The Hunger Resource Network is an all-volunteer non-profit organization based in Northbrook dedicated to the alleviation of hunger. On Saturday, November 9th, 2013, HRN is sponsoring a Community Outreach Day during which 80,000 pounds of chicken will be distributed to over sixty area food pantries, homeless shelters and soup kitchens.

Agencies in the Fox Valley will receive over 20,000 lbs. of that donation, including organizations in Aurora, Batavia, St. Charles, Elgin, Yorkville, and Wheaton.
