Lauren Agree attended a festival in Tennessee one July weekend in 2015. She did not return home. Her body was found floating in the nearby lake. Police investigated and quickly determined her death was a tragic accident. Yet several members of the investigating department publicly stated this was foul play, not an accident. Police have adamantly and arrogantly refused to reopen their investigation, but there are many unanswered questions regarding Lauren's last night alive. And we approach each and every one of those questions in this week's episode.

Tim Molnar was a typical teenager in the 1980s who was working towards his dream of becoming an aircraft mechanic. Until, that is, he disappeared. For over a decade. This young resident of Daytona Beach, Florida, would be found dead, frozen in the backwoods of Wisconsin over ten years later. In almost 40 years, no one has been able to figure out what caused Tim to leave home or how he ended up a frozen corpse in rural Wisconsin.

One thing you can always trust about the Soviet Union was it had its share of secrets. Most of which were horrible and monstrous. And this is one of those secrets. The Nazino Affair was a plan to relocate some citizens from urban areas to the Russian wilderness in an effort to develop new agricultural centers for the Motherland. While that doesn't sound so bad on paper, the way the story went down makes it read like a nightmare instead of a fairytale.

Clementine Barnabet was a poor, young black woman living in Louisiana in the early 1900s. During her late teenage years, a series of brutal murders began occurring throughout the area. While her father was initially arrested and tried for the killings, police soon took Clementine into custody after finding a blood-soaking dress hidden in Clementine's room. She later went on to confess to being a serial killer - despite the fact the killings the continued while she was in custody. This episode explores the questionable investigation and conviction of Clementine and how she managed to vanish from prison.

Dana Laskowski had just been through a tough divorce and had moved to a small town in Washington in an effort to begin life anew. And all was going great for her. She found a nice house for her and her triplets. She found a wonderful job as a nanny for a local couple. And she felt truly happy. However, at the end of August in 2001, police would find Dana dead on her couch from a brutal attack and robbery. Despite having multiple suspects, police couldn't link anyone to this crime - until they decided to investigate the most unlikely suspect.

Lauren Bloomer was an intelligent, funny, beloved young woman who had recently fallen for Jake Notman. The two instantly clicked. The both had a deep love of video games and seemed to bond over the fact. Before long they had moved in together and were ecstatic when they were one of the lucky few who were able to secure a PS5 on release day in the UK! They planned their night of video game magic, but sadly, things went horribly wrong. Jake ended up killing Lauren, and though he had no memory of the event, Lauren's phone recorded the entire horrible incident. What happened to cause Jake to kill his girlfriend?

Elliot Rodger could have been anything he wanted to be in life. Instead, he chose to become a self-hating, misogynistic, mass shooter. He was described as a deeply withdrawn person and believed women would never date him despite he failure to ever ask a single woman out. Carlee Russell stopped on I-459 South in Hoover, Alabama, at approximately 9:30 pm because she saw a toddler wandering on the side of the road. Jake Davison was a bit of a socially awkward kid growing up who found joy in only one thing: guns. His counselor tried to direct this rather unhealthy obsession into something positive, but ultimately Jake lived and breathed guns. As he got older, he found a new interest - the intel subculture. These two forged Jake's personality into one of being a victim who was angry and looking for revenge. Sadly, Jake's story ends when he takes his own life, after killing five other people.

Natalia Grace Barnett was adopted by the Barnett family in 2009 and the ultimate "this can't be true" story began. Though her records indicated she was only six years old, the family began finding red flag after red flag indicating that she may be older. Much older. Adult age even. For the next decade, the Barnett family struggled to learn the truth while dealing with the difficulties of having an allegedly unwell adopted child in their care. The situation resolved when Natalia was abandoned in an apartment by the Barnetts - or so the family thought. In March 2011, a horrific crime occurred at the Lululemon store in Bethesda, Maryland. Two men attacked the two closing female employees, killing one and leaving the other one broken from a physical, sexual, and psychological assault. The crime scene was draped in blood and carnage. The survivor was able to recount some details, but was too shaken to be a significant source of information. Shockingly, the next door Apple Store employees heard the attacks and did nothing to help. Over eight days, detectives worked tirelessly before finally breaking the case open. And the murderers were the last people police suspected.

Brandon Hole committed a mass shooting on April 15, 2021 in Indianapolis, Indiana. He killed eight people, wounded four others, before turning his weapon on himself. Sadly, this crime was completely avoidable. Brandon had been suffering from severe mental health issues and had an inability to control his rage since he was a pre-teen. Even police had warned his mother that Brandon was showing all the signs of a mass shooter. Yet nothing was even done to help this young man.

Ali Abulaban, better know by his social media handle JinnKid, seemed to have a wonderful life. He had a beautiful wife, an adorable daughter, and made money doing what he loved - being funny and creative on TikTok. To the outside world, all seemed well. Behind the lens, however, his man was a monster, a controlling and abusive husband, addicted to drugs and prone to fits of violence. Abulaban put his wife on a pedestal that was truly a cage. When she tried to break free, he couldn't tolerate the possibility of her ending up with another man.

Earle Ferral was never given a fair chance in life. His dad didn't want to be a dad, his mom enjoyed alcohol more than being a mom, and both died before he was 6 months old. Earle's grandmother began raising him, but insisted on instilling a fear of God in him. Years later, Earle was suffer a traumatic brain injury that went untreated, causing him to view life a bit different. He suffered a second brain injury as a young adult and became a monster afterwords. This young man kept the entire west coast of the United States frozen in fear as he killed at will and at seemingly random locations. No one could stop him. And this is his story.

