The 2022 cubs season is in the books! And in this episode we break down our thought on how this years campaign went. We also go through Jed Hoyer's end of season press conference and what we think are some key aspects of the team need buffing up as the Cubs now gear up for what could be a very exciting offseason.
Welcome back to the 108 Bricks Podcast! As the season starts to wind down we take a look at what has been a pretty decent second half of the season for the team. We go through what we like and what we don’t like about the new approach the Cubs are taking with developing pitching as well as what we think still needs to be looked at as the Cub continue to put their rebuild plan together. And we are back! This time we go through the Cubs trade deadline moves (or lack of moves) as well as what we think is the correct path ahead for this Cubs team because frankly, we really have no idea what's going on anymore.

With the trade deadline looming it means it is time again to look at all the potential outcomes for the 2022 Cubs roster as the future still seems uncertain for a team that seems to still be on pace for a full rebuild.

It is a few weeks into the season and I feel like it is safe to say that the cubs are pretty much in the exact spot we would expect them to be in with the team the have put together for the 2022 season. Curtis and Dylan are back to break down some of the bright spots to the cubs year and try and figure out why in the world so many high profile games are being scheduled in the middle of may when there is still snow falling on the field.

After some time to process and calm down from the fire sale that was the Cubs trade dead line we are back to break down all of the cubs moves that they made. We look at the return they got for the stars that they traded away and give our thoughts on the impact this makes on the team. We also start looking down the line as our attention now shifts away from the major league team to now seeing what the future lies for the next era of the Chicago Cubs.
Whelp…. Not the month we were expecting as the cubs went from a promising season to everything getting tossed down the drain. But we are reluctantly back to talk about the recent shortcomings with the Cubs and what this means for the team going forward. June has arrived! And the cubs are still good!
