Le Chu Malkovich, Venezuelan DJ, currently based in Quito, Ecuador. She is part of Twisted Minds, NoGame Crew and Router Music collectives, as well as being responsible for the We Are Play Music Podcasts.
During her 11 years in the music industry, she has played in several cities including New York, Barcelona, Berlin, as well as in several cities of Ecuador and Venezuela.
She has recently played at parties and festivals around Ecuador. Le Chu is also known for playing a Solid House with minimal and techno influences. Her passion for sharing and communicating through music guarantees a good party that will make you dance until the end.

Born in Lima, Peru and based in Los Angeles, CA, Kike Mayor is one of the brightest names out of the South American underground music scene, playing a pivotal role in Peru's electronic music development for over a decade.
After Releases on labels like Drumma, BodyParts, Tzinah, Little Helpers and his own imprint, Saint & Don't Music, Kike started touring on a regular basis, playing all over the US, Canada, Mexico, South America and Europe.

Saybe, Born and raised in San Pedro Sula, Honduras. He has become the latest impact of the electronic underground scene in his country. His musical career begins in 2016 when he connects with the genre of House, characterized for maintaining a sophisticated line of minimalistic & deep sounds perfectly balanced with a mixture of groovy beats that gets you addicted. Aleksandr Lukashevich aka Lucarelli was born and grew up in Minsk, Republic of Belarus. It is not a case where a person grew up in a musical family or something like that. Even the first steps in DJing he did quite late when he was 27 years old. However, music is always of particular importance to Lucarelli. It all started with small bars and a commercial deep house.But very quickly, Lucarelli found the style that completely devoured him. At that moment when he first heard the hypnotic sounds of minimal music something turned upside down in his soul and he gave up in this pleasant captivity and no longer imagines another tandem. Year after year, the skills were getting better and the musical taste was more perfect. Naomi Rowe (known as NAOMI) is a Los Angeles based up and coming female DJ. She’s always had a strong connection to electronic music. Growing up in a musical house hold, music was always Naomi’s best friend. Her father was a musician who exposed her to techno & trance and always encouraged her to follow in his foot steps. Naomi started collecting records and CD’s at a very young age. Once she was old enough to discover herself and her style, she started going to different underground events in Los Angeles like Incognito, Midnight Lovers, Dialogue & Lights Down Low to name a few. All of these events would eventually influence her to resonate with breaky, melodic, minimal beats. Her career has given her the opportunity to play at some of LA’s finest underground events. She gained most of her inspiration & connections through her former employment with Dialogue LA where she specialized in artist hospitality and logistics. Naomi is known for her ability to feel out the crowd & play a wide range of spacey glitchy sounds. Her open format style of DJ-ing makes it impossible to label her style. “Play whatever your heart is telling you, don’t limit yourself to any style or genre”.

Sevi is predominantly a DJ and upcoming producer of Armenian descent, currently residing in the city of Los Angeles. Notorious for layering samples throughout his sets, and hence a distinctive sound, he has an affinity for blurring the lines between organic and synthetic instruments to move a crowd. A true proponent of the dance floor, his various residencies have led him to perform alongside such artists as Robag Wruhme, Mathias Kaden, Chad Andrew, Uner, Radio Slave, DJ Three, DoubtingThomas and many more.
In 2017 he formed "Magick 11", a partnership and music imprint together with good friend, George Morales. Magick 11 represents new beginnings based on a foundation which has been years in the making. When producing or performing together, the duo combine their technical, musical and cultural backgrounds to offer spontaneous live sets and original productions. While also curating events and furthering the new imprint, he remains relentlessly dedicated to the pursuit of music and his craft.

Luca Sassi (aka Mr Stones) is an Italian dj from Sassuolo based in Los Angeles. He first approached music at the age of 13 when he started playing drums and joined a rock/crossover band a year later. At the age of 15 he started playing with his band in “occupied/squat social centres” where he had also the first tastes of Techno and Acid House. Shortly after he bought his first mixer and turntables and started practicing with friends. His first gig happened at the age of 16 with the name “Luca S”, under that name he played in local clubs for a few years. At the age of 21 his second and still going name “Mr Stones” brought him also on the housy/disco-ish side of music. His music varies from nu disco to house and minimal, most of the time playing vinyl (he’s an old fashion vinyl lover). He played in cities such as Milan (Club Haus 80’s), Madonna di Campiglio (Cliffhanger Club, 54 Café), Modena (Scuderie Club, La Crepa, Tube Club) and more recently Miami (Segafredo Cafè, The Electric Pickle), Washington DC (Flash), Mexico (Deck22 in Tijuana and Groove in Mexicali) and Los Angeles (Pattern Bar, Clinic Wednesdays, Sunday Sanctuary, Temple Tuesday, Purple33).

