, I simply wanted to share testimony from others who have decided to walk differently, against the tide of the mainstream. I also wanted to share historical information that I simply believe needs to be taken into consideration when you are going before the Lord in regards to participating in these holidays, specifically Halloween, Christmas and, Easter.
In the end, I hope after listening to what is shared, that you will at least have a cause for pause and re-consider participating in holidays that at the very least are of questionable origins and over time have become overtly anti-Christ, which does not just mean against Christ, but it also means in substitution of Christ.

From Genesis chapter 3 onward, we have all lived in a less than ideal situation, not because we do not live in a state of existence where everything God made was “good” and “very good”, or because we are not living in that glorious paradise that only two people had come to know, or because we lost the responsibility God had given us for each other and the earth… but simply because we lost fellowship with our Father our Creator.
How is it that in this life we can all share these devolving family situations from 2 parent father/mother family to 1 parent family, to a divorced family, a family that suffers from domestic abuse, sexual abuse, drug abuse, pornography, adultery, and fornication in our families and still be able to come out of this life victorious?
All of these are less than ideal situations, but they can be redeemed. God is able to convert our less-than-ideal situations to ideal situations. Listen to find out how.

In this episode, we look at the difference between responsibility and purpose. We sometimes interchange those terms, but in the perspective of this teaching, we see how in this life being responsible in the little things leads us to attain the eternal purpose for which we have been apprehended by Christ Jesus our Lord and Creator.
Purpose is an object to be reached, a goal, an aim, the ideal, or an end result… Destiny. In contrast, responsibility is the duty, or obligation that one has and is held accountable for. It is our duty, obligation, and responsibility to hear Him and obey. FAITH is what is in the middle of our responsibility and our purpose and destiny in Him. Faith is the means to the end.

We consider the memorable saints of old: Noah, Abram/Abraham, Sarai/Sarah, Samson, Moses, David, Elijah, Peter, Paul and consider the grave wickedness they committed, we might come to a moment of sobriety and consider asking ourselves, "Does anyone DESERVE a second chance?"
It should be sobering to all of us when we see that, from the best of the fathers in the faith to the worst, God extended His great mercy to His people. They have accepted the responsibility of their actions, their sins, and they cried out to the only One who could cleanse them, redeem them and save them to the uttermost. They received second chances not because they deserved it, but because God chose to extend His mercy and His righteousness to the unworthy. They are then called BLESSED because their sins have been forgiven and not remembered against them anymore because they have placed their faith in Him.
You can partake of this as well today if you will do the same. In doing so, you can make yourself a candidate for a second chance just as they did.

In this episode, we trace examples of the remnant from 1 Kings and the generation that existed during the reign of King Ahab and Elijah the prophet. Then we move forward about 200 years to the generation that existed when Isaiah the prophet lived and we start to observe the attributes that make one a candidate to be the remnant of a generation that remains faithful to the Lord their God. We move forward approximately another 200 years to the days of Zechariah to see the remnant of the day and the covenant the Lord has with them. We move forward another approximate 100 years to the days Ezra and how the remnant must take responsibility for their past actions because the remnant is as guilty as all mankind, but the only difference is that the remnant humble themselves, pray, seek His face and turn from their wicked ways. The Lord of the remnant responds by forgiving their sin, healing their land, and setting His mark on them.

Today’s episode will be a very different episode from any previously released episodes. It’s actually a time of ministry that ended in song. In the hopes that you will have a greater appreciation and understanding of this message, I must share that it was a period of time in my life in which I was going through a great deal of turmoil. My wife and I were spiritually devastated at the events that were transpiring in our home with one of our children. My heart was utterly broken, and I was seriously entertaining thoughts of removing myself from ministry altogether. I felt disqualified as an elder due to circumstances that took place under my watch in my own home. In all the 23+ years of marriage, it was, by far and away, the lowest and arduous season in my life.
It is in light of this brief summary that I ask you to listen to the word of ministry that came from the book of Joshua and listen to the words of the song that followed. The song was originally written and performed by Jason Upton. In this episode, I actually sing it, but it was very difficult for me to sing. I was so choked up about the moment I was experiencing and hearing the Lord that morning speak to me a word that I needed to hear for myself in answer to many dilemmas that were swirling about in my heart was extremely profound and uplifting.

