A podcast detailing the speculative philosophy of Brutus; classical liberalism negotiates with big picture realism in this plain-spoken, non-scientific, non-academic overview of the current human condition. This podcast merely reflects one man's opinion, which is to be understood to be subject to change given new evidence. It should be approached with that grain of salt in mind.
Magic: the Science of Religion
If you take Jung seriously, as I do, then you understand that the substrate is psychological. Given the nature of the substrate, if you can manipulate individual and mass psychology, then you can effectively change the experience of phenomena, which is our world. Magic is, first and foremost, the study of this as an art and a science.
The Feudal System
The Feudal system is based on the hoarding of knowledge - especially magical knowledge. In the Middle Ages, the religious establishment hoarded all knowledge, both magical and otherwise. Once the Western civilization reached the point at which it required a higher level of sophistication to continue to expand, then certain kinds of knowledge came into the vulgate - specifically literacy, mathematics, and modern philosophy (which is the basis of modern science). However, magical knowledge was and is still hoarded, and it continues to be used to control individuals, groups, and society as a whole.
Babylon
This feudal system is nothing new. It involves a class-based stratified social order that helps the powerful retain control through a hierarchical system. We see the same system going back to Egypt and Babylon. In Biblical parlance, this system is referred to, generally, as "Babylon." It is a violation of our dignity as human beings to be subject to such a system. This system must end.
Bill Cooper
Bill Cooper was a Christian traditionalist who became an expert on the magical establishment. He shared what he found with his audience. He died by the gun. I suspect that this was an assassination. Whereas, in Texas, the revolution was galvanized by the Alamo, the next global revolution may be galvanized by William Cooper.

Creation Versus Control
This episode covers the dichotomy between creation and control in Heideggerian terms. This idea is the fundamental concept; it underlies all conscious activity, especially ethical and religious activity.
Creativity
Creativity is an orientation towards generating a new way of casting the radical other.
Control
Control is an orientation towards leveraging and holding onto that which has been established by a previously created frame of reference.
Examples
Examples cited in this podcast include the biblical examples of the Old Testament doctrines of law and jubilee, Satan as portrayed in Job, and Jesus Christ. It also includes the general example of government, which is necessarily a control-oriented activity. Governments are always doomed to failure, because control is always oriented towards that which is in a state of decay. As that which is controlled decays, that which orientates itself to control it must inevitably fail.
