New life church is located in the Kootenays! Our mission is to bring people in to believe, build people up to belong, and send people out to serve in the community and around the world!
God wants all of us, not just part of us. Timothy Keller says, "when we are confronted with the true Gospel, with the real Jesus, you should not be shocked that it demands more then you thought and offer more than you thought." Greed and envy are often the reason that we see so much need in our world. We need to be willing to surrender everything for Jesus including our earthly dreams.
Join us as Pastor James walks us through some pretty interesting facts interwoven with how an analogy of space can reflect confident faith.
God sees us and who we actually are. He has put things in us from day one and has been developing His will for our lives for HIS purpose.
What does Jesus want form us? Is the Christian life all about having a "to-do-list"? What does it mean to be at Jesus' feet?
We have the ability to see beyond our physical circumstances. How can we maintain joy during the struggles of life?
We need to not just have knowledge but wisdom in order to understand what is good, but where does wisdom come from and how do we put it into practice? We will explore what true wisdom is and what it's purpose is: to bring people to repentance. Repentance comes from God's kindness but that doesn't mean it is absent of absolute truth.
We are made for relationships! It's an important part of being human. What happens when our relationship with God is broken?
We must seek the goodness of God and not the favour of man. When we get these backwards we can unintentionally partner with evil. When we seek to do good, the favour of our Lord will come. But let us explore what God says is good!
There's a lot of different voices, opinions, leaders, preaching styles, etc. But, who does the church follow?
Join us as we have our group of folks from NLC talk about their missions trip to Thailand.!
Anger is unavoidable; Jesus even got angry at times. If anger has a place, how we use it to glorify God as fathers, and as God's children?
We need to wait on God's timing before we can take the promises that He has for us. Sometimes, our patience, pride, or fear can cause us to not deal with our hurt and pain before we try and walk out the purpose God has for us. God is our healer, guide, and our protector in the whole journey. What we might think is there to break us, may be there to mature us.
Join us as we hear about James' adventure in Nepal and how sometimes during our faith journey God brings us down a different path, a change of "plans".
In our relationships with other people, both inside and outside the Body of Christ, we have specific responsibilities for how we are to act. In Romans 12 Paul gives us a brief outline of those responsibilities.
We all want to lack nothing, to be mature and have complete faith but James tells us that we can only get there by having the endurance to persevere through trials. Trials are a given but how we handle them determines whether we grow, or become bitter. Job reminds us that trials often bring out the worst of us but we need to choose to reject our own understanding and repent when we forget who God is in the midst ofour pain.
As mothers and Christians, we have a responsibility to be mindful of the seeds we sow. We must carefully choose whether we plant seeds that please the Holy Spirit and produce the Fruit of the Spirit, or seeds of the flesh that lead to death and decay. Remember that the seeds we choose to plant will have an impact on generations to come.
The Bible says to set your mind on the things above. How should the reality of our citizenship in Heaven impact our life on earth. We have an inheritance that should guide our lives this side of Heaven.
God wants us to seek Him and grow in our relationship with Him. His will is that we should be sanctified. How does that affect us? And how does it impact our relationship with Him? In this sermon, I will discuss how God uses the trials in our lives to draw us closer to him and be more like Jesus.

Welcome to 2024! Tune in as Pastor Maria speaks on how integrity pays out over a lifetime, not a moment.
To end off an amazing year, Pastor James expresses hope for the future of the church and gives us a call to action on how we press into this coming new year!
Our tradition here at NLC can be relatable to some of our listeners who on Christmas Eve read or listen to the traditional biblical story relating to why we celebrate Christmas in the first place; which is the coming of our Messiah. As Pastor James expresses, sit back, relax and enjoy.
What do the names that Jesus was called in prophesy really mean? He brings the miraculous, the strength of armies, forever will love us, and freedom through peace but came in package that was so unexpected that some missed him. Are we missing God’s blessings because we don’t understand the package.
It's that time of year again! Join us as Pastors Ben, Kristin, Maria and James answer YOUR questions that were submitted in past weeks. Questions relating to missing biblical books, sin and forgiveness, crystals and even questions relating to our pastors and their relationships with our congregants. Buckle up!
Words can bring death or life. The can change the atmosphere around us and the course of our own lives. God tells us to tame our tongue and God wants to redeem it for His glory.