The hidden foundation of any structure is the most important part of any structure. Like that of a home, the foundation must be thick, strong, stable, and secure in order for it to properly and adequately hold up what will be built upon it. If not, no matter how elaborate, exquisite, fanciful, or grand the structure is, it will inevitably fall and the destruction of it will long outlive the memory of it. The same is true with any disciple of Jesus.

How is it that the Lord takes imperfect men to do a perfect work? How is it that he is capable of taking the weak and beggarly elements of this world to negate the powers of the prince of darkness?
The primary purpose for the struggles in our life is to develop our testimony of Him. He puts us through difficult experiences so that we may testify of His goodness and faithfulness toward us who believe in Him and fear Him.
The victory is not always attained by winning every battle (game). Victory in this life is attained through holding fast to our faith, enduring to the end.
God uses the paradoxes of our lives to confound the wise. The apparent contradictions are used to confound the mighty... and having us know intimately our own faults causes us to not glory in ourselves in His presence.
Are things in your life not going exactly as you thought they would or as you planned them to? Don’t lose hope in the Word of God. His testimonies are true and faithful.
If the Lord had not been on our side all our enemies would have swallowed us alive. If the Lord had not been on our side, all the raging waters and the mighty floods would have swept over us. So, don’t give up… don’t give in… if you don’t quit, you win… you win!!!

In this episode, you get to hear a spirit of prophecy as I share the testimony of Jesus in my life. We conclude our series in the principles of the doctrine of Christ with eternal judgment. We begin our conclusion with arguably the #1 sin that keeps many from finishing the race to enter into the kingdom of God eternal, unforgiveness.
We also address the question, "Can a Christian fall away"? We consider the popular doctrine, "Once Saved, Always Saved" from a strictly biblical perspective and contrast the biblical validity of eternal security vs eternal judgment.
Lastly, we look at the significance and importance of the Great White Throne Judgment.

The common thread that connects all the principles of the doctrine of Christ is that they are focused on the salvation of an individual, from the moment he or she is born again to eternity. The last two principles are the only possible outcomes of mankind, whether they were born again or not, the resurrection of the deador eternal judgment. The final principle of the doctrine of Christ is eternal judgment. As alluded to in the previous study, the Resurrection of the Dead and Eternal Judgment contrast one another. The Resurrection of the Dead has to do with the reward of the righteous. In contrast, the doctrine of eternal judgment has to do with the reward of the unrighteous. The resurrection of the unjust are those who will spend eternity in torment in the lake of fire with the devil and all his minions.

This additional part to the resurrection of the dead shows how Jesus set the example to live a life resurrected now. The kingdom of God in us is a revelation that is going to grow until it completely manifests for all people to see, and taste for themselves of the fruit. We are not just people that say we believe in Christ or a resurrected Christ. The world needs to see a living Christ in us and taste and see for themselves that Jesus is alive. This is something that if we allow God to do it in us, we can live a resurrected life now and attain to the resurrection of the dead.

We begin by summarizing how we ended our last teaching, in order to connect it with this concluding segment on the resurrection of the dead. A seed dies first to bring forth life to grow. That is why resurrection can be seen in nature in the seeds planted because through the death of the seed, it brings forth the life of the tree and later brings forth the fruit. God sowed in them (in us) the seed, which was Christ, and because they (we) obeyed the gospel. Christ died in their (our) place and they (we) died in Him, and this has allowed that seed to grow them (us). Day by day they (we) grow more and more conformed into the image of Jesus Christ.
This is a description of what will happen to us at the resurrection of the just (righteous). We will be changed: from mortal to immortality, from corruptible to incorruptible, from earthy to heavenly, from the first man Adam a living soul to the last Adam (Jesus Christ) a quickening spirit, from a natural body to a spiritual body, from weakness to power, from dishonor to glory. We want to be found accepted by Him so when the time comes will be clothed in that eternal body from heaven.
This is the resurrection of the dead.

