Are you getting a bigger sense of God's love for you and how much He has always wanted you to be his child? Pentecost is a day of celebration because people were able to get born again for the first time, receive holy spirit, and become children of God! Amazing!
We can't feel deeply for others if we can't connect in our hearts. God and Christ's love make it safe to feel and not be guarded. We can be transformed!
God's plan to send Jesus is amazing! It took a while to find a faithful woman like Mary, who said yes to the calling God had on her life to help raise Christ, and her awesome cousin, Elizabeth, who was also a huge encouragement.
Time at the feet of Christ is powerful! He made a way for us to be with God, so the time we spend with Him has a huge impact on our hearts, how we love others, and how we receive love.
God's vision for your life is bigger! This series will help you build a vision for how wide and big God's love is for you!
So many of us have stopped caring in relationships for fear of getting hurt, or have worked harder to be good enough, but that's not the answer! God's love is the answer! We don't have to be guarded or good enough for God's love to work!
Resentment will never help us, but there is righteous anger that is healthy and helpful to feel when people are being taken advantage of.
People pleasing takes a toll on us, but God can help us be in reality about when we are trying to be the savior for others instead of leading them to His son, Christ Jesus.
Continue with part 2 of "When To Let Go and When To Hang On In Relationships" and when to change the status of a relationship.
Have you ever been confused about when to hang on or when to let go in a relationship? God's word has powerful wisdom on how to do both.
Without God, our negative self-talk can be debilitating, but God's word says to be anxious for nothing! Listen and take in God's powerful and healing truth!
Letting go of the past is a good thing, but we sometimes get stuck because our approach to letting go of the past does not work. God and His amazing word can help!
Enjoy the power of letting go! Take in God's power and love when you let go of things that are holding you back.
We are about relationships! Yes! God designed us to have fellowship with him and others, to have full sharing, and not do life alone.
We are world changers! We can change the world one person at a time when we share the love of Christ!
We are all about that grace! Yes! We are saved by grace, not by what we do for God. Grace is a gift!
We walk in the power of the gift of holy spirit! Learn to walk in the power God has made possible through Christ.
We are seekers! There is much power and freedom in seeking truth with humility versus being dogmatic. God is for all people.
We continue with the one-person matters topic, and how to see people that are hurting through Jesus' love.
One person matters to Christ. He was not part of the cool kids club. It helps our hearts to focus on Jesus Christ! He provides transcendent peace.
Set your eyes on Jesus Christ. Shift your heart to the real reason for celebration! Hear about Jesus and not consumerism, Santa, or the stress of the holidays during this series.
Hear about how being grateful to God and having simple gratitude is powerful and fills us with great peace.
God loves us no matter the choices we make. Christ paid the price, so what we choose to do or if we choose to change is for our benefit. Not to earn or be more lovable to God.

How can you make prayer deep and meaningful and not boring? It's possible to have a rich and exciting prayer life that moves your heart to hear from God!
We get caught up in things that don't matter in the bigger picture of life. God has called us to rise above the small stuff so that we can have a bigger impact, to share his love and Christ with others.
We can rise above not feeling good enough. So many of us have lived life feeling like outsiders, like black sheep, but the way God sees us is different than how the world sees us. We need to know how God looks at us.
Big or small, we get stressed about a lot of things, but hear about how we sometimes get afraid or stressed way before we even have reason to worry. The unknown can be scary, but Jesus Christ calls us to him into unknown places and we can grow in trusting Him!
God works in people that the world overlooks. Enjoy this powerful message about how God worked mighty miracles through people in the Old Testament.
God is bigger than our circumstances! The Book of Daniel is a powerful example of God being bigger than the most challenging situations. Hear about how not to get burned out!
We can sometimes have a mixed-bag kind of faith. We can get stuck thinking that it's all or nothing when it comes to faith, like our faith has to look perfect. There are some areas we let God in and other areas that we don't, but God still loves us and can shift any area of our lives we let him in, and can help us let him in more and more!
