DJ WOLF e. has an incredible array of musical styles under his belt and a love for many, though "A COMPLETE BALEARIC JOURNEY" is where his passion lies and it shows in the eloquence and production of each session. DJ WOLF e. takes you on a complete musical journey, much like climbing a mountain, beginning at the bottom, slowly ascending, reaching the peak and experiencing the total euphoria that naturally follows, then making a slow descent back to the base, to the bottom where the journey began and the party continues. An incredible asset to the EDM community and a dedicated producer of an extraordinary podcast featuring the beauty of Balearic HOUSE and Balearic TRANCE mixed and arranged by DJ WOLF e. He views himself as an artist or performer with his dancers’ being an audience. He believes in taking that "audience" on a journey, using sound and other forms of multimedia to elicit the highest and most intense of emotional responses. Possessing an innate ability to "feel" the music and sense the energy of his audience, DJ WOLF e. is quite literally able to alter the consciousness of his dancers. He feels this requires an extraordinary amount of effort, concentration and time; therefore it is not an easy feat to accomplish. Though when accomplished, DJ WOLF e. has created vivid tapestries of sound, emotion, and pure magic. DJ WOLF e. currently has a fan base that reaches nearly 80 countries; quite a large accomplishment for someone who's only been playing TRANCE since 2011. He has received numerous accolades from his fans, though one in particular stands out: "I didn't know TRANCE legends came from Holland, MI." Yes, they certainly do . . .
DJ WOLF e. knew instantly in 1986 when at the age of seventeen he had his first nightclub experience, and that he wanted a career as an artist. He began his career in San Francisco during the early 90's spinning alternative music at Cocktails - The Pit (a legendary South of Market nightclub) on Monday nights for "Krash Klub." After a ten year absence from performing, he was employed at The Dunes Resort in Douglas, MI. (2005 - 2007) as their lighting designer and technician. He has once again devoted his life to a dream and wish that began nearly thirty years ago. MUSIC is my life and my love; above all else, MUSIC is everything to me. MUSIC has in more ways than I can explain helped me to become exactly what and who I am. MUSIC has (more times than I can count) literally saved my life. MUSIC is and will always be there for me, often when no one or nothing else is or has been. MUSIC tells my story in much better ways than I ever could. - DJ WOLF e.

I strongly recommend listening to the Autumn Sessions 2019 (106 - 107 - 108) in order, allowing YOU to experience the complete journey and full emotional impact. I have never been one to play a four-hour set starting at 140 bpm and ending at the same tempo. I understand that many fans of TRANCE enjoy those epic sets, and they do have their rightful place, though I feel a true artist (in my opinion) is one who can combine many genres of music at varied bpm's thus taking control of his or her audience' emotions and creating a very special experience. In essence, it’s not the crowd that alters what DJ WOLF e. plays; it’s what DJ WOLF e. plays that alters the crowd. It isn't by any means "easy" to create twelve-hour sets, in fact, it is practically unheard of these days, there I have the utmost gratitude and kudos to the artists / DJ's who are capable of such journeys, for they are The Wizards who possess the true magic.