Pastor Kristin shares with us during our sermon series "The Verse That Changed My Life"
We are simple clay jars. Created uniquely by God to serve a purpose, to allow him to shape our lives to become a living letter written to those around us by God's love and grace.
Pastor James continues our series "The Verse That Changed My Life" while preaching on the passage in Matthew 6:14-15.
Pastor Graham preaches on Proverbs 3:5-6 for our sermon series "The Verse That Changed My Life".
"This sermon is getting into what it really means to give God your heart. What does it look like to trust God with everything? Why should we trust Him?"
Pastor James preaches on Galatians chapter 5 and 6
"We've been set free , and that freedom comes with purpose and intention as we walk through life with others."
Is my life on track to “lack nothing” as James 1 says? There are two ways to live according to the book of James. Steady or tossed.
While we were still imprisoned in our own sin, God made a way for us to be free and to know Him!
We can miss the purpose and presence of God when we forgot that ground we are standing on is Holy Ground. He has a purpose for us but we need to take off the things of this world or we will never fully experience it. We need to allow God to transform us in order to move us.
The kingdom of Judah hears of God’s judgement over their enemies, and God is faithful to uphold His justice.
Through the letter to Titus we see that God’s heart for his people is to be transformed by the power of his grace to live with integrity both in private and in public, impacting the faith of believers and the world around them because of their authenticity. We see a theme of God calling people to a life of fruitfulness and goodness even while they are stuck in sin. God, through Paul’s letter to Titus, proclaims victory over a people in advance and redeems their history of worshiping false gods into a future of people of real faith in Jesus.
Habakkuk is a book recording a conversation between the author and the “Author of Life”, where he complains and God humbles him coining one of the most important phrases in all scripture; “the righteous will live by faith”. Speaking to the prophet, the nation of Judah and all of mankind at once!
Pride and its resulting actions are costly. Pride can block our ability to hear God's voice and can come with a very hefty price tag.
We are called to prioritize obedience to God above all other things. Our actions matter but so does our heart. We need to be willing to follow God’s will for our lives not just out of obligation but in wholehearted obedience.
Graham will be giving a general overview of the book of Jude. He will be focusing on the implications of false teaching and how to contend for the faith.
Who you are, is dropped into fatherhood. Becoming a Dad doesn't change you, it elevates what's already within you. Are we imitators or God? Or a hurting past?
Pastor Maria is preaching about Third John. To walk in truth means to walk consistent with the truth you believe and in a way that is real and genuine.
In Second John, the elder briefly explains the relationship between the three: Truth, Love and Obedience. How can we walk in these?
Pastor Ben preaching this morning on why it's important to remain in Christian fellowship and in the body of Christ.
We believe in the power of redemption; We believe in the power of reconciliation; We believe in the soul-saving, eternity-changing, and life-giving words of Christ that say (John 3:17): “For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.”
Happy Mother's Day! We are called to Generational Impact. What does this mean, and how can we leave a Legacy that lasts?
This week Pastor Rob is preaching from Philippians 4:4-9 and sharing a handful of wisdom.
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear thoughthe earth gives way.
We need to find our testimony in the middle of our trial and pain. The greatest testament toGod’s goodness is how he gets us through not the victory on the other side. God is presentand often is doing the most vital work in and through while we are in the darkest moments oflife.
This is the last part of our GHOST series. Ben is talking about the spiritual gifts of compassion.
Happy Resurrection Sunday! Today, we celebrate the power of the resurrection and what it means for our lives as believers in Jesus Christ. Today, we celebrate the most significant event in human history: the resurrection of Jesus Christ! Through His death and resurrection, we have the power to be forgiven, to be raised to new life, and to have hope in our eternal destiny. This is not just another Sunday, but rather a day...THE day...that changed the course of humanity. The resurrection of Jesus is the foundation of our faith, and it gives us hope for not just a better future, but an eternity of life rather than death.
Today we are going to be talking about the KNOW gifts. This includes wisdom, knowledge, discernment and teaching.
We’re continuing on with the gifts that come from the Holy Ghost. We’re looking at the “speaking” gifts that accompany the many gifts that God gives us through His Holy Spirit. When the Holy Ghost speaks, there is order; structure; intent; focus; super-natural knowledge and instruction which always points us back to the Father.
This week, Pastor Maria is preaching about acting on the Holy Spirit. We are given spiritual Gifts, but how do we use them? The four main Gifts we’re focusing on are Pastoring, Administration, Apostleship, and Leadership.
Drenched is being lead by the spirit wherever he takes you, typically out of your comforts zone. We’ll talk about the importance of Holy Spirit baptism. Both from Jesus baptism and the disciples in Acts 2.
Jesus is the bridegroom and we are invited into communion with Him and given The Holy Ghost.
The Holy Ghost brings intimacy and power to our relationship with God. Pastor Maria is speaking about how we can get this through surrendering to Him.
The Holy Ghost is present throughout the entirety of scripture. Today, at the beginning of this series, we want to establish WHO the Holy Ghost is, the AUTHORITY the Holy Ghost has, the PERSONHOOD of the Holy Ghost, and what the Holy Ghost DOES in the life of the believer and non-believer.As we go through this series, we will be addressing different aspects of the Holy Ghost and the implications of the work of the Holy Ghost in our lives, in the life of the Bride of Christ (the church), and in the world around us. We will also be establishing the expectations that the church ought to have of the Holy Ghost, and we will have a sober look and firm equipping on what comes from the Holy Ghost and what that actually means for you, for the church, and for our world.
We are all worshippers. It’s how we were designed, and it isn’t a choice we get to make. The choice we have is who or what we worship. There were times when the Israelites decided to worship idols rather than the one true God, and although our idols do not look the same all the time, we are capable of falling into the same trap.
God calls us to not assimilate into culture nor alienate ourselves from culture, but be a blessing and help our communities thrive.
We are talking about complacency and how this type of self-satisfaction can be dangerous. Things may not have gone so well for the Israelites because of this.
We are starting this year off with a sermon series about the Israelites. Pastor Ben will be talking about provision.
Pastor Kristin is finishing up our sermon series with this message of Hope. Stay Regular!
God uses us when we are obedient to the Holy Spirit’s prompting, whenwe understand it is all about JESUS and he gets all the glory! It is not about who weare but he will use who we are.Our only purpose is to look for the Holy Spirit’s guidance to when we should proclaimJesus!Stay Regular!
Simon, a seasoned fisherman, was not doing it. He was not being successful. He was not catching anything. When Simon was Disengaged, Discouraged, Disappointed, Jesus chose…HE CHOSE…. to sit in Simon’s boat. Jesus stepped in when Simon was at his lowest point. If we know we need to go out further and deeper, but everything we’ve tried is failing, we simply can’t muster what it takes to do the next thing. We can’t possibly gather enough courage to take another step to go out further and deeper to where the fish are.Stay Regular!

