In this episode of the Wardrobe Boss podcast, host Eliza Perilla chats with Melanie Deck, the former head designer for the New York City-based brand Ecru. They discuss the brand's target customer, the Ecru woman, who values being on-trend and looking good. Melanie explains how Ecru fills a gap in the market by offering strong staples and functional pieces that are both stylish and comfortable. She emphasizes the importance of fit and special details in their designs. Melanie also highlights the benefits of having an all-woman design team and how customer feedback drives continuous improvement. They discuss the 2023 fall collection, which includes suiting and a range of fabrics and prints.*Melanie is no longer with Ecru. This discussion occurred in the fall of 2023
