Releasing the first podcast interview as part of our GC50 series with Shane Cassells!

Shane served as a Fianna Fáil TD for the Meath West constituency from 2016 to 2020 and has been a Senator in the Seanad since 2020. He is a BA in Journalism & Media Communications graduate and a Spokesperson on Media, Arts, Sport, Tourism and the Gaeltacht.

We chatted about the old Griffith College bar, how he got involved in politics during his first Freshers Week, the future of physical papers in traditional media, the impact of Evan Ferguson and the future of Irish sport. There may even be some Copper Face Jacks stories too!