Pride [Twelve Inch Club Mix - DJ WOLF e.'s #STONEWALL50 Extended Re-Edit] - Johnna is now available on my SoundCloud page at http://soundcloud.com/dj-wolf-e; released in 1996 on PWL International (yes, that's right) as the fourth and final single off Johnna only album, also titled "Pride", this track was mixed by Motiv 8; quite obvious since it contains an unmistakable synth riff that appears in all his mixes. I began with adding a 96 beat intro and outro, making the track DJ friendly, rearranged the structure of the track using a cut and paste process in addition to looping, providing additional length for what was a rather short track and thus more energy. The final result, an uplifting NRG track perfect for Sunday Tea, peak hours indoors, and a fabulous anthem to the GLBTQ community. More so, this was the beginning of him educating me as to what he played during his rather illustrious thirty-five year career. Originally released in 1995, it was the Direct Hit Remix that I found to be exceptional, and therefore what I used for my re-edit. I began with adding a 96 beat intro and outro, making the track DJ friendly, rearranged the structure of the track using a cut and paste process in addition to looping, and overlayed vocal samples featured in the tracks' chorus. Unfortunately, the track was unavailable online, so when I found the Direct Hit Remix, I was, to say the least, overjoyed. Unlike my other extended re-edit of this track, which I post five years ago and contains vocal samples from "I Am (The Rising)", a re-working of the original by Taborah (Blackwood) released in 2005, this is my first extended re-edit. Quite simple in structure, mainly created with loops, cut and paste work, and my standard 96 beat intro and outro, making the track DJ friendly. Welcome to eterniTEA presents BLACK TEA VI - . . . dressed in black . . . - A Dark Blend - DJ WOLF e., this session of BLACK TEA is all about the tracks YOU would hear at the very beginning; late afternoon, with the SUN high overhead. WE gather like a tribe on one of the many beaches that dot the Chicago shoreline of Lake Michigan, to CELEBRATE the "official" end of SUMMER, the international party season, and the beginning of AUTUMN. WE dance around a huge bonfire, illuminating faces and bodies. WE are reenacting a pagan ritual through dance. WE move as ONE, circling the fire over & over. As the flames burn away what is PAST, WE are CREATING the future, WE are CREATING change, WE are CELEBRATING in BLACK . . . The music (of course) would be A Dark Blend of NEW WAVE, all in keeping with the theme of "Black Celebration" by Depeche Mode (1986) on which BLACK TEA is based. This is the sound that I played at "Krash Klub," a weekly Monday night event that took place at Cocktails / The Pit (long gone) in San Francisco, back in the early '90s. I was the resident DJ and desired to create what I'd experienced at the legendary Medusa's nightclub (also long gone) in Chicago. The producers and promoters eventually came to want a harder, more GOTHIC and INDUSTRIAL sound, which wasn't me. The name was changed to "Death Guild," and I was out of a job. It's music such as this, the music that was such an integral part of my youth, which might form the basis of my final series, long after A Complete Balearic Journey has come to an end. To begin where I did, seems in a roundabout way, the perfect way to complete what will have been decades of music . . .

Welcome to PHOENIX RISING presents BLACK & GOLD III - LABOR DAY WEEKEND - Chicago - DJ WOLF e., my ninth returning series of the year . . . ! Before I continue, please allow me to share with you with some necessary background information on this series and the incredibly profound effect this party and the DJ who played it had on me, forever changing who I am, what I am, and how I play music as an artist . . . BLACK & GOLD was a rather infamous event that took place in Chicago over Labor Day Weekend during the 1980s at The Loading Dock (now Cell Block). By Chicago standards, it was an "epic" party that many looked forward to until The Loading Dock's unfortunate demise in the early '90s. Each year, BLACK & GOLD featured a theme, complete with elaborate decor, transforming the rather dingy dance bar into an out of this world experience. It was certainly a sight to behold, if only for one night.
However, it was the music and one incredible DJ that ruled this party, that DJ being none other than the late and legendary Frank Lipomi (Dugan's Bistro, The Saint, Trianon, Coconuts & Rage) and the music: FREESTYLE, Hi-NRG, NEW WAVE, and HOUSE at its very best . . . ! DJ Frank Lipomi knew all too well how to work for the crowd with his masterful mixing, beginning slow and easy (6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.), he would build to a semi-peak and then go back down (8:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.); he'd continue on until reaching a frenzied peak (11:00 p.m. - 3:00 a.m., and come down to a beautiful & emotional close with MORNING MUSIC, (3:00 a.m. - 4:00 a.m.). Given the fact that BLACK & GOLD was a ten-hour party, he was able to take his audience on a musical journey, the first time I had ever heard a DJ play a set in this amazing way. Of course, the real dancers always arrived at the beginning, on the dancefloor all night, and stayed until the end. By my second BLACK & GOLD, I was one of them.
The Loading Dock was a small dance bar, the people either hated or loved; a leather disco from the seventies would be the best way to describe it, though for its time had a light show that always mesmerized me. Simple, yet so very effective, it consisted of two banks of sixteen pin spots on each end of the dancefloor. These were controlled by a primitive light show device, creating various chase patterns at various speeds, usually matching the beat of the music. Helicopters and other lighting effects covered the ceiling; in the middle hung a grouping of egg strobes. What would now be termed "wash" lights ran the length of the dancefloor and also had the ability to chase. A zig-zag of neon in electric blue, magenta, and purple ran from the dancefloor to the coat check area, the ceiling on which the neon was suspended was covered in foil to enhance its effect. Given all the cigarette smoke, the bar was a literal sea of light beams.

I think my favorite sunrises are the ones that I walked home in (taking the town car half way) after a long night of dancing at Amnesia or Space. It was during my early visits to THE MAGIC ISLAND, back when I could dance for twelve hours and most certainly did. Those were the nights . . . I would leave completely exhausted and with my feet oh so sore, yet the SUN adding to the love I was already feeling, softly humming the melodies of the previous night's music to myself. Special times those were, indeed. Of course, everything seems special the first time around . . .

