22 Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowd. 23 After he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray. Later that night, he was there alone, 24 and the boat was already a considerable distance from land, buffeted by the waves because the wind was against it. 25 Shortly before dawn Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake.
26 When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. “It’s a ghost,” they said, and cried out in fear. 27 But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.” 28 “Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.” 29 “Come,” he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. 30 But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!” 31 Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?” 32 And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down. 33 Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.”

and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.”
If you can believe that you are saved, then you can also believe that you are healed
because both come from the same source and the same sacrifice.
2 - Healing is a manifestation of the goodness of God
Matthew 8:16–17 (NKJV) - And He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick, 17
that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: “He Himself took our

disappeared.
1 Peter 2:24 (TPT) - He himself carried our sins in his body on the cross so that we would be dead to
sin and live for righteousness. Our instant healing flowed from his wounding.
3 - Healing is received by faith
Matthew 9:28–30 (NKJV) - Do you believe that I am able to do this?” They said to Him, “Yes, Lord.” 29
Then He touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith let it be to you.” 30 And their eyes
were opened.
Psalm 103:2–5 (NKJV) - Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: 3 Who forgives all
your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, 4 Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns
you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, 5 Who satisfies your mouth with good things…

void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.

And wherever the cloud settled, the people of Israel would set up camp. In this way, they traveled and camped at the LORD’s command wherever he told them to go. …v.23 So they camped or traveled at the LORD’s command, AND they did whatever the LORD told them through Moses.
1 Cor. 12:18 (NIV) - But in fact God has placed the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be.
Romans 13:1 (NIV) - Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.
1 Samuel 3:8b-11a (NLT) - Then Eli realized it was the LORD who was calling the boy. So he said to Samuel, “Go and lie down again, and if someone calls again, say, ‘Speak, LORD, your servant is listening.’” So Samuel went back to bed. And the LORD came and called as before, “Samuel! Samuel!” And Samuel replied, “Speak, your servant is listening.” Then the LORD said to Samuel…

10 Spies Report – the promise land is amazing…..BUT!!!
Numbers 13:27–29 (NLT) – This was their report to Moses: “We entered the land you sent us to
explore, and it is indeed a bountiful country—a land flowing with milk and honey. Here is the kind of
fruit it produces. 28 But the people living there are powerful, and their towns are large and fortified. We

felt like grasshoppers, and that’s what they thought, too!”

have us die in battle? Our wives and our little ones will be carried off as plunder! Wouldn’t it be better
for us to return to Egypt?” 4 Then they plotted among themselves, “Let’s choose a new leader and go
back to Egypt!”
Faith speaks - “God is with us, we can take the land”
Numbers 14:6–9 (NLT) – Two of the men who had explored the land, Joshua son of Nun and Caleb
son of Jephunneh, tore their clothing. 7 They said to all the people of Israel, “The land we traveled
through and explored is a wonderful land! 8 And if the Lord is pleased with us, he will bring us safely
into that land and give it to us. It is a rich land flowing with milk and honey. 9 Do not rebel against the
Lord, and don’t be afraid of the people of the land. They are only helpless prey to us! They have no
protection, but the Lord is with us! Don’t be afraid of them!”

TPT (The Passion Translation):
So be careful how you live. If a fellow believer sins against you, you must first privately confront
that person about his fault, and if there is repentance, forgive him. No matter how many times in
one day your brother sins against you and says, 'I'm sorry; I'm changing my ways,' you need to
forgive him each and every time." When the apostles heard this, they said to Jesus, "Lord, you
must increase our faith!" Jesus responded, "If you have even the smallest portion of authentic
faith, it would be powerful enough to say to this large tree, 'My word will pull you up by the roots
and throw you into the sea,' and it will respond to your voice!
AMP (Amplified Bible):
"Pay attention to yourselves! ...”
Jesus was teaching his disciples about the extent of forgiveness and their response was
‘increase our faith!!’
WE ARE INSTRUCTED TO FORGIVE
Matthew 6:14-15 "For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive
you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your
trespasses."
Mark 11:25-26 "And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive
him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. But if you do not forgive,
neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses."
Ephesians 4:32 "And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as
God in Christ forgave you."
Colossians 3:13 "Bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a
complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do."
Matthew 18:21-22 "Then Peter came to Him and said, 'Lord, how often shall my brother sin
against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?' Jesus said to him, 'I do not say to you, up to
seven times, but up to seventy times seven.'"
Luke 23:34 "Then Jesus said, 'Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.'"

