  • On Saturday, we went surfing, and I was very scared! The waves were huge! I was terrified of the big waves, so I did not go in the water. I stayed on the beach instead, sunbathing.

  • Let’s talk about the types of friends. Everybody needs friends in their life, but what makes a good friend? A true friend?

  • Some people say that the perfect friend is one that you can make fun of. Someone that you can joke with and laugh with. A good friend will be funny and can make you laugh.

  • A true friend is also someone that you can trust, and tell all your secrets to. A true friend is trustworthy and will not tell other people about your secrets.

  • A good friend is also helpful, and will be there for you when you are in trouble. A good friend will always be there for help!

What makes a bad friend?

  • A bad friend can annoy you, and do things which you don’t like. A bad friend can lie to you, which can hurt your feelings. No one likes lies, and therefore it is very important to be truthful, always say the truth.

  • You can have arguments with your friend, which is normal, but if you have a lot of arguments with your friend, then they might not be a good friend. Having arguments is stressful and it is better to not argue or fight.

· Good morning, today we are going to be talking about sports, using comparative adjectives. Listen and pause whenever necessary to answer the questions. You can listen as many times as you want. Should you need ,there is also a transcript available.

  • A personal opinion, but I think football is better than basketball. Football is more entertaining, and there is a lot more going on. There are also more football fans than basketball fans, although basketball in America is a very popular sport. Football is more popular in England than basketball, but there are people who watch NBA online.

  • I’ve never really been a fan of golf, but I think that golf is much harder than tennis. In golf, you need more concentration, and you must stay very still. Tennis requires more energy, as you are constantly running for the ball. However, I think golf requires more skills, and is therefore harder to play than tennis.

  • One of my favourite sports as a child was horse riding. I preferred horse-riding to team sports we played in school, such as netball. Netball is worse than horse- riding because you have to play in a team. Playing in a team is more competitive, and sometimes the game gets violent. Horse riding is more peaceful than netball, and I liked it a lot as a child.

  • Surfing is a very hard sport. You have to balance on a wave, but this takes a long time to learn. Surfing is more fun than just swimming, there is more action and its more entertaining. Surfing is also harder than swimming and it is more tiring.

  • My favourite weekend activity is cycling. I think cycling is easier than running, and it is more enjoyable. You can also go further in distance than in running and you can go faster. I also find that running is sometimes more boring because you cannot go as fast. I definitely prefer cycling to running, but both are very good forms of exercise.
