The Israelites were crossing over the Jordan and heading into the Promised Land. As a congregation, Wellspring is crossing over into a season of new promise under the Lord's leading. The key command: "Consecrate Yourselves." How do we get ready for what the Lord is about to do?
What happens when our faith runs into disappointment? How do we operate in the crucible of that season? How do we break through? Such times are inevitable to the walk of faith. Psalm 73 is a testimony of one believer's experience journey into and through such a season.

What does it look like to be salt and light in the current toxic and divided political environment in our country? As we read David's Psalm 139 we see that David was someone that knew that God knew everything about him. He also acknowledges that there was no place that he was able to hide from God. This message looks at why and how we can often try to hide from God. This message talks through the desire God has for us to live life in deeper connection with him.
Jesus calls his followers to take up our cross daily. What does that mean? What does it mean to die to self? How is that worked out in the life of the believer? And how does that relate to his call for us to be salt and light?

As Nehemiah completes the Wall, he turns to re-establishing the nation, the identity of the Israelites. We continue in the study of Nehemiah looking at chapter 8.
Nehemiah and the people of God found themselves running toward the impossible and God met them in a powerful way. However, there were many possible distractions that could have prevented them from accomplishing the immense task at hand. This message looks at some of the ways staying focused can bring breakthrough as we run toward the impossible and see God use us to build His Kingdom.
Chapter five of Nehemiah shifts the focus from the wall to serious issues that were threatening to tear the community of returned remnant apart. The wall needed to be rebuilt in order to protect the citizenry; but when a famine hits the land, the rich and powerful were taking advantage of their less well off kinsmen. We look at how Nehemiah addresses this crisis and how we can address the issues that threaten community in our context.
As we continue our study of Nehemiah, we find that he faced many difficulties even though he was doing what God asked him to do, even though the gracious hand of the Lord was upon him. In this message, we'll look at some of the ways Nehemiah faced those challenges. Together with the people, and together with the Lord, Nehemiah was able to succeed even in the face of difficulties. What lessons can we learn from him?

Jesus "turns the corner in the Beatitudes and begins to speak of the fruit of the operation of mercy in the lives of those who receive mercy from God. He calls us to keep the flow of mercy flowing from God to us, and through us to those who have hurt us or sinned against us.
The key to this beatitude is the understanding of what Jesus means by his use of the term "righteousness." The righteousness that Jesus speaks of is God's righteousness; i.e. fulfilling his promises to his people. This saving activity by God is what we long for and what makes us whole.
The third beatitude is just as puzzling on the surface as the firs two. How does Jesus define meekness, both in his reference to Psalm 37:11 and through his own life and ministry? What does it mean for his followers to walk and live in meekness? How does this lead to the inheritance of the earth being reclaimed?
What does Jesus mean by this seemingly incongruous statement? How does Jesus declaration proclaim good news? In looking at the prophetic background behind this beatitude and the fulfillment in Jesus' ministry and his passion and resurrection we see the comfort that Jesus came to bring from heaven. How can we position ourselves to receive this comfort?
