Turtles are often the unintended victims of fishing activities, as they can get entangled in hooks, nets, or lines. This can cause serious injuries or even death for these endangered animals. Fortunately, there are some organizations that work to rescue and rewild turtles that have been harmed by fishing gear. They provide medical care, rehabilitation, and release programs for the turtles, as well as education and awareness campaigns for the public. By rescuing and rewilding turtles, they help to conserve these amazing creatures and their habitats.
The Indian giant squirrel (Ratufa indica) is a large arboreal rodent native to the Indian subcontinent. It is mainly herbivorous and feeds on fruits, nuts, seeds, bark, and resin. Captive born individuals may develop dental problems due to improper diet, lack of chewing materials, or genetic factors. The treatment of captive born Indian giant squirrel teeth involves regular examination, trimming, extraction, or root canal therapy depending on the severity of the condition. The treatment should be performed by a qualified veterinarian with experience in exotic animal dentistry.In this episode, we will learn how we rescued the Indian giant squirrel, a species that lives in the tropical forests of India.

This is the “Owl anthem”. Owls are undoubtedly the masters of the night skies.
The main performers of the nocturnal orchestra are the owls. They are accompanied by the cicadas, frogs, an occasional lapwing and the tireless nightjars. You will listen to the calls of Barn Owl, Spotted Owlet, Indian Scops Owl, Oriental Scops Owl, Mottled Wood Owl, Brown Wood Owl, Brown Hawk Owl & Indian Eagle Owl.
The anthem starts with the sounds of twilight as the reign of darkness begins. The night sounds slowly unfold themselves & take you to hypnotic secret world lit by Stars & Moonlight.
The anthem ends with the first musical whistle of the Malabar whistling Thrush at dawn.
Ela Foundation invites you to the composition of mystic, invisible world of the Owls as the moonbeam plays to their resonant hoots.
Owl anthem was first played at the inaugural function of the 6th World Owl Conference held at Pune, India by Ela Foundation & Savitribai Phule Pune University with Maharashtra State Forest Department and World Owl Organizing Committee.