Painkillr [Mike Cruz Tribal EDM Mix / DJLW Remix - DJ WOLF e.'s "PUSHING ME DEEPER" Extended Re-Edit] - Erika Jayne is now available on my SoundCloud page at http://soundcloud.com/dj-wolf-e; released in 2014, this was Erika Jayne's tenth single, and quite an incredible one at that, reaching number one on Billboard's Hot Dance Club Play chart. Erika Jayne has described the song by saying: "The idea came to me one night from a darker place. It was how I was feeling at the time. Obviously, with that type of material, it's not set very high in the register. So we set it low, made it yummy and sexy. The black and white music video shows Jayne in bed wearing a revealing bodysuit and heels. It was produced by Jayne herself and shot in half a day. "I had a photoshoot in the morning, and then shot it in the afternoon. That's how tight that video was," she told People magazine. The music video was directed by her long-time collaborator Mikey Minden, who described that the music video was intended to be "edgy, dark, gritty, in your face, provocative, super sexy, super-stylized, and very theatrical. In my opinion, the perfect description of Erika Jayne . . . I used the Mike Cruz Tribal EDM Mix as the base for my re-edit, adding a 96 beat intro and outro, making the track DJ friendly. The DJLW Remix was essential in creating vocal samples featured in the tracks' chorus. I rearranged the structure of the track using a cut and paste process in addition to looping. The final result, a sexy peak hour ELECTRONICA track with much more energy, clocking in at 128 beats per minutes and nearly nine minutes in length. Given that I enjoy Erika Jayne's work, more re-edits are on the way . . . !

I used "Twisted" [Original Mix] - Digital Players released in 2006, and "Useless Man" [The Grid Mix] - Minty featuring Leigh Bowery released in 1994, to create the track. I added a double 96 beat intro and outro with an overlay of the intro to "Useless Man", making the track DJ friendly. Vocal samples from the aforementioned track were looped and placed at strategic points on "Twisted", in essence, "mashing" the tracks together. The final result, 10 plus minutes of peak hour progressive HOUSE with a nasty vibe that a "select" audience will love . . .

I understand that many fans of TRANCE enjoy those epic sets, and they do have their rightful place, though I feel a true artist (in my opinion) is one who can combine many genres of music at varied bpm's thus taking control of his or her audience' emotions and creating a very special experience. In essence, it’s not the crowd that alters what DJ WOLF e. plays; it’s what DJ WOLF e. plays that alters the crowd. It isn't by any means "easy" to create twelve-hour sets, in fact, it is practically unheard of these days, there I have the utmost gratitude and kudos to the artists / DJ's who are capable of such journeys, for they are The Wizards who possess the true magic.

Hello Everyone:
Some People [Twelve Inch Extended Version - DJ Mark Vallese & DJ WOLF e.'s "SUNDAY MORNING at THE SAINT" Extended Re-Edit] - Cliff Richard is now available on my SoundCloud page at http://soundcloud.com/dj-wolf-e I first heard this track at The Loading Dock (Chicago) during my first "BLACK & GOLD" party; the year was 1986 and the late DJ Frank Lipomi closed with it. That magic moment was my introduction to MORNING MUSIC, though it took relocating to San Francisco years later and meeting a few special people who experienced TROCADERO TRANSFER for me to become fully educated in its genre and purpose. Fast forward to 2003 which found me back in Chicago and meeting The Legendary DJ Mark Vallese all because of two words, MORNING MUSIC that I just happened to have in a profile. Mark and I have been inseparable ever since and the mentoring he has provided, well . . . I learned from the very best. Mark Vallese used five copies of the Twelve Inch Extended Version to create the Re-Edit that Mark played live using two twelve inch vinyl copies. Basically, the tracks are overlayed, allowing for the vocals to be brought in and out before transiting into the full track. I added my standard DJ friendly 96 beats into and outro, looping the first eight beats. Since the track has a cold ending, the added outro allows for mixing if one chooses. The end result . . . an 11 plus minute masterpiece of a MORNING MUSIC classic . . . !

