What happens when life begins to feel flat, muted, or disconnected from the magic you once felt so easily?
After spending four full weeks in the forest, I found myself reflecting on trust, inner wisdom, creative flow, and the ways we reconnect with what makes us feel alive.
In this episode of the Luminary Life Podcast, I share the messages that emerged through time in nature, the copper and heart-shaped stones that kept appearing on my walks, and the deeper invitation I feel they are carrying.
Copper has long spoken to me about amplifying our light in the world. This summer, its message has expanded:

It’s been a little while since we last connected, and I hope you’ve had a beautiful summer and are easing into the rhythms of fall.
The last time I reached out, I shared my intention to embrace a summer slowdown. Little did I know that this period of rest and reflection would gently spill into fall. As I leaned fully into this slower pace, I realized just how much my body, mind, and spirit needed it. Sometimes, we don’t see how disconnected we’ve become from ourselves, from life, and from the mystery until we create space to simply be.
This time of deep rest reawakened my creative energy. My dreamtime became vivid and full of life once again, and I began to feel a renewed sense of everyday magic that had been quietly waiting for me to notice. Slowing down has been a gift for my soul, reminding me of the beauty in living at a gentler pace.
I’m excited to share that today, a new episode of the Meet Me in Sacred Space podcast is live! I’ll also be launching a new series starting this Sunday, diving deeper into topics I know you'll love.
Thank you for your patience and for holding space during this quieter season.

Welcome 2024 and Happy New Year, my friend.
I feel like I've had my eye on this year for quite some time. It may be because twenty-four is my favorite number, but I also have a sense that this is a collectively significant year. It feels like energy will be moving forward in unexpected ways.
As I have been attuning to the energy, the crystals and stones have had a lot to say -- revealing deeper insights into the the themes and messages from collective crystal and stone allies for 2024.
Clear Quartz and Selenite are the 2024 crystal allies for the year. They offer a vibrant light energy that activates our inner light and supports us in anchoring our light here on the earth. They also create a clear channel of energy that connects us with both the Divine and Earth energies. As we attune to their energy they invite us to sink into the winter energy of reflection and dreaming. They will help clear away noise and distractions so that we may slow down and attune to our own voice of inner wisdom and knowing. They will prepare us for planting crystal clear seeds of intention in the spring season.

The robins woke me up as they broke into song at 3:48am this morning . . . a little early, but sweet way to begin this solstice day.
So with the early morning wake up, I decided to pop outside and create a Summer Solstice Nature Meditation video to share with you.

Over the weekend, Chris, Koda, and I hit the road. Our little adventure was filled with insights and surprising opportunities. Along the way, we met up with online friends, reflected on our love for travel, and dreamed.
I have long felt like travel is a wonderful opportunity for a restful reset and reconnection. This short roadtrip definitely checked all of our boxes and added a couple more.

Jewelry is obviously one of my favorite ways to work with crystals and stones. It is something I stumbled upon shortly after being attuned to Reiki in 2004 (goodness that feels like a long time ago). I created a simple rose quartz necklace and wore it constantly. People at work began asking about it. Intrigued, they asked me to create pieces for them. This opened an unexpected and delightful pathway in my life.
Crystal adornments are powerful talisman. When we wear them and work with them, new possibilities emerge.
I have seen this time and again . . . not only for myself, but also for my customers and clients.
Crystals connect us with the earth. They reconnect us with ourselves. They open our hearts to new possibilities. And they bring us into alignment with life.

Happy Full Moon!
Today we mark the first full moon of 2023. It's a BIG one!
This is a great time to release what is complete from last year (or maybe even other times in life). You can do this with both the energetic and the physical stuff. Letting stuff go creates space . . . to breathe, to welcome new people, opportunities, and experiences, and to simply BE.
Not sure where to start?
I always feel like life supports us in natural ways, lighting up the places and spaces where we've been holding tightly to things that have passed their time.
As we crossed the threshold into the new year I found myself digging into the far corners of closets and cleaning them out. That led to me to unraveling some old stories and along the way my husband joined in by clearing out some of his own clutter.
Black Tourmaline is showing up as the crystal of the month for January. This potent ally has a lot to say about keeping our space and energy fresh and shiny. I felt like it was helping me out with all of my house cleaning, rearranging, and letting go.
While this week's episode goes in a bit of a different direction, I do share each of the 2023 monthly crystal allies. These allies are pretty amazing and I'm so happy they are lighting the way for us this year. I look forward to hearing your stories and experiences along the way.

My studio has been buzzing with creative energy for the past couple weeks. I have been busy creating new pieces of jewelry and filming videos for the Foundations of Ceremony class. It has been so much fun! And my house is a delightful creative mess. Haha.
There once was a time when this messy part of the creative process really bugged me. But over the years, as I have come to understand creative cycles and rhythms, I recognize this 'messy phase' as an essential part of sacred creation. Energy expands and contracts. Things fall apart and come back together. New inspiration lands. And then, as if overnight, creations emerge and everything is tidied up again.
Yesterday was that day. I put the finishing touches on a handful of new necklaces and released the final ceremony class. Last night, class wrapped up with a super sweet and rich q+a call. And Chris arrived home in perfect timing to close the day with a bit of conversation and celebration.
Ahh yes . . . lots of happy heart feelings this morning. It feels like such a gift to share the art of ceremony with a dynamic group. And I just love seeing my studio filled with beautiful new adornments ready to be shared.

Ceremony is the soulful and sacred medicine we need in the world right now.

Throughout the summer, little bits of copper showed up on the road and driveway. Each time I would reach down to pick the found piece up, I would hear the message: Amplify your light.
I found this interesting because I was struggling with a boundary issue. I wanted a solution for that. It took me a bit to realize that actually was the solution I was in search of.
Boundaries and protection have many layers. Some layers are more obvious than others. As we work with them intimately, we begin to understand their dance and the importance of letting our light shine.

This summer marks a significant milestone for both Chris and I.
10 years ago we went on a camping trip to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. It's a beautiful spot on the Lake Superior shoreline . . . and a spot that activated a new pathway in our lives.
At the time it was an amazing trip, it felt like something magical happened, but I'm pretty sure neither of us would have anticipated the ways that trip would shift the direction of our lives.
I think each of us have such moments and experiences where suddenly we know ourselves differently or perhaps we see life differently.
Sometimes we immediately recognize the shifts or changes they make in our lives. Other times it may take a decade to recognize the full ripple ;-)
The ripple from that trip has been profound. This summer I have found myself being called to reflect upon many experiences from that summer. A lot happened. Life changed direction.
Small steps = Big leaps.
I made small changes that year. I see now how those small changes created space for some pretty cool things.
Milestones and Soul Anniversaries are important to honor and celebrate. Chris and I have been doing this a lot this summer. It's been fun, magical, and soul nourishing.

"How good are you willing to feel?"
This is not always an easy question to answer . . . especially during times when life feels quite the opposite of good.
In a recent interview with Dr. Vanessa Sage, she shared that this is one of the most important questions we can ask ourselves at this time.
As we sank into this soulful conversation I felt this question (that I've previously heard and said many times) in a new way. Something about it landed.
I think I had previously always focused on the word good, but in that moment I felt the significance of the word feel. It reverberated throughout my body . . . reminding me to be in my body, to honor it, and to feel good within it.
Throughout our conversation, Vanessa shared how this question has been a lighthouse for her over the years. She also shared how, in a recent journey deep within, this question not only reignited her passion life, but created a deep experiential understanding of what it means to be of service and live the mystery.

This past week was busy. Very busy. I found myself immersed in both expected and unexpected projects while trying to gracefully navigate the mixed emotions that popped up along the way.
That was not always easy.
One of the unexpected bits that happened last week was that we had to have a tree taken down. Letting it go was emotional for me.
As I leaned into the emotions, I found myself called to journey and connect with the tree in that way. It was powerful. The tree had a lot to share. The surrounding plants had a lot to share. Spirit had a lot to share. And the process of having that tree removed, with reverence, unfolded in magical ways (I share more of this story in this week's podcast episode).
Our relationship with nature is important. It is a point of connection to the rhythm of life, to our inner worlds, and to Spirit.

I am definitely feeling the spring vibes this weekend.
The sun has been bright. Chris and I dug into our list of garden projects. And we headed out for a little nature adventure at a new to us spot (I'll share a bit more about this trip in the coming weeks).

Today we officially arrive at the midpoint of the Spring Season.
This is such a sweet time. It's the time in which we really begin to see and feel the awakening and renewal that comes with the spring season.
Between yesterday's new moon, the partial solar eclipse, and today's season midpoint, this is a great time to get outside and spend some quality time in nature.
Over the past week Koda and I did just that. We went camping. The weather was a bit chilly, but the camper was cozy. The trails were dry and the beach was empty and it felt like we had the entire park to ourselves. We roamed the forest listening to the spring peepers, watching the birds begin to nest, and Koda lit up when I gave her a bit of off leash play time . . . she even went for a dip in Lake Michigan.
This little getaway was just the soul food I was needing.
Life get's busy. During busy times it can feel difficult to step back for a little nature time. The thing is, taking restorative time is exactly what helps us return to ourselves so that we can be fully present in our day to day lives.

Change is beautiful. As we receive the gifts from what is complete, we create space for what is being created. This is the final episode of the Crystal Shaman Life podcast. But don't worry . . . the podcast is evolving. It is my hope that you will come to know and love the new podcast name: Meet Me in Sacred Space.

Chris, Koda, and I spent the weekend in the north woods. Oh my, we had a blast!
This was different way for us to greet the spring equinox. We usually hang at home or travel south where we can enjoy some warmer temperatures. North was never really on our radar before. But after last summer in the forest, I've been eager to get back . . . even if only for a hike down the road to catch a glimpse of the lake and our land.
With several feet of snow still covering the ground, that's about all we were able to manage. But let me tell you, it was worth it!
This little weekend getaway was the refresh we needed. We laughed. Connected. Ate fun foods. Met new people. Bumped into local friends. Hiked. Dreamed. And laughed some more.

