◆◆ "First of all, Romanian electronica is considered its own genre because of its very specific movements and ambient grooves which most other music doesn't have. No other genre of music that I've heard had such complex production methods where you can mix amazing bass grooves with minimalistic percussions/details, super organic sounds and elegant break-beat kicks which fit so perfectly together (and I've heard all from old school house to new deep techno and all in between). As far as Romania getting the title,it's mainly because they are the ones who took it to the next level,mind you this music is a form of micro-house/minimal that had been already in production for many years but on a very underground level - until Romania made it more popular (of course with the help of Ricardo Villalobos). The style of music really is something special,more intellectual in my opinion,because it takes a very trained ear to really understand it and enjoy it. For everyone whom is criticizing that it's only for druggies, this is very invalid information. Maybe the fact that it's so complex - it takes the average listener to take drugs in order to expand their mindset to listen and understand, but for those that get it, they do not need anything in order to enjoy such great abstract style of music." ◆◆

As one third of the Lisière Collectif, Andu Simion learned early and often how to take a dancefloor on a hypnotic, grooving journey throughout the night. ◉◉ Adrianho is a revered creator among the new generation romanian producers. Like many others, Adrianho's journey is fuelled with desire and a passion to express his feelings and emotions through his music, a journey which he embarked on back in 2003, having played all over the world since, from Moscow to Mexico, his passion for electronic music shines more than 20 years later. Born and raised in Romania, his fascination for sound paved a natural path towards his musical development and discovery and initially led him to play as a DJ in many countries around Europe. The broad variety of musical influences that characterise his background are translated into an eclectic spectrum of sonic vibrations, with his electrifying energy and fearless drive, welcomely perceived and loved by the dancefloor.
Despite his recognised focus over the years being primarily minimal, his seamless dexterity behind the decks together with his knowledge and extensive understanding of music across a range of genres, deliver infinitely eclectic journeys through his sets, whether is's microhouse, deep-house or experimenting with a playful fusion of tech house and classic house, he always delivers, raising the vibrations every time. Recent years have seen Adrianho taking things to another level, amongst becoming part of the globally respected Tzinah family group, he also created his own platform, teaming up with his close friend Daylomar, who shares the same immesurable passion for house music, together launching Hibit Records, with the intention to create a platform from which to release their music, and of course, that of new and emerging talented artists, on vinyl only. The label to this day presents consistently stunning works representing pristinely their own individual style, and features an impressive list of renowned artist remix duties including Vern, Djosh, Arapu, Vid and more.
Adrianho has also celebrated releases on a vast collective of impressive labels in addition to many of his own impressions on his Hibit Records/Hibit Black Outfit, including releases on Tzinah R ecords, Cyclic Records, Abartik, Honne Music and more. ◉ Sebastian Borca aka Verzila is a local electronic music producer and promoter, the one behind the well-known eponymous YouTube channel with the same name. Born in Sighetu Marmatiei, the northernmost point of Romania, he developed a passion for modern electronic dance rhythms from the age of 14, exploring numerous genres and subgenres. In time, he finds various flavors of house and techno to be the ones he resonates with the most and starts dedicating more and more attention to music. In February 2008 he created his YouTube channel, uploading tracks he liked from various artists, including friends and emerging talents. With a focus on deep house, tech house, microhouse, minimal and techno, the initiative enjoys massive success and receives support from many directions. Steadily, the venture becomes a solid promotion platform, currently counting over 102k subscribers, 55 million views and 5479 videos. A new chapter was written in May 2017 when he established Welter Records, an independent imprint aiming to offer more exposure to international and Romanian artists who find themselves at the beginning of their careers. With 200+ releases and 60+ podcasts until now. The second chapter was born in 2021 with the Inunct Music project label that is a free to download label with the purpose of spreading music for free and helping artists expose their vision through music. Currently Inunc Music has 20+ releases. When it comes to mixing he’s rarely seen behind the decks, playing only at a limited number of parties, mostly the ones organised with his long-time friend Mofescu through his party label Oscilatii.