Kirill Kalashnikov aka Wyro started making beats back in distant 1999 while he was living in siberian city Surgut. Enzo Muro (Electronic Groove/Dialogue/B.LØW) Enzo Muro's first taste of electronic music began during the late 90's back in Peru. As an avid partygoer and music enthusiast, Enzo had the privilege to see many of the greats, including Steve Lawer, Peace Division, Carl Cox, Sasha, Pete Tong, Adam Freeland, Deep Dish, Hernan Cattaneo, DJ Three, H-Foundation, etc... spinning their hearts out in Lima. Good sets and good times instilled in him the passion to play music of his own... Since arriving in LA in 2004, he has been dropping records around LA, Mexico & Peru. As the California liaison for Bamboocha Radio out of Lima, Peru, Enzo has hosted many local djs and special guests in his bedroom studio in recent years. This has been a great opportunity for Enzo to hang out with basically all the djs in the industry on a level outside of the party scene–some tight bonds have derived from these personal encounters. Now, having joined the zealous Electronic Groove team based out of Miami, Enzo has connected a strong link between the U.S. bicoastal network. It’s the perfect match for both parties. Equity is a beautiful thing. The amount of music that Enzo has been exposed to, on his radio show, live streaming or out and about at every show in LA, gives him a broad and tasteful style of music when he djs. One has to step out of the box to acquire such a taste in music. Enzo has played at Lightning in a Bottle and Desert Hearts, Burning Man a few years; and has opened for djs such as Barac, Bill Patrick, tINI, Sepp & Nu Zau, Hernan Cattaneo, Rampue, Frank & Tony, Mira, Behrouz, Nick Warren, Daniel Bortz, Guy J, to name a few. Enzo is also a resident of Dialogue, one of the most prestigious underground parties in LA, alongside with Halo Varga, Silky & MD; and a fixture at Pattern Bar, a popular dimly lit cocktail lounge in DTLA where now throws a monthly party with Electronic Groove called B.LØW.

In a very early age he was getting more and more interested in electronic music. The first mixes are from the year 2003. His parents wanted him to be a musician, for his father is a musician and a music teacher. He went to music school, and played drums, but in 2007 gave it up, and decided to be a DJ. He played music at smaller parties, and his friends liked his music. One year later he got the chance to play at some music festivals. In 2009 everything changed. Ochu LaRoss got the opportunity to play at the biggest music festival of Vojvodina as a beginner DJ at the Underground Arena. He got a lot of attention after that and started having more gigs. After one month he joined the Highlight Radio, where ever since then his mixes are being played weekly. That year he was also heard on Globalparty Radio, Budapest and some other internet radios. Sometimes on private parties he would play up to 8-10 hours. In 2010 the live shows continued, and he starts to make his own tracks. He joined the Strong and Deep organization, which organizes parties like the Summer Pulse Festival. By their help, he got to play at the biggest East European music festival, the Exit. Ochu Laross likes the weird, dark music, and the after parties.

Those who know Erik Vehmeyer, Orange County native and Like.Minded regular, often refer to him as a bit of a jack of all trades. Whether he spends his weekends rock climbing in Joshua Tree, diving into the LA underground, or curating renegade desert parties, he is driven to push his love for music to the outreaches of society. Still a very new selector to the scene, Erik learned to mix with just two turntables and a crate of 90s house and breakbeat records in the spring of 2016. While he currently has begun to pull from both digital and analog formats, the (Tangible) tag is used to mark his vinyl-only sets. Fedotov, from Warsaw in Poland, is considered one of the most unusual polish producers of minimal electronic music today. Actively issued on interesting labels and fruitfully is working on new projects. Specific musical looks and creative approach to the favorite music directions – house and techno. In 2015 the Polish artist was discovered by the Vandalism Musique owner – Dubphone, after his huge release “Julia” on Conceptual, his amazing producing skills, hypnotic sounds combined with piano variations brought him to our attention. In 2017, Fedotov released his first album “ORNAMENT” on the Spanish underground label Vandalism Musique. Album “ORNAMENT” includes seven original tracks and a re-interpretation from the Romanian artist of Dinsubsol concept – VPR. Fedotov also released in collaboration with interesting labels as Wavetech Imprint, Dushe Label, My First Love Limited.