● The boundaries or limits of life
● The outward expressions of inner character
● The streams or currents that flow from the heart
● The courses or directions life takes
● The outcomes and results of what's in the heart
Consider that Paul was a murderer.
By definition forgiveness means canceling a debt.
You don't have to pay me back.
Why does it feel like if we forgive that person it's letting go of the power we have over them?
Matthew 5:44 (AMP):
But I say to you, love [that is, unselfishly seek the best or higher good for] your enemies and
pray for those who persecute you
If you're having a hard time doing that, then you may be struggling with unforgiveness or
bitterness.
James 2:17 (NIV) - faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
20 You foolish man, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless?
Foolish – without anything, empty handed - without possessions, family, success…
ineffective - destitute of spiritual wealth, of one who boasts of his faith, yet is without the fruits of faith
ABRAHAM
21 Was not our ancestor Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son
Isaac on the altar? 22 You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was
made complete by what he did.
“You see”…(understand)
“His faith and his actions were working together” –
Working together - synergeō - to cooperate together; assist; partner
“His faith was made complete by what he did (actions)”
Complete – mature…developed…grew
Lit. – to add what is yet wanting in order to render a thing full
RAHAB
25 In the same way, was not even Rahab the prostitute considered righteous for what she did when
she gave lodging to the spies and sent them off in a different direction?
Hebrews 11:30–31 (NKJV) - By faith the walls of Jericho fell down after they were encircled for seven
days. 31 By faith the harlot Rahab did not perish with those who did not believe, when she had
received the spies with peace.

Prov 31:28 Her children rise up and call her blessed (happy, prosperous, to be admired); Her husband also, and he praises her, saying…
Children Honor Mom
Prov 31:28 Her children stand and bless her.

Jesus was obedient to his mom.
Luke 2:51-52 (Jesus) was obedient to (his mother) and grew in wisdom, statute and favor.
Jesus honored his mother by obeying her
How do teens and young adults HONOR MOM by respecting.
Jesus gave us an example of respecting his mom. When Jesus didn’t want to do what his mom was asking him to do.
John 2:3-11 AMP … the mother of Jesus said to Him, “[a]They have no more wine.” 4 Jesus said to her, “[Dear] woman, [b]what is that to you and to Me? My time [to act and to be revealed] has not yet come.” 5 His mother said to the servants, “Whatever He says to you, do it.” 7 Jesus said to the servants, “Fill the waterpots with water.” So they filled them up to the brim. 8 Then He said to them, “Draw some out now and take it to the headwaiter [of the banquet].” So they took it to him. 9 And when the headwaiter tasted the water which had turned into wine, .. you have kept back the good wine until now.” 11 This, the first of His signs (attesting miracles), Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and revealed His glory [displaying His deity and His great power openly], and His disciples believed [confidently] in Him [as the Messiah—they adhered to, trusted in, and relied on Him].
Jesus honored his mother at a wedding by showing her respect.
Solomon, the wisest and richest man showed appreciation for his mother
1 Kings 2:19-20 NLT …Bathsheba went to King Solomon to speak … The king rose from his throne to meet her, and he bowed down before her. When he sat down on his throne again, the king ordered that a throne be brought for his mother, and she sat at his right hand. “I have one small request to make of you,” she said. “I hope you won’t turn me down.” “What is it, my mother?” he asked. “You know I won’t refuse you.”
Solomon Honored His Mom 4 ways
He rose to greet her
He bowed or we can hug and kiss her
He sat a chair next to him - a seat on his right hand is a position of honor
He talked with her and He listened to her