There is much happening in the world. Much that saddens my heart, triggers a bit of fear, and leaves me feeling sincerely concerned about our future. I think many of us can relate to feeling this way at some point over the past couple years as we have experienced many significant events. Some closer to home than others.
Change does not always unfold with ease. It is often met with great challenge. As changing times reveal all facets of humanity it is natural for strong emotions to arise. They can be consuming, startling, unexplainable, and even isolating.
Much of what we feel during these times is compounded by the collective energy and emotions that need sacred space to flow and heal . . . emotions that have been buried deep and previously unprocessed.
As events in the Ukraine unfolded last week I felt a lot and I began asking what I can do, how I can help.
The answer was two-fold. First the Prayer of St. Francis echoed through my thoughts. Next, I heard: Hold Space.
Sounds simple, right?! It is. Yet, in its simplicity it is one of the most powerful things we can do in the midst of changing times. It is POWERFUL beyond measure.
Holding space allows dense energy and emotion to be processed and transmuted so that courage, clarity, wisdom (true wisdom), right action, hope, and possibility are able to emerge.
While we all experience these changing times in unique ways, this is one thing we can all do . . . light a candle, burn some incense, and sink into sacred space. Get rooted. Open our hearts. Pray. And invite love and peace into our hearts.

I spent the weekend getting creative.
I participated in a five day workshop to create a personal oracle deck. It's been a wonderful way to break out of my routine and and sink into a little creative exploration.
A day of creative spiritual play was incredibly nourishing.
Oracle cards are a wonderful way to connect with our inner wisdom.
I got a little giggle as I sat down to write this message and realized the thread of connection with this week's podcast episode. It is all about Practices for Tuning into Your Voice of Inner Wisdom.
How perfect?!
Your voice of inner wisdom is an incredible ally. Finding ways to tune in and listen with love, compassion, and clarity is important as we move through these changing times.
While oracle cards were not on the list of suggestion in this episode, they clearly wanted to be mentioned in this message . . . along with a gentle reminder that you are likely already working with many fantastic practices for listening within.
Accessing our inner voice is multifaceted. It grows and deepens as we open our hearts to new ways of spending time with self.

Chris and I had a pretty social weekend. We spent time with friends and checked out the local rv and camping show.
It's been quite a bit since I've been to such a big event. We've laid low and been very selective about being among large groups or crowds. This weekend, it felt good to be out a bit. We went early, moved through the show quickly, and came across a couple new items we are eager to put to use this summer.
Being out, at the camping show also did something else, it awakened new ideas and inspired fresh possibilities for our land.
It got us dreaming, together.
Breaking out of routine. Doing something different. Exploring our passions and interests . . . this is how we push pause on the busyness of our day to day lives and reconnect with our most authentic self.
This is one of the ways we cultivate the courage to live in alignment with our own unique expression.
This looks and feels different for each of us.
As I tuned into the message for this week I heard the phrase "it is time for you to do you" echo in my thoughts. Back in December one of my mentors shared this on a group call. It landed. Deeply.
At the time I could feel it light me up with a sense of curiosity about how I could more wholly share myself with life. You doing you happens in the small ways. It's giving yourself space to dream, imagine, and take inspired action. It's opening your heart to possibilities you once ignored. It's breaking free of the ways you've been put in (or put yourself into) a box of expectation.
This is the invitation of these changing times.

Winter is a wonderfully quiet time. I appreciate its softness and stillness.
It is in the quiet of winter that I feel nearest to my voice of inner wisdom and knowing. It is a time when I love to curl up with a cup of tea and a journal and just let the words flow.
It is also a time when my emotions feel near the surface, a time when my journal is a sacred space for them to be expressed and honored.
But as we near the midpoint of the season I begin to feel eager for signs of spring. I feel a sense of readiness for the light and life it brings.
Last week Chris and I spotted something unusual in our chestnut tree . . . Robins. Three of them. Chattering away, they feasted as they flew back and forth to gather fruit from our flowering crab.
Their song was so happy and light; a very early sign of spring.
Maybe they chose to winter in the area, maybe they are on a little different migration cycle, or perhaps they are popping in as a sign that new life is emerging, soon. It's been a week and they are still here. I'm listening.
When we dive deep, we can sometimes forget that spring is just around the corner . . . it may be eight weeks away, but perhaps the essence or energy is already here, perhaps we are being invited to emerge sooner than expected. ;-)

Today I have been sitting in reflection with rhodochrosite (the January crystal of the month) and the essence of love.
I've been considering both the beauty and the challenge of this 'many splendored thing' . . . considering both the moments and experiences when it is easy to love and it flows through every breath as well as those times when my capacity to love feels challenged.
I think if we are really real with ourselves, we can relate to this multifaceted experience of love.
As I sat down with a strand of rhodochrosite, it invited me to put on a bit of rose essential oil and and to reflect upon how a blooming rose also has a stem filled with thorns.
Part of allowing ourselves to bloom with a loving heart is allowing ourselves to be fully present with the emotions represented by the thorns.
Consider the more uncomfortable experiences of your day to day life. Challenging conversations. Difficult moments. Unexpected changes. Painful losses. Disruptive news.
These experiences stir our emotions. They invite us to feel, deeply. The challenge is that our deeper emotions are not always the most favorable emotions so we attempt to shut them down and tuck them away.
Today, as I sat Rhodochrosite (and my own uncomfortable emotions), it suggested that when we allow ourselves to be present with the discomfort of our emotions and allow them to flow, we discover connection rather than separation . . . and this is the pathway to loving courageously, loving compassionately, and loving unconditionally.
I felt so much happiness in my heart when Danburite showed up as the 2022 Crystal of the Year.
This soft pink, light filled, gentle crystal is a pretty powerful ally.
Over the past week I spent a bit of time connecting with this beauty and tuning into its message.
Danburite took me on quite the interesting journey as it reminded me of our first meeting. We met back in 2015 when a friend and I took a day trip from Sedona to Jerome. It was a pretty wild and wacky adventure . . . one I don't believe I will ever forget.
I did not realize it at the time, but Danburite showed up as an incredible ally on that day. It helped me to not only receive one of my healing gifts, but to share this gift with my friend.
This is a big part of the magic of Danburite . . . it helps us to embody our unique gifts and to courageously share them with others.
What a great ally for the year?
Danburite is most definitely showing up to support us in not only embodying our unique gifts, but in sharing them in personal, heartfelt, and meaningful ways.

As we crossed the threshold into the New Year I did ceremony . . . lots and lots of ceremony. It is such a potent way to honor new beginnings and welcome this new year.
On the winter solstice many of you joined me for the annual crystal forecast. It was such a beautiful evening. My heart was happy as the 2022 crystal allies came forward with so much love and vibrancy.
In the coming year we can expect to be supported by crystals as we open our hearts, stand in our light, and honor our vision.

This week marks a season change, the time when those of us in the Northern Hemisphere welcome the Winter Solstice - the dark point of the year.
Here in Wisconsin it also happens to be pretty chilly ;-) It is a time of year when I love to cozy up, by candlelight, with a cup of tea and a journal to do a bit of reflection.
But, regardless of where you live (Northern or Southern Hemisphere), we are all nearing the close of the year. This is a great time for reflection. It's a time to look back at the year with eyes of love and clarity. It is a time to consider the year's highlights and lowlights.
Through reflection, we glean deeper insight and understanding. We illuminate the ways we have grown. We recognize challenges. We open our hearts. We honor all facets of our journey . . . the good, the bad, the beautiful, and the ugly.
Reflection is a powerful ally. It is a pathway for connecting with our source of inner light, allowing it to illuminate life in magical and meaningful ways.

Ahh . . . 'tis the season for all things Crystal Balls. Magic Spells. Crystal Skulls. It's a time when magic is brewing. And a time to let your magic shine.
It's also a great time to connect with our ancestors.
I took a little time this afternoon to shake up my altar . . . to honor loved ones who've passed, to honor my lineage and the lineage of healers present during this time.
This season, when the veils between worlds are thin, is a time to lean into and receive the wisdom of our ancestors.
Ahh yes, our ancestors have much to share.
This is a time when prayers are clearly heard and messages are clearly conveyed.
Listen. With all of your senses, listen.
Whisper your prayers. Share what is in your heart. Ask for guidance. Invite healing. Welcome love. Bring voice to your needs, concerns, wants, and desires. Express your gratitude.
The ancestors are listening. They are here to support you. Lean in.

Facilitating this journey and holding sacred space for soulful reconnection been both a joy and an honor.
There are many beautiful things about sinking into sacred space within community. Embarking on a shared journey, one of deep, intimate relationship with self). Witnessing. Sharing. Presencing. Opening. Celebrating. And so much more.
We are living in sacred times. You know this. These times are calling us to root into our knowing of self while also committing to the heart centered dreams and visions our soul is ready to bring forth.
As 2021 winds down and we begin shifting into the energy of 2022. You may recognize this by naturally inclined to circle up, to be in community and sacred space with others who are also honoring their dreams and vision. It is going to be a year of coming together in sacred ways.
It is a time to be supported, to support, and to collectively rise.
Yes, together we rise.
While tuning into this energy I found myself reflecting upon one of my final mornings up north. Koda and I made our daily trip down to the dock to greet the sun. When we arrived at the water, we were greeted by a Great Blue Heron.
Many years ago, I took a deep dive with the medicine of heron. I explored the dance between independence and interdependence as well as generational patterns and stories regarding relationships.
So on this brisk fall morning, when we arrived at the water and met with heron, I wondered what his message was. As we sat together, a message that came forward:
There is a time to fly solo. There is a time to come together. Honor both seasons.
As I leaned into this more I remembered an experience I had with herons during their season of coming together.
Early in the spring, my dad took me for a visit to our family land. Deep in the forest, along the the river, the herons gathered high in the oak trees where they nested, in community. When I close my eyes I can still hear their chatter above my head. I remember feeling as though I was in some other place, in some other time. As they soared in and out of their nests, they felt quite majestic.
Herons come together when it is time to birth their next generation.
I find this message to be important at this time. We are being called together right now to energetically align and activate our vision for life.
This is not a solo task. This is a community event . . . one in which we individually deepen and rise within sacred space together.

