When we realize that God is transcendent, it will change us. We cannot have an encounter with God and not be changed.
There is no limit to who and what God is. His power is unlimited, His knowledge and wisdom are unlimited, and even His love is without limits.
God desires a close relationship with us. However, we choose to enjoy that or not. We can choose to keep our distance from God.
God is the only self-existent one. Because of that reality, because we are created by Him and for Him, only He has the authority to sit on the throne of our life. When we fancy ourselves to be kings of our life, we steal the throne from its rightful owner.
Our perspective of God shapes all of our life. We launch today into a series to discover what God is really like.
God has placed us at the crossroads of life so His message of love could be spread further. He expects us to partner with Him to get that message out.
God has always called us to love Him and enjoy His love forever. Obedience is seen in how we are a blessing to others around us. His design was for all things to be good, when we do good into our world out of love for God and love for others, we are obedient to what God has called us to.
God had designed for His people to be a conduit of blessing to the world around them. What in your life is preventing that?
God has expectations for humanity, faithfulness to Him is one of them. Today we look at how Jesus fulfilled that expectation for us, and through that we see God’s love on display.
So many people are desperately looking for contentment. Where are you looking to find it? Is it in Christ? Today we examine the ending of Paul’s letter to learn what he discovered about the mystery of contentment.
Where does your mind rest? What do you think about when you are not actively engaged in a task? Our thoughts shape what we do and feel and say. Paul finishes his conversation on how to work through interpersonal conflicts.
Fear, worry and anxiety are not supposed to be part of our life. We can find freedom from them when we practice God’s presence.
What is it that we honor in life? What characteristics and activities do we encounter that are worth emulating in our own life? Paul teaches us once more from Philippians what and who should be honored.
We sometimes incorrectly think that faith is about obeying the rules. But faith is much more than that.It is about a relationship with God where God helps His people to live the life He created them to life.
What is the greatest thing in our life? The answer to that sets the course of the whole of our life. Paul taught that “To live is Christ”. God must be greater than my life.
What is it that we love in life? We must choose to love God more than all else. He must be greater than all that we love.
Life is full of ups and downs. Through it all, God is greater than all of it. Our responsibility, though, is to choose for that reality to be lived out in our life through whatever comes our way. We must choose for God to be greater than our struggles.
God is greater than our past, present or future. He is greater than everything, and our salvation is based in who He is, not in who we are.