Want to include God in your life!?! God can change your life from despair to massive healing, purpose, and joy! Christ heals and transforms us!
Hear about how Christ is for everyone! Preaching Jesus is simply about telling others about what Christ has done for us and what the truth of God's word says about him! Awesome!

The cross represents the power of Christ and God in us! We can learn to own it and step out in that power every day!
Christ has always been God's answer for us to get unstuck from anything we fall short in.
Some of the ways we get stuck are in the way we see ourselves. Lies we believe about ourselves that keep us stuck, but God has a promised land for you and a way to get there.
Loving is winning! We are called to love others, and to win at it! We can move mountains with God's love, which points to God's power. Yes! Let's do it!
We can talk ourselves out of sharing the love of Christ with people because of the fear of rejection, but being bold with God's love never fails! Learn how!
God says we need a rich diet of His word to be spiritually fit, and Christ is the standard of spiritual fitness.
How we relate to money impacts our walk with God. God is for us in this area of life, and we want to move toward trusting God to provide for us and giving to God without fear.
We are in the game of changing lives and passing on healing for God's glory! God's word says that physical exercise profits us a little, but spiritual fitness benefits us in all things.
Christ looked at the multitudes with compassion, with a desire to do something about their pain. He didn't stay on the sidelines. He was moved to do something about the need around him because of the love of God, and so can we.
What Christ accomplished as an adult made it possible for us to have an amazing life today.
Did you know Jesus Christ was a radical and countercultural during his time here on earth!?! Yes! He was about having people not wear masks or pretending like everything was all good. Our culture today still struggles with this. Christ came to set us free.

Pastor Nancy Berwid shares a lit message about being deliberate about the company we keep to have awesome relationships, because too often we have become guarded because of being hurt by people. As a result, this also impacts how we let God's love in or not.
Lead Pastor, Nancy Berwid, shares an awesome message about how sometimes unanswered prayers cause us to doubt God, but how knowing what's in God's word and will also impacts our believing and expectations that God will answer our prayers.
God's word has logical answers to why horrible and bad things happen in the world. God's word shows that God is truly love, and not causing horrific things to happen to us, so that we can learn to be stronger or teach us some greater lesson from it.
Our amazing Lead Pastor, Nancy Berwid, shares an awesome message about how to deal with doubt and how it's not always good or bad, but more about what we are doubting and whether something is trustworthy or not.
What a moving message about how we can expect miracles and change the world around us, one life at a time.
Episode 9: Free from Fear
What would your life look like if fear didn’t hold you back?
In this final episode of Set Free, Lead Pastor Nancy Berwid shares how fear—whether it’s anxiety about the future, fear of rejection, financial pressure, or just the sense of not being “enough”—can quietly shape our decisions and steal our peace.
She opens up about a personal moment in her marriage to illustrate how fear can surface even in our closest relationships, and how trusting God shifts everything. Through scripture and real-life examples, Nancy shows how fear loses its grip when we choose to believe God’s promises and build our lives on His truth.
This episode unpacks the difference between just hoping things will work out and having real faith. It’s about choosing what you feed your thoughts with and surrounding yourself with the kind of fellowship that keeps your spirit strong.
If fear’s been whispering lies into any part of your life, this teaching will remind you that you have a choice—and that freedom is already yours. Let’s finish the series by stepping boldly into the peace God offers.
Episode 8: Set Free Financially
What if the path to financial peace wasn’t about how much you earn, but how much you trust? In this episode, Lead Pastor Nancy Berwid explores what true financial freedom looks like through a biblical lens. From navigating debt and spending habits to embracing generosity and the practice of tithing, this teaching reminds us that money is not just a practical issue—it’s deeply spiritual.
Nancy shares practical tools alongside powerful scripture to help shift our mindset from fear to faith. Whether it’s building discipline, learning contentment, or honoring God with your first fruits, each step becomes an opportunity to invite God into your finances.
This episode offers hope and clarity for anyone feeling the pressure of money struggles and reminds us that putting God first brings peace, provision, and freedom.