They struggled with sin, they struggled with disobedience, they struggled with discouragement. What are you tempted for?
When it comes to our relationship with God, are we content putting on a facade so that everyone around us thinks we’re all good? Or are we okay with being laid bare so that The Lord can do His work, irrespective of what man may think looks good?

The sitting at Jesus’ feet produces the knowledge and discernment to do what Jesus wants us to do which prepares the way for miracles.
When it comes to receiving from Jesus, we often and readily discount ourselves because of our attitudes, our traditions, our ideals, our comfort. We want it all to make sense to us. We want to be able to package it. We want to see the entire path laid out before we say yes to the first step! It’s not about what WE want….it’s about what HE wants.
For Easter we’re skipping ahead in the Gospel of John to chapters 20 & 21. James is preaching on Jesus’ Resurrection!

We have a guest Speaker for our Gospel of John Series. Tim Hart will be preaching: “No Running on the Pool Deck”
If you are chasing the experience you will forever be tossed like a wave, but if you are chasing the truth, you will be solidified on a firm foundation.
Jesus has no concern over outward appearances or cultural differences… Jesus is concerned with the heart!
Pastor Rob is going to be focusing on two memorable verses in the gospel of John. They’re simple but much more complex and full when examined in context.
Who has the right to flip tables? Jesus did it. Could we do the same? Will Maria be flipping tables today?

In our culture it is rare to bow or kneel to anything, even when we worship. But it was very common to bow in worship to God in biblical times. What is the reason for kneeling and is it something that we could do in worship even now.