As we near the light of the full moon, I feel myself called to create sacred space, to step in, to create ceremony. As we near the light of the full moon, I feel called to invite you to join me . . . in sacred space, in ceremony, in a sacred journey of reconnection.
Sacred space is many things . . . it's the beautiful spaces we create to honor ourselves and our relationship with the sacred.
And, sacred space is also a space we create through our unique and intimate relationship with our spirit guides, the elements, nature, the crystals, our animal guides, and so much more.
This kind of sacred space is created through prayer. It opens a bridge between worlds and calls us outside linear time and space.
It opens the gateway to pure potential and possibility. It allows us to see ourselves and life beyond the limited ways we think of as normal from one moment to the next.
This sacred space is where I am inviting you to meet me . . . in the space of pure possibility. I am inviting you to access all that is sacred . . . to access the sacredness that is you!

Over the weekend, I was thinking a lot about the art of listening within.
Years ago, a mentor introduced me to reflective journaling. Since then, this practice has evolved into a ritual for me . . . a reflection ritual, a practice I come to on a daily basis to sink into deeper connection with my voice of inner wisdom.
This pathway in has been rich and supportive in cultivating the capacity to not only hear my voice of inner wisdom, but to also honor it.
As we navigate times of change (both personal and collective) our ability to hear our voice of inner wisdom and to honor it through inspired action is one of the most valuable skills we can develop.
It is the key to . . .
- trusting our intuition.
- elegantly navigating life's ups and downs.
- taking inspired action.
- being the powerful creator of our life and our reality.
- living authentically in all facets of your life.

My forest immersion officially came to a close on Friday as Koda and I packed up the camper, locked the woodshed, and made our drive home.
It was a beautiful day for a drive. The fall colors were brilliant and while the scenery was pretty spectacular, but the feeling was bittersweet.
I was eager to return home, to get back into a routine of sorts but for the past couple months the forest has felt like a sanctuary. It has been a place to reset and sink into deeper connection with not only myself, but all of life. In many ways, being immersed in the woods in this way, I felt like I was being held in a sacred cocoon.
With all that has been and is unfolding in the world, I feel like we all could benefit from some aspect of deep soul nourishment right now.
For each of us, soul nourishment looks a little different.
But one of the things that has become clear to me this past summer is the importance of spending time in ways that we regard as sacred. During such times we connect with our inner wisdom and voice of inner knowing.
As we sink deeper into meaningful sacred practice, we return to ourselves and artfully navigate times of change, chaos, and uncertainty.
This is what I found in the woods. So simple. Yet so powerful.

Over the past year, life has changed direction for me. It's changed in ways that were both unexpected and warmly welcome. My time in the forest revealed a new way of being . . . I think one that I've been hungry for but could not recognize without simply leaning into the unfolding of it.
When life changes directions, we find ourselves standing at the threshold of the unknown. This is often not a comfortable place to be. It is often frightening. The path before us is unclear and the gift in taking the leap can often feel elusive.
But as this summer is coming to a close and I am reflecting upon the leap of faith Chris and I took in saying yes to purchasing this land, I find myself deeply grateful.
Yes, life changed direction. I am deeply grateful I leaned in and allowed it to unfold in ways I could not imagine.

This week summer comes to an official close as we celebrate the Fall Equinox and welcome the fall season.
I'm up at camp again for a couple days enjoying a bit of solitude and celebrating both this week's full moon and the fall equinox with lots and lots of ceremony.
The changing season brings with it a changing energy . . . an energy that invites us into deeper reflection, a more gentle rhythm, and to honor our intuitive nature.

Inner wisdom. Intuition. Inner knowing. Inner guidance.
These are all great words (or phrases) to describe the part of self that is discerning, clear, decisive, and connected in ways that transcend logic and reason.
We all have access to this part of self.
It is a part that, when nurtured and developed, is an incredible ally in all facets of life. Our inner wisdom is our guide for navigating the ups and downs with grace, clarity, and alignment with our self and our personal values.
Over the years I have come to know that cultivating a relationship with my inner wisdom is what has helped me navigate some incredibly difficult experiences, focus my energy into projects and practices that nourish my soul, and healing in deep and profound ways.
I am very often asked for suggestions on how to develop ones intuition; where to begin. Actually, just after recording today's podcast episode where I dive into this topic, I received a private message from an old friend asking this very question. Random? Maybe. But I actually saw this as powerfully affirming the timing of today's podcast episode. This is a great example of the magic that unfolds when we listen to, trust, and take action upon our inner wisdom.

This morning I woke up thinking about a client I worked with years ago.
During a conversation with her I asked a question that she was not able to answer . . . a question that I think many of us struggle with:
"What do you want?"
She knew I wasn't asking this question from a surface level or probing at egoic ideals, but rather I was asking her soul.
"What do you want?"
She was silent for a very long time. I could feel how her thoughts, opinions, personal judgements, or fears were getting in the way.
Her mind was fighting with the answer her soul was sharing. Finally, she took a deep breath and replied, "I don't know. I need to think about this."
I danced with her for a bit, rewording the question and trying another door. But she locked up tight.
I felt the part of her wanting to answer, and I heard the part of her afraid of her own dreams.
I know this place.
I've given that answer . . . to myself, to my friends, to my colleagues, and to my mentors. Sometimes I really don't know. Other times, it's because a part of me is reluctant to give voice to what my soul most desires. I also know the pain of not honoring my dreams.
Usually, for me, there is an element of fear or judgement that is surfacing from my ego. This bit of fear or judgement has likely gotten in the way for a very long time. I've come to know that in those moments, I have a choice . . . I can lock up tighter, or I can lean into the space being held and lay it down. The thing is, sometimes the moment isn't right.
Maybe there's a reason we need to hold tight to our story or limiting belief for a bit longer . . . a reason it is serving us. If you ever notice this, honor where you are at and welcome your right timing.
But if right now, you, like many other people, have been feeling an energetic call to say "yes" to what your soul wants . . . NOW is an Amazing time to do that.
Back to the client I spoke of earlier . . . A couple months later, she was able to answer that question. Not only that, she was ready to take action and breathe life into what she wanted.
I want this for you, too!
I want to see you bring your dreams to life.
Yesterday's new moon (and the lion's gate portal) are inviting us to lay down our resistance, our doubts, our worries, our fears, our judgements and listen. Yes, listen to what our soul really wants and then claim it.

I'm writing to you this afternoon with a stellar view out our camper window as we hang out on our somewhat remote land in the Upper Peninsula of MI.
Last summer Chris and I purchased this little slice of sweetness as a place to camp and just get out into nature. As we spend more and more time here, we are beginning to see how each visit seems to be met with its own surprise, magic, and experience: from a lightening strike or warm sunny afternoon to trimming trees and working on our road. As we connect with this space, we have been finding new meaning in co-creating and connecting with the earth.
It's been interesting to step back from our own agenda or plan and allow the earth to instead reveal something even more amazing.
Yesterday, after another refreshing rain, the gravel on our driveway began revealing its true colors. What is at quick glance is red and black basalt was showing itself to be filled with so much more . . . think chrysocolla, calcite, chlorastrolite, epidote, serpentine, rhyolite, copper, and so much more. Imagine, all of this right underfoot every day. Wow! Just wow!
Slowly over time Chris and I have been gathering a little collection of these stones, but something about yesterdays rain made them even more obvious. It was like my eyes focused in on one piece after another.
This got me thinking about how amazing these little utilitarian stones are . . . they are so much more than driveway gravel . . . and they have so much more to share.
Have you ever found yourself inexplicably drawn to a piece of landscape rock or something sparkly on the road?
Don't worry, you're not alone.
But I do think that as adults we sometimes try to resist picking up such pieces . . maybe we are worried about looking a litt woo woo or maybe we worry that it could be seen as stealing a rock or any other little reason that may pop in.
Totally get it.
And there are definitely circumstances where picking up a found rock just is not appropriate . . . but then there are times, like when you're walking a driveway where tires likely transport rocks every day and I have to say: Why not?
I bet that little lovely that's catching your eye has something to share.

This is just such a powerful phrase. (one shared with me many times by my dear friend and colleague, Melissa)
"Look for what is right and create more of that."
So often we get wrapped into worries, fears, doubts, and insecurities around what is not working or what is not 'going right' that we begin to see this as a 'safe' place.
Expressing and sharing our worries, doubts, and fears becomes the 'safe' place in conversation, the 'safe' place in the ways we see ourselves, and it is the 'safe' place we cling to as we stand on the precipice of a leap.
Now there is definitely a time to express these facets of our experience, and it is such a gift to sink into sacred conversation with a friend, family member, or loved one who can hold space as voice is brought to what we have been struggling with.
But when we begin to create more awareness around this 'safe' place while also welcoming crystal clear awareness around what is already right and amazing in our lives, magic happens.
In my final year as an occupational therapist, we kicked off the year with a talk by Dewitt Jones where he extended the invitation to 'celebrate what's right with the world.'
This talk shaped my life and my work in so many ways and even still there are times when I find myself descending into the trenches of old pain and getting stuck in what is wrong. This is part of being human . . . the opportunity to know and experience a full spectrum of emotions. What a cool thing?!
The thing that always seems to pull me out is shifting my gaze, just a bit, so that it lands upon something that is already right.
For today, I want to invite you to do this as well.
There is always something right if we just simply shift our lens of perspective and see the moment, the situation, or the experience just a little bit differently.
As we recognize what is right, we step through a sacred passage into what is possible. We heal. We grow. We change. We transform. We open our hearts to what is next . . . and what is next is just waiting to be born.
Yes, as we find what is right, we begin to create more of that.