Episode 7: Free from Anger and the Freedom in Forgiving
Can anger ever be a good thing? This episode unpacks the difference between righteous anger, the kind that fuels justice, and the destructive kind that traps us in bitterness and resentment. Pastor Nancy shares how unchecked anger can mask deeper emotions like fear and insecurity, keeping us from experiencing the peace and freedom God wants for us.
She explores how forgiveness isn’t about minimizing hurt or blindly trusting again, but rather about releasing the weight of past wrongs and stepping into the grace we’ve already received. And as she shares a personal moment from her own marriage, when a heated phone call left her husband fearful she’d walk away, she reminds us that even in our messiest moments, grace and reconciliation are always possible.
Through biblical truth and practical steps, this teaching invites us to let go, trust God’s justice, and find true strength—not in holding onto anger, but in choosing to forgive.
Episode 6: From Shame to Grace!
Shame has a way of keeping us stuck, believing we are defined by our past or our shortcomings. But what if we could be set free? In this episode, Host Mentor Patty Vazquez explores the power of God’s grace to heal even the deepest shame—the kind that lingers from our mistakes, our fears, or even the circumstances we had no control over. She shares how stepping into God’s presence brings freedom, reminding us that His love is not based on what we do but on who He is.
Through scripture and personal reflection, Patty unpacks how shame is never from God, but grace is always His answer. Whether it’s past failures, insecurities, or hidden struggles, we don’t have to carry them alone. Freedom comes when we stop hiding, boldly approach God, and let His truth restore us. Because no matter where we’ve been or what we’ve believed about ourselves, His grace covers it all.
Episode 5: Never a Loss! Brings Freedom
What if loving others, even those who aren’t safe, didn’t have to cost you peace? Worship Pastor Susan Chung Beaudry unpacks how agape love, God’s supernatural, unwavering love, allows us to give without depletion and care without compromise. She shares how true freedom isn’t found in avoiding difficult people but in trusting that God’s love is enough to sustain and protect us.
We see this in Jesus, who loved without fear even when faced with rejection, betrayal, and opposition. Susan reminds us that loving others isn’t about people-pleasing or enduring toxic relationships but about staying connected to the limitless love of Christ. When we rely on His love rather than our own, we gain a peace that the world can’t take away no matter the circumstances.
Episode 4: Freedom to Love – Part 1
What does it really mean to love wisely? Too often, we find ourselves trapped in toxic relationships—giving trust too soon, staying in unhealthy dynamics, or allowing others to shape our self-worth. In this episode, Pastor Nancy explores what it means to set healthy boundaries, guard our hearts, and build trust where it’s truly earned. She challenges the idea that trust should be given automatically, highlighting the importance of discernment in our relationships.
Through scripture and real-life examples, we break down the traits of safe and unsafe people, the power of humility over self-righteousness, and how owning our flaws leads to true connection. Nancy also touches on the ways we deceive ourselves—like justifying dishonesty, even when the truth would have led to the same outcome. As we walk in God’s love, we’re called not only to recognize who is trustworthy, but to become trustworthy ourselves.
Episode 3: Freed from Our Past
Are you carrying burdens from your past that make you feel unworthy or stuck? In this episode, Lead Pastor Nancy takes a compassionate look at how old regrets, wounds, and even harsh religious encounters can keep us from experiencing true freedom. She touches on how painful experiences can distort our perception of a loving God, making it easy to feel defined by shame or past failures. Yet we learn that God’s grace offers a powerful path to healing. By honestly grieving what’s been lost and replacing lies with truth, we open the door for transformation.
Pastor Nancy shows that grace isn’t a reward for perfect performance—it’s a gift that invites us to come as we are, with all our flaws and brokenness. When we let God’s love into the places we’ve tried to hide, we can let go of shame and discover a future unbound by old hurts. If you’ve ever felt trapped by your past or believed you were beyond redemption, this episode will inspire you to press forward, trusting that the kindness and freedom God offers can turn even the darkest chapters into a story of hope.
