The drama follows pushover junior stockbroker, Yook Dong Sik who believes he's a psychotic serial killer since he is in possession of the killer's diary when he is hit by a car and loses his memory. Doo Young, former national athlete, suffers a Judo accident that leaves him blind. As he struggles to navigate his new world his estranged older brother, Doo Shik, is released from jail and shows up to shake things up. Doo Shik has no intention of sticking around and starts taking advantage of his younger brother's disability payments. This all changes when Doo Shik receives a cancer diagnosis. After hearing he only has a couple months to live he decides to spend his remaining time helping Doo Young become more self sufficient.

Kwon Yoo your typical gamer is living his best gamer life when he's wrongly tried and convicted for the rape and murder of an underage girl. Young Jin Seon Min meets the Great Sage Son Oh Gong while on an errand, and the two make a contract which states that if Jin Seon Min frees Son Oh Gong from his prison, he will protect her whenever she calls for him. However, after being freed from his prison, Son Oh Gong takes the memory of his name from her, so she cannot call for him. Healer is forced to make a false confession to Park Dong Cheol's death when the Elder's thugs kidnap Moon Ho and Yeong Sin. He's told to join Elder or his confession will be sent to the police, Healer refuses to give in so easily and instead goes into hiding while he and Ahjumma try to find Park Dong Cheol's true killer to clear his name. In order to try and trap him, Elder's hackers place a trap for Ahjumma, who almost gets caught; this is the last straw for Healer who decides to stop hiding and devices a plan to get back at the Elder.

Healer and Yeong Sin help Ahjumma hack into the police station's servers before they switch to internal servers. They also successfully reveal Detective Yoon's underling detective's involvement in the death of Teacher under Secretary Oh's instruction. Both are arrested after Healer lays out all the condemning evidence at the detective's apartment. Teacher saves Healer from being kidnapped by Double S by posing as Healer. He's taken to Double S HQ where Moon Sik arrives to see him, their reunion is interrupted when Detective Yoon arrives and takes Teacher into custody.
Meanwhile, Yeong Sin is led to the unconscious Healer by Ahjumma; she calls an ambulance and stays with him at the hospital. She becomes suspicious of what Bong Soo would be doing to get himself injured the way he did and eventually realizes he's Healer. She confirms it when she returns to his room to find him getting ready to slip away with Minion.
Later Ahjumma realizes that one of the detectives on Yoon's team are working with Secretary Oh. Her realization is too late as by the time Healer arrives to the police station, Teacher's body is already being wheeled out by an EMT crew. He does, however, manage to give Detective Yoon some very important information regarding Moon Sik and leave Healer a coded message in his interrogation tape before dying.

After appearing as himself, Moon Shik's suspicion that Healer is related to Joon Seok grows, causing him to set a trap to catch Healer. During his visit to Moon Shik's house, Healer learns that Young Shin is actually Ji An, causing him to lose trust in Moon Ho, who told him Ji An was dead. Healer is forced to reveal that he's been posing as Bong Soo to Moon Ho, who in turn tells Healer all about his dad and all the shady things surrounding his and Gil Han's deaths. So a budding bromance between Healer and Moon Ho blooms.
The next day Moon Ho takes Bong Soo on a special assignment, where he begins filling him in more about his dad, Gil Han, and Moon Sik. Meanwhile, Detective Yoon corners Yeong Sin to try and get more information about Healer from her and warn her that he suspects that Healer might've murdered President Hwang and staged it as a suicide to clear himself as a murder suspect. Yeong Sin is shook but refuses to believe that Healer is a murderer, she instead emails him to request they go on a date.
Ahjumma, who receives this email eventually tells Healer and he immediately accepts and so he meets Yeong Sin for a socially-distant movie night after the theatre has closed, making sure she can't see him. Despite this awkwardness, they leave feeling content and Healer tells Ahjumma that he wants to clear his father's name so he can swoop Yeong Sin off to his future island and live happily ever after with her.

Young Shin, Healer, Moon Ho, and the whole of Someday News cause problems for the Elder by crashing Assemblyman Kim's press conference and asking about the sexual assault allegations against him.
Everything is good for our leads, but Moon Shik faces trouble as Elder decides it's time to get rid of Assemblyman Kim and make him the next Mayoral candidate instead.
Meanwhile, Teacher finally shows up to speak with Healer and tells him about his father as well as the rest of the Illegal Broadcast Crew in their picture, which leads to Healer breaking into Moon Ho's house to find out more. However, Moon Ho also comes close to finding Healer's secret when he finds the phone Young Shin lost in her elevator accident in Park Bong Soo's coat pocket.

After hearing Myung Hee call him by his father's name, Healer becomes even more determined to figure out more about the Illegal Broadcasting crew. However, the incident only makes Moon Shik suspicious, which leads to Secretary Oh attempting to kill Young Shin and disguising it as an elevator accident. Healer is forced to skip his birthday party with Teacher in order to save Young Shin from dying.
Meanwhile, Moon Ho's hoobae starts working at Someday as Moon Shik ordered, but he tells Moon Ho about his being a spy.

Moon Ho sells all his stock in order to buy Someday News so that he can report the things he wants without being censored by anyone. He immediately instructs everyone at Someday to begin digging into Assemblyman Kim and his accomplice, Hwang Jae Kook. Yeong Shin begins receiving special classes by Moon Ho to improve her interview skills as she will be attending the press conference where the assemblyman will announce his mayoral campaign.
In the meantime, Healer breaks into Moon Sik's house and threatens him with exposing the contents of the video Moon Sik hired him to retrieve. On his way out, Healer runs into Myung Hee who mistakes him for his dead father, which scares Moon Sik even more.

Moon Ho tests the waters to see if his sister-in-law, Myung Hee, would be able to handle knowing that the daughter that she presumed dead for 20 years is in fact still living. It does not go well. Tensions between the Moon Bros. are high as Moon Ho suspects his brother knew that Ji An was alive the whole time, he confronts him about it but does not get a straight answer.
Meanwhile, Healer is becoming more fascinated with Yeong Shin the more he spends time with her as Bong Soo despite thinking she's bait. Ahjumma is concerned that he's become distracted and will soon become a liability as Healer, so she contacts his Teacher to ask what she should do with Healer.

Healer continues to stay close to Young Shin as Park Bong Soo despite Ahjummah insisting he lie low for a while. After getting drunk at a company dinner, Young Shin writes an article about Assemblyman Kim receiving sexual favors and publishes it. This causes chaos to erupt.
Moon Ho approaches Young Shin asking her to give the article to him so that it won't die down. Moon Sik promises Assemblyman Kim and President Hwang that they'll bury the story and nothing will happen. He also sends Double S after Young Shin to try to find the actress who told her about the sexual favors.