This afternoon I journeyed with Iolite, the May stone of the month as I recorded today's episode of the Crystal Shaman Life Podcast.
It is just so much fun to journey with the stones . . . to sink in and experience them in this way. Wisdom just flows.
As I wrapped up the episode I combed through my journal and read a message from Iolite that I scribbled in earlier this year.
Tightly held beliefs of limitation show up as we take steps forward, steps towards change, growth, and new vision. We get to choose . . . are we going to stay safe and quiet or are we going to face our fears, heal, and grow into our wholeness? Until we muster the courage to stand on the threshold of the unknown, facing our fears with love and compassion, we will continue to hold ourselves back, to keep ourselves small. We will keep the doors of possibility tightly sealed. Are you willing to navigate an uncharted path? Are you willing to trust your inner compass and divine support as you make this journey?
I feel like each of us, in our own way, are meeting with opportunities to confront our long held beliefs and ideas and consider what would our lives be like if we were to lay them down, to open the doorway of possibility.
Mmm . . . what is possible?
Iolite is calling us into a bit of exploration around that.

Over the past several weeks I've been on a creative deep dive, creating a new collection of jewelry . . . and in the process, I've been finding myself called to cross yet another threshold, deeper into the realms of the crystals and stones.
This seems to happen with creative crystal projects. The crystals love to align to support us in many facets of our sacred life journey. As I sank into this project, I could hear the stones whispering 'come closer. listen. there is something new we want to share.'
Sinking deeper into the realms of the crystals and stones is also a journey deeper within . . . one of healing, inspiration, and a more intimate connection with all of life.
As I've been busy creating the pieces for a new collection of jewelry, I've been finding myself guided by the wisdom of the earth. The earth has a deep understanding of what is unfolding for us during this time, and it is helping us connect with the most potent crystal and stone allies for this time of creative change.
I'm guessing you won't be surprised when I share that many of these potent allies also showed up in the 2021 Crystal Forecast.
It's funny because it seems like this would have been a good strategy . . . look at the forecast and create a collection that matches, but the thing about getting creative with the crystals is that the entire process organic and so far from strategic.
I simply sat down, day after day and created. And then, when I was nearly complete, I took a peek at the forecast and busted out laughing: the crystals of the month, for the coming months are represented among each of the pieces. The only stone missing was copper which is actually a part of every piece because brass is 85% copper. Ha! Can't make this stuff up. So wild.
Ahh, I feel pretty confident say that something beautiful is being birthed in the world right now and while we may not know exactly what that is, the crystals and stones are most definitely active participants in this adventure.
I sincerely hope that one of the pieces from this new collection will make its way to you, supporting you to cross your next threshold in life.

At the beginning of this month I created a new piece of jewelry for myself . . . something special to wear as I filmed the fresh content for the Sanctuary Membership Circle.
Carnelian, the April stone of the month is fiery and creative and eager to light up our worlds by reinvigorating deep passions . . . and of course, this new adornment was made of carnelian.
Creating jewelry has always been a love of mine. I fell I love with it as a child when my mom took me to her friends house for macrame classes. Blue cord and vibrant yellow beads carefully strung and intricately tied into a flower.
Ok, maybe not so intricate, but for a six year old who barely knew how to tie her shoes, those were some pretty impressive knots. ;-)
Those classes inspired my love for crafting jewelry.
Over the years I’ve danced between being all in, creating jewelry that was sold in boutiques throughout the US to pushing pause and laying down my tools all together.
Within that dance, I feel like I’ve found my sweet spot and clear understanding of the sacred role jewelry and jewelry creation plays in my life . . . it is a sacred ally for creating ripples of beauty and love in the world.
Pulling out my beads and tools this spring was not the Spring Refresh I was expecting, but I have to say I was delighted as the creative energy just flowed . . . and continued to flow with joy, inspiration, and ease.
This is part of the magic Carnelian is bringing this month: a sustainable creative flow.

We are being reawakened to our innate ability to create . . . not just fun and amazing things, but to co-create our lives and our realities. Yes, we are becoming more finely attuned to what we are creating.

But creative energy invites us to create simply for the joy of creating.
It invites us to create love. Create joy. Create beauty. Create passion. Create compassion. Create dreams. Create vision. Create happiness. Create connection. Create patience. Create light. Create peace. Create softness. Create freedom. Create brilliance. Create confidence. Create ideas. Create clarity. Create movement. Create memories.
What would it be like to Create your life? What would it be like to Create For You?

Early tomorrow morning is the official point of the new moon, but we are definitely within its energetic window.
Have you been noticing its super sweet and imaginative vibe?
All things are possible. This message keeps echoing through my heart.
As I sink deeper into this energy, I hear these questions . . .
What does your heart really want? From the deepest, purest place, what does your heart want?
This new moon is inviting us to indulge the dreaminess and the fantasy, and it is also inviting us to not get lost there, but to instead, return to our soul and reconnect with our voice of inner wisdom. Often, when we do, we discover that what our heart really wants is less about attaining a particular goal or ideal and more about knowing what makes us truly feel alive.
Our soul longs to connect with the authentic bits of life . . . the things that make our heart sing with joy and dance with delight.
It may be laughter or the energy to play with your children, loved ones, or your dog. It may be a desire to simply spend more time in nature or to become familiar with the call of different birds. May be your soul wants to lay down the heaviness and weight of life and quench its thirst for deeper connection with spirit. Or perhaps it's been longing to spend more time in creative pursuits.
Only you know what your heart desires.
So I invite you to be with this question this weekend . . . what does your heart really want?

This morning I awoke to the song of the robins.
Such a delightful sound.
It seems I don't notice how silent the winter mornings are until the robins return. It is interesting how with them, the silent rhythm of the earth once again becomes audible.
These little harbingers of spring are a great reminder of how deeply connected we are to the innate rhythms of life.
March is a very creative month. It is a point in the calendar year when the intentions set at the beginning of the year begin to expand and take form. It is a time when we feel a renewed sense of energy and readiness for inspired action.
It is also a wonderful time to shake up our daily practices in a way that supports us in leaning into this energy of creative change. As we do so, we cultivate an unshakable relationship with the very core of who we are and we discover the magic of co-creating with spirit.

This afternoon I took a little shamanic journey to connect with the essence of love and the message wanting to be shared on this new moon day.
As I journeyed I felt this quote being recited in my heart . . .

Many years ago, as I made the shift from my career as an occupational therapist into a deeper study of spirituality and sharing my artistry through paintings and jewelry, this quote was like a mantra for me . . . one that guided both my creative process and my life.
Today, as the words echoed in my heart, I felt as though I was once again hearing them for the first time.
I pulled out the Prophet and read this passage in entirety. Chills. Every cell of my body had chills as I moved from one line to the next.
Always you have been told that work is a curse and labour a misfortune. But I say to you that when you work you fulfill a part of the earth's fullest dream, assigned to you when the dream was born. And in keeping yourself with labour you are in truth loving life, And to love life through labour is to be intimate with life's inmost secrets. Mmm . . . Do you feel the energy of these words inviting you to open your heart to the unique ways you breathe love into the world?
Our day to day lives are busy. And right now, there are A LOT of external stressors that many of us have never before experienced. For many of us, these stressors have triggered a trauma response locking us into a state of chronic fight, flight, or freeze.
Today's new moon is inviting us to hit the metaphorical reset button by attuning our hearts to the vibration of love.

Last night, with a heavy heart, I sat and watched the news. Chris and I were glued to the tv. Perhaps you were too. I felt like I was watching something I never imagined I would see in my lifetime. As I say this, I am reminded that there have been many things over the past year that I never imagined I would see in my country, in my lifetime.
We are in the midst of a great change. The soul of our country, the soul of our world, is in the midst of an evolution.
We are part of that evolution; experiencing it on both personal and collective levels.
2021 is calling for creative change. As creative change happens within each of us it also unfolds collectively.
The thing that moved me most last night was how after all of the chaos, when the vote count began again, the tone shifted. It felt like another layer of the illusion was shattered and with its shattering, our leaders were coming together . . . not because they all have the same ideas and beliefs and thoughts, but because some facet of a bigger picture was revealed through that experience . . . some aspect of it was unifying.
What would it be like if we were able to stand confidently in our differences and unite in our humanity?
This feels like a bit of a heady question at the moment . . . but it is truly one for the heart.
As we look back on yesterday, we may all be feeling something different. The thing is, it is important to feel the feelings . . . all of them. Write them out. Take them to a ceremony. Get support from someone who is skilled in working with the energetics of trauma.
Let them all of the feelings come to the surface so that they may be processed.
It does not serve anyone if we continue to tuck away what we feel, unacknowledged, unhealed. This is what has brought us to this point. Unfelt, unhealed emotions and trauma create their own momentum . . . that is what we saw yesterday . . . an explosion of repressed emotions and pain. It's dark. It's ugly. It's scary.
Yet through that explosion space is created for real healing . . . if we choose to rise.
Do not let this become another reason to tighten your heart. Let this be a reason to expand your capacity to love. Let this be a reason to heal. Let this be a reason to love.

Happy Full Moon!
Ahh . . . on this gorgeous day we mark the final full moon of 2020.
How perfect is it that this full moon falls so near the end of the year?
I feel like this full moon is inviting us to soften just a bit, to go within in, to listen, and to let go of anything that is complete before crossing the threshold into the new year.
So often we meet the new year with a sense of eagerness for the point of new beginning. We dive in, setting intentions, planning, and mapping out the year.
But as 2020 comes to a close, with a full moon, we are being invited to slow down and create space for what our soul wants to share with us as our next right step.

