Welcome to our platica. It has been a long time since we congregated in each other's presence, and we could not be more happier to be back with you all. This episode covers love and the different ways that love flows in and out of our lives, and like love, loss also ebbs and flows. We talk about our love language, and the ways love and loss manifests in our relationships with our friends, our children, and ourselves. We also took the time  celebrate 14 years of friendship, as we acknowledged the love and loss journey we made together.

We hope you enjoy your journey with us.

Hi Again, Brujx!

In this episode we check-in with ourselves and discuss how hectic life became for us since we began this journey during monsoon season! We reflect about coming full circle thanks to our listeners, guests, and supporters! And of course, with the presidential election looming, we discuss burnout, exhaustion, voter suppression, and sexism. Thank you all so much for your support and encouragement for this humble DIY project.

Until next time,

  • Tiffany & Michelle

In this episode (The MotherHOOD 2.0), we cover another aspect of parenting that is part of the constellation of experiences we aim to highlight in our MotherHOOD series. Meet Alexei, who brings a wealth of knowledge about public education and a wealth of experiential and sacred knowledge as a mother homeschooling 3 children with different needs and at various stages in their development. This episode sheds light on critical issues parents and children are facing right now in light of COVID-19 (such as issues of access) but we also shared some much needed laughs and vented! Thank you Alexei for this sacred platica and venting session 🖤

In this episode Michelle hosts Emma and both get vulnerable about their own personal journeys in their respective heterosexual relationships.  Emma is a fierce Salvadorian and Mexican mujer, resilient, doting mama of 3, partner of almost two decades to the love of her life, and a thoughtful kind friend. Pregnant at 17, Emma wanted to love and co-parent with her partner Zeke in a way that was not always modeled for her in the hood, healing from intergenerational and historical trauma. Today, that little baby is in college and Emma's relationship has blossomed into 3 beautiful children. Emma talks about how love changes with the stages of your life/parenthood and with Covid-19. We also discuss the taboos of therapy and social work interventions among Latinx hetero couples. We wanted to celebrate her and Zeke's love story while also contending with the complexities of long-term relationships, the light and dark magic of unconditional love, and the heartache that is relatable to many at this time.