Subvision, a deep house duo consisting of Steven Rodriguez and Anthony Carlos, was formed in 2012. Growing up in the suburbs of Los Angeles, not many people shared Steven and Anthony's love for underground house music. It was at a young age that Steven and Anthony found inspiration from the early pioneers - Kerri Chandler, Masters At Work, and Todd Terry. In their early teens, they started DJing as Stefano Rich and Stro respectively. With their shared passion for digging for records and DJing, they soon decided to collaborate and combine their sound. Friend-turned-mentor, Alix Alvarez, a prominent DJ from New York who was then living in L.A., helped Subvision take their production and style to the next level. For the last three years, Subvision has been in the studio working on production and playing gigs at In:volve parties, Avalon, Focus, Exchange, Spirit House, Sweet LA, Couture, Kontact and The Well to name a few. Forged by the spirit of the San Francisco underground, Thomas Linardos began collecting techno and house records in 2009. A frequent customer of Metavinyl in Santa Cruz, he was eventually forced by the store owner to buy a pair of Technics and the rest is history. Mentored by the legendary Bob 5, Thomas spent his formative years learning the ins and outs of vinyl mixing. In 2013 he moved to the garden island of Kauai and started an ambitious radio show, titled "Set it Off" on KKCR in addition to joining MuTribe Kauai as a resident DJ for their unforgettable full moon beach parties. Set it Off broadcast every Friday night from 10 PM to 2 AM, and featured live vinyl mixes from underground DJs both from Hawaii and around the world. DJs include JMeans, Gnork, Luv Jam, Ryan Shaw, Ethan Miller, Jeniluv and many others. After returning to California in 2016, Thomas set upon unleashing his newly refined talents across the darkest depths of the California music scene. Known for both his versatility and unrelenting nature, Thomas Linardos' sets are both wide spanning yet impressive in their depth and his passion to take vinyl to its limits sets him apart from the rest.

Paulo is a part of Clique: a movement born from the collective effort of a group that shares the same passion and spiritual connection with art and music. It's a project geared to promote the evolution of sound and visual aesthetics, providing a unique experience that stimulates the mind and the soul. Paulo is also Artifact Record Shop's Co-Owner and Marketing director. This is a new online House and Techno boutique dedicated to vinyl only imprints and releases. Michael Scalar is a veteran DJ and producer with over 15 years of experience in the electronic music scene. He has earned a reputation for being both a talented DJ and producer, playing at a wide variety of clubs and festivals around the globe. Michael Scalar is a resident DJ in the Las Vegas house and techno scene who has earned respect for his skills and unfaltering love of proper underground sounds.
Amanda Marks, also known as Violin Girl, is a professional electric violinist, vocalist, and recording artist who has graced the stages of music festivals, clubs, and venues nationally and overseas. She takes tracks, often being mixed live by DJs, and improvises over them on the electric violin, thus creating a unique sound synthesis of electronic music and live instrumentation. Amanda's performance experience runs the gamut from transformational festivals like Lucidity, Northern Nights and Burning Man. She has also performed at Envision Festival in Costa Rica, Sugarfactory in Amsterdam, and held residencies at Drai's Beach Club in Las Vegas and Eden at Spin Nightclub in San Diego. Her first official release comes as a featuring in Deep Tribe's remix of Freddy Be's "Holding Back," which is out now on the Perspectives Digital label and supported by the likes of Darin Epsilon, Soul Button, Matt Darey, Maya Jane Coles, Djuma Soundsystem, Oliver Schories and more. Just as light is born out of darkness, LUNA’s life has humbled her into following her heart in the arts initiating a voyage that will lead her to her own light. Growing up with the classic sounds of the 70’s and 80’s top hits intertwined with her musical finds within the metal and hardcore genres, LUNA steered into a world of negativity after exposing herself to the sounds of these particular genres. After many life experiences, she decided to seek her light and discovered the darker sounds of techno. LUNA dove deep into learning all that she could which lead her into earning a spot in two different collectives in San Diego. At this point she started her duo, ALICE, with KARMA. She became one of the four core members of DIVINITY, a dark techno collective from San Diego who have booked artists such as Halo Varga, David Scuba, Noël Jackson, Carlo Lio and many more. Furthermore, LUNA earned her first weekly residency in November of 2015. She now runs CHVRCH alongside KARMA, a Sunday night residency showcasing house and techno at the AC Lounge in North Park. These days LUNA is an artist that stands on her own two feet. She keeps fueling her soul as she learns to embrace her light. We're very honored to be featuring LUNA as our next guest!

No stranger to the Los Angeles music scene, Davy James grew up playing in bands and performing up and down the West Coast, ultimately discovering his love for DJing, house music and the LA underground. Inspired by late-night warehouse parties and the thriving, transformational festival scene in SoCal, Davy’s original productions and DJ sets aim to blend the lush subtleties of deep house and driving, intricate rhythms of tech house and minimal. The highlight of Davy’s DJ career came in 2015 when he performed at one of America’s most prized house and techno institutions, Desert Hearts. With a forthcoming EP on Noise Revolt Records, Davy James plans to spend 2016 working in the studio and bringing his eclectic approach to house music to dance floors across Southern California.

