I have a lot of healthcare professionals in my network with different titles and different routes of arriving at their chosen careers. I also held a few different titles on my way to PA becoming a PA-C. Here, I will be your agent and guide as we navigate this boulevard together. Douce Kakpovi is a registered nurse with 8 years of experience in various fields of nursing. She earned her associate degree in nursing in 2015 from Montgomery college and went on to receive her Bachelors degree in nursing at chamberlain university. She has experience in nurse case management, home care and bedside nursing. She currently works in Maryland with the goal of promoting patient independence using evidence-based practice. Jessica Reed is a nurse and healthcare manager with over 10 years of experience in the healthcare industry. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in African-American studies from UCLA, a nursing degree from Pasadena City College, and a Master’s degree in Business Administration Healthcare Management from Western Governors University.
Throughout her career, Jessica has worked in a variety of healthcare settings, including hospitals, clinics, and long-term care facilities. She also worked as a Health Communications Project Manager for iDREAM for Racial Health Equity. She has experience managing healthcare teams and has a reputation for being a skilled and effective leader.
In her current role as a healthcare manager at Kaiser Permanente, Jessica oversees the day-to-day operations of two departments, ensuring that all staff members are providing high-quality care to patients. She is responsible for managing budgets, developing policies and procedures, and implementing new programs and initiatives to improve patient outcomes.
Jessica is passionate about improving the quality of healthcare in her community and has been involved in several community health initiatives. She is constantly looking to implement new technologies and practices to serve underrepresented communities.
In her free time, Jessica enjoys working out, watching reality TV, and spending time with family and friends. She is dedicated to her patients and is committed to providing the highest level of care to everyone she serves.

Kimberly started her journey in the medical field at 19 years old with first becoming a medical assistant. She as almost 25 years of different levels of medical training. 15 years as an Licensed Vocational Nurse and 10 years as a Bachelorette Registered Nurse in Emergency Room, Neuro Stroke Telemetry and currently working as a triage advice nurse specialist. Nursing has been a passion and a special calling of Kimberly's.

Angel Iwuoma, MSN, RN, PHN is a woman with a desire to serve people in any capacity! Angel is a Registered Nurse in California and Angel when she is not working on a medical-surgical/telemetry floor, she works as Adjunct Faculty at a local university where she instructs and prepares nursing students to enter the profession. In her free time, she loves to dance, listen to gospel music, cook, hang out with loved ones, go to concerts, and watch reality TV to destress. All in all, her mission is to use her mind, heart, and soul to deliver quality, patient-centered care.

Rodeline Joseph is Physician Assistant-turned-Tech Entrepreneur, who recently launched Medsembly, an Atlanta-based startup on a mission to digitally connect healthcare students with qualified mentors in their respective fields.
For background, Rodeline's family migrated from Haiti to Florida when she was a young child. As a first-generation college student pursuing an intensive career in healthcare and a student of color, she felt lost and struggled academically (went from being straight-A high school student to scoring only Cs and Ds on college exams, leading her to question her abilities). Like others, she persevered and eventually prevailed, but a decade later, she believes that unfortunately, not much has changed for those aspiring students who may not have savvy connections established.
Rodeline has since dedicated her life to helping students who are interested in becoming Physician Assistants, doctors, nurses, and pharmacists by forming relationships with professionals who’ve been there and are still doing it today. Medsembly is an interactive app platform that invites students to share resources, receive tips and tricks for maximizing their educational experiences, and meet working professionals who offer real-world advice to help them achieve their unique goals. Rodeline is also addressing the healthcare labor shortage by helping to strengthen the talent pool of next-gen workers.

Narmeen is a new graduate occupational therapist who is passionate about enabling independence in the day to day life of her patients. She is interested in working in rehabilitation and acute settings, especially working with neurological conditions. She has acquired this passion from the majority of her under graduate experiences, which have been mostly acute settings. She is passionate about working with adults to enable independence and achieve a greater quality of life! Dr. Harrell-Sims is a professor, researcher, a practicing clinical herbalist, holistic life coach and is the owner of J. Harrell-Sims, Holistic Health Practitioner, LLC. She received her PhD in Human Services, with a specialization on African American Family Studies and Intervention Strategies. In 2010, Dr. Harrell-Sims was granted a distinguished Fulbright Fellowship to the University of Dar es Salaam, in Tanzania, East Africa. As a lifelong community advocate, Dr. Sims is a clinical herbalist and drugless practitioner, who answered the call holistically as a response to the inequities in health care for her community. Rutendo is a Zimbabwean occupational therapist with 9 years experience. She is a single mum of three, who has defied all odds to pursue her career and change her children's lives for better. Leaving her youngest son at the age of 3months with her mum, she migrated to United Arab Emirates (Abu Dhabi), where she worked as an OT in a long term care facility, with ventilated patients for two years. She then migrated to Australia together with her children, where she's currently working as an Occupational therapist. Her passion is to become a pediatric OT as she adores helping children achieve maximum potential in their physical, social and emotional wellbeing.

Julia Sieff is an outreach EMT working with the homeless population of South Central Los Angeles. She graduated from the University of California Santa Cruz in 2019 and is currently studying Pre-Medicine and General Science studies at UCLA Extension. Julia brings her EMT skills directly to her patients by providing wound care and health education on the streets of LA. She is preparing to apply to graduate school for a Master's in physician assistant studies, after which she plans to continue to provide accessible, high-quality health care to the underserved.

Jasmine has been serving in the field of mental health for more than 10 years in Southern California. She received her Bachelor of Social Work from CSULA in 2010 and worked with victims of domestic violence. She obtained her Master of Social Work from Azusa Pacific University in the advanced standing program graduating Eta Iota Phi Alpha Honors Social Work Society in 2011. Jasmine has experience working in nonprofits with severely emotionally disturbed children, adolescents, and adults in community-based mental health, outpatient programs, school-based settings, and Federally Qualified Health Centers with diverse populations and various socioeconomic statuses. Philip Jean is a board certified Licensed Acupuncturist based in New York City. He has been in practice for almost 8 years. He's been running a successful clinic called Lifestyle Acupuncture since 2015. Dr. Vaughan spent decades working as an EMT/Paramedic in emergency departments, trauma centers, and as a first responder. Eventually he realized his passion was in holistic medicine and he retired as a firefighter to go back to school for integrative medicine. Now he is an NCCAOM National Board Certified Diplomate of Oriental Medicine and licensed Acupuncture Physician.
He specializes in movement and sports medicine, leveraging his knowledge and experience as both an athlete and a coach. For years, he competed in CrossFit and in the Firefighter Combat Challenge, so he knows what it means to strive for health and wellness as an athlete and what it requires to recover from injury. He has had his fair share of injuries, and can relate to what most of his patients are going through!
He enjoys working with athletes and providing healthcare to help them achieve their goals, maintain wellness, and recover from injury and trauma to perform at their best. However, his practice is not exclusive to athletes because injuries and the need for mobility are not exclusive to athletes. His background and certifications emphasize movement and mobility, which can be a concern for anyone at any age.

Natalie Mahne is a respiratory Therapist. Dr. Joshua Pickell is a Chiropractor serving the community of Los Angeles. He graduated Cum Laude from Life Chiropractic College West with a Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) degree in 2020. Chiropractic school gave him an opportunity to learn all about the art, science, and philosophy of chiropractic medicine. Calvin Lee, MA, OTR/L is an Occupational Therapist! He is currently licensed and certified, and is taking a year to complete my OTD (Doctorate in Occupational Therapy) Degree.