Marius Moldoveanu a.k.a Boske was born in 1988 in a small town Focsani in Romania. Manéfiu, on his real name Iancu Marian, is originally from Sighisoara city, now established in Bucharest, as one of the founders of UMVU Agency, Hymnodist and Urband MIDI. Falling in love with electronic music from a very early age, his passion was accentuated by the fact that he had the opportunity to build professional speakers alongside his uncle, which were being tested with music from his portfolio. He got in touch with electronic music at 14 years old, crafting his first compilation from several soundtracks from an Ibiza documentary. Started his career playing it to his friend and afterwards playing music at their local parties. Over time, he discovered musical production but his focus was to perform at private events, festivals and abroad, having the opportunity to share the stage with names like Sepp, Cally, Cosmjn, Lizz, Mihai Pol, Macarie, Vlad Arapasu, Alejandro Fernandez, Petrutt, Lixir, in locations like Amsterdam, Bucharest, Brasov, Suceava, Sighisoara and more. Recently, his efforts have been concentrated on music productions aiming for some quality releases that will be available soon, including a vinyl record.

His music is a warm-hearted journey that brings together the new and the old, a combination of today’s ro-minimal with older influences of minimal-techno, techno, deep house and others. Alin’s first encounter with electronic underground took place back in 2007 when he was in high-school. After two years of partying and discovering the underground skirts of music, he finally decided to start DJing and got a residency at the famous Zebra Club back in his hometown of Bacau, a venue of great inspiration for him and also the place where Raresh launched his career just a few years before. Here is where he met and played alongside the rising duo of NoiDoi (Barac & Dubtil), another great source of inspiration for Alin. As time went by he moved to Bucharest and started a series of parties in different locations throughout the city like For Friends, LaMansarda and many more. Other alternative playgrounds for Alin are located deep in the heart of the Carpathians (Inside Bar in Busteni) or at the Black Sea Coast (Molotov in Vama Veche). All this time he was lucky enough to share the decks with the likes of Barac, Dubtil, Priku, Lumieux, Gescu, Nu Zau, Mihai Pol, Suolo, Tulbure, Dragutesku, Ali Nasser and connected with many other talented artists from which he learned a lot and is very grateful for meeting each and every one of them.

Heidelberg / Mannheim based artist Jan Golly is one of the shooting stars in the Frankfurt/Mannheim techno area. He was influenced by the HipHop movement in Heidelberg and by the Drum ´n Bass scene in Mannheim, which brought him to the turntables. After first bookings at local festivals or local clubs in 2011, Jan became part of mono recordings and played in the first bigger clubs like “Ritter Butzke” in Berlin or “Unter Tage” Koblenz. Also, his music style started to get influenced by friends and Romanian artists. In 2015 Jan Golly was signed as resident for the new club Parker Lewis in Mannheim. His vibrant and pushing minimalistic sound was perfectly fitting into the concept of the club and completed the resident team of Parker Lewis. At Parker Lewis he played alongside Rhadoo, Praslea, Vlad Caia, Cristi Cons, Dan Andrei and Herodot. At the end of the year 2015 and the beginning of 2016 Jan left his footsteps abroad and played for e. g. at Club EDEN and Guesthouse in Bucharest, Shanghai and Pescara (Italy). In this period, after eight years at the turntables, he even started to produce his own music. His first vinyl releases appeared on Valioso Recordings and KUSI Records. Since then he worked on further music productions and projects with other artists. He will start his own Record Label Kaleidoskop beginning 2019. Keep your eyes and ears open for more!

