Anger, isolation, suppression, depression- these are all words I compared to the word 'pain'. If you're anything like me, I never knew pain could be handled well and that those words didn't have to be the wheels that drove the car. When that happens we tend to be very poor drivers and will eventually run off of a cliff.

No matter the pain- childhood pet passing away or a divorce that you didn't expect, a lost job or a lost loved one, a joke gone to far or never being told I love you enough- pain is pain, and no pain feels good. Here on the last episode of the Space Between we talk with pastor, author, and leader Adam Hicks as he explains that pain is inevitable. That your pain can force you to grow bitter or better. That you can either let your pain waste away your life or live a life where your pain is not wasted.

What happens when you get married and your sex life isn’t the 24/7 love fest you thought it was going to be? Rom-Coms and Nicholas Sparks movies have given us only 1% of what sex (especially God’s way) is and should be. So, let’s talk about sex.

"Influencer" has become a word that is on the verge of losing its value. In our social media age we've connoted influence with followers on Instagram. Though, influence can come with a following-everyone has influence. However, what we always see on social media isn't always the case. Savannah McKinley joins me as we talk about finding identity, purpose, and not falling in love with the shiny objects of what comes with influence.

Guest: Megan Oliver - It's funny how a relationship, whether dating or married, can feel like a battle rather than a team effort.  For some of us it's because we're speaking the same language but we don't hear each other so communication is non-existent.  For some it's the fact that though we may be in a relationship with each other we're alone because we've isolated ourselves from accountability and friendships. However, for a lot of us it's because we simply don't know how to 'fight fair, because it's a good thing that grows the two of you when you know HOW to do it.   Whatever the struggle, today the "Battle of the Sexes" games we've been playing turns into a "Teamwork makes the dream work" mentality. I have the perfect person to help me open up this can of worms as well so strap in for this episode of The Space Between.

It’s time to break the stigma that playing girls like you play video games is okay. Whoever made that cool has left the building.

However, what happens when you’re hitting your 20’s, 30’s, and 40’s? Who do you have holding you accountable? How are you trying to grow, or are you even trying to grow? What happens when you’re tired of living the bachelor life but all you’ve known for 10 years is that and now you’re in your 30’s trying to pick up the pieces?•

Let’s get real. Not from a place of mastery and having it figured out, but rather from a place of trying to figure it out together.