This morning as I sat down to record this today's podcast I heard a song outside my window . . . the song of the woodpecker. It was clear as a bell and despite my curtains being closed, I knew exactly whose song it was. This little guy chimed in a couple of times until I opened the curtain to say hello and make sure he knew his message was warmly received.
So, what was his message, you may be wondering.
He was making sure I included a bit about rhythms and cycles in today's podcast episode.
Winter is a very important part of the creative cycle.
It's the time when we do the inner work to create alignment between ourselves and our ideas, dreams, and visions.
It's the time when we nurture seeds of inspiration and give those seeds space to grow in our hearts.
For many of us, this past year has awakened a whole new sense of values and ideas. It has created a sense of awareness around what we most value, where we are putting our time and energy, and what feels most aligned with who we are.
2020 has invited each of us to refocus. It has planted many seeds of inspiration.
For those of us in the northern hemisphere, who are stepping into the winter season, we are stepping into a time when we have an opportunity to go within and nurture the seeds of these new ideas, dreams, and visions.

As we started sinking into ritual together, I decided I would share a bit of my process with you.
This seems to be a very common crystal question that pops up in conversations, interviews, and in
It's kind of the 'so I've got this super cool crystal and now what' sort of question.
Maybe you remember asking that yourself somewhere along the way.
I know I certainly did.
You may have noticed this as 'feeling something that you can't quite explain it.' Or 'feeling called to carry it around, but not knowing why.'
I remember a distinct moment when I felt like there must be something more I can do than read a couple great descriptions in my go-to crystal books. This moment was pivotal for me. And after years of diving deep into crystal study and practice, the questions that I once regarded as beginner questions I've now come to know as THE Questions.
Working with crystals is all about creating relationship. This happens when we allow ourselves to feel awkward and get curious about why we have feelings we can explain or why we want to hold our crystal at our heart rather than in our hands.
The thing is, cultivating this relationship takes time and practice. It requires nurturing and nourishing. This begins with simple things like how we welcome a new crystal into our home.

Ceremony + a crystal deep dive . . . this has been a central theme for me over the past week, and well, I guess throughout 2020. Haha.
It's been so much fun.
One of the ways I chose to explore my relationship with the crystals and stones was through art. I've been painting. A lot. And I've got a growing collection.
Last week I finished up what I thought was the final series of paintings for this collection, but within 24hrs a couple more crystals called out to be painted. One of them being the November stone of the month, Labradorite.
Labradorite has been a long time favorite of mine. I still remember where and when we first met. Something about this reflective crystal stood out to me on that day. It has since become my go-to crystal ally for navigating between worlds, taking a shamanic journey, listening within, and it's even the one I call upon when I feel like I need a bit of protection.
Labradorite supports us in refining our expression by supporting us in attuning to our inner truths. How would your life be different if you gave yourself both time and space to do a little inner reflection, allowing your inner world to have a voice, and to allow that voice to be expressed?

It is a time to sink into sacred practice.

What have you been noticing? How have you been experiencing it?
In my world, I've been finding myself immersed in deep conversations with friends, profound dreams, sinking into creative projects, and enjoying quiet, reflective time as I dive deeper into my study and practice of the ceremonial arts.
Weeks ago, I received guidance to block off a bit of time on my calendar at the end of October / beginning of November. I'm really glad I listened.
This mid-point of the fall season is a time when our intuitive senses feel heightened.
We may recognize or experience this as a clear(er) connection with the spiritual worlds. We may notice animal messengers popping in with a little love or we may awake with a clear message, words of wisdom, or sense of knowing. We may feel more connected with self, with spirit, and with all of life than we do at other times.
Often, this time of year is recognized as one in which the veils between the physical and spiritual worlds are thin and our ability to connect with the unseen or spiritual realms happens with greater ease. It is a rich time for honoring our ancestors and healing ancestral patterns. It is a time for love, compassion, and forgiveness. It is a time for ceremony.

Happy New Moon!
Mmm . . . I'm really enjoying the energy of this new moon.
There is a lot happening in the skies right now (and well as here on earth), but something about this Libra New Moon feels like both a point of endings and new beginnings . . . like the energy of both a full moon and a new moon are alive and active right now.
You may be noticing this with a very active dreamtime, crystal clear messages, a deeper understanding about situations that previously had you stumped, and perhaps a bit of push/pull in conversations while a renewed sense of appreciation and love emerges with bits of clarity and understanding.
I know, that may sound like a bit of a dualistic ramble, and I guess in some ways it is.
We are in the midst of a lot of opposition and it is through that opposition that clarity shows up.
So, however you are experiencing this new moon, I want to invite you to take a deep breath, step out of whatever is feeling a bit chaotic, and create space to discover what's been hidden.

Oh my, it's a gorgeous fall day today . . . actually this week has been incredible. Sunny, warm, and the midnight skies have been crystal clear.
Our little Ace has had me getting me up in the middle of the night quite a bit lately and while I really prefer to sleep through the night, it's been a delight to step outside and look up at the stars. And, every once in a while catch the hoot of our neighborhood owl.
I love little moments like that. Moments when I'm deeply present, fully within the experience, and able to enjoy and receive the beauty surrounding me.
That's not always easy. Especially during times when things are particularly chaotic or we've got a lot going on.
Being fully present is the theme that showed up in this month's crystal altar.

I hope this message finds you well and that you're enjoying this first week of the new season.
Fall has long been a favorite of mine, it's a time when I like to hide out in the woods and commune with nature. With so many changes unfolding, I find it to be a potent time for reflection.
This fall, as I'm hanging out in the woods, I'm enjoying someplace new.
About a month ago, Chris and I purchased land in Michigan's Upper Peninsula . . . a magical spot on a quiet little lake near Lake Superior. It's quite rustic . . . but we do have a camper pad, electric, a dock, a wood shed filled with dry firewood, and a fire pit . . . you know, all of the camping essentials. And surprise, we actually have cell service which means I can set up a hotspot and dig into a bit of online work.
Having land where we can camp is something Chris and I chattered on about for years. We had quite the list of ideas and thoughts and desires. We imagined such a space, we could feel it, and in our imagination it was alive. But when we did the actual groundwork to try and find it, we found ourselves disappointed again and again.
We were trying too hard to make it happen.
Raise your hand if you've ever done that! Haha.
I don't know about you, but sometimes (ok often) I forget that it takes time for my dreams, desires, ideas, and visions to take form or to land in the physical world. An idea pops in and with excitement I want to rush to bring it into form. I mean seriously, isn't that what amazon is all about . . . need something today, click a couple buttons and it shows up by tomorrow. Magic, right?! Haha. Ok, maybe not.
I see this happen in so many areas of my own life and I also see it as one of the biggest challenges my clients and students have with both understanding how to embody and breathe life into their vision.
Looking back, our search for land was one of those times when I wanted to go from idea to having it now with a couple clicks. But when we stepped back from trying to make it happen, we allowed ourselves to imagine, to dream, to set intentions, and most importantly to take our dreams to ceremony, everything came together.
We got out of our heads and into a soulful connection with the change we wanted to create and how together, we wanted to experience life differently.
So this summer, when a series of synchronicities unfolded and we found this spot, it was an easy and joyful yes!
When we are in alignment, change flows. But when we try to make it happen, we get in our own way and we find ourselves circling around and around again with the same patterns, disappointments, struggles, and stories.

It has been a very busy couple of weeks here as I've been digging into a couple of exciting projects. I've been filming, recording, designing, and getting so creative. As we near the fall equinox, I find myself attuning to the energy of the season change and a time of year when my creative self loves to create!
One of the projects I've been working on is creating a monthly membership circle. I'm so excited about this one. It has been nurtured in my heart and in my thoughts for years, and now it is time for it to be created. I so want to share details with you, but know that they are coming soon . . . very soon!
As I've been sinking into this project with my team, it's been so much fun to bring what was once just an idea into form.
In the process, I've been noticing that as I'm creating graphics and meditations and videos and so much more, I'm taking a little journey of reflection as well . . . I'm reflecting upon the deep inner journey that I've also taken along the way.
So often, when we think about creating something or making changes in our lives, we think about the action steps we will need to take. Those action steps are incredibly important, but taking the inner journey is just as important. The inner journey is essential to creating the growth required for us to bring our visions, ideas, and dreams into form. In last week's podcast episode of the Crystal Shaman Life Podcast, I shared the crystals and stones of the month along with the ways they are showing up to support us on a collective level. Citrine was central in that altar, and its message was crystal clear: 'It is time to create real and lasting change.'
That message stood out to me with so much energy that I spent a good bit of time exploring what it means to create real and lasting change. As I sank in, a series of myths showed up . . . beliefs that I all too often hear come up for individuals on their healing journey, beliefs that misguide their steps and unconsciously keep them spiraling through the same cycle over and over and over again.
In this week's episode of the Crystal Shaman Life Podcast, I dive into these myths, bringing a bit of awareness around the places where we unconsciously keep ourselves in the same loop and never really move forward in the ways we deeply desire.

How are you experiencing the energy of this week's Full Moon?
What are you noticing?. . . Are you feeling energized or are you feeling like you'd love to crawl back into bed for a couple extra hours of sleep?
As I've been checking in with friends, clients, and colleagues, I've been hearing many different responses. This full moon is most definitely affecting each of us a bit differently. But despite how we are experiencing it, it does have a central theme and that theme being that it is time to land the ideas and dreams and visions that have been circling our awareness over the past several months.
One of the themes I'm seeing show up (both personally and collectively) is a desire for change and transformation. Some of us maybe feeling it within ourselves, the desire to shift the patterns of belief or subtle ways we've been living our day to day lives, while others of us may feel called to impact change on a more global level.
Regardless of what aspect we are feeling called to affect either in our lives or within the world, this full moon is preparing us for steps of inspired action that we will take throughout this month.
So if extra rest is what you're needing now, indulge it. ;-) And if you're ready to move into action, go for it!