We continue our study in the principles of the doctrine of Christ and conclude the doctrine of baptisms. Why baptism in water and in Spirit? Death and burial are necessary to be resurrected. We cannot be resurrected into a new life in Christ Jesus without dying first. So both baptism in water and in the Spirit are necessary and are essential to becoming born again (John 3:3-5).

We continue to look at the Man Jesus Christ through the eyes of the apostles, but our focus shifts from Paul to Peter, Thomas, and John. As we continue to bring multiple witnesses testifying of the true identity of this Man, we are reminded of the scriptures that state, "by the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established." As we close out Repentance from Dead Works, we have to address what is true biblical faith. Faith and works are and have always been from Old Covenant to New Covenant inseparable. Since that is true, what works are we talking about? It sure can't be dead works. This podcast will share that revelation and conclude that repentance from dead works is turning away from self-initiated, self-empowered, and self-righteous works and turning toward a complete dependency on the Spirit of God by faith for initiating Spirit-led works and thus fulfilling His righteousness in us.

God's house is His temple. His temple is the place where He resides and presently He resides in His body - the Church. God has the responsibility of building His house or else we will labor in vain trying to build something that cannot be made with human hands. The foundation of this house is the stone which the "builders" rejected. Jesus is the foundation of the house of God, and it was His purposeful doing that made this possible.
This house is built upon the principles of the doctrine of Christ. God uses His church, the body of Christ, as the tools and instruments to raise up the pillars, walls, and roof of His house. We, by the anointing of Christ, must make sure that those in the kingdom have a confident understanding of obtaining eternal life through repentance and the born-again experience of the water and the Spirit (John 3:5). This must be done so that their connection to the foundation is stable, solid, and secure in order to grow in an upward direction.
We want to take this time to explain and expound on the significance of entering into the New Covenant established by Jesus Christ. This is where we seek the understanding and importance of what we, and many early believers starting in the 1st century to the present day, partook in through faithful and blind obedience to the gospel preached by Jewish apostles. The apostles were commanded by Jesus, through the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:2), to preach the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. They knew of and expected only one valid response to that gospel – repent (death), be baptized in the name of Jesus (death & burial), and receive the Holy Spirit (resurrection).

The great heresy of the "Theology of this Age" and its gospel is that wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to eternal life. In other words, the way to obtain eternal life is easy because the path to take is so wide and roomy to walk upon. You can do just about anything you want, or think just about anything you want to think, to obtain eternal life. However, scripture is very clear. The instructions on entering and seeing the kingdom of God are quite specific. It involves trust in Jesus Christ and obedience to His commands given through the apostles by the Spirit (Acts 1:2), more specifically, obedience to the commands of the gospel that the apostles preached. This gospel of Jesus Christ is summed up in the three-fold witness that is one act of obedience: Repentance, baptism in the name of Jesus to the forgiveness of sins, and receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost. This is the New Covenant to His church, but it is actually a greater revelation of the components (elements) of the Old Covenant which always included: the blood, the water, and the Spirit (1 John 5:8). The heresy of this day is that many believe that they are not required to obey these commands of old, given by the apostles. They believe in their own works and their own understandings and they reject the knowledge that is graciously given to them.

This particular episode will set the stage for our study series entitled, A Walk Through Acts. We begin by asking some questions that need addressing, such as, when did the disciples receive the gift of the Holy Ghost? Can you receive Jesus in your heart separate and apart from receiving the Spirit or what is referred to as the baptism of the Holy Ghost? Why do some teach that the disciples received the Spirit in John 20:21-23 and yet they were told to wait in Jerusalem for the promise of the Father? These and more questions are addressed as we are introduced to A Walk Through Acts.

Throughout the 3 years of His ministry, Jesus taught the multitude in parables. In doing so, He fulfilled prophecy spoken through Isaiah the prophet. When studying the Parable of the Sower some may focus on the sower or the seed, or the differing grounds the seed fell on, but all are important and all will be touched upon in this teaching.