What lies have you believed about yourself? In Episode 2, Lead Pastor Nancy Berwid takes us on a journey to uncover the falsehoods that keep us captive—whether they come from others, our past experiences, or the world around us. These lies, no matter how deeply ingrained, can steal our joy and distance us from God. Through powerful scriptures, Pastor Nancy shows us how the truth of God’s Word is the key to lasting freedom and transformation.
Replacing lies with God’s truth isn’t just about feeling better—it’s about breaking strongholds and stepping into the life God has for you. No matter your circumstances or your past, nothing can separate you from God’s love. Even when life feels as uncertain as a leaky roof, faith in God’s promises keeps us grounded and strong. Tune in to discover how to renew your mind, embrace God’s Word, and find joy in the truth.
What does freedom look like in your life? In this brand-new series kicking off the year, Lead Pastor Nancy Berwid explores how God’s Word promises to set us free—from fear, shame, and the lies we tell ourselves, to financial struggles, anxiety, and beyond. Through His truth, we’re called into a life of freedom where joy, love, and purpose flourish.
In this first episode, we’ll look at Jesus’ powerful encounter with a man consumed by darkness, living among the tombs. This man, seemingly too far gone, experienced the transformational compassion of Christ and was set free to share his story. If no one is beyond God’s reach, what does it mean for us to invite Him into our struggles and let His truth transform us? Join us as we discover how God’s truth brings lasting freedom and sets the stage for an extraordinary year ahead!
"True freedom doesn’t come from trying harder—it comes from walking in grace."
In the previous episode, we began exploring God’s grace and how it brings joy into our lives. This time, we dive deeper into the tension between grace and works and what it truly means to walk in the Spirit. Paul’s letter to the Galatians reminds us that grace, not law, produces the fruits of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, and more. These aren’t achieved by our efforts but flow naturally when we rely on God’s unmerited favor.
Living by the Spirit transforms how we experience life. It frees us from the weight of trying to earn worth through works and keeps us from being entangled in the "yoke of bondage." Grace invites us to a life of freedom, joy, and purpose—not by striving, but by trusting in Christ.
What does it mean to have courage, faith, and joy in the face of the impossible?
In this heartwarming finale to the Oh Joy! series, Lead Pastor Nancy Berwid takes us back to the miraculous story of the birth of Christ. Together, we’ll explore the incredible courage of Mary and Joseph—two ordinary people called to an extraordinary purpose. Despite facing danger, ridicule, and immense uncertainty, their faith and obedience paved the way for the greatest gift of all: Jesus, our Savior.
Pastor Nancy dives into key scriptures to reveal the deep joy that comes from saying "yes" to God, even in challenging circumstances. We’ll see how their willingness to trust God’s plan brought immeasurable blessings—not just to them, but to the entire world. This episode is a celebration of faith, courage, and the life-changing joy that comes with stepping into God’s calling for us.
Let’s wrap up this series with gratitude, inspiration, and the courage to say “yes” to God’s purpose for our lives!
What gives you strength when life feels overwhelming? In this episode, Lead Pastor Nancy Berwid delves into the powerful truth that the joy of the Lord is our strength. We’ll explore how engaging deeply with God’s Word—not as a duty but as a delight—can transform our hearts and minds, filling us with unshakable joy and resilience. Drawing from passages like Nehemiah 8 and Matthew 13, Nancy highlights how the Word can be planted in our lives, nurturing joy and producing strength even in challenging seasons.
Nancy also shares practical steps for receiving, retaining, and releasing the Word, showing how meditating on Scripture and applying it to daily life can lead to lasting change. Whether you’re feeling stuck, dry, or simply curious about how God’s Word can bear fruit in your life, this episode is packed with inspiration and tools to help you stay rooted in the joy and strength of the Lord. Join us and experience the life-changing power of God’s Word!