Very often, clients, friends, and colleagues come to me with remarkable stories about animal encounters. They share their story and then eagerly ask me what that means. Hehe. I just love these conversations, and I always surprise them when I turn the question back and ask what it means to them. For some, this answer is easier than others and most often, they are simply excited to sink into this conversation.

As I prepped this week's podcast episode, my mind wandered back to the time Chris and I spent camping in the Black Hills of South Dakota this summer. We had a happy little spot nestled in among the towering pines. It was fantastic.
We spent two weeks hiking trails and wandering through the hills. We met with animal messengers and found large deposits of rose quartz where I sank deep into meditation.
Love and support were definitely central themes during these two weeks . . . and one phrase repeatedly echoed through my soul "drop into your heartspace".
With each echo of this phrase, I could feel myself slow down, pause, breathe more wholly, and simply listen within.
My inner rhythm was reconnecting with that of the earth.
It was refreshing and nourishing all at the same time.
The crystals for this month's altar also echoed this message . . . drop into your heartspace.
This time, I felt the message ripple out into the collective. Oh my, these little lovelies (danburite and iolite) sent out a wave of love like no other.

Happy Full Moon!
This moon has an interesting vibe, one that is inviting us to be lovingly present with any friction or tension we may be experiencing, to then lay it down, let it go, and create space for something truly unexpected.
It is time to create new pathways, new ways of responding to situations in our lives and to be delighted by what shows up when we do.

Over the past week I sank into a series of amazing, clarifying conversations.
You know, the kind where you connect heart to heart and deeper insight floods forward almost as though it was waiting for this sacred moment to emerge. Those beautiful, rich moments when expressions of love and gratitude are exchanged from one heart to the other and then back again in an infinite flow.
After one such conversation, my friend followed up with a text saying 'can we just bottle this and take as needed'.
Ahh . . . yes. And. Let's have more of these. Let's have more of these connections with the people who are so sacred in our lives. Let's open our hearts to raw and real conversations. Let's stand in our truth and with love witness the truth of another.
Yes. This is the world I want to live in. Yes, more of this please.
On the shamanic path we often speak about our ability to create our world; to dream our world into being. Many times, on my path, that phrase felt overwhelming. It felt too big. And many times I didn't even know where to begin.
But within these sacred conversations, I experienced a glimpse of clarity. Deep and nourishing relationships are important to me. They are important in the world I want to dream into being.
During this very changing time, many of us are being met with an opportunity to vision our world a bit differently.
As I began preparing for day 1 of my calling in clarity ceremony journey, I found myself connecting with Iolite. I have to say I got a bit of a giggle when I remembered this this lovely is the collective crystal ally for 2020. Yep, a crystal that supports us in seeing clearly amidst darkness is the ally for this year. How perfect is that?!!!

Over the weekend we had some pretty chilly weather . . . the kind that had me reconsidering if it is truly time to pack away my winter jacket or if I should keep it out just a bit longer.
Ahh . . . Spring . . . it's such a beautiful and wildly unpredictable time, one rich with insight.
As Chris and I have both been working from home these past couple months, we've been spending extra time in our flower gardens.
Spring is a time when Chris is typically coaching and putting in extra hours at work. It's typically a time when snagging a couple hours in the garden to clear off the leaves, brush, and other dead stuff from the fall feels like a gift. But this year, as we are able to spend more time than usual, our spring garden is looking better than ever.
And all of this spring garden time has offered me some extra insight into the magic of the spring season . . .
In the past, I've associated spring with being a time to spring into action, a time when the dreams and ideas we were nurturing through the winter are ready to spring to life and come into bloom.
But what I actually missed about the spring season, is that in order for the plants to thrive, we need to give them space and in spring, that requires a bit (or sometimes a lot) of clean up.
Spring cleaning is important in so many areas of life . . . our homes, our closets, the kitchen, and in more subtle places such as our inner worlds.
Spring is a great time to clear out the debris that is cluttering our inner worlds as well, to lovingly look within and attune to the dreams that are ready to bloom in our lives . . . to give our inner worlds a little spring refresh.
During this spring refresh, it can be very helpful to lean into ceremony, sacred practice, and the support of others.

Tomorrow is full moon. It's a supermoon. And, with the warmer, spring weather, I've been feeling called to gather up some of my favorite crystals and place them outside, in the moonlight.
Earlier this year I made a post about this in the Crystal Shaman Life FB Group. It opened up a fun thread of conversation, and this week, that post resurfaced.
It was really fun to hear your preferences and why's when it comes to putting your crystals and stones in the moonlight.
This is something I personally love to do, but it isn't right for everyone. As with all sacred practices, it comes down to intention and relationship. So, in the light of the nearing full moon, I decided to dive a little deeper into this conversation with a new podcast episode.

Chris and I are slowly sinking into what it looks like for both of us to work from home. For many years, this is something we've talked about and tried to imagine how or if this could work. And, we always decided it just wouldn't. But now, it is working. And within it, we are finding great joy.

Personally, I've found myself working with a different crystal or stone each day, and I've found myself deeply inspired by their messages.

How are you?
Really . . . deep within, how are you?
A lot has unfolded (and continues to unfold) in the world over the past couple of weeks.
What many of us previously regarded as our normal day to day life is shifting in unexpected ways from one moment to the next.
Being the hermit that I am, I typically love an excuse to sink in at home: to dig into creative projects, watch reruns, listen to music, clear out closets, play with my crystals, and just sink into silence. Being quiet at home is familiar territory for me. It is a place I love to be, but right now, in the midst of so many unknowns and changes, my typically quiet home space feels a bit unsettled.
Like so many others (and quite possibly you) Chris and I are navigating new routines and what it means to both work from home. With each step, we find ourselves taking swift action and then in the space of waiting for a next bit of information to emerge.
Waiting in the unknown is uncomfortable.
Yet in the wait is an opportunity to be deeply present; an opportunity to Sink into Stillness.
It is a rich time for discovering and creating a new normal.
As we navigate this very changing time, I feel like this is one of our greatest allies, sinking into stillness and becoming even more present within each moment.

The spring spirit was activated in our home over the weekend. Chris and I got our little camper out of storage and started prepping it for an upcoming adventure. We're not heading out very far, or for very long, but there's something really refreshing about a couple days away, spending time in nature, hiking, and sitting (bundled up) beside the campfire.
When we create opportunities to do the unexpected or break free of our own perceived limitations and expectations we come to know ourselves in new ways. We grow. We expand. We become confident, assured, and trusting of ourselves and others. Yes, by doing the unexpected, we rise into our wholeness.
So much of what makes each of us amazing is all too often hidden away in the routines of our day to day lives.
Doing the unexpected does not mean we need to do something huge or risky, but it does require us to push our edges just a little bit . . . to say more at times and less at others, to sit on the floor and gently stretch during a hulu binge, to leave an afternoon or evening or even a weekend open in our calendar, to try a new genre of music, to go camping for a night or two in the middle of the winter.
We all have a comfort zone, and we all have edges we would like to press.
What edges can you press in your world?
This was the central theme that emerged today, as I sat down with the crystal altar of the month. Iolite (the crystal of the year) and Chain Coral (the crystal of the month) extended an invitation to break the bonds of our expectations and to create space to be pleasantly surprised by ourselves, by others, and by life.

Ooh . . . the topic of self-care has been hot in my world lately.
At the beginning of February, we began working with element of water in the Crystal Shaman Initiation program. This element can be challenging as we sink deep into emotions, creativity, and personal power. It is a time when we really go deep within.
It is also a time when excessive self-care is very important.
Self-care is self-love.
Sometimes it is a decadent salt bath, a walk in the woods, meeting up with friends for conversation and glass of wine. Sometimes it's a a massage, time at the spa, or a lavish vacation.
And, sometimes self-care isn't pretty.
The spiritual path isn't always pretty.
Life isn't always pretty.
Healing isn't always pretty.
Self-care isn't always sexy.
But it is doing the things that we need to do in order to create space within our mind, our body, and our spirit.
It can be a hulu binge, clearing out the closets, organizing the cupboards, creating a budget, getting a healing session, stepping back from toxic dynamics within relationships, creating space to hermit, folding the laundry, doing the dishes, clearing out your inbox, leaving a party early, saying no to a get together. It is creating space to feel, to really feel. It is creating space to listening within.
Self-care isn't always sexy.
But it is, in my opinion, always worth it.

Yep, I've been getting curious.
Why is vision a central theme in a year of creating a solid foundation, setting up supportive systems and structures? (as my numerology friends wisely tell me, 2020 is a 4 year)
What does vision have to do with laying a solid foundation . . . isn't that more of a roots thing?
Ahh yes, I got curious.
So often, when the word vision comes into conversation, there's an immediate energy of looking outside of oneself, almost a reaching for an answer, insight, or guidance. And there truly is a lot of insight that can be gleaned from outside of self.
But the vision the crystals are inspiring us to align with actually the soul vision that lives within.
This is a different type of vision and it requires a whole new level of trust.
I know you are highly skilled at looking within, finding stillness, and opening your heart to the voice of your soul.
Right now, as the external noise grows louder and more chaotic and confusing, it is more important than ever to listen to the voice within. It is time to strengthen that voice, to allow it to become crystal clear.
This is how we discover a new vision and understanding of self, truth, and love.

Inner vision is incredibly rich.
As we see within with crystal clarity, we see the world with clarity, with love, and with compassion.

