Good Friday is a reminder of the moment Jesus stood before the world – mocked, rejected, and crowned with thorns. The soldiers twist together this crown and press it onto Jesus’ head in cruel mockery of His claim to kingship. Yet this moment reveals something deeper. The same thorns that entered the story in Genesis as part of a broken world are now borne by Jesus Himself. In silence, He endures injustice, violence, and humiliation, though even Pilate could find no fault in Him. The King of truth stands in the face of a world that twists, distorts, and resists God. Reflect with Pastor Louis on the depth of Christ’s suffering, the reality of injustice, and the powerful truth of who Jesus really is. Join us as we remember the One who entered our pain, carried the curse, and chose the cross – for us.
In Jerusalem’s temple courts, Simeon held a baby in his arms and saw what he and many generations of Israelites had been waiting – aching – for. But Simeon wasn’t simply waiting; he was waiting well: righteous, devout, attentive to the Holy Spirit, and ready to move when God spoke.Let Pastor Louis tell you more and enter into this moment with Simeon:A man led by the Spirit.A promise finally fulfilled.A life’s purpose quietly completed with the words, ‘My eyes have seen your salvation.’We celebrate more than a birth on Christmas Day – we celebrate God’s comfort made visible, His salvation in Jesus becoming like us, and His hope made unstoppable.
What does it mean for the Church to walk in Kingdom authority today? In this message, Luxolo Kentane wraps up our Faith Promise pledge season and explores how Jesus entrusts us, His followers, with the keys of the Kingdom – not for personal gain, but to declare the truth of Jesus’ authority over darkness, oppression, and sin. Through binding and loosing, prayer becomes the engine of Kingdom power, aligning earth with heaven. As we pray for heaven to come on earth and live surrendered lives, God’s will advances, lives are transformed, and His reign is revealed in our world. 📖 Matthew 6:9-10 | Matthew 16:19 🙌 Let’s discover together how God calls His Church to represent Him on earth.
How do you stay steady when life is uncertain? In Philippians 4, Paul writes while under house arrest with surprising confidence – he’s discovered the secret to real peace and lasting joy. It’s not in possessions, power, or control. It’s in contentment. The kind that comes from knowing who you belong to and trusting in God’s provision, no matter what.In this Sunday message, Pastor Louis explores what it means to live a life unplugged from worldly dependence and deeply rooted in Christ. Peace and joy aren’t far off – they’re found in the presence of Jesus.
In the Kingdom of God, relationships aren’t optional – they’re essential. This week, Pastor Louis zooms in on something deeply human and deeply spiritual: relationships. From Paul’s closing greetings in Colossians 4 to his bold call in chapter 3 to put off sins that divide, we’re reminded that how we relate to others is a reflection of who we are in Christ. Even under house arrest, Paul’s life overflowed with meaningful connection. Friends visited. Captors respected him. His relational world was full, even in chains. Contrast that with today’s loneliness epidemic. The difference? Paul’s life was anchored in Jesus and given over to something greater than himself. We’ll explore: ✔️The beauty and challenge of Christian community. ✔️Why greed and idolatry aren’t just personal sins – they fracture relationships. ✔️What it means to live with relational integrity in a divided world. ✔️How “the immoderate love of possessing” (Aquinas) pulls us away from love, purpose, and joy. ✔️And how the presence of Jesus makes a real, relational difference in how we live with one another. Let’s live lives that are undivided, where our hearts are fully the Lord’s and our relationships reflect His grace, truth, and love. 💬 “Grace be with you.” Colossians 4 🔔 Subscribe & Share
