Tonight's Club talk expresses the magnificent mercy and grace that God gives us. We also explore within ourselves and see what priorities we have been elevating due to our pride and selfish human nature. We read from the book of Daniel and see that God's plan is greater than our own and when we start making our own plan, he will correct us, one way or another.
Tonight's club talk tackles a problem that many people in today's society face: Routine. A lot of people get trapped in a mundane routine that they think is life. However, like Job teaches us, God has a plan for us no matter how broken or poor we think we are. Because the truth is, we have the richest inheritance we could ever imagine in heaven.
Tonight's Club talk is going to encourage us to not dwell on the past or the things that have already happened, and to focus more on the future and our ultimate calling. Rules and laws aren't the only thing that we need to follow and they might not even be as important as we think but we will explain more in this weeks episode of The Poolesville Younglife Podcast.
Today's club talk presents the idea of blind faith without having a plan. We want to be able to practice our vocational calling, successfully, in the way God has asked us to. Nobody knows the plan that God has for them but we still need to have faith that there is a plan and that it is for the greater good. Joseph was a prime example of this because throughout his unexpected trials, he was still able to have faith and never miss his mark to do what he thinks God would want him to do. Genesis 37-42
Today we will be discussing the importance of the single life that we have. We will explain and talk through the passage about the young rich ruler in the book of Matthew and how he couldn't rid himself of the things that he valued even if it meant having eternal life. Thanks for listening.
Kenzie Tredway talks about the love that God has for us using the parable of the lost sheep. She explains that no matter how lost we are and even if we don't know how lost we are, God will also search us out and will always welcome us back with open arms.
Club talk on January 15th for Poolesville Younglife. We are in the Gospel of Luke, reading form chapter 8:40-56. We will be discussing the power of faith and the ability and motivation that Jesus has to do anything, even past death, when he sees the faith we possess and show.