The murder of Emmitt Till is one of the great tragedies and most heinous acts in US history. This black teenager from Chicago was kidnapped, beaten, maimed, tortured, and finally killed. And for what? Maybe for flirting with a white woman. This is a very difficult episode to listen to, but it is a very important episode as it shows what happens when hate is allowed to exist freely in a society. When laws are made solely to oppress a minority. How horrible life can be when the system is rigged against you.
We truly hope this episode reaches far and wide so all of mankind can see what hate looks like.

The Forty Elephants is arguably the greatest criminal enterprise lost to history. This group tormented London and surrounding regions for decades, maybe even centuries. Their members lived like queens because they were never caught in any of the major crimes they committed. Al Kite was the stereotypical nice guy. His friends loved being around him, his neighbors claimed he would always be happy to help move of couch or help with a plumbing problem, and his coworkers claimed he was kind, patient, and wise. He was a great guy who was beloved by all.
Sadly, this meant he was less suspicious of people, and this proved to be his downfall. He was murdered in cold blood in a gruesome way, seemingly for no reason. To this day, there are no suspects in this case or even a motive for his murder. An unbelievable act of evil destroyed this kind man. Javed Iqbal is a legendary serial killer - because he was such a monster. After an alleged (and likely fabricated) run-in with police that supposably left him severally injured, he vowed to get revenge on society by killing 100 children, so 100 mothers would have to cry as his died. And he made good on his promise. In 1999, in a span of just six months, he managed to murder 100 boys under the age of 16. Tony and Susan Alamo opened a church in the 1960s in an effort to help those living in the streets in Los Angeles. While this sounded like a noble pursuit, it was essentially a way for the pair to build their business empire tax free and with slave labor. When the pair moved their "church" to Arkansas in the 1970s, things got so much worse for the Hotel California themed congregation as they lived in squalor, were provided with small amounts of food and water, and were expected to work for the church up to 20 hours per day. And yet, this summary leaves out the worst of the worst committed by these wackos. So sit for a spell and learn about a cult that you've probably never heard of. It's a good way to kill an hour.

Can an entire town disappear? According to some, that is exactly what happened in central Brazil in 1922. A town of over 600 residents disappeared off the face of the earth. Debanhi Escobar was an 18 year old law student living outside of Monterey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico when, on April 8, 2022, she decided to go out for a girl's night. However, something happened while Debanhi was enjoying the evening at a local club. Her personality changed and she became so disruptive that her friends had to call for a taxi to take her home. But Debanhi never makes it home. Instead, she jumps out of the taxi and begins to walk home on arguably the most dangerous stretch of road in the area. On April 21, Debanhi is found dead. Leslie Vaughn was one of San Antonio's most respected criminal defense attorneys. He had represented a wide range of individual, including some with some nefarious backgrounds. In fact, he had confided in trusted friends that he was concerned one former client in particular was looking to put a hit out on him. Randy Stair was a typical YouTube content creators, trying to make it big like so many other video producers throughout the world. However, his videos now stand as a reminder of how destructive an undiagnosed and untreated mental illness can be. The tale of the alien encounters at the Ariel School in Zimbabwe almost disappeared into the sands of time if not for one intrepid reporter and a Harvard professor/psychologist. Kathleen Limbscomb was found dead on the side of a country road outside of San Antonio, Texas, back in the summer of 1986. The Bender family out of Kansas may have been the first serial killers in United States history. Susan Smalley and Stacie Madison were the best of best friends who were determined to enjoy the last night of their last high school spring break in March 1988. They went to the mall, to a party, to see some friends, but the next morning hadn't returned home and were declared missing. Police believed the two girls were merely runaways, but the families passionately demanded a criminal investigation be open. Leigh Occhi was a teenager living in Tupelo, Mississippi, who went missing - in the middle of a hurricane. She was left home alone for less than an hour, but has never been seen since. Charles "Chuck" Morgan was a wealthy owner of a escrow agency in Tucson, Arizona in the 1970s. One day in 1977, Chuck went missing. Days later, he returned home in terrible shape. He recovered, but warned his wife never to tell the police or medical personnel about what he had been through or her life and the lives of their kids would be in danger.
Sadly, two months later, Chuck would going missing again, but would not be found alive. He was found shot in the back of the head in the Arizona desert. Two other men with connections to this case would also die under mysterious circumstances. Yet authorities in all three cases ruled the deaths suicides. An investigative reporter dug into the case and found lots of disturbing information that seems to make it clear Chuck did not commit suicide, but could have been killed by a number of mafia organizations, government organizations, and other groups in the world.

Asha Degree was a well-behaved, athletic, smart young girl living in Shelby, North Carolina. However, one morning she snuck out of her house before school, never to be seen again. The subsequent investigation determined she had been planning her escape for days, but no motive could be found. She was seen over a mile from her home walking down Highway 18 in the middle of a thunderstorm by at least two passing motorists. Some of her belongings were found in a shed behind a business. Mitrice was a young, educated, bubbly young woman from Los Angeles who excelled at everything she did. She was the first member of her family to go to and finish college. However, after graduation, signs of a mental illness began to show. She slowly became worse but refused to seek professional help. Everything came to a head the night she was arrested for being unable to pay her bill at an upscale Malibu restaurant.
Though she exhibited strange mannerisms and seemed to be generally confused, and though her mother warned the sheriff's office she had been behaving oddly, deputies released this young woman to the streets 40 miles from her home at midnight with no money, no car, and no cell phone. Her mother was not alerted until 5:30 am police refused to accept a missing persons report until that afternoon. Sadly, Mitrice was never seen alive again.
What caused the sheriff's office to release Mitrice at such an odd hour and with nothing more than her driver's license? Why did the sheriff's office hide evidence, alert reports and video records, and generally stonewall Mitrice's family from learning anything about her arrest. Why did law enforcement move her body over the objection of the coroner when she was finally found? And what cause Mitrice to meet her untimely death?