I WANT IT NOW…STAY IN FAITH
Mark 5:34 (NLT) - he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace. Your
suffering is over.”
Mark 9:23 (NKJV) - Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who
believes.”
Mark 16:17–18 (NLT) - These miraculous signs will accompany those who believe… 18 They will be
able to place their hands on the sick, and they will be healed.”
Mark 11:14 (ESV) - And he said to it, “May no one ever eat fruit from you again.” And his disciples
heard it.
Mark 11:20–22 (NKJV) - Now in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from
the roots. 21 And Peter, remembering, said to Him, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree which You cursed has
withered away.” 22 So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God…”
1 John 5:4 (NLT) - For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through
our faith.
“I have victory through my faith”
“stay in faith, no matter what”
Hebrews 6:13–15 (TPT) - God made a promise to Abraham, … 14 So he said, “Have no doubt, I
promise to bless you over and over, and give you a son and multiply you without measure!” 15 So
Abraham waited patiently in faith and succeeded in seeing the promise fulfilled.
Hebrews 6:12 (NIV) - imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.
Patience – Remain + Under (endurance; don’t quit; don’t give up)
Romans 4:19–21 (NLT) - Abraham’s faith did not weaken, even though, at about 100 years of age, he
figured his body was as good as dead—and so was Sarah’s womb. 20 Abraham never wavered in
believing God’s promise. In fact, his faith grew stronger, and in this he brought glory to God. 21 He
was fully convinced that God is able to do whatever he promises.
Believing leads to belonging
Acts 2:47 (NKJV) - And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.
Ephesians 1:22–23 (MSG) - He is in charge of it all, has the final word on everything. At the center of
all this, Christ rules the church. 23 The church, you see, is not peripheral to the world; the world is
peripheral to the church. The church is Christ’s body, in which he speaks and acts, by which he fills
everything with his presence.
If you believe…you will see
John 3:3–7 (NLT) - Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, unless you are born again, you cannot see the
Kingdom of God.” 6 Humans can reproduce only human life, but the Holy Spirit gives birth to spiritual
life. 7 So don’t be surprised when I say, ‘You must
John 20:26–29 (MSG) - Eight days later, his disciples were again in the room. This time Thomas was
with them. Jesus came through the locked doors, stood among them, and said, “Peace to you.” 27
Then he focused his attention on Thomas. “Take your finger and examine my hands. Take your hand
and stick it in my side. Don’t be unbelieving. Believe.” 28 Thomas said, “My Master! My God!” 29 Jesus
said, “So, you believe because you’ve seen with your own eyes. Even better blessings are in store for
those who believe without seeing.”
Jesus calls ordinary people like us to reach others for Him.
Verse:
Matthew 28:16–20 (AMP) - Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain which Jesus had designated. 17 And when they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some doubted [that it was really He]. 18 Jesus came up and said to them, “All authority (all power of absolute rule) in heaven and on earth has been given to Me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations [help the people to learn of Me, believe in Me, and obey My words], baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe everything that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always [remaining with you perpetually—regardless of circumstance, and on every occasion], even to the end of the age.”
Verse:
Matthew 28:18 (AMP) - “All authority (all power of absolute rule) in heaven and on earth has been given to Me..."
POINT #1
Jesus has the authority to make you extraordinary
BILLY GRAHAM VIDEO (if shown it will go here)
POINT #2
Obey His command to Go
Matthew 28:19 (AMP) - "Go therefore and make disciples..."
Romans 10:17 - So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Romans 10:14-17 - How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written:
“How beautiful are the feet of those who [b]preach the gospel of peace,Who bring glad tidings of good things!” … 17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
“Go” (Greek: πορευθέντες / poreuthentes)
Hudson Taylor (A Christian missionary from England)
“The Great Commission is not an option to be considered; it is a command to be obeyed.”
David Livingstone (A missionary in Africa)
“God had only one Son, and He made Him a missionary.”
Luke 14:23 (NIV) – “Then the master told his servant, ‘Go out to the roads and country lanes and compel them to come in, so that my house will be full.’”
POINT #3
Help people learn about Jesus
Matthew 28:16-20 (AMP) - "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations [help the people to learn of Me..."
John Piper - “Christians are supposed to move toward need, not comfort.”
POINT #4
Remember, Jesus always goes with you
Matthew 28:20 (AMP) - "...and lo, I am with you always [remaining with you perpetually—regardless of circumstance, and on every occasion], even to the end of the age.”
Acts 1:8 (NIV) – "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses..."
Three steps to going
Pray for one person
Care for them
Invite them
Mark 4:35–41 (ESV) - On that day, when evening had come, he said to them, “Let us go across to the
other side.” 36 And leaving the crowd, they took him with them in the boat… 37 And a great windstorm
arose, and the waves were breaking into the boat, so that the boat was already filling. 38 But he was in
the stern, asleep on the cushion. And they woke him and said to him, “Teacher, do you not care that
we are perishing?” 39 And he awoke and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, “Peace! Be still!” And
the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. 40 He said to them, “Why are you so afraid? Have you
still no faith?” 41 And they said to one another, “Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey
him?”
1 - PURPOSE - “Let us go across to the other side.”
2 - PROBLEM - And a great windstorm arose (“suddenly”), and the waves were breaking into
the boat, so that the boat was already filling
Mark 4:37 (MSG) - A huge storm came up. Waves poured into the boat, threatening to sink it.
3 - PANIC – “Do you not care that we are perishing?”
Perishing – to lose; be lost; to die
Sensory perception is the process by which the brain interprets and organizes information gathered
from our five senses (sight, hearing, touch, taste, and smell), allowing us to understand and interact
with the world
Storms = nature out of control.
4 - PEACE - He awoke and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, “Peace! Be still!” And the
wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
STORM - Disciples panicking…………… Jesus sleeping
Peace – be calm
Be still – be quiet… to stop the mouth, make speechless, reduce to silence.

Hebrews 11:1 (NKJV)
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Hebrews 11:1 (TPT)
Now faith brings our hopes into reality and becomes the foundation needed to acquire the
things we long for. It is all the evidence required to prove what is still unseen.
Substance - hypostasis
● It can refer to a foundation, ground, or base - something that stands underneath and
provides support
● It can mean substance, essence, or actual being
● It can convey the sense of confidence, assurance, or guarantee
● Our faith NEEDS something to add substance to.
In life, Hope, Faith, Love, Wisdom are essential!
Hope is a corollary to Vision, It gives us direction. It shows us the destination.
Godly wisdom is like my GPS, or my map. It helps me plot the way there.
Faith is the vehicle that takes me there.
Love is the fuel in the faith vehicle!
Hebrews 6:13,18
' When God made his promise to Abraham, he backed it all the way, putting his own reputation
on the line. He said, “I promise that I’ll bless you with everything I have—bless and bless and
bless!” Abraham stuck it out and got everything that had been promised to him. When people
make promises, they guarantee them by appeal to some authority above them so that if there is
any question that they’ll make good on the promise, the authority will back them up. When God
wanted to guarantee his promises, he gave his word, a rock-solid guarantee—God can’t break
his word. And because his word cannot change, the promise is likewise unchangeable. We who
have run for our very lives to God have every reason to grab the promised hope with both hands
and never let go. It’s an unbreakable spiritual lifeline, reaching past all appearances right to the
very presence of God where Jesus, running on ahead of us, has taken up his permanent post
as high priest for us, in the order of Melchizedek.'