You can’t live a resurrection life without first dying to the old one. Pastor Louis moves into the heart of Christian transformation in Colossians 3. Here, Paul gets practical in his letter, calling believers not just to believe in Christ but to become like Him. This means putting to death the old self: sinful desires, fractured relationships, disunity, and distorted sexual morality. In a world that encourages self-expression at all costs, Colossians invites us to something deeper: a life of death and resurrection in Jesus. Explore: 🤝Why following Jesus begins from above, not below. 🤝How our identity in Christ calls us to a radically countercultural morality. 🤝What Paul really means by sexual immorality – rooted in a Jewish moral framework that stood in stark contrast to Roman norms. 🤝How greed, lust, and division are all symptoms of a disordered heart – and how Christ reorders everything. 🤝What it means to “reconfigure your earthly life by the rule of Christ from above”. This is a message about wholeness, holiness, and unity in the body of Christ. No cultural, class, or gender division. No mixing of morality. No part-time faith. Just Jesus – and the new you. 🕊️ “Set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated … For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.” Colossians 3 🔔 Subscribe & Share
We’re not just invited to believe in Jesus – we’re called to be filled with Him. In Colossians 2, Paul confronts deceptive ideas that threaten to replace Christ with lesser cosmic claims, including legalism, mysticism, philosophy, and spiritual forces. He reminds the Colossians, and us, that we don’t need to add anything to Jesus. Why? Because in Him, the fullness of God dwells, and we have been given fullness in Him. In this message, Pastor Louis explores Christian cosmology – the grand story of creation, fall, redemption, and restoration with Jesus at the very centre. It’s not a tribal or partial Gospel. It’s a universal truth for all of creation. You’ll discover: 🌿Why Jesus isn’t just part of your life – He is your life. 🌿 How our worldviews are shaped by what we believe about the cosmos. 🌿 The dangers of fine-sounding arguments and hollow philosophies. 🌿 And the wonder of Christ, not only over the universe, but alive in you. Let’s deepen our confidence in the complete, undivided Christ who fills every space – heaven, earth, and the human heart. 🕊️ “For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, and in Christ you have been brought to fullness.” Colossians 2:9-10 🔔 Subscribe & Share
Some things are ruined when you add to them. In the letter to the Colossians, Paul opens with a powerful declaration of Christ’s supremacy. The Colossians were being tempted to blend the Gospel with other beliefs – ceremony, legalism, angel worship, hidden knowledge. But Paul makes it clear: Jesus is not just part of the story – He is the WHOLE story. In this message, Pastor Louis unpacks what happens when we try to add to Jesus – and why that addition ultimately leads to subtraction. We’ll also look at modern forms of spiritual syncretism and how to remain steadfast in a culture that constantly tempts us to blend the Gospel with personal preferences or cultural norms. Jesus + Nothing = Everything. 🔔 Subscribe & Share
Parenting is one of the most meaningful – and often the most challenging – callings we can step into. But here’s the hope: we’re not called to do it alone. In this message, Ben Pinches unpacks what it means to build a household where Jesus is truly at home – where grace, truth, and love shape the atmosphere for both parents and children. From Deuteronomy to Ephesians, Scripture calls the home the first and most formative place of discipleship. 1 Corinthians 15:58 reminds us that our labour in the Lord is never in vain – even when parenting feels exhausting or unseen. Whether you’re a parent, guardian, grandparent, or part of the village raising the next generation, your presence matters. We explore four powerful ways God models His Father heart – He is present, He protects, He provides, and He prepares. This same pattern offers wisdom for our own parenting journey, including practical encouragement on topics such as social media, boundaries, and intentional rhythms of discipleship within the home. We’ll also take time for ministry and prayer, reminding each other that God doesn’t call us to perfection, but to faithful presence. 👨👩👧👦 Let’s discover how our homes become holy ground when Jesus is at the centre.