Did you know that thanksgiving can unlock steady joy and peace—even in the hardest circumstances? In Episode 6, Worship Pastor Susan Chung Beaudry leads us through the transformative power of gratitude, a choice that connects us to God’s presence and renews our spirits. Giving thanks isn’t about ignoring challenges or pretending they don’t hurt—it’s about focusing on God’s goodness and what He has done, even in the middle of life’s storms. Drawing inspiration from stories like Daniel in the lion’s den and Jesus giving thanks before feeding the multitudes, we’ll explore how gratitude can shift our perspective and bring supernatural peace.
We’ll also discuss the joy of giving—how God’s design for financial giving frees us from the stress of money and allows us to rely on Him as our ultimate provider. Through scriptures like Philippians 4:6 and 2 Corinthians 9:6, Pastor Susan uncovers how thanksgiving is both an act of faith and an expression of worship. Whether it’s offering thanks in prayer, giving financially, or simply acknowledging blessings, this episode will inspire you to embrace the life-changing joy that comes through a thankful heart.
"Joy isn’t just for this life—God promises us eternal joy through Christ’s return."
Fellowship fills our lives with joy, but there’s an even greater promise: Jesus is coming back! The resurrection of Christ is not only the cornerstone of our faith but also a preview of what’s to come. 1 Corinthians 15 reveals that those who have fallen asleep in Christ will rise at His return, and we will all be transformed into new, incorruptible creations.
This hope isn’t abstract—it’s deeply personal. Host Mentor Patty Vazquez dives into how Christ’s return brings an end to pain, death, and sorrow, replacing them with life, victory, and unshakable joy. If you’ve ever wrestled with loss or wondered about life’s greater purpose, this episode will show you how God’s promises can bring true comfort and hope.
"What if true joy isn’t something you find on your own, but something you share with others?"
In the last episode, we explored how grace frees us to walk in the Spirit and bear the fruit of joy. In episode 4 of our OH JOY! series, we shift our focus to fellowship and its power to bring deep, lasting joy. Fellowship isn’t just attending a meeting or being part of a group—it’s about sharing life, love, and purpose with others as brothers and sisters in Christ. Acts 2:42 shows the early church steadfastly devoted to teaching, prayer, and breaking bread together, experiencing gladness and simplicity of heart.
Fellowship brings healing, encouragement, and unity when it’s rooted in God’s love. As Philippians 2:1-2 reminds us, we are called to be of one accord and one mind, esteeming others and sharing joyfully in each other’s lives. Through this connection, we refresh one another and see God’s presence in action. Joy flourishes when we do life together, not as isolated individuals, but as a spiritual family walking in God’s love and purpose.
Why is it so hard to believe in God’s grace? In this second episode of the Oh Joy! series, we delve into Luke 15, where Jesus uses the parables of the lost sheep, the lost coin, and the prodigal son to show us that grace is unearned, unending, and deeply personal. God’s love doesn’t wait for us to “get it together.” Instead, He seeks us out, rejoices when we return, and restores us fully. “There is more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance” (Luke 15:7).
Grace is more than forgiveness—it’s God’s unmerited favor, freely given even when we feel unworthy. Yet, like the older son in the prodigal son’s story, we can struggle to accept it, clinging to pride or resentment. Romans 5:8 reminds us, “While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” God’s love is a gift, not a reward for our efforts. When we truly grasp this, we find joy in His presence and freedom from the weight of shame or self-righteousness. Will you let go and embrace His grace today?
In episode 1 of the OH JOY! series, Pastor Nancy of Searchlight Fellowship highlights the difference between happiness and joy. Happiness depends on good circumstances, but true joy comes from God’s presence and remains unshaken even in hard times. Psalm 16:11 says, “In Your presence is fullness of joy.” Pastor Nancy encourages us to let go of relying on “other gods”—like success, relationships, or comfort—and instead focus on God’s vast love and promises.
Jesus reminds us in John 16:24, “Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.” By abiding in Him and trusting His Word, we can experience joy that transcends life’s ups and downs. Joy isn’t just for good days—it’s for every day, as we stay close to God and walk in His unchanging love. “I bring you good tidings of great joy,” says Luke 2:10. This joy is here, and it’s for you!