Romans 4:18
Even when there was no reason for hope, Abraham kept hoping—believing that he would
become the father of many nations. For God had said to him, 'That's how many descendants
you will have!'
Romans 4:19-21
"And Abraham's faith did not weaken, even though, at about 100 years of age, he figured his
body was as good as dead—and so was Sarah's womb. Abraham never wavered in believing
God's promise. In fact, his faith grew stronger, and in this he brought glory to God. He was fully
convinced that God is able to do whatever he promises."
Proverbs 13:12
NKJV: Hope deferred makes the heart sick, But when the desire comes, it is a tree of life.
Sick: weakness and suffering
TPT: When hope's dream seems to drag on and on, the delay can be depressing. But when at
last your dream comes true, life's sweetness will satisfy your soul.
a. Doubt
b. Unbelief
c. Hardened Heart
Doubt can lead to disappointment.
Disappointment can lead to Unbelief.
Unbelief can lead to a hardened heart.
a. Guard against Doubt
Doubt in Scripture typically involves questioning or wavering while still maintaining some level
of faith.
● Intellectual or emotional uncertainty while still seeking truth
● Often temporary and can coexist with faith
● Seen in biblical figures who still followed God despite questions
Examples: Thomas, John the Baptist, Father of the demonized child
b. Guard against Unbelief
● A willful rejection or hardening against divine truth
● Persistent resistance rather than honest questioning
● A heart condition that prevents faith from taking root
●
Examples: The Pharisees & Sadducees, The Home crowd of Nazareth, Zachariah
c. Guard against a Hardened Heart
This represents a more severe spiritual condition than either doubt or unbelief. It's characterized
by a deliberate, progressive resistance to God's truth that eventually becomes a fixed state of
spiritual insensitivity.
● It’s progressive, occurring over time
● It is having eyes that cannot see and ears that cannot hear
Examples: Pharaoh, the Israelites in the Wilderness, the disciples of Christ!
Mark 6:52 For they had not understood about the loaves; their hearts were hardened.
Mark 8:17-18 Are your hearts hardened? Having eyes do you not see, and having ears do you
not hear?
Stretch your faith every day so you can fulfill God’s Vision for your life
The Thought That "God Will Not Give Us More Than We Can Handle" Is Not True - He will not give us more than HE can handle
"We ask ourselves, ‘Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?’ Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you… We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same..."
"Nothing of eternal significance happens apart from prayer."
More vision = more prayer

VERSES:
Isaiah 54:2-3 (NIV) - “Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes. For you will spread out to the right and to the left; your descendants will dispossess nations and settle in their desolate cities.

burst into song, shout for joy,
you who were never in labor;

So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17
Matthew 7:24-25 (NIV) – “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.”
Isaiah 55:11 (NIV) – “So is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.”
John 3:6 (NKJV) – “That which is born of the Spirit is spirit.”
JESUS TAUGHT THAT FAITH SPEAKS
Mark 11:22-23 (NKJV) – Have faith in God (have the God kind of faith) 23 For assuredly, I say to you,
whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his
heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.
John 6:63 (NKJV) - The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.
Hebrews 4:12 (NLT) - For the word of God is alive and powerful.

Ephesians 5:1 (MSG) - Watch what God does, and then you do it…

its fruit.
Proverbs 18:21 (MSG) - Words kill, words give life; they’re either poison or fruit—you choose.
“Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me“
“its gonna kill me if I have to go to that class again”
“my kids are never going to listen to me”
“I just keep getting sick all the time”
“no matter who much money I make, I will never be enough”
We have to be careful, not to reduce God to our level of thinking.
Proverbs 30:32 (TPT) - if you’ve thought about saying something stupid, you’d better shut your
mouth. (put your hand on your mouth)
1 Peter 3:10 (NLB) - If you want a happy, good life, keep control of your tongue,
Proverbs 6:2 (ESV) - you are snared in the words of your mouth, caught in the words of your mouth,
Matthew 12:36–37 (MSG) - Let me tell you something: Every one of these careless words is going to
come back to haunt you. There will be a time of Reckoning. Words are powerful; take them seriously.
37 Words can be your salvation (set free). Words can also be your damnation (put in bondage).”
James 3:4–5 (NKJV) - Look also at ships: although they are so large and are driven by fierce winds,
they are turned by a very small rudder wherever the pilot desires. 5 Even so the tongue is a little