What does it mean to live generously at home? This week’s message by our guest speaker, Dan Backens, explores how Jesus transforms our households into places of peace, purpose, and radical generosity. From 1 Peter 4:10, we’re reminded that every home is a space to steward God’s grace, not just in words, but through serving and giving. But to walk in true generosity, we must confront the spirit of poverty – the fear and scarcity mindset that keeps us holding back. Proverbs 11 tells us that the generous will prosper, and those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed. We’ll also reflect on the unmatched generosity of Christ – “though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor” (2 Corinthians 8:9). His goodness becomes our motivation to give freely, cheerfully, and intentionally. This message is about real-life stewardship – of finances, time, work, and gifts – all used to bless others and honour God. Let’s discover how our homes can reflect the generous heart of Jesus. 🔔 Subscribe & Share
What are we filling our homes with? In this message, Pastor Louis explores how to build a household grounded in prayer, devotion, and presence, not just rules or routines, but a living relationship with Jesus at the centre.Drawing from Joshua 24 and Jesus’ teaching about building on the rock, not the sand, we’re invited to make intentional choices about how we live in and lead our homes. Whether married or single, living alone or with family, each of us can cultivate a space where devotion to God isn’t reserved for Sundays, but woven into our daily rhythms. We’ll look at what it means to be rooted in God’s love rather than legalism, to create space for UP (with God), IN (with others), and OUT (into the world) right where we are. Wisdom in multi-media, food, rest, and relationships matters. So does making time for reflection, prayer, and shared spiritual practices.Let’s learn together how to welcome Jesus into everything – and see our homes become places of peace, strength, and an integrated, growing spiritual life.🔔 Subscribe & Share
Welcome to the first message in our miniseries, where we explore what it means to be truly at home with Jesus, whether you’re single or married. In Scripture, the word “oikos” (Greek for “house” or “household”) doesn’t just refer to a building – it speaks of your relational world. Your family, friends, neighbours, and anyone you do life with. This is where the Gospel first takes root and we begin living out our faith.📖 Throughout the New Testament, we see how households – of all shapes and sizes – were places where lives were transformed and disciples were made. Married or single, you have a household, and God wants to be at the centre of it.In 1 Corinthians 7:17, Paul reminds us to honour God in whatever relationship space we find ourselves. He even calls singleness a gift – just as marriage is. Both are valuable, blessed, and part of God’s design.🙌 The goal? Matthew 6:33 – seek first the Kingdom, and everything else falls into place. Let’s explore what it looks like to build our homes around who God is – not just structures, but sacred spaces of love, grace, and purpose.🔔 Subscribe & Share
“He is not here – He is risen!”On Resurrection Sunday, we celebrate the victory of Jesus – not just a great teacher or prophet, but God Himself, risen from the dead. The empty tomb declares it: Christ is alive, and nothing will ever be the same.💥 Christ’s resurrection confirms His divinity, and He is the pioneer of a movement that spans the globe. Jesus went first, defeating sin and death – and now a train of millions follow in His steps.Like David’s surprising triumph over Goliath, the cross was the unexpected place of victory. Paul tells us in 1 Corinthians 15, “The last enemy to be destroyed is death”, and Jesus has already struck the decisive blow.🙌 We rejoice in the wonder of the cross – both Jesus crucified on it and now empty – and celebrate the joy, hope, and life it gives us. The grave could not hold Him. He is the only true, living King.Let’s celebrate together the power of the wondrous cross!🔔 Subscribe & Share
The cross is more than a symbol – it’s a diagnosis and a cure. It’s not just where Jesus died; it’s where our deepest wounds and sins are exposed and where healing begins. On Good Friday, we reflect on the outrageous truth of the cross:💔 That Jesus – both physician and medicine (as Saint Augustine said) – chose the path of suffering to heal and restore us and all of creation.📖 1 Peter 2 tells us: “… by his wounds, you have been healed.”The cross comforts and confronts. It reveals the sickness of our sin and the power of God’s love. It calls out injustice, pride, and brokenness – and restores our relationships with God, one another, and even the earth.📍Crucified like a criminal outside the city, Jesus stood with the outcast, the poor, and the forgotten. Good Friday reminds us that salvation came from the margins, and no one is left out of His redemptive story.Join us as we journey to the foot of the outrageous cross – where death became life, pain birthed healing, and the world was turned upside down.🔔 Subscribe & Share
Ever feel like the world is just... loud right now? Conflicting voices, constant debates, and a rising pressure to pick a side. In John 7, the crowd around Jesus asked the same thing we often ask today: Who’s right? What’s right? The crowd was torn. Is Jesus a political figure? A prophet? A threat? Sound familiar? In our world of populism, nationalism, and toxic certainty, it’s easy to cling to belief systems that oversimplify the truth and demand emotional certainty. But Jesus offers something deeper.✨ “… he who sent me is true.” (John 7:28)Jesus invites us to anchor our clarity not in opinions but in the unchanging character of God – truthful, reliable, and good (Exodus 34).Pastor Louis’s message explores how we navigate confusion not by grasping for control but by grounding ourselves in who God is. When we start there, clarity begins to emerge – even in chaos.📍Join us as we seek clarity amidst confusion.🔔 Subscribe & Share
If you’ve ever felt like your prayers go unanswered or that heaven is silent, you’re not alone. The psalmist cried out, “Do not hide your face from me” (Psalm 27:9), and even Jesus Himself prayed, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” (Matthew 27:46). Divine hiddenness is a mystery – but could it also be the very ground of faith? Mother Teresa, a symbol of unwavering devotion, wrestled with deep spiritual darkness. Some of her words reveal the tension of longing for God in the silence. 🔍 Naaman’s story in 2 Kings 5 teaches us about humility and surrender. It’s hard to ask for help and even harder to accept it in ways we don’t expect. Faith isn’t about making God fit into our comfort – it’s about stepping down, yielding, and trusting. Join Pastor Louis as we explore faith in the silence, hope in the hiddenness, and the journey of stepping down to find God in unexpected places. 🔔 Subscribe & Share
In Jeremiah 18, the prophet visits the potter’s house. What he sees is a powerful picture of God’s sovereignty, purpose, and transforming love. 🔥 The Potter’s hands shape with intention. 🌀 The wheel is where surrender and process take place. 🪨 The clay is formed, refined, and made ready to withstand the fire. Just as clay in the hands of a potter, we are shaped by God’s love, wisdom, and purpose. The process isn’t always easy, but He takes infinite care and is forming us to reflect His image – strong, whole, and ready for what’s ahead. Are you willing to yield to the Potter’s hands? Join us and Letichia Dlamini as we explore what it means to be shaped by God and how the process leads to transformation.
