In our world, Christianity has been reduced to a matter of personal, individual spirituality. But what did Jesus actually have in mind when he spoke about the kingdom of God? 2000 years ago he laid out a vision for the kingdom, the dream society that God always had in mind. It’s an upside down kingdom that is very different from the society around us. He is inviting you to be a part of that kingdom vision!

When Passover happened in Jesus’ day, the festival of the firstfruits took place in the same weekend. During this festival the Jews would celebrate the early barley harvest. The day of firstfruits is the very day when Jesus rose from the dead. In the New Testament, Jesus is described as the “the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.” In this message on Resurrection Sunday, Pastor Sebastiaan van Wessem connects the prophetic dots between the festival of the firstfruits and Jesus’ resurrection. Because he rose from the dead, there is a certain hope that we will rise from the dead!
Why is Good Friday Good? Good Friday is the moment when Christians commemorate the death of Jesus the Messiah. In this message, Ittyuel Khokhar will show how Good Friday is the fulfillment of the Biblical feast of Passover. Jesus is the perfect Passover lamb, and by his death on the cross he came our Savior and Redeemer.
On the Biblical calendar, there are three feasts that are lumped together: Passover, Unleavened Bread and Firstfruits. In this first message in a mini-series on these feasts, Pastor Sebastiaan van Wessem looks at the prophetic significance of the Festival of Unleavened Bread. After his triumphant entry into Jerusalem, Jesus went straight to the temple and wiped it clean from all the busyness that was not supposed to happen there.
