In the north of Mother Africa, desert rhythm meets metropolis roar, and Amine K is Morocco’s ambassador to the music. From the north of Africa comes a loud whisper. Rolling like an echo, a rumor of Amine K. A pulse on the dancefloor. A beach in Boracay, a sunrise in Black Rock City or a morning booth in Berlin. Legend says the prophecy predicted this. A Moroccan warrior, riding in on a camel unicorn. Decks and a mixer. Rhythm and a dancer. The desert has spoken.
Amine K’s progressive sounds, direct a journey, deep and united. It’s about fueling a connection on the dance floor with a melodic story and organic rhythm. While internationally moving bodies, Amine Akesbi doesn’t neglect his home: he’s been streamlining the new face of Morocco’s dance scene with the Moroko Loko concept since 2009. The music party brand, and driving dance force of the country has already found satellites in cities like Paris, London, Tokyo and Singapore.
Morocco’s latest cutting edge festival, ‘Oasis’, has too grabbed Amine K and dubbed him resident DJ. Next up is a series of Road to Oasis gigs, bringing your favorite electronic cities- a flavor of the desert.
Amine’s latest EPs include releases on Sol Selectas, Buddah Bar, Bar 25, Souvenir Music, Selador, Souvenir Music, and Be Crazy. Next up is releases on Akbal Music, Prometheus and many more.
2019 gears up to be a productive year for Amine, as Marrakech will find itself having a new professional studio hub, synthesized by the seasoned hands of the musician himself. New upcoming global tours and long awaited label releases are just a symptom of the work paid off.
It's really hard to describe what happened that day, after 40h of travelling, I finally got to El Sitio Venao, 30mn before my NYD sunrise set, the vibe was exquisite, full of love and excitement, the setting was one of the most beautiful thing in the world, I went all in, took them on a journey, and well... This set happened 😍 Playa Venao always delivers, it was a moment out of time and I'm honored and humbled to present it to you. Play loud, share it with love to the world and enjoy it to the fullest 😘
Hey there, it's been a while :) Just got back from a crazy tour and thought I'd share with you one of the sets! Reason why I picked this one is because it's from day to night, so it include many sides of my world, it's also a happy and eclectic set (which is much needed these days), it's only 3h (others were like 8+😂, and the vibe and setting that day were beyond magnificent. Oasis Festival has been the best way to close the summer for 5 years in a row 😍 Not only I usually do one of my best set of the year, but I also really give everything that I have to make my 🇲🇦 proud 😇 Well this 5th edition was for the books... A huge thanks to everybody who was there and made me cry in the middle of my set, I had so much fun 😘

Hey guys, here's the recording of my set at the 30th anniversary of the Institut Du Monde Arabe... It's a bit different than what I do usually, let's just say that it's a big room/ festival kind of set :) The production behind this gig was minblowing, a huge thanks to Arabic Sound System, Institut Du Monde Arabe, Romain Pissenem and my Moroko Loko team!
On a magical Thursday morning, the 31st of August 2017, I got invited to play at Bubbles & Bass camp @ Burning Man. The vibe, the set up and the atmosphere made this set quiet special, it's not techno, it's not new stuff but almost classics, sometimes it doesn't make sense and it's messy and sloppy but after all it was Burning Man and I got to play exactly what I felt was right for this particular moment :) Here's the raw recording of the set, hope you will sense the magic that was around at that moment. Hamza was the definition of a dj, always with a big smile on his face, an amazing capacity to share the love and a contagious joy of life! From being a promoter to a club manager to a dj to a friend, Hamza did so much for the Moroccan scene and we will always be thankful to him for that. He passed away on the 17th of october 2015 at the age of 41. May you rest in peace my friend, we will keep on your legacy. When words fail music speaks!