I've been feeling like this year is off to a soft and slow beginning, that it's inviting us to be gentle and deeply present as we lay a foundation for the year.
Have been feeling this too?
Slowing down the hurried momentum of our day to day lives isn't always easy, especially at the beginning of the year. There is a wave of momentum that comes with the new year. Very often we recognize that momentum as a feeling that we need to dive in and get focused. It creates a sense of false urgency.
Here, in the northern hemisphere, we begin the new year just after the beginning of the winter season. It's a time to linger within our dreams and nurture our soul. It is a time to pause, be still, and listen.
Yes, gentleness, softness, and deep presence are great allies during these first couple weeks of the year.
As a collective, we are in the midst of many changes, changes that require us to know and love ourselves even more, and changes that invite us to intimately know and love the dreams, visions, and desires of our soul . . . the ones with real meaning, the ones that invite us to see all of life differently, to see truth, beauty, love, oneness, connection, possibility, and so much more.
2020 is a year for LIVING with CRYSTAL CLEAR VISION.
And the crystals are eager to be an active part of creating crystal clarity in this year of vision.

We are nearing on a New Moon (Sunday). I love to work with new moon energy as points of new beginnings.
This months crystal altar seems to be offering an invitation to begin a new daily practice . . . whether it is an evolution of a current practice or simply beginning a daily practice all together.
Being a creative spirit, I love to shake up my daily practice. And while there are days that I miss it all together, I am very aware that I am most in flow and in alignment when my daily practice is central in my life.

Welcome Fall!
Today being the fall equinox, it is officially the first day of the fall season.
I think this is most definitely my favorite season; it's a time of year when I most enjoy being out in nature; hiking, camping, and exploring. I notice that it's a season when I feel reflective, creative, active, and expansive.
Every season has its own energetic pulse and feeling of momentum and when we begin to explore at how each one nourishes the other, it's pretty amazing. Over the years, as I've stepped more wholly onto the path of crystal shamanism, I've found myself sinking deeper into relationship with the seasons. It is truly amazing how that relationship creates greater ease and flow in life.

There's a lot of creative energy flowing this month. Many of us are feeling called to take a leap of faith, to embrace our dreams, and to take action to bring them to life . . . yet at the same time the dreams themselves may feel a bit foggy or out of focus.
I know, that sounds a bit in opposition . . . how can we embrace a dream that's still a bit foggy, right?
I was really struggling to understand this energy until I sat with the stones on this months crystal altar and listened to what they have to say and how they want to show up and support us this month.
Carnelian, Star Cluster Aragonite, Lake Superior Agate, and Copper want to support us in dialing in on not only our hearts deepest desires, but also on setting our inner creative compass to those dreams so that our action lines up and supports us in bringing them to life.

Ahh . . . summer is winding down.
At least it's beginning to feel like that here.
I'm enjoying a very quiet house today while Chris is immersed in a week full of trainings and meetings, kicking off the school year.
I love this little late summer transition as we step back into a very welcome and 'normal'ish' rhythm.
Today, within this rhythm, I'm finding myself in a place of reflection. I'm thinking about all of the magic and the potent insights we experienced while on our Lake Superior adventure.
Lake Superior opened up something truly amazing for me. I felt my heart expanded in ways I never imagined. And at the same time, every part of me slowed down. I felt in harmony with nature in new and unexpected ways and as even a I write this I feel myself lighting up with excitement about my next visit to that Great Lake.
Soon . . . very soon . . .
But for today, I get to linger in the sweetness of my memories and connect with an abundance of amazing rocks that made their way home with us. (More about those coming soon!)

Over the weekend we had some pretty intense storms roll through the area . . . the kind that had us hanging out in the basement as rain pounded, winds howled, tornado sirens echoed, and our phones chimed with weather notices.
Yep, these storms were intense.
It's been a long time since I've experienced storms such as this.
They moved through leaving a trail of debris, damage, and power outages.
Yesterday, as I walked through my neighborhood, my heart sank as I realized just how destructive this storm was, but I also saw something really special.
I saw people coming together, working together toward a common goal (clean up). Everything was a bustle. A typically quiet Sunday morning was filled with lively activity. Neighbors leaning in and helping each other. Family members showing up for clean up. Spontaneous conversations. And so much more.
Of course this energy of coming together towards a common goal is one that we are all familiar with. It happens a lot throughout life for many different reasons.
But what I noticed yesterday, was people coming together to not only clean up, but to connect, to laugh, to cry, and to support each other.
All too often we feel alone in our emotions, alone in our situation, and alone in our challenges. All too often, we assume others may not understand or fear that they may judge us or leave us even more alone. And, all too often we hide what we are feeling and we feel like we need to take care of it or fix our problems ourselves.
But the reality is, the need to fix things ourselves is an old collective story, one that really is not serving our culture anymore.
Perhaps you can recognize ways this old story is playing out in your life, for your family, or within your community. And perhaps you're recognizing that now is a time for us to come together, heart to heart. To be present. To listen. To hold space. To heal. To grow. To rise. Together.
As I was present with the events of this weekend and how this old story is living in my own life, I couldn't help but notice how this was also the theme for the July crystal altar of the month. This beautiful combination of Kambaba Jasper, Moonstone, and Pyrite invites us to explore how we can soften, how we can welcome the support in moving towards our goals, dreams, and highest vision.

Back in January, I did a 12 month crystal forecast, highlighting one crystal for each month as well as one crystal for the year. Each month, I shift my altar to reflect the new monthly stones. Not only has this been so much fun, but it has also been a great way to sink deeper into the collective energy and message each month.

Over the years, as I've been walking the path of the crystal shaman, I've been noticing how much more attuned I have become to my local landscape, and to the sacred sites in this area. Yes, Northeast Wisconsin is filled with sacred sites and energy centers! Something I truly never would have imagined prior to embarking on the path of the crystal shaman.
In 2008, when I went to Peru for the very first time, I was so excited to visit the ancient sites. I envisioned myself sitting in places such as Machu Picchu and Ollantaytambo receiving incredible energetic transmissions and profound insights.
But to my surprise, on the very first day of our journey, the shaman took us on a hike, through a field, to what looked like a random rock in the middle of nowhere.
While we were there, music was played, offerings were made, and Adolpho shared the significance of both this rock and this random spot in the middle of the field. It wasn't a random rock in the middle of nowhere, it was a very sacred spot with a deep connection to the ancient mountain spirits.
This left me wondering . . . how many times had I simply walked passed sites of spiritual significance with complete disregard because they didn't look as though I imagined? What I was overlooking within my own local landscape? And, how could I begin to cultivate a deep and meaningful relationship with the earth.
Yep, that experience left my mind whirling. And it left me determined to deepen my relationship with the earth.
So where and how did I start? . . . In my own backyard. :-)

There's something really potent about doing such a reading. The crystals that show up, are both offering insights and also extending their support for the coming year. This is super cool! And it is why I do this reading (for both the collective and for myself) each year.
But readings don't carry a whole lot of weight unless we find ways to take action upon their insights. You may have even been feeling like 'hey Lori, this is reading is great, but now what do I do with it'.
That's often what happens with readings and when working with crystals. They are sparkly. The messages touch us deeply. And yet, we are left with that question . . . what do I do with this?
And, guess what . . . the answer to this question is the MOST important step of any reading.

I was awakened a little after 5 this morning as a text popped in from a dear friend sharing this link. I was stunned last year when Doreen renounced her 'New Age Practices', left her career as a writer of oracle cards, training angel readers and mediums to become born again.
But this post, ugh . . . I am so greatly disappointed.
I get that she may feel called to a different path. I get that she may feel a connection with Jesus that she didn't feel before. Actually, I celebrate that. I celebrate ALL who find a spiritual relationship that is meaningful and fulfilling.
But, I also suspect that something very painful unfolded in her life, something that she has been unable to cope with at such a level that she is not only clinging to something that she feels will save her, but that she needs to also project her pain upon what she is defining as the new age world.
I do not see the 'new age' world as she describes. Nor do I see any of the sacred practices from shamanism to oracle cards, divination, sacred geometry, spirit guides, drumming, angels and all other sacred practices through the lens described here.
These statements are dark and shadowy generalizations that not only vilify a community that supported her 50+ books and decks of oracle cards, but are filled with untruths written in such a way that they trigger fear, anger, projection, rejection, and judgement.
We live within a truly unique and delicate time. This is a time for unification. It is a time to seek commonality. It is a time to open our hearts to each other. It is a time to discover and uncover truth. This article is not truth. This article is incredibly misleading. And Doreen's willingness to speak with authority in this way deeply saddens me.
I believe in fairies. I believe in angels. I believe that the sound of my drum connects me with a Universal rhythm. I believe my drum connects me with the Divine, one true Source that is beyond any name or single identity. A Source that is so vast our full perception of it is inconceivable and it is only through our willingness to recognize the many expressions of Divinity present in all of life that we can even begin to fathom God's greatness . . . a greatness so immense I will not dismiss the possibility that there is intelligent life beyond humanity. I will not dismiss the ways the Divine expresses himself/herself through the trees, the crystals, the animals, the seasons, the weather, the angels, the fairies, the unicorns, the ascended masters (including Jesus), the oracle cards, the tarot, the bells, sacred geometry, sacred art, and so much more.
And, through all of this, I thank you, Doreen. Your post is creating an opportunity for me to be even more resolute and steadfast in my love for the infinite expressions of the Divine and the infinite possibilities in connecting and deepening my unique relationship with the Divine.
It is my hope that you too will see through these statements and create space and opportunity to deepen into your unique relationship with the Divine

How's 2019 kicking off for you?
It's been a slow start here . . . the kind where I just want to linger within stillness and reflection, not making any quick decisions or taking fast action.
I really do enjoy lingering within my inner worlds. And, winter truly is a great time for that. It's also a great time to focus our reflective energy through divination.