What and who we honour shapes our cultures. From influencers to public figures – honour determines who gets our attention, earns our respect, and holds influence. But what does true honour look like from a Kingdom perspective?🗨️ In this final message of the series, we unpack biblical honour – not as an outdated concept but as a powerful and relevant value for today. Honouring well begins with honouring God, then flows outward as we honour all people, parents, leaders, and one another as created in God’s image.💡 Honour shouldn’t flow in one direction. It’s a mutual value that reflects the heart of God and strengthens community.Let’s finish strong together, building a Hatfield culture that honours God and people well.🔔 Subscribe & Share
We believe the Church isn’t just a gathering – it’s a community living out God’s values and a prophetic witness to the world. A true Christian community is built on Christ’s selfless love, not comfort or preference. 💬 “By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another” (John 13:35). Our love is our loudest testimony. In a world of isolated crowds, we’re a community on a mission, forming real relationships through community groups, volunteer teams, prayer groups, and social gatherings – spaces where life and faith are shared. Some are intergenerational, others age-specific, but all reflect our heart for deep, grace-filled relationships. 🌍 We celebrate diverse backgrounds, believing a united – not uniform – Church reflects God’s Kingdom. 💒 As our vision says: God’s Kingdom in hearts, homes, and beyond. We invest in marriages and families but also walk with singles, single parents, blended families, guardians, and the widowed, each serving Christ in their context. Church isn’t just about Sunday. Let’s live God’s love daily, in every space and relationship. 🔔 Subscribe & Share
Following Jesus takes intentional effort. Paul compares it to athletic training – we don’t earn salvation, but we work on our sanctification, becoming more like Jesus (1 Corinthians 9). As Dallas Willard said, “Grace is not opposed to effort, it is opposed to earning.” 🔼 UP – Deepening our relationship with God through worship, prayer, and His Word. 🤝 IN – Growing in community, building meaningful relationships, and sharpening one another. 🌍 OUT – Living on mission, sharing the whole Gospel, and serving as Jesus did. Most of us are naturally stronger in one or two of these areas – but whole-life discipleship means growing in all three. What’s your next step? Let’s grow together as a family of Jesus followers! 🔔 Subscribe & Share
At Hatfield, worship and prayer are at the heart of who we are. We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, empowering believers to be Christ’s witnesses. The gifts of the Spirit are given for the building up of the Church, and we make space for His presence both in our gatherings and daily lives. 💡 The Church was birthed on Pentecost (Acts 2), filled with the Spirit, and sent into the world. Our gatherings reflect this: multi-ethnic, multigenerational, grounded in the Word, empowered by the Spirit, and sent on mission. ⛪ The Church is not just an institution – it is organic, with Christ as the head and foundation. Leaders are given to equip the saints (Ephesians 4:12), not to dominate. We guard against the overemphasis on apostles and prophets that places supernatural experiences or political power above biblical truth. Instead, we embrace a naturally supernatural spirituality, worshipping boldly, praying fervently, and living out our faith daily. 🌎 We are the scattered Church, taking His presence onto every frontline – our homes, workplaces, and communities. Healthy church growth isn’t about power but transformation – hearts surrendered, lives changed, and the Gospel lived out. Let’s worship, pray, and build His Kingdom together – gathered and scattered. 🔔 Subscribe & Share