Naturally born and raised in Transylvania Romania with a lot of passion for music since I was a child in music school studying piano. Back in 2006 I decided to make my own music, and I bought a pair of Technics turntable and I start to learn how to become a dj. In the next year 2007 I moved to Jersey Channel Islands where I had the chance after few weeks to have my residency in one of the clubs there. When you meet an artist who says she enjoys 'heating up the dancefloor' at Watergate and other clubs she plays at, you know you're onto something really special here. Assal (her name means honey in Persian) is somebody who simply gives the impression that she's for real whilst communicating naturally via her music. Perhaps the heat that she speaks of is a literal translation of the well known and well loved (yet often overlooked these days) art of warming up in a club. It's usually an opening dj's job to gradually increase the energy and intensity in a room and it's this position of trust that she often finds herself in at the moment. Or, possibly, it's something way deeper and more acutely intuitive that's at the heart of her expression of warmth. Either way it describes her music perfectly. Recently she's played alongside Priku, Thomas Melchior, East End Dubs and Arapu to mention just few of the bigger house and techno names who have enjoyed working with her, receiving these well programmed and soulful sets of hers, leading effortlessly into theirs. Her selections maintain a core awareness and respect for house music's roots, echoing those earliest days of Chicago's home spun music yet woven masterfully within a liquid weirdness and trippy minimal groove that perhaps shows off her German upbringing.
You certainly get the idea that this particular selector spends hours alone crate digging, finding new records, ever eager to unearth essential gems in an earnest effort to bring new music to the world. Assal's parents moved to Frankfurt am Main from Persia during the Iranian revolution, allowing her access to German music and a new culture at a tender and impressionable age. Having already learnt piano, by the age of 10 her interests grew into other areas of music as she rejected her school work, instead developing an intense fascination and relationship with electronic music propelled by an awareness of events such as the annual Berlin Love Parade. She then began collecting magazines and cds obsessively as she grew up in the 90's, rapidly absorbing all she could in her newfound passion for all things electronica.
Now as she consolidates her burgeoning recording career to work alongside and naturally blend into her djing (she's recently completed a music production and engineering course at the highly regarded Funkhaus at Nalepastrasse in Berlin) you get the idea that as she works on her new productions now she's taking the same amount of care and passion that she spends on her live dj sets, with an awareness of space, soul, movement and energy and, yes, that ever present warmth and heat that she speaks of. Kirill was born in the south of Ukraine. He started listening to electronic music when he was quite young. Later he did the experiment in creating his music , but it was like a hobby until 2007. And, after a while, he considered that it was time for a serious action. At the beginning of 2008, his passion rapidly became a burning desire to learn how to play and produce his music, being influenced by the music coming out of Germany, Romania and UK. These sounds gave him a new direction where he has spent the last 10 years educating his ear and refining his approach to produce. Albert Hipman born in Milan - Italy, developed his real passion for music at the age of 14 when he bought his first vinyl. Brought up in London by a father who has an equal passion for music and vinyl records as Kirsty, from a young age it was naturally in her blood. "My best memory as a child was my dad showing me how to put a needle on a record". Kirsty learnt to play many instruments at school such as the violin, guitar and piano. Winner of Bucharest Dj Contest in 2012, Mihai Daniel is part of Caractere trio. Very skilled in music production, they had a great succes in 2014, when their vinyl released at Hypertone had a big support from many artists, for example Rhadoo opened his set at Dommune with one of the tracks on this release. Chazzy Chaz, on his real name A.Krisztian, started to play with the beats in 2007, working anonymously on projects in Oradea , a Romanian city near the Hungarian borders. Electronic music was and it is a simple passion for him since he was a small lad, nowadays trying to express his trippy thoughts and deep feelings into groovy rhythmic deep and minimalistic patterns. His first official release, since he built his sound, comes out in 2012 on Draft Label from Texas ,called "The movement" with 2 tracks. In 2013 a collaboration with his friend Adrianho brings him the second release on Mihai Popoviciu's Cyclic Records, a VA compilation for the label's one year anniversary… a track called "Crystal Clearings", a big impact and with great support by many appreciated artists back there. His technique of creating sounds and grooves grows and he signs with Tzinah Records, first on a VA "Tzinah Anul Trei Vol.1" and then with an EP with 2 brilliant remixes from Ilario Liburni and Hansel! a deep mark on his ambition and dreams. Dmitriy Polyakov is a Russian dj, based in Moscow. From 2002 he started to collect records in different genres, such as: hip- hop, psychedelic trance, house and techno music.