Well . . . tomorrow is the last day of 2018.
I can hardly believe we are at the years end.
Since the solstice, I've been spending quite a bit of time in reflection . . . exploring the highs and lows of the year: dreams that were brought to completion, those that never really took form, and those who've come into thriving fullness.
Do you take time for this too?
I find this to be a powerful way to fully receive the gifts of the year and create space for the next year.
This years reflection revealed some pretty cool insights.
Like all good year end reflections, this one begins last year, at this time . . . hehe.
I remember meeting the new year with a sense of excitement. I had a list of personal and business goals neatly laid out, and I had carefully chosen a personal theme for the year: focus, fun, and freedom.
Those three words opened up quite the journey.
I had a lot of ideas about what freedom would mean for me . . . I imagined lots of travel, open air, and open roads. Of course those bits were definitely a part of my year, but I found myself quite surprised when spirit invited me to look at this word differently, to recognize that true freedom is something to be found within as I give myself permission to expand further into wholeness. Yep, that one felt so obvious and at the same time I was missing it.
2018 revealed how to experience freedom deep within. This awareness ultimately led me to close Journey Jewels, my jewelry line of eight years, and make a pivot in my work by opening the virtual doors to Crystal Shaman School.
Phew . . . that was big, unexpected, and wild ride.
I came face to face with some tightly held beliefs and a lot of emotion.
And I found myself leaning even further into sacred practices such as ceremony and shamanic journeying for clarity and support. It is through shamanic practice that I unraveled the ways I had bound myself to a particular way of being and created a true sense of freedom.
As I look back at this year I feel deep gratitude for the many unexpected ways those three words rippled through my life . . . and I am truly curious as to what will unfold in 2019.
In this final 2018 episode of Crystal Shaman Life podcast, I dive into the topic of how to bring the year to a sacred close and begin to create space for the magic of 2019.

I am finding it hard to believe that we are fully into the month of December.
In my world, this is not only a month full of holiday happenings, it is birthday month. Yep, birthday month. My mom, my sister, and I all have December birthdays . . . and even more, my calendar is filled (almost daily) with the birthdays of my dearest friends and loved ones.
How does that happen, right? Birds of a feather? Hehe, maybe ;-)
So, for as long as I can remember, the December festivities were a silver lining around the season of darkness that followed, winter. That is until I discovered that there is quite a bit of magic within this dark, cold season . . . And, this magic can be received as we allow ourselves to say yes to winters invitation to embark on a journey inward.
Winter is the season when our intuitive self desires to step forward so that we can deepen our relationship with self and with spirit. This deepening calls us to a whole new level of trust through which we begin to recognize the magic that infuses every facet of our lives.
Trusting our intuition is a skill we can cultivate . . . and it's the topic of this week's episode of Crystal Shaman Life podcast.

This has been a wonderfully busy time for me, but I've missed you.
What's been happening in your world?
Over here, Crystal Shaman School is in full swing. It opened with a ceremony in early November and since then I've been joyfully immersed in the magic that program . . . from connecting with the beautiful souls who've embarked on this journey to creating content, answering questions, and simply holding space for magic to unfold.
Each day I find myself in complete delight of the divine perfection unfolding within it.
And, now that it is finding its unique rhythm and I'm finding my creative flow within it, I will be returning to more regular podcast episodes, as well as messages here. Yay! I'm so excited about this. And hoping you are too ;-)

It has been quite magical here this week.
We are nearing the start date of Crystal Shaman School (Eeeee . . . it's Friday!!! Yay!) and I'm excitedly pulling together final details before we step into the opening ceremony.
In the midst of all of the busyness, I am finding myself in complete awe of how divinely perfect the details are coming together . . . even down to the little bits of healing, growth, and breakthroughs that unfold each day.
This midpoint of the fall season is filled with magic . . . it is truly an auspicious time of year.
It is a time when we may experience more clarity during dreamtime, heighten senses and intuition, and profound insights regarding our life path and the challenging patterns that are holding us back.
It is also a powerful time to honor and celebrate our ancestral roots.
While creating this week's episode of Crystal Shaman Life Podcast, I found myself reflecting on my own ancestral roots, in particular my Bohemian lineage.
This past spring, one of my aunts shared something very sacred with me that reconnected me with a thread of mysticism that had been lost in their immigration. And in a beautiful way it shed a new light of understanding upon the spiritual path that I have chose walk in my life.
So in the spirit of Halloween, I chose to dress up, Bohemian gypsy fortune teller style, as I created this week's episode.

Oh my, it has been amazing.
Each day we went deeper into ceremony.
Refreshing. Deeply connected. Inspiring.
It opened a doorway into the crystalline realms and created space for deep connection, crystal clarity, and powerful insights.
Ceremony is magical like that.
I will never forget the first time I stepped into a fire ceremony. I felt a sense of timelessness and a connection with spirit that was simultaneously new and so familiar.
That ceremony activated an entirely new way of being for me, one in which ceremony became a central part of my life.
Ceremony is a potent space for gaining clarity around what is most important to our soul and our soul's journey. It supports us in stepping out of the logic and reason that we so artfully use to defend our outdated stories and limiting beliefs. And it invites in the support of spirit so that we can begin to clearly recognize our most powerful steps in creating our reality.

How are you doing on this chilly fall day? I'm feeling all cozied up in my office. Candles burning. Incense filling the air. And an altar full of new crystals.
Earlier this week I returned from a little road trip to Syracuse, NY where I was teaching Crystal Shaman Reiki classes . . . oh my goodness, so much fun! We had a blast.
A whole weekend of being immersed in crystals, sacred work, and awakening gifts. Magical.
I also worked in a little time for self-care, camping on the eastern shores of Lake Michigan at some new to me spots.
I'm finding it interesting how the more and more wholly I step into my sacred work, the more I feel called to a new level of self care . . . and how that self care looks differently than it did in the past.
Have you recognized this within yourself?
It seems to be a theme showing up in conversations with both clients and colleagues. And, to be even more specific, it feels like this new level of self care involves slowing down and creating a whole new level of relationship Mother Earth.
My little road trip offered a lot of solitude and time to be with my thoughts. So many insights came through and I'm excited to share them with you in this week's episode of the Crystal Shaman Life Podcast.

We are nearing on the fall equinox . . . it's one week away (ok, and one day).
This is my favorite time of year.
I love the warm days and cooler evenings, the final burst of color, fruits, and veggies in the garden, and I love quiet evenings around the campfire.
There's something cozy about it. And generally speaking, it's a time of year when I just feel deeply centered and rooted in life.
The fall season invites us to do just that . . . to let go of what is complete, to harvest the gifts of the year, and to draw our energy back into our center by rooting into our life.

Years ago, early in my study of shamanism, I received a session from shaman who is masterful at shamanic journeying. During the session, he took a journey on my behalf. When he returned, he looked at me with a big bright smile and said "the stone people stood up and started dancing for you!"
His next sentence was 'Do you work with them?'
At the time I was creating A LOT of jewelry. I felt like I really knew the crystals and stones well. And in many ways I felt like they were talking to me and guiding my work.
But, it never occurred to me that I could actually journey and connect with the stone people.
That session opened the door to a whole new way of relating to the crystals and stones.
I began taking shamanic journeys with my crystals and stones. Connecting. Receiving their wisdom and insight. Deepening our relationship. And eventually supporting others to connect with the crystals in this way too.
It's amazing to me how such a simple statement "the stone people are dancing" dramatically changed my life and my sacred work.
Earlier this year, as I fully committed to co-creating and offering Crystal Shaman School, I felt the stone people rise and dance. Together we have been creating a magical space to share the practices and wisdom they have been sharing over the years. Ok, I confess . . . I fell in love with smudging long before I even knew what it was.
Yep, I was the odd little girl who sat in the front pew at church blissfully inhaling the incense as the priest waved his censor through the aisle.
I still love that smell. It brings to mind holidays and times with family and the image of beautiful ceremony and ritual.
Since that time, my spirituality has shifted and evolved and the practice I loved to witness as a child has become a part of my life. It has taken on new meaning.
Of course I still work with smudging and incense as a part of my ceremonies and rituals. And, over the years I've found many everyday uses that greatly affect not only the energy of my home and spaces, but also my well-being (physically, emotionally, and spiritually).

We are nearing Sunday's full moon and I've been feeling the pull from my crystals to dive into ritual with them.
I love full moon energy. My senses feel heightened. Dreamtime feels clearer. I have more focus and clarity. And my spiritual connection feels stronger.
Perhaps you experience some of this with the full moon too.
While I've spent a lot of time exploring how to flow with the moons creative cycles and rhythms, I still find myself learning something new with each moon cycle. And I continue to find myself in awe of the ways it affects me; emotionally, spiritually, and physically.

Have you ever had this happen? . . . You're in love with and working with a crystal and then one day it's just gone.
You retrace your steps. Check all of your little hiding places and no luck. Your go-to crystal has just disappeared.
We all misplace things from time to time; our keys, phone, sunglasses. It happens. I usually enlist my husband to help me find what I've misplaced. He jokes that I'm not a very good easter egg hunter, and whatever we are looking for is the prized egg of which he usually recovers pretty quickly.
But there is something different about a vanishing crystal. If you've experienced this, you know what I'm talking about . . . IT JUST DISAPPEARS!
Sometimes, it will reappear within a couple days or a week. Other times it's gone for months or even years.
And in the meantime it's likely left you wondering why? What's the message?

Hello, my sacred friend!
Do you hear them?
The crystals . . . They are calling.
You may recognize their call as you stumble upon a gorgeous quartz point in an unexpected place or as a friend gifts you with a stunning lapis pendant for your birthday.
You may hear the call of the crystals as the little nudge from your soul, inviting you to pause and pick up a stone on the beach or to make a quick stop at a shop you've never been in before only to find the big piece of rose quartz you've been searching for.
The crystals have a lot to share with humanity right now. They are a key part in the evolution of consciousness and they are eager to support us as we expand further into our wholeness.