At Hatfield, we don’t separate life into “sacred” and “secular” – all of life is meant to be lived for God (Matthew 22:37). Our faith isn’t just about church gatherings; it’s about how we live every day, in every space. We are whole-life disciples, called to make an impact wherever we go. 💡 While the world chases power and influence, Jesus came to serve. He didn’t rely on power and prestige but changed the world by laying down His life. The Church is meant to reflect this. Speaking truth to power is not about dominance but radical humility, justice, and love. 🔥 Every believer is an ambassador of the Kingdom (Ephesians 4:12; 2 Corinthians 5:20). Our frontline is wherever God has placed us – our workplaces, schools, and communities. We are the workers (Matthew 9:38), sent to live and share the Gospel, across the street and across the globe, empowered by the Spirit. Let’s live out our faith beyond Sunday and impact the world powerfully through radical service, truth, and love. 🔔 Subscribe & Share
We believe God loves us and, therefore, we can love. Jesus came to reveal the Father and give us access to Him (John 14:6-7), shaping our understanding of God, people, and the world. ❤️ Our Relationship with God We don’t see God as angry or distant but as a loving Father who created us to love us. Even in our rebellion, He pursued us and sent Jesus so we could be restored (John 3:16). We serve Him out of love, walking in grace, not fear. 🏡 Our Love for People We love because He first loved us (1 John 4:19). His family includes all people – no division, no barriers (Galatians 3:28). We reflect heaven’s diversity (Revelation 7:9) and affirm that both men and women are called to lead. 🌍 Our Love for Creation All creation groans for restoration (Romans 8:22). While ultimate redemption is coming, we are called now to be agents of renewal and care for His creation. His love defines us – let’s live it out. 🔔 Subscribe & Share
God is a generous God! We see His abundant love poured out from creation to the Gospel story. Psalm 104 reminds us that He filled the earth with life and made space for all to dwell. In Christ, God invites us into His home, where generosity is not just something He gives – it’s who He is. 💛 As Hatfielders, we recognise His abundance, experience His generosity, and respond by living generously ourselves. 🙌 Ephesians 2 tells us we are His handiwork, created for good works. But generosity isn’t about bank balances – it’s a mindset. Let’s live with open hands and hearts, reflecting His generosity in all we do.
The Kingdom of God doesn’t arrive with a grand spectacle — it starts small, like a mustard seed, growing into something unstoppable. Mark 4 reminds us that the Kingdom isn’t measured in big leaps but in small, faithful acts.💡 Jesus’ death in a small Roman province seemed insignificant, yet it broke the power of darkness (Colossians 2:15). The Kingdom doesn’t come through power or wealth — it comes by the Spirit (Acts 2:3, Zechariah 4:6). The Kingdom grows where we enter the world, sowing seeds of faith. His Kingdom come is our dream. Let’s live it out, one small step at a time. 🌱✨

Do you desire to live a life that matters? Do you know that your life IS significant, not because of what you do or your prominence, but because of who you are? You can live a significant life if you have this understanding, even when the world doesn’t know your name.
This world can so easily make you feel weak and insignificant, like who you are and what you do, doesn’t matter. The Bible, though, encourages that “[You] can do all things through Christ who strengthens [you] (Phil. 4:13 NKJV).”
Do you believe you are made for a purpose? We know that life can often feel random, without meaning or just a struggle to survive. But God has made you on purpose and with a purpose. Join Pastor Louis in finding and understanding your God-given purpose.
God always intended for you to have an abundant life. And, so, Jesus came to restore what was lost in the garden of Eden. When you say yes to Jesus, you say yes to abundant life. But what does an abundant life look like? Watch to go deeper.
Your life is defined by what you say yes to and what you say no to. But it is often what you say yes to that moves you forward and allows you to build your life. In this message, Pastor Louis talks about the most important yes that you can say in your life.
How can you answer God’s call and sustain all the good you have received, flowing from the week of prayer and fasting? Now that you have waited on the Lord, watch as Pastor Louis tells you how to keep going by the Spirit.
What does it mean, and what does it look like when we wait on God? Join Neil as he prepares you to wait in expectation of God ahead of our annual week of prayer and fasting.