Another Monkey is a DJ & violinist duo who improvise every set along the lines of deep house, tech house, techno, and sometimes breaks and drum & bass. Audiences can be rest assured to enjoy an original experience every time. Another Monkey has shared the stage with artists like Darin Epsilon, Christian Martin, Worthy, Marques Wyatt, DJ Sabo, Ben Seagren and many more. When they are not performing at festivals, they love to produce and contribute to the visions of others. Another Monkey has helped throw more than seven boutique and transformational outdoor camping festivals since 2013.
Britton is a house and techno DJ/producer originally from the San Diego area. After receiving a degree in audio engineering from the LA Film School, Britton began to dig deeper into the Los Angeles underground scene. Since then, he has released music on multiple labels and maintained a busy schedule, showcasing his music throughout America and Europe. Britton is a resident DJ and co-curator of the Noise Revolt Collective-now turned record label, which has become a well respected brand in the SoCal underground and festival circuit. Britton has been fortunate enough to showcase his music at festivals like Symbiosis, Woogie Weekend and YOUtopia through the Noise Revolt RevoLounge which is a man-made structure set up for people to relax, mingle, collaborate and get lost in the music.
Kinohou moved to San Diego from Hawaii in early 2014. In Hawaii, he started DJing at a local radio station. Due to the lack of a scene, Kinohou started his own company called Bass Innovations, LLC. Unfortunately, it seemed he was one of the very few involved in this underground movement in Hawaii and wished to be a part of something greater. Kinohou started playing live in San Diego in early 2015. Since then, he has played with the likes of Thee-O, Joe Pea, DJ Huggie, Mikey High Jinks, Bruno Da Mata, Jef Philips and many more local artists who reside in the San Diego and LA area. Kinohou is a resident DJ of one of the most successful new collectives in San Diego called Pleasure which is comprised of Hector Evan Mendoza aka Tripsy and Kenny Lytle aka Pro-K. Pleasure is known for going out on a limb and testing new waters. Whether they are throwing a party in the evening, strictly in the AM hours, or out in the desert, newcomers and loyal fans are guaranteed to enjoy the full experience.

She is currently co-producing the Native Alien annual events: Contact and Dia de los Muertos. Red Sonya has released her own productions on labels such as Stripped Recordings, Stripped Digital, Hype Musik, and Stripped Off. Fresh from her year-long trip around the globe, Margot continues to play on a weekly basis in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Mexico. We were fortunate enough to catch some of her gigs in LA last year. As the year comes to an end, Margot LOX is gearing up for a mini-tour with dates in Atlanta, Chicago, Minneapolis, and back to Mexico. 2016 will be a big year for Margot as she works on production and perfecting her craft.

This week we get deep and chic with special guest SASO! In just a short amount of time, SASO has gained recognition and turned heads with her unique and energetic "Deep & Chic" sound. Her love for music started at age five when she learned to play the drums alongside her father's guitar riffs. Having a knack for rhythm and beats, SASO soon geared up and decided to get behind the decks herself. Her funky tech sound has also garnered the attention of international labels and has surely allowed her to make a name for herself in just a short period of time. The future of this rising star looks bright as she continues to push a swanky, sassy, confident and bass driven sound that is all her own - "chic house." SASO is now focusing her attention on producing and touring worldwide. She currently resides in Los Angeles and works in the fashion industry.

The almighty episode 10 of our podcast series will feature San Diego's very own KARMA! KARMA is a house and techno producer with a distinct sound and taste in music. His love for music transcends all borders—unifying souls through auditive frequencies. KARMA's strong affiliations include DIVINITY, Eden, and Cosmikal Records. He has played shows with Steve Lawler, Popof, Sandra Collins, Antix & Fiord, Stefano Noferini, Christian Martin and Vanilla Ace. Karma has also held international residencies for over a year—having played at one of Baja California's biggest festivals called Ekinox two years in a row which is now known as time and space: Ekinox portal. KARMA has played at well known clubs including Bang (San Diego), Wherehouse (Tijuana), Spin (San Diego) and Yourevolution (Tijuana). Residencies include AC Lounge, Spin Nightclub and Yourevolution. In 2012, Brandon attended the LA School of Audio Engineering to sharpen his skills. He has released music on labels such as OLD SQL Recordings and Wülfpack Records. Last year, Tripsy had the great honor of closing out the final day of the Desert Hearts festival with his unique sunrise DJ set performance. It was truly an epic and memorable moment for him.