Mark 11:23 (NKJV) – whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and
does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever
he says.
WORDS BRING DELIVERANCE
Proverbs 12:6 (NKJV) - But the mouth of the upright will deliver them.
Daniel 3:17 (NLT) - If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God whom we serve is able to save
us. He will rescue us from your power, Your Majesty.
WORDS BRING GOD’S BLESSING & FAVOR
Psalm 84.11 NLV - The Lord gives favor and honor. He holds back nothing good from those who walk
in the way that is right.
THE MIRACLE WILL MEET YOU…
HEAR THE WORD OF GOD
SPEAK THE WORD OF GOD
“HAVE FAITH IN GOD” - Have the God kind of faith
“whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his
heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.”
The God kind of faith = Believe & Speak, Speak, Speak
Hebrews 11:3 RSV - By faith we understand that the world was created by the word of God
God created the world by the words He spoke……….GOD KIND OF FAITH
MY FAITH CAN CHANGE MY WORLD
“HIS DISCIPLES HEARD IT”
Matthew 13:11 (NKJV) - It has been given to you to know (understand) the mysteries (hidden truth) of
the kingdom of heaven…
OUR FAITH IS RELEASED THROUGH OUR WORDS
Matthew 17:20 (NKJV) - if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move
from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.
Luke 17:5–6 (NLT) - The apostles said to the Lord, “Show us how to increase our faith.” 6 The Lord
answered, “If you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree,
‘May you be uprooted and be planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you!
Romans 10:8–10 (NKJV) - “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word
of faith which we preach): 9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your
heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes
unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Confession – same + word…..speaking the same words God spoke
Luke 5:3–6 (NKJV) - Then He got into one of the boats, which was Simon’s, and asked him to put out
a little from the land. And He sat down and taught the multitudes from the boat. 4 When He had
stopped speaking, He said to Simon, “Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.” 5
But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing;
nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net.” 6 And when they had done this, they caught a
great number of fish, and their net was breaking.
Matthew 8:8–10 (NKJV) - The centurion answered and said, “Lord, I am not worthy that You should
come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed. 9 For I also am a man
under authority, having soldiers under me. And I say to this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and to another,
‘Come,’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.” 10 When Jesus heard it, He
marveled, and said to those who followed, “Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith,
not even in Israel!
Matthew 8:13 (NKJV) -Then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go your way; and as you have believed,
so let it be done for you.” And his servant was healed that same hour.
Matthew 8:16 (TPT) - And by Jesus only speaking a word of healing over them, they were totally set
free from their torment, and everyone who was sick received their healing!
DECIDE TO SAY WHAT GOD SAYS
Get a bad diagnosis – SAY WHAT GOD SAYS
Struggling financially – SAY WHAT GOD SAYS
Discouraged/Depressed – SAY WHAT GOD SAYS
My faith is a connector between my world & God’s world. When I say what God says I will have
what God has……peace, joy, provision, healing, favor, success. My words can change my
world
Every human has faith, naturally.
Every believer has faith, divinely.
Romans 12:1-3 NKJV
[1] I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present
your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your
reasonable service. [2] And do not be conformed to this world, but be
transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that
good and acceptable and perfect will of God. [3] For I say, through the grace
given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more
highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each
one a measure of faith.

Story of the talents
Matthew 25:14-27 MSG
[14-18] “It’s also like a man going off on an extended trip. He called his
servants together and delegated responsibilities. To one he gave five
thousand dollars, to another two thousand, to a third one thousand, depending
on their abilities. Then he left.......,’ [24-25] “The servant given one thousand
said, ‘Master, I know you have high standards and hate careless ways, that
you demand the best and make no allowances for error. I was afraid I might
disappoint you, so I found a good hiding place and secured your money.
[26-27] “The master was furious. ‘That’s a terrible way to live! It’s criminal to
live cautiously like that! If you knew I was after the best, why did you do less
than the least? The least you could have done would have been to invest the
sum with the bankers, where at least I would have gotten a little interest.
But what about doubt?
The Father's Cry (Mark 9:24)
In a deeply human moment, a father seeking healing for his son cries
out to Jesus, "I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!" This short
verse powerfully captures the coexistence of faith and doubt.
Personal Faith Story...
What can we do? What should we do?
Love the Word.
Feed your Faith - Read the Word, meditate on the Word, come to church &
hear the Word, and hear the Word and hear the Word
Hit the gym (of life - Gym life yo! Don't skip leg day!)
When it's all said and done, It's not even about what Faith can help us obtain.
It's about learning to trust God. That's the part that pleases our heavenly
Father! The real prize Is an assurance in the Divine God, greater than
whatever we may be experiencing in this world.
Now, that is something that cannot be taken from us, even in eternity.
The Miracle Force of Faith
Matt 17:15 -19,20 (NIV, NKJ) Lord, have mercy on my son, because he has seizures and suffers terribly;…I brought him to your disciples, but they could not heal him…
You unbelieving … generation,” Jesus replied,
(the father said) I brought him to your disciples, but they could not heal him. …Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of the boy, and he was healed at that moment… the disciples came to Jesus in private and asked, “Why couldn’t we drive it out?”…So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.
In Matt 17:20 ..the disciple asked why they couldn’t do the miracle.
Jesus said because you have no faith.
In Matt 13:58 (Jesus) did not do many miracles (in his home town) because of their lack of faith.

