In this podcast episode, we explore the profound essence of generosity as a divine calling and responsibility bestowed upon us as Christians. We are reminded that true generosity goes beyond financial contributions, encompassing acts of kindness, empathy, and wisdom. Strategic giving, receiving graciously, and cultivating gratitude are discussed as vital aspects of generosity. The concept of utilitarian generosity is challenged, emphasizing the need to focus on the outcome of giving rather than expectations. Ultimately, we are encouraged to trust in God, seeking to glorify Him through our generosity, as exemplified by the lesson found in Matthew 26:6.

In today's discussion, we delve into the transformative concept of giving. While the topic of giving often elicits discomfort in some, it is essential to clarify that our focus today transcends mere financial contributions to your local church. Instead, we explore the profound significance of living a sacrificial life—one that involves giving our time, resources, and ultimately, ourselves. By examining the psychology of giving, we uncover its ability to redirect our attention away from self-centeredness towards others, infuse our lives with purpose, elevate our self-esteem, and alleviate stress and anxiety.

As Christians, we all long to know God’s plan for our lives. We want to know that we are on the right path, that we are fulfilling His purposes, and that we are making the right decisions. Yet, despite our best efforts, we can still feel unsure of what God wants us to do.
When faced with big life decisions, it’s easy to get overwhelmed and worry that we might miss God’s will. However, we can take comfort in knowing that God is always with us, guiding us and leading us towards His perfect plan.
While we may not hear an audible voice or receive a clear-cut answer, we can determine God’s will by seeking Him through prayer, studying His Word, and listening to the Holy Spirit’s prompting. As we do so, we can ask ourselves the eight important questions discussed in this week's podcast episode.

This week we are discussing the topic “Do we really need to go to church?” Many are wondering though, if we stay home and watch church on our television in our pajamas, do we really need to go to church when this is all over? What is the point of church if we can watch from wherever we want?

Welcome back to a new week of the Hope Rescue Podcast. When we published our first podcast episode discussing COVID-19 at the beginning of March, we didn’t expect to still be discussing it in May. Now it is May 4th and we are still feeling the impact that the Coronavius is making on the country. Between businesses and schools closing down, millions of Americans losing their jobs, and individuals staying home, people are starting to feel heavy about the situation. Today we are talking about endurance, but more specifically enduring even when you can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Welcome to a new week of the Hope Rescue Podcast, and if this is your first time here, welcome! We are excited this week to be continuing our series called "Dumb Things Christians Say." If you missed the last few episodes, we started this series in episode 54 where we discussed the cliche "God needed another angel in heaven." In episode 55 we discussed the cliche "God will never give you more than you can handle." And last week in episode 56 we debunked the saying "Never judge." This week we are discussing the saying, “God accepts you as you are. There is no reason to repent to be saved.”
