Hola Amigaz, we are excited to introduce our first ever interviewee, Elizabeth V. Quiroz! Elizabeth is the epitome of AMIGAZ CON GANAS. At 15 years old Elizabeth found herself trapped in a Human Sex Trafficking ring, she was committing crimes, and was addicted to drugs until the age of 26. Now she is a mother, wife, and a student at Sonoma State University. Elizabeth shares her story of turning her life around and healing through motivational speaking and working to eradicate human tracking in Sonoma County.
In this episode, Sayra will share with Amigaz con Ganas her experience with Domestic Violence and how you can be an Amiga to someone who is in a DV relationship. Sayra was stuck in a DV relationship for 4 years. It took for her significant other at the time to almost killing her, for Sayra to realize that there wasn't going to be 'the next time' if she did take back to him. Today she brings light to those people who want to get out and just don't know-how. This is a sensitive topic, and we encourage you to pause at any moment.
