Feet on the ground.

Intention for my day. Most days, but today especially. How are my toes? My heels? My ankles? My knees, my thighs, hips and chest? How is my heart feeling? My jaw, is it tight ? What about my brow? My eyes? What about my shoulders, are they by my ears? And my neck is it tense? Is my mouth pursed or relaxed? What in me is feeling soft and relaxed? Any part of me? How are my arms and fingers and wrists? And what about you and all parts of you? The inside of you, the outside, the visible and the invisible? All of your senses and your 6th sense too? What is being conveyed in this moment to you? Are your feet on the ground?

My boys are back to school today after almost 4 weeks at home for the holidays and pandemic measures. It’s lockdown in Montréal and the whole province of Quebec including a curfew for a month. Elementary school however is back on today. I’m feeling a lot. A lot related to motherhood, the pandemic, motherhood in a pandemic and the state of the world, friends and neighbours south of the border, friends and neighbours overseas and of course the state of the planet.

So today I am especially noticing where my feet are. Consciously getting more grounded, in my body and out of the mental chatter. Consciously spending the time to feel, to know, to wonder, connect and to ground. Always a process. In and out. Head to toes. Deep breaths. In and out. Feeling and then frozen and feeling again. Reaching out, pulling back in. Knowing what I need changes everything and that can take time. Grateful to know and grateful when I can reach for it and receive.

What do you need today to take care of you? Thinking of you. You who I know and you who I do not yet know. Peace.

I am here for you. Check out how I can support you (as a Certified Life Coach based in Montreal, Canada, a Certified Mentor Coach and Intuitive Consultant) in being present to yourself, your needs, your desires and and the impact you want to make.

Cheers.

For the first time publicly, Asha Frost, Indigenous Medicine Woman, Mentor and Visionary read out loud, publicly, her blog post that went viral earlier this year. ‘ Dear White Woman who wants to be like me’. Asha Frost shared the impact of sharing her letter and what actually happened when she spoke her truth and not everyone liked it. In Asha’s words, “I’m speaking my most vulnerable share of the year out loud, into a microphone. I haven’t practiced, I haven’t tried it out yet, I’m just asking my ancestors to surround me with the love and courage that they have planted into my cells. Speaking up, speaking louder, reclaiming my voice.”

Please listen and may you benefit and share with with those you know who will benefit too. Asha’s voice, is kind and powerful and healing and it is crucial that we listen. Thank you Asha and thank you listeners. Download Apple Podcasts

I’ve been moved by this word lately. I can feel its resonance. A lot. It’s grounding.

In a moment it connects me to others, heals feelings of disconnection or separateness. It inspires curiosity, a new perspective, and this other word; togetherness. I shared it on my podcast yesterday. I’m sharing it again so I can be reminded of it. How do you feel when you read this word or say it aloud? Wanna try it and share your thoughts about the frequency this word carries ? For you ?

Here’s to goodness. May it feed intention and action.

For more conversations that inspire goodness and share from the heart and to inform, educate and inspire check out my weekly live podcast with renown guests Julie in Conversation.

“I’m inspired by history. History is my only mentor.” Leesa Renee Hall.

Leesa Renee Hall brought her recognizable wisdom and candor to the conversation on Voices That Create Change, the podcast series. It was fun and illuminating and it was merely a light dusting of the depth Leesa carries and offers. Though ground was covered and we did touch on spiritual bypassing, white fragility, unpacking our unconscious biases, expressive writing and things in between. May your heart and mind benefit. .:

Leesa Renee Hall helps highly sensitive introverted leaders use the art of self-inquiry to question their unconscious biases so they create truly inclusive communities, companies, and corporations.

There were various threads running throughout the conversation including the power of questions to disarm and invite us back to ourselves to do our own individual work. As Leesa says “before you can transform others, you first need to transform you.”

Listen to the full conversation here. You’ll also find links to @leesareneehall’s invaluable articles that went viral fast, on white fragility, spiritual bypassing and unpacking our unconscious biases through writing. You’ll also find the link to her patreon community which holds pretty exceptional content. I’m a recent patron and the expressive writing prompts and topics are vast and deep and transformative. Check her out if you aren’t already.