I strongly recommend listening to THE SUMMER SESSIONS 2018 93 (pt.1 - 91 pt.2 - 91 pt.3) in order, allowing YOU to experience the complete journey and full emotional impact. I have never been one to play a four-hour set starting at 140 bpm and ending at the same tempo. I understand that many fans of TRANCE enjoy those epic sets, and they do have their rightful place, though I feel a true artist (in my opinion) is one who can combine many genres of music at varied bpm's thus taking control of his or her audience' emotions and creating a very special experience. In essence, it’s not the crowd that alters what DJ WOLF e. plays; it’s what DJ WOLF e. plays that alter's the crowd. It isn't by any means "easy" to create twelve-hour sets, in fact, it is practically unheard of these days, there I have the utmost gratitude and kudos to the artists / DJ's who are capable of such journeys, for they are The Wizards who possess the true magic.

Welcome to PHOENIX RISING presents BLACK & GOLD II - LABOR DAY WEEKEND - Chicago - DJ WOLF e., my seventh returning series of the year . . . ! Again we travel back to The Loading Dock (now Cell Block) in Chicago and BLACK & GOLD, a rather infamous event that took place over Labor Day Weekend during the 1980's. Each year, BLACK & GOLD featured a theme, complete with elaborate decor, transforming the rather dingy dance bar into an "otherworldly" experience. However, it was the music and one incredible DJ that ruled this party, that DJ being none other than the late and legendary Frank Lipomi (Dugan's Bistro, The Saint, Trianon, Coconuts & Rage) and the music: FREESTYLE, Hi-NRG, NEW WAVE, and HOUSE at its very best . . . ! DJ Frank Lipomi knew all too well how to work the crowd with his masterful mixing, beginning slow and easy, he would build to a semi-peak and then go back down, he'd continue on until reaching a frenzied peak, and coming down to a beautiful & emotional close with MORNING MUSIC at 4:00 a.m.
BLACK & GOLD was a magical experience and one to this very day continues to have a profound effect on me. I have used those two words a lot in writing the introduction to this series, though I can't think of any other that truly convey my feelings. DJ Frank Lipomi not only changed the way I play music but my understanding of what and how I play music. It was his music that taught me what a journey is, and it was him who provided my very first taste of MORNING MUSIC. I remember Frank inviting me to "a party like no other" as he said. Telling me there was a nightclub in New York City that was beyond anything I'd ever see. That invitation was for The Closing Party at The Saint. All I could think was that he wouldn't be at The Loading Dock that weekend; what would I do. He smiled and said, "You're not ready yet, you will be someday." Well, Frank, that "someday" is now, and thanks to you, I am ready . . . Thank you, for changing my life.

I strongly recommend listening to THE SUMMER SESSIONS 2018 91 (pt.1 - 91 pt.2 - 91 pt.3) in order, allowing YOU to experience the complete journey and full emotional impact. I have never been one to play a four-hour set starting at 140 bpm and ending at the same tempo. I understand that many fans of TRANCE enjoy those epic sets, and they do have their rightful place, though I feel a true artist (in my opinion) is one who can combine many genres of music at varied bpm's thus taking control of his or her audience' emotions and creating a very special experience. In essence, it’s not the crowd that alters what DJ WOLF e. plays; it’s what DJ WOLF e. plays that alter's the crowd. It isn't by any means "easy" to create twelve-hour sets, in fact, it is practically unheard of these days, there I have the utmost gratitude and kudos to the artists / DJ's who are capable of such journeys, for they are The Wizards who possess the true magic.

Welcome to PHOENIX RISING presents deep in the Summer - IBIZA - morning music - DJ WOLF e., my first new series of the year and an absolute "must" for a SUMMER spent on THE MAGIC ISLAND. The inaugural episode of deep in the Summer features HOUSE, beach HOUSE, Balearic HOUSE and Balearic TRANCE, all in a journey that captures the "feel & sound" of SUNRISE on IBIZA. There is something about being up all night at the clubs and leaving completely exhausted; the first rays of the rising SUN just beginning to peek over the horizon. Watching the SUNRISE, especially in the SUMMER when they tend to be the most vibrant, provided me with a feeling that everything was going to be just fine and the day was going to be a good one. This episode of deep in the Summer was intended to be my entry into the legendary "Dancing til' Dawn" CD series that feature MORNING MUSIC. If my manager DJ Mark Vallese ever gets around to mixing "Dancing til' Dawn" - Chicago - morning music - Volume 6, hopefully, mine will follow. Of note, each subsequent session of PHOENIX RISING presents deep in the Summer - IBIZA - morning music - DJ WOLF e. will be featuring different genres of music that fit into the "MORNING MUSIC" category, such as CHILL, Balearic Beat, classic MORNING MUSIC of the 80's and 90's (what YOU would have heard at Ku) and SLEAZE from the late 70's. Remember, IBIZA nights are better . . . but IBIZA mornings are magic. Join me on this special excursion as WE travel . . . deep in the Summer, through a glorious SUNRISE on THE MAGIC ISLAND, into the early morning hours and towards a new beginning. Keep an open mind, because I have a feeling that YOU are going to love this series . . . !

