Real faith will change the way that you live. Jesus died on the cross so that He could bring you to life and change who we are completely. A faith that is real should flow out of our hearts and into the actions, words and works that we do. Everything about us should reflect the cross. Is your faith alive or dead?
The book of Haggai is about God confronting misplaced priorities and ways. The people of Israel have returned to their home land and began well. They began building the house of the Lord, but then life became difficult and they stopped. They busied themselves with their own lives and told themselves that it wasn't the right time to build the temple. God calls them out. We too can easily misplacing our priorities.
Christ died for all on the cross. All, not some, not the most good, not the poorest only but all people or all nations. We are to treat all people equally and give love to all. That is what Jesus did and does. James urges us to show no partiality.
Here Mark Sheldrake dives into James 1:19-27. In this life, with its trials and temptations, what are you going to do with the word of truth?
Temptations are a part of life. Where do they come from? What should we do when we face them? We have to endure and believe that God is good and only gives goodness to us.
We are diving into the book of James. Pastor Mark preaches on why James calls trials good and how God uses them to work in your life.