Mark 13:31 NIV
Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
Heb 11:1 KJV
Now faith is (believing God’s words) the substance (the legal document, the proof) of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen.
Say it with me
We believe the Bible. It is our legal promise that we will receive the things we are hoping for and the Bible is our evidence of the things we cannot see.
NLT 35-33:11 Hebrews
By faith these people overthrew kingdoms, ruled with justice, and received what God had promised them. They shut the mouths of lions, quenched the flames of fire, and escaped death by the edge of the sword. Their weakness was turned to strength. They became strong in battle and put whole armies to flight. Women received their loved ones back again from death.
Many of us are fighting for our children to come back to the Lord, fighting for our marriage to be restored or fighting for healing in our bodies.
-We must understand the Christian life is a fight of faith
1 Tim 6:12 Fight the good fight of faith.
-We must grasp the idea that “in order to please God and walk together with him you must have faith”
Heb 11:6 And without faith it is impossible to please God.
-We must realize Jesus commands us to have faith
Mark 11:22 Then Jesus said to the disciples, “Have faith in God.“
-We must comprehend the law of faith
Rom 3:27 the law of faith
Matt 17:20 MSB
Jesus answered. For truly I tell you, if you have faith (believe God and His Word) the size of a mustard seed, you can say (scriptures) to this mountain, Move from here to there and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.
Mark 11:23 …you can have what you say…
Matt 15:27. Yes, Lord, yet even the dogs eat the crumb
Bible leaders one word changed their lives
-Joshua and Caleb‘s said we are well able and they took the land
-Mary said be it unto me according to your word and she birthed Jesus
-Jesus said not my will, but your will be done and he went to the cross for our sins
-Joshua said meditate on the word day and night and everything you do will prosper and Joshua prospered
-Meshack Shadrack and Abednego said God can deliver us from the fiery furnace and God did
The words God said to us..
Greater is he who is in you then he that is in the world
Greater works than these you will do
No weapon formed against you will prosper
Through Christ, you’re more than a conqueror
You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you
If Christ is for you who can be against you
You are always above and never beneath. You are the head and not the tail.

(Scriptures for salvation)
Romans 5:1 (NLT) - we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God
because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us.
Romans 10:13 (NKJV) - “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved”

Developing a habit of morning prayer is a powerful way to deepen your connection with God and transform your life. As Psalm 27:8 reminds us, God is calling us to come and talk with Him, and when we respond, He promises to guide us on the best path (Psalm 32:8). Whether you're struggling with time or unsure where to start, follow the example of Jesus in Luke 11 and pray with intention, surrender, and trust. By making morning prayer a daily habit, you'll invite God's wisdom, provision, and protection into every aspect of your life.
We pray for God's divine protection over our lives, families, and everything we hold dear. Through Psalm 91, we learn that God sends His angels to guard and shield us from harm, sickness, accidents, and all dangers. As believers, we have a host of angels assigned to us, surrounding us with supernatural protection. We declare God's promises and pray for His angels to surround us and keep us safe, day and night.
God want's us to be close to Him. But when we sin it causes separation with our heavenly Father. That's why it is important for all believers to ask God for forgiveness every morning in the Lord's Prayer. But when we don't make ourselves right with God and with others, it actually causes not only separation with God it causes us to be separated from people, or even worse, our church family.
We are in the most controversial time in our nation. It's easy for Christians to want to sit this election out. But God calls us to be the salt of the world. We are to be the preservative that sustains righteousness, and purity. Our vote can not be based off our thoughts, opinions, or feelings. We vote based off of what the word of God says.
God calls himself our healer, and that title has not changed. And as believers we have access to the unlimited power that God provides. By getting a promise from God, and speaking it out, we can receive the miracle.
This is a life changing message. It was even better on the front row, but you should till watch it. Pastor Jerry talks about how God healed his son, and how he can heal yours too. How Jesus did miracles, and that He still is today. All we have to do is look at what WE DO HAVE, and offer it to God. Then sit back and see what God does in our life. Our little goes from 3D to 4D... a fourth dimension where miracles and life change are. Check it out!
One of the ways we prepare ourselves for the blessing of God is by being a good steward of what he's given us. Are YOU on a budget? We'd like to encourage you to be. Talking about money and how we spend it can be a touchy subject for people, but we believe God wants to free us from being dominated by money so we can thrive and be generous. Start a budget, and prepare the space for God's blessing in your life!
How are we going to pay the bills? How am I going to get out of debt? Should I get this? Money brings up a lot of questions. Even the wealthiest of people stress about the questions that money brings. God doesn't want us to rely on ourselves when it comes to finances. But He also wants us to be wise. Jesus taught us to be good stewards with what we have, thats why creating a budget is so important for our daily lives.
Most Christians today have a problem with tithing. But did you know that it is actually commanded by God? Not because God needs your money, He wants your heart. The purpose of tithing is to show that we are putting God first in our lives. In fact the more we allow God to be first in our lives the more God is able to come in, and bless us.
God wants to bless you! Not just spiritually but even financially. Yep, we said it. No, this isn't prosperity gospel where everyone gets a Cadillac-- this is a biblical truth! We are God's children and it is not God's desire for us to go through life suffering or barely making it by. God wants Christians to be wealthy and extravagantly generous to others in need. If you put God FIRST in your life, there is a promise and BLESSING that is released over you. Listen to this message and if you have any questions let us know!
God wants to bless us! Yes. He really does. This isn't a prosperity gospel, it's a promise God has for us as his children. In this message Pastor Jerry McKinney tells stories from his life and how God has favored him over the years-- all because he put God first! If you do the same, you will have a blessed life too!
Our Pastor (the guy in this video) honestly believes that when GOD is FIRST, your life will be at it's best. You'll be happier. Your marriage will be better. Things will thrive. It's not a get-rich-quick scheme or a motivational pep-talk, it's a biblical truth -- when we give God the first part of our morning in prayer, the first part of our week by going to church and the first part of our month by giving of money/ tithing, it opens up the windows of heaven over our lives. Even if you start small, give to God and see how he provides for you in your life.
Pastor Nick preaches about the importance of putting God first with your finances. If your not sure where you are spiritually in life, look at where your finances are going.