I feel that each season has its own unique sound, a sub-genre that provides an aural feel of what our other senses experience.
Its 12:00 a.m. Midnight on a July night, feeling reborn and part of THE MAGIC ISLAND again (after so much time away), WE leave Sant Antoni, THE BEACH, SUNSET, and Café del Mar behind. WE take the town car, a magnum of Champs to enjoy along the and drive to OUR next destination, THE TERRACE at Amnesia, legendary and the second largest nightclub on the island now that Space is sadly no longer with US; at least not in its original incarnation where WE shared so many nights and days dancing, OUR small circle of friends . . . TOGETHER. It's still quite early by IBIZA clubbing standards, though Amnesia is at capacity, overflowing with the BEAUTIFUL & bizarre. There is no waiting in a long and tedious line for US (a priority pass is a must); within minutes WE are inside the club and headed to OUR reserved V.I.P. banquette where a perfectly chilled Champers is waiting for US, and then it's out and onto the dancefloor where OUR night truly begins to take shape. THE TERRACE is such a unique & special part of Amnesia, six hours of dancing outdoors (the night breeze off the MEDITERRANEAN SEA refreshing OUR glistening bodies) to some of the hottest sounds on THE MAGIC ISLAND. This is what WE came for and exactly what WE are getting . . . ! THE TERRACE at Amnesia is the perfect place for OUR first night on IBIZA. WE are home again, LIVING THE DREAM and there is nothing better on this planet . . . ! deep HOUSE, TECHNO, Nu DISCO, HOUSE, Balearic HOUSE, Balearic TRIBAL, future HOUSE, progressive HOUSE, progressive TRANCE, tech HOUSE and Balearic TRANCE create the perfect backdrop as WE dance until SUNRISE . . .

Welcome to A Complete Balearic Journey - Session 91 - Pt.1 - THE BEACH: sunset - Café del Mar - Summer 2018 - DJ WOLF e., the first in a series of all-new adventures taking YOU (the listener) on a voyage through the seasons and sound. I feel that each season has its own unique sound, a sub-genre that provides an aural feel of what our other senses experience.
It's 6:00 p.m. on a July evening, WE arrived on IBIZA a few hours ago & headed to OUR (once rented now owned) villa perched high on a hillside sparkling white in the MEDITERRANEAN SUN. After taking long refreshing showers to wash off all those long hours of traveling, WE carefully choose the perfect white linens, open a bottle of Champs and toast to another SUMMER spent on THE MAGIC ISLAND. Heading out, WE take the town car (the roads on IBIZA can be notoriously dangerous) and drive towards Sant Antoni, THE BEACH, and Café del Mar. There simply is no other place on THE MAGIC ISLAND that offers a better start to an evening out than this legendary destination. WE order something light from their menu of MEDITERRANEAN delicacies, a sampler of gorgeous hors-d'oeuvres, the very best Champs (of course) and find the perfect table for one special reason, the best spot on IBIZA (albeit the entire planet) to watch the most spectacular SUNSET that could ever be seen. Now, this is no ordinary SUNSET it's one that must be seen to be believed, to be understood as to exactly why it is so very unique and sacred. It's what WE do, and no pilgrimage to IBIZA would be complete without this well-seasoned ritual. Vivid red, pink, orange, purple & gold paint the sky reflecting on the water as if were composed of those very colors magically turned into liquid. WE are home again on THE MAGIC ISLAND, WE are LIVING THE DREAM and this is just the very beginning . . . CHILL, Nu DISCO, deep HOUSE, HOUSE, ELECTRONICA, Balearic HOUSE, indie DANCE, Balearic TRIBAL, tech HOUSE, progressive HOUSE, TECHNO, future HOUSE and Balearic TRANCE create the perfect backdrop as the SUN burns into the sea.