Do you believe that the Lord has good things in store for you? It is easy to become cynical about God’s plans and intentions when going through tough times, but Pastor Louis calls you to keep embracing God’s unimaginable goodness.
It is the start of a new year — a chance to reset and begin again. Join Pastor Louis as we enter 2022 and as we, as a family, are being built together in the Lord Jesus.
Watch as Pastor Letsholo asks what you are grateful for, even amidst challenging days and circumstances, and shows you what an attitude of gratitude can unlock in your life.
In Mark 6, Jesus extends an invitation to His disciples to come away with Him to a quiet place and to get some rest. Pause with Pastor Letsholo today and accept Jesus’ continued invitation to slow down, to find calm and to get some rest.
It is go-time as we wrap up our “Living on the frontline” series. Pastor Sihle Dlamini shows you how to let your intimacy with God fuel your influence as a MESSENGER for the gospel on your frontline.
Do you struggle to speak up in the face of dishonesty and injustice? To shine a light on what is wrong is rarely the popular or attractive thing to do… Pam Ferreira helps you find the courage to be a MOUTHPIECE for truth and justice on your frontline.
How do you respond to the culture on your frontline? Perhaps you are tempted just to ignore what you don’t like. Instead, Natasja Kotzé asks you to be informed and engaged as you MOULD culture on your frontline by being the salt and light.
Do you feel unqualified to MINISTER grace and love? Like it is something only pastors, the well-known or titled, can do? Chandra Noviskie invites you to see how out of God’s overflow, you can, in your everyday life, extend grace and love to others.
What does it mean to MAKE good work as an act of active worship to the LORD? Work is not just about employment and a paycheque, but about fulfilling God’s commission. Join Ben Pinches as he explores doing good work in God’s Kingdom.
How can you walk, live, and be led by the Holy Spirit as you live on your frontline in God’s Kingdom? Join Letichia Dlamini in exploring the first of the six Ms, MODEL godly character.

When we know who and whose we are, we can also know our purpose as Jesus followers. And we have individual as well as collective purpose in seeing God’s Kingdom come on heaven as in earth. Watch as Pastor Letsholo concludes our series on identity.
When God the Father adopts you into His family, you become part of the church, the body of Christ. So, what does this mean for your identity? And what does it look like to be part of a church family, together on a Spirit-empowered journey?
For good or ill, there is no denying the impact that your family, and especially your parents, have had on shaping your identity. So, when God the Father adopts you into His family as son or daughter, how does it affect who you are?
Do you choose how you define yourself, or do others shape who you are? Or do you believe that God knows you deeply and extends an open-armed invitation to restore you to who He had made you to be? Join in this important conversation on matters of identity with us.
What does it mean to be human? Just as much as your identity matters, your view of mankind matters. We’ve been created in God’s image, but something is not quite right in the way we reflect God. What went wrong? Join in the conversation as Neil Bester delves deeper into matters of identity.
Your identity matters. Who and what you draw your identity from can either help you thrive or harm you. Join Pastor Louis in this crucial conversation as he launches us into considering the question of identity and what the Bible offers us in thinking sober-mindedly about ourselves.
Listen as Letichia Dlamini shares on the topic of “Generosity of heart”, following Pastor Louis’s Sunday morning message from Luke 10 and the parable of the Good Samaritan.
The Good Samaritan displayed great generosity of heart in the parable told by Jesus. Who do you identify with as you read this story? Deepen your understanding of God’s generosity as we wrap up our Faith Promise season.
Listen as Stephen van den Bergh shares on the topic of “Generosity of spirit”, in line with Pastor Louis’s Sunday morning message from Matt. 14:13-21 and the feeding of the 5000.
The little we have and can do can reach much further when put in God’s hands. The LORD is not overwhelmed by the need. Rather He is moved by compassion and generously reaches out to the multitudes through us. Are you ready for a deeper understanding of His generosity?
The King and I: Powerful Influence PM Service | Louis Kotzé by Hatfield Christian Church
Do you believe that you can still be a powerful influence even in a post-Christian era? How can you engage society as a Christian, shine your light and be the salt even when you aren’t welcomed? Pastor Louis engages with these questions and more in his concluding sermon in this three-part series.