God forgives our sins and heals our sicknesses. In Mark 2, Jesus demonstrates this in a memorable encounter with a paralytic man. Encounter Him in this message and you too can go home healed and whole.

Bitterness. Now, that’s a big word. With the state of today’s world it can be easy to let an offense come in, like a seed in our hearts. When it grows, it can take our joy. But, God’s word has a remedy. When we allow it to lead us, it will navigate us through the tension, into peace and fulfillment. Today’s message will go into our hearts, like medicine for our souls. Take a deep breath, great days are ahead.
Hebrews 12:15 NLT - Watch out that no poisonous root of bitterness grows up to trouble you, corrupting many.
Genesis 4:4b-8 NLT - The LORD accepted Abel and his gift, but he did not accept Cain and his gift. This made Cain very angry, and he looked dejected. “Why are you so angry?” the LORD asked Cain. “Why do you look so dejected? You will be accepted if you do what is right. But if you refuse to do what is right, then watch out! Sin is crouching at the door, eager to control you. But you must subdue it and be its master.” One day Cain suggested to his brother, “Let’s go out into the fields.” And while they were in the field, Cain attacked his brother, Abel, and killed him.
Ephesians 4:27 MSG - Don’t go to bed angry. Don’t give the Devil that kind of foothold in your life.
Ephesians 4:27 AMP - “And do not give the devil an opportunity [to lead you into sin by holding a grudge, or nurturing anger, or harboring resentment, or cultivating bitterness].”
Ephesians 4:31-32 NIV - Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
Colossians 3:13 NLT - Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.
Ruth 1:8 NLT - “Don’t call me Naomi,” she responded. “Instead, call me Mara, for the Almighty has made life very bitter for me.”
Luke 23:34 ISV - Jesus kept saying, "Father, forgive them, because they don't know what they're doing."
Genesis 50:19-21 TLB - But Joseph told them, “Don’t be afraid of me. Am I God, to judge and punish you? As far as I am concerned, God turned into good what you meant for evil, for he brought me to this high position I have today so that I could save the lives of many people. No, don’t be afraid. Indeed, I myself will take care of you and your families.” And he spoke very kindly to them, reassuring them.