Sweet Freedom [Direct Hit Remix - DJ WOLF e.'s Extended Re-Edit] - Shawn Christopher is now available on my SoundCloud page at http://soundcloud.com/dj-wolf-e "Sweet Freedom" by Michael McDonald was originally released in 1986 as the theme from the film "Running Scared" and became an instant POP classic, a song that practically everyone has heard; with patriotic lyrics and a catchy sound it's not easily forgettable. Shawn Christopher released a cover version in 1997 with a few mixes in the genre of HOUSE. Her vocals gave the track a deeper a more spiritual meaning, though I don't recall ever hearing the track at a club. Direct Hit eventually remixed the track which is the version that I used for my re-edit. I added my standard 96 beat intro and outro making the track DJ friendly and some cut and paste work to rearrange the structure; looping provided more emphasis on a few key verses along with added length. The end result, clocking in at 125 beats per minute and a little over 8:30 plus minutes in length is a VERY danceable HOUSE track that is PERFECT for SUMMER TEA . . . ! This track is a slightly different version than the one appears on eterniTEA presents: FREEDOM TEA III - ". . . the rocket's red glare . . ." - A House Blend - DELUXE EDITION - Pt. II - DJ WOLF e.

Interestingly enough, this track isn't listed on Discogs, YouTube or any internet search; quite a shame since whoever produced this incredible piece of work deserves the credit. I used the Original Mix and began by adding my standard 96 beat intro and outro making the track DJ friendly. I used phased vocal samples with the delay over the chorus' and looping to give the track a bit more energy. The end result, clocking in at 131 beats per minute and a little over 7:30 minutes in length is a VERY danceable HOUSE track that is PERFECT for SUMMER TEA . . . ! JUST re:FINE my fire - DJ WOLF e. vs. Mary J. Blige vs. Dan Hartman featuring Loleatta Holloway is now available on my SoundCloud page at http://soundcloud.com/dj-wolf-e "Relight My Fire 2007" - Dan Hartman featuring Loleatta Holloway is an outstanding remix by Almighty Records of the timeless DISCO classic originally released in 1979 (yep, nearly 40 years ago). This remix (what could technically be termed a remake of the classic) also served as proof that Almighty was capable of much more than their trademark NRG as it was 100% HOUSE. "Just Fine" - Mary J. Blige was originally released in 2007, though it wasn't until the following year that Geffen Records decided to officially release a remix. Unfortunately, "Just Fine" never quite achieved the club play success of "Be Without You", a groundbreaking hit for Mary two years previously, though has remained a personal favorite of mine. I used the Almighty Dub of "Relight My Fire 2007" and the Moto Blanco Club Mix of "Just Fine" which, interestingly enough samples the instrumentation of "Relight My Fire" to create the mashup. I began by adding my standard 96 beat intro and outro making the track DJ friendly and some major cut and paste work which completely rearranged the structure of "Relight My Fire", cutting nearly two minutes off its original length of 11:30. Inserting "Just Fine" wasn't that difficult considering the sameness of the two tracks; looping provided for the perfect entry and exit points. The end result, clocking in at 126 beats per minute and a little over 10:00 plus minutes in length is a VERY danceable HOUSE track that is simply perfect for those SUMMER dancefloors or even Tea for that matter. I strongly recommend listening to the Spring Sessions 2018 (88 - 89 - 90) in order, allowing YOU to experience the complete journey and full emotional impact. I have never been one to play a four-hour set starting at 140 bpm and ending at the same tempo. I understand that many fans of TRANCE enjoy those epic sets, and they do have their rightful place, though I feel a true artist (in my opinion) is one who can combine many genres of music at varied bpm's thus taking control of his or her audience' emotions and creating a very special experience. In essence, it’s not the crowd that alters what DJ WOLF e. plays; it’s what DJ WOLF e. plays that alter's the crowd. It isn't by any means "easy" to create twelve-hour sets, in fact, it is practically unheard of these days, there I have the utmost gratitude and kudos to the artists / DJ's who are capable of such journeys, for they are The Wizards who possess the true magic.

