Music: NECRO-POETRY IN THE STREETS Words: I want to say something I wanna say something profound Beautiful Meaningful Touching Something that will change your life, change your ways I donâ??t want to tell you how to get rich quick, how to win him back or give that perfect lay How to lose those last 5 or fifty pesky pounds Honestly I could only speculate those things Of course, even if I could give you the beauty secrets of the stars I wouldnâ??t bother Those things wonâ??t carry you far They have magazines for all of that And those secrets are as disposable as the medium they are produced in. Temporary words validating temporary idols, temporary stars temporary ideals Only fit for waiting rooms. I want to speak to my fellow man, my fellow Americans and everyone who feels displaced at this time of discord, hatred and confusion. I am tired of being dumbfound and listening in shock as CNN and Fox tell me we are on our way to hell. I believe that we are capable of good, capable of greatness, and these madmen and women who have told us they are in charge know so little of our potential. I believe in the best parts of humanity and I believe that if we take a breath and look around we can see each other for the decent human beings we can be. I would love to tell you that this road will be easy, that you will hear my words and awaken the desire to reach out. Change may be difficult, but it doesnâ??t need to be slow. My words may never reach you, but I need you to know that it will still be okay. There will always be prophets of doom who profit off telling you that you are alone in this world. We are connected now more than ever. You can hear me and have never met me, and this new reality should shine a light on how close we all are. Do not let these people dupe you. Let us drown them out and say â??no moreâ?? No more will we be told that the only way to succeed is to kill my brother, No more will I be fooled into believing that there is only one kind of human Or that decency has a certain color skin. We are scared, but we are not alone, and no single voice should be allowed to make us feel this way. This is unacceptable, and those who feed off your distrust should be cast into the abyss of disregard. WE should rise and tell them, â??You will not tell me who I cannot love.â?? Reunite with those who have different opinions, take a chance to listen, and I believe that maybe we arenâ??t so different. So instead of guarding your culture, share it. Instead of hiding your true face, wear it. Show your neighbor that the real you cries and laughs. See in them your ally and greatness TRUE greatness will show you that it has always been here. I have to tell you these things. I believe that there are like mind who want to help you save the day. I guess, thatâ??s all I have to say.
