Here I share something I was led to learn while I was having my prayer time with God. I hope it encourages you as it did me.
I leave a little message to all of you, my friends, as we prepare for the end of the academic year. And here’s a verse I’d like you to keep in your heart: “I pray that God will give to you all the things that you really want. He will help you to do everything that you want to do.” Psalms 20:4 EASY
2021 leaves tomorrow, I hope the new year ahead of us brings us many miracles, many joys, many opportunities to show kindness to others around us. And when these opportunities come, may we take them. I hope in the new year, we are unafraid of pausing when we should, of breathing, of learning again, of making reflections about the processes and standards we embrace. When we feel tired, I hope we rest. In the year ahead of us, I hope we stay close to our ‘why’ in all that we do, and that we stay attentive to the things that inspire us. If we must compete, may it not be in a way that takes away from our humanness. May our hearts be filled with compassion. May our minds be sharper. May our visions and dreams be clearer. May our speeches be lined with grace. May our actions be sincere. May our faith be stronger. And may the community around us, be one that inspires us to never stop choosing love and integrity everyday.

This episode is very special to me. It’s for anyone who is hurting and who might need a reminder of God’s presence. And, it’s for all of us - a little reminder of the perfect gift of God’s love as we celebrate Christmas again. I have read two of my own short stories, ones I wrote to help us remember what Christmas means in our hearts.

Today I choose to pray for all of us. I know it’s been very stressful, and I’ve also felt tired too. So, I decided to say a prayer for all of us, as we remember how present God is with us, even in the tightest of moments.
I was led to make an episode about spending time with God, even in the motion of our school and research work. I especially thank David Heckendorn for a beautiful message at First Friday this October. I found seeds of my message within it.
“But here’s how I’d like to encourage us to approach the (new) session: with a conscious leaning on God’s grace.”
Today is special. It makes it a year since we began Scholarship by Grace. It’s also my birthday today. As we begin our new season together, I hope we find rest and renewal each day. And I hope we always invite God into our experiencing school, in every part of it. 🍃
Here’s to all my friends who are in the early days of research or writing, and for all of us who have great vision and big dreams. “Do not despise the days of small beginnings,” for these days are so important to God. Bring Him through the entire strides. Make Him Partner. “Trust in the Lord completely, and do not rely on your own opinions. With all your heart rely on him to guide you, and he will lead you in every decision you make. Become intimate with him in whatever you do, and he will lead you wherever you go.” Proverbs 3:5-6 TPT

Let’s take this moment to invite God’s presence to be with us and go with us as we resume this Fall, and beyond. His presence will be with us, and He’ll see us through.
And in honour of God and out of so much gratitude for His grace, I began the Scholarship by Grace podcast yesterday. I got to know God first through my academic life. He showed me He was present, and taught me how to depend on grace. He showed me how to trust Him, and from the first days I began to do school with God in senior secondary school, He began to show me Who He is more, and I learnt to call Him Father. So, here’s a simple pod out of a heart of gratitude, in honour of a loving Father Who never leaves us to face life alone. Here’s an invitation to Scholarship by Grace. God’s grace has given me strength, and His embrace has given me peace 🍃🍃
