So if we are attached to the things of this world, then the fruit that is produced is bitterness, resentment, lust, immorality, and quarreling. But if we are attached to Jesus, then the fruit of our life will be kindness, love, patience, and joy. Pastor Brad encourages us that this week we need to take a hard look at our life, and ask how we are living, and what we are producing.

However as believers, there is no reason for us to fear death, because death is not an end point. Death is a transition point.

So the question remains: Is prayer something you only do on occasion, or is prayer a centre piece of your life?

But we should be reading the Word of God with the mindset of applying those truths to our lives and really walking them out in every area of our life. Can God use my space? Can God use my life?". Because at the end of the day, God doesn't care about where the boat comes from, the history of the boat, the past brokenness of the boat, or the previous traumas of that boat, God just wants to know if He can use your boat. Ultimately, Jesus doesn't need your boat, but your boat needs Jesus.

Bud reminds us that people are not looking for fake Christians, but rather this world is looking for people who are willing to show a real Jesus to a real world that is hurting. In part two of this weeks message, Associate Pastor Jonathan Waddell teaches us about how to love others, and that often loving others goes opposite of how we feel or think. Because loving others means praying for those who hurt us, laying down our point to show them the love of God, and always being willing to open our home in hospitality.

He challenges us that the only way to fully know how to love others is to look at the model that Jesus modelled for us, after all, love is not what God does, it is who God is.