Infectious DARKNESS - DJ WOLF e. vs. Kings Of Addiction vs. David Penn & Rober Gaez is now available on my SoundCloud page at http://soundcloud.com/dj-wolf-e Released in 2018, "Infectious" by Kings Of Addiction is an outstanding progressive HOUSE track that just happens to sound surprisingly similar to "Our Darkness" - Anne Clark the INDUSTRIAL / NEW WAVE classic from all the way back in 1984 (yep, nearly 35 years ago) and one of my all-time personal favorites. Fast forward to 2009 when David Penn & Rober Gaez released what could technically be termed a remake of the classic, albeit with a current HOUSE sound. I used the Original Mixes of both tracks as a base to create what I feel is (to date) my best effort at re-editing. I began by adding my standard 96 beat intro and outro making the track DJ friendly and some major cut and paste work which completely rearranged the structure of the original mixes. I added vocal samples by Anne Clark (who strangely enough was not created on "Our Darkness" - David Penn & Rober Gaez) throughout the track, providing more of a dark feel and also in keeping with the original INDUSTRIAL / NEW WAVE version. This was most certainly the toughest Mash Up I have worked on, considering the difference in volume levels between the two tracks. The end result, clocking in at 128 beats per minute and 8:55 in length is a dark yet very danceable progressive HOUSE track that is simply perfect for those late night hours on any dancefloor. "How Many Fucks" was the eleventh single in a string of nonstop dance club hits for Erika Jayne; as an artist known for breaking all the rules, this track is definitely her most explicit. Erika Jayne (the naughty alter ego of Mrs. Erika Girardi) joined the cast of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" in its sixth season. She recently released a tell-all memoir with Brian Moylan, "Pretty Mess", with color photos and personal stories. "I hope my intimate story can inspire readers to become their own strong, confident and vibrant pretty messes", she said in the book's press release. I used the RNG Remix as a base to create what I feel is (to date) one of my best efforts at re-editing. I began by adding my standard 96 beat intro and outro making the track DJ friendly and some major cut and paste which completely rearranged the structure of the original remix. I added vocal samples throughout the track, providing more energy and bringing it to the final length of 7 minutes and 54 seconds. The end result, a fun albeit a dirty piece of ELECTRONICA that is simply perfect for evening / late night hours even with its low tempo of 123 beats per minute. The clever name (read between the lines) is so Erika Jayne and perfectly appropriate. "So Eivissa" originally appeared on "Relax - Edition Seven" & was Blank & Jones creative take on "Features Of Love" - Mike Francis which it sampled. From the moment I heard this track, I knew that it was special enough to deserve a "SUNDAY MORNING at THE SAINT" re-edit. Updated for today's generation in the genre of ELECTRONICA, this track is much the same as my previous work, "Survivor" [Satin Jackets Dub Mix & Satin Jackets Remix] - Mike Francis and just as beautiful. It's quite obvious this "sound" has, in many ways, become the new MORNING MUSIC. I added a 96 beat intro & outro making the track DJ friendly, did some clever rearranging of the track structure and a bit of cut and paste work to give the track additional length. The end result . . . PURE MAGIC!

Welcome to PHOENIX RISING presents nightbreed seven - JACOB'S LADDER - DJ WOLF e., the seventh chapter in an extra special extended four-hour journey. Six years ago WE approached The Gate and began THE DESCENT that led US down into the underworld. WE traveled deeper through the all-consuming darkness to a place where the light of day never shone. WE encountered something beyond the bizarre and mysterious creatures that are nightbreed. WE came face to face with an entity without a soul, something . . . INSIDIOUS ! ! ! That entity lead US into THE FURTHER, a world far beyond OUR own, yet one that is all around US. A place without time as WE know it, THE FURTHER is a dark realm filled with the tortured souls of the dead, a place not meant for the living, a world that is everywhere and nowhere, a world where all time is one. OUR journey continued through a labyrinth of tunnels that seemed to spiral infinitely downwards; we passed enclaves where hideous creatures mutated by an eternity of lifetimes spent in the darkness had taken up residence. Banished from the upper levels, The Berserkers, a monstrous, feral breed that was imprisoned due to their insanity. WE entered THE CHAMBER of PROMETHEUS, The God of Fire & passed his judgment, granting US access to THE TEMPLE of BAPHOMET, the supreme deity of nightbreed; inhabited by what OUR human consciousness could only perceive as THE DEVIL. WE engaged in vile and unspeakable acts in order to gain safe passage to the surface, though little did WE know that deceit is incarnate in THE DEVIL, and the last words HE spoke were just that: "YOU are sinners to the entity of light." HE laughs, "Sin, a childish attempt by humans to extinguish thoughts & acts of pleasure; and yet the righteous say YOU MUST BE CERTAIN OF THE DEVIL . . . !" "Go, humans, leave THE TEMPLE of BAPHOMET, they will not harm YOU, for I am their deity." "YOUR adventures have just begun, along with YOUR journey to the surface. “YOUR LIVES ARE FOREVER CHANGED, YOUR BELIEFS ALTERED & I . . . I WILL BE WAITING . . . ALWAYS." "Follow the SIgNS, for they will lead YOU to the land of the living from which YOU came, do not ignore them as they are symbols created long before the dawn of time." It wasn't long after WE left THE TEMPLE of BAPHOMET that my companions became ill . . . None of this made any sense, as THE DEVIL has granted US safe passage. There was nothing left but to continue as WE walked on in silence. It wasn't long before we came upon another symbol of intricate design, interwoven triangles which appeared to be a puzzle of sorts needing to be rearranged. Though none of US dared to touch it. The SIgNS may lead the way out, or kill US long before WE ever see the Sun.
This journey is far from the BALEARIC trips that my name has become synonymous with; therefore, it will not be to everyone's liking. However, it is with music such as this that I began my career so many years ago in San Francisco at Krash Klub / Death Guild. The track was remixed and released unofficially as a white label in 2005, though it wasn't until 2013 (nearly twenty-five years) later, that this rare version appeared. From my first listen, I felt the need to create a re-edit; my standard double 96 beat intro and outro, cut & paste work, loops and vocal overlays, I give you Luv U More 2013 [Journeys By DJs Dub / Journeys By DJs Vocal Mix - DJ WOLF e.'s "A NIGHT in THE PIT" Extended Re-Edit] - Sunscreem. I don't remember re-editing this track, which means it's definitely one from the vault (considering that it doesn't have my standard 96 beat intro & outro) and more than likely something I did long before The Official DJ WOLF e. Fan Page began. "Evergreen" (a cover of the Barbra Streisand classic from the film "A Star Is Born") was originally released in 2006 on Almighty Records and then remastered and released again this year. Obviously, I used loops, in addition, to cut & paste work with the end result being a fun NRG track remade for today's dancefloor. Clocking in at 132 beats per minute and nearly 10 minutes in length, this track makes for the perfect addition to a Tea Dance set, of which it garnered a fantastic dancefloor response when a friend played it earlier this Summer at a Tea Dance in New York City, New York USA.