Have you ever enjoyed taking a test? Most of us would answer no. But, the reality is that life is filled with tests, today more than ever. Some tests are God’s tests, given for preparation, not punishment. His tests allow difficult circumstances, revealing what’s in our hearts so that He can lovingly correct us and set us up to have success. When life seems tough, God is working on our behalf. The Bible has a lot to say, let’s learn together.
Health checkups are important. They can help you be proactive in sustaining your wellbeing and alert you if something is off. Heart checkups are just as, if not more, important. With the state of the world’s culture, there has never been a better time to check our emotional and spiritual hearts for health. If we can get our hearts fixed, we can get our lives fixed. God’s word is the toolbox we need to remedy any ailment. This message with Pastor Jerry is like a spiritual doctors visit. Smile, you’re getting better already.
Is joy possible right now? How is God working in the world? What is God saying? One thing He’d say is that when God is first, life is at it’s best. God has a plan, He has answers to the questions of your heart and our world. Join in the conversation with Pastor Jerry and Gaby Abbott as they discuss these questions and more. Make sure you watch until the end for the big announcement.
What fear owns you today? Fear can limit you and hold you back from your destiny. But, it doesn’t need to be that way. God wants to help us defeat fear. He will help you to shut it out by meditating on the truth and focusing on who God created you to be. His power is in you. His love is for you. His thoughts can become your thoughts. In the end, when God is on your side, you will win. Do not be afraid, God is with you.
You were created to know God and follow Jesus. If you are following Him, you are going to learn you are loved and how to love others. Love gives, covers, sacrifices and always brings life. We all need to receive the words of this world-changing message so we can help reach into a hurting world with the healing power of God’s selfless, unconditional and healing love.
When you say yes to follow Jesus, everything changes. Your life has more meaning, your future has more hope. But, the journey isn’t meant to be just you and Jesus. God sets every Christian into a community of believers to do life with, to grow with and to learn with. This week we continue the series delving into our mission and what it looks like to be a part of an incredible, life-giving community by building a great church.
When God is first, life is at its best. This doesn’t just mean saying God is first. It means letting Him lead. Jesus wants to lead your life, meaning we need to follow Him. We need to surrender to Him. When our will confronts God’s will, we need to choose His way. Ask yourself, “are you surrendered? Are you teachable?” How you answer those questions will determine your future.
Have you ever been lost? Lost on a road trip? Lost in the airport? Lost in life? The easiest way to your destination is listening to someone who knows the way. Jesus has a purpose and a plan for your life. When we follow His plan, we’ll reach the destination. Join us for the first of four messages sharing the mission of City Church and the plan of God for everyone on the earth. Let’s learn to follow Jesus together. The journey might be tough, but He knows the way through it.
The Hope of Mercy
You were created for a relationship with God. In fact, every person on earth was created for that life-giving, life-altering connection. But, our shortcomings separate us from the ability to draw near to Him on our own. Don’t worry, there is hope. Mercy brings it. Mercy isn’t found in our own effort, hard work or striving for success. It is found in the person of Jesus, sent to earth to give us a bridge across the gap. God wants us to embrace that hope and share it with others. Take some time, in this message, to learn the simplicity of the lesson. You’ll never be the same.
What does “mercy” mean to you? The way you answer that question lines you up with God’s purpose for your life. Mercy withholds judgement. Mercy also gives unexpected kindness. The greatest joy on earth is the feeling of being used by God for a purpose greater than yourself. So, let’s learn and grow together.
Names are significant. They carry legacy, purpose, and meaning. God introduces himself as “mercy.” He is merciful and kind. God withholds what is deserved and gives unexpected kindness. God is waiting to give this and wanting us to receive it. Come and listen. It’s time to receive God’s refreshing.
You can triumph in tragedy. You can live a blessed life. Here’s the key, keep doing the right thing for a really long time. It’s not always easy, but with effort, your life will be blessed, and God will bring breakthrough. Don’t give up. Good is coming.
If God had a heart to heart moment with us, what would He say? The world is in a volatile place. But, our Father in heaven is not shaken. Two keys to learning, growing and healing is to listen well and walk in unity. Have a happy father’s day with the greatest Father of all, God Himself.
We need to talk. Racism is real. Your emotions are real. Join in on this raw, emotional and timely conversation as we learn together, heal together, grow together and find a solution together.
These are difficult days. With the world the way it is, many of us are weary. But, that isn’t the end of the story. Jesus gave us a solution, healing, and hope. Part of the solution is the power of unity, the strength of community and learning to build each other up. When we stay connected, we stay strong. Here is how.
Complaining is a thief. It steals our happiness. It takes our joy. Gratefulness, on the other hand, leads to life. Pastor Tami shares an amazing, memorable message on how to S.T.O.P. complaining and start living life to the fullest. S.M.I.L.E.S. are just around the corner :).
You have a great destiny. Your life is filled with a promising future. But, how do you get from the future promise to the actual destination? One of the greatest keys is in your mouth. Your words determine your future. Learn how to speak your way into your destiny. It's time to start winning.
Happy Mother’s Day! Be happy now. Be grateful now. Today’s message is about contentment. Learn to be content with whatever you have, whatever you face and whatever you are going through. It’s time for a life upgrade. Smile, the school of contentment is in session.
God is not hard to find. Pastor Jerry shares how the key to growing in your relationship with Jesus is learning to hear from and connect with the Holy Spirit. Learn to let God lead you into miracle opportunities, divine guidance and supernatural life change.
Stress. We all feel it. It can seem like we are losing in this unique season. However, it doesn’t have to be that way. Take a deep breath and get ready for peace.
God is working your life out for your good. We all go through seasons of life that are hard. We all go through times when things aren’t working out the way we want them to.