Welcome to PHOENIX RISING presents BLACK & GOLD - LABOR DAY WEEKEND - Chicago - DJ WOLF e., my fifth and final new series of the year. Before I continue, please allow me to share with you with some necessary background information on this series and the incredibly profound effect this party and the DJ who played it had on me, forever changing who & what I am . . . BLACK & GOLD was a rather infamous event that took place in Chicago over Labor Day Weekend during the 1980's at The Loading Dock (now Cell Block). By Chicago standards it was an "epic" party that many looked forward to until The Loading Dock's unfortunate demise in the early 90's. Each year, BLACK & GOLD featured a theme, complete with elaborate décor, transforming the rather dingy dance bar into an "otherworldly" experience. However, it was the music and one incredible DJ that ruled this party, that DJ being none other than the late and legendary Frank Lipomi (Dugan's Bistro, The Saint, Trianon, Coconuts & Rage) and the music: Hi-NRG at its very best!

I strongly recommend listening to the Spring Sessions (76 : 77 : 78) in order, allowing YOU to experience the complete journey and full emotional impact. I have never been one to play a four set starting at 140 bpm and ending at the same tempo. I understand that many fans of TRANCE enjoy those epic sets, and they do have their rightful place, though I feel a true artist is one who can manipulate his or hers audience emotions and create a very special magic. Kudos to the artists / DJ's who are capable of such journeys, for they are The Wizards who possess the true magic.

Welcome to eterniTEA presents BLACK TEA - . . . celebration . . . - A Dark Blend - DJ WOLF e., the fourth installment of the Summer "Sunday Tea" series. Going back to the Summer of 2006 when I was I developing concepts for this series, I felt that a "Sunday Tea" which celebrated the "official" end of Summer & the international party season; the beginning of Autumn & the "dark" times to come, would be a perfect complement to the others that I had released as mixed CD's. My vision for BLACK TEA - A Dark Blend - DJ WOLF e. was a full scale event on the last Sunday before the beginning of Autumn in September on one of the many beaches that dot the Chicago shoreline of Lake Michigan. Hundreds would gather dressed in black, leather, and all sorts of fetish gear. I prefer to think of BLACK TEA as the "dark yet danceable" cousin of nightbreed & TWISTED, not as hard nor dirty as the previous; the word "ritualistic" comes to mind. The music (of course) would be A Dark Blend, featuring (in this session) NEW WAVE, progressive HOUSE, HOUSE, & NRG all in keeping with the theme of "Black Celebration" by Depeche Mode (1986) on which BLACK TEA is based. I have decided to remake both BLACK TEA & BLACK TEA II now that Sound Cloud has lessened its copyright restrictions; therefore YOU will be getting the first & second with the original tracks!