God has delegated authority to us on earth. Understanding this authority and its boundaries and tensions well, helps us function effectively in God’s Kingdom. Watch as Pastor Louis gives us greater insight into how we can relate to, balance and keep the tensions of power and authority.
How can you live through these days and in this tumultuous world representing God’s Kingdom well? How do you fight this battle wisely? This is what Pastor Louis unpacks in a miniseries of three sermons, kicking off by focusing on our King and His everlasting Kingdom.
Some seasons in life are abundantly good; others are marked by hardship. Our God, though, is a God for every season. He is sovereign and sets the times and the seasons, and He is also close to us in each season, providing the grace and strength we need.
In our desire for life-giving water, we may find ourselves taken in by false teachers who promise much but deliver little. Watch as Pastor Louis gives insight into how we can recognise and deal with false teachers and experience a continual overflow of God’s truth and goodness in our lives.
In the pit and an Egyptian prison, Joseph probably found it hard to hold on to the dreams God had given him. God, however, continued to work in Joseph’s life – His faithfulness and presence with Joseph eventually brought about not just an overflow of provision for himself and his family but also the nations.
Take a journey of restoration with the Israelites from Egypt to the Promised Land. Pastor Louis focuses on the events at Mara in particular and how both forgiveness and a commitment to righteousness is needed to experience an overflow of restoration in our lives.
What comes to mind when you think of holiness? It can be a difficult concept to grasp. God’s holiness, His utter uniqueness and otherness, both draws us and causes us to fear Him. Take a deeper dive with Pastor Louis into God’s holiness and how, through Jesus, we can experience an overflow of being made holy and clean.
In the book of Genesis, Isaac experiences more than his fair share of quarrels around wells. But as Isaac remains faithful to respond to the Lord in obedience, God provides for him. Wherever God sends us, even in the valley of hardship and struggle, the Lord is faithful to provide to overflowing when we obey.
All water sources are not equal. Those in water-scarce contexts will quickly tell you that there is a big difference between a source of flowing, living water and water from a cistern. Similarly, what water source are you relying on in your spiritual life?
The desert is often where we remember we need God. A place of meeting with the Lord and where life can spring up again. God can turn your desert into a place of overflowing life.
We live in times when it is so easy to feel stuck, so you will not want to miss this word from special guest speaker Duane White about how to move forward with God in the Spirit.
Duane currently leads The Bridge Church in Denton, Texas, with his wife, Kris. He also heads up the O2 network in the USA.
Do you sometimes wonder if anyone sees you? Our Overflow series gets personal, exploring how God wants to overflow in and through your life. We kick off with a story from the Old Testament and a woman who encountered God at a well.
God is our source of living water. In this series, we explore wells, water, waves, cisterns, rain, etc., in both the Old and New Testaments to go deeper with God as our source of life and continue moving with Him.

Living, Breathing and Working like Biblical Heroes | Dawie Thomas by Hatfield Christian Church
I commend to you our sister Phoebe, who is a servant of the church which is at Cenchrea; that you receive her in the Lord in a manner worthy of the saints, and that you help her in whatever matter she may have need of you; for she herself has also been a helper of many, and of myself as well.
Andrew was the First disciple, in the Eastern church he is referred to as the “Protokletos” meaning the first called. He left his family business of fishing to follow Christ. He was first a follower of John the Baptist
Did you know that Jesus had a brother who was an unbeliever? His name was James. James was a son of Mary and Joseph and therefore a half-brother to Jesus and brother to Joseph, Simon, Judas, and their sisters (Matthew 13:55). In the Gospels, James is mentioned a couple of times, but at that time he misunderstood Jesus’ ministry and was not a believer (John 7:2-5)
One of the skills any disciple should have is the ability to wait with readiness. A disciple knows how to eagerly seek with all their heart while also being able to wait upon the Lord. Think of the story of the man at the well in John 5 as well as the parable of the wise and foolish virgins. Are you seeking the Lord with all your heart but can also wait patiently for the Lord’s timing?

The book of Proverbs warns us not to stray to the left or the right from the path of wisdom. Let’s look at how we can avoid veering off course.
How do we view our past, present and future in order to press on and take hold of that for which Jesus has taken hold of us?
How do we build community and what may be some of the results experienced once we have built a Kingdom community?
The devil hates church unity. Uniting churches is a difficult task, but Jesus passionately prayed for it. Are we going to do our part to answer His prayer?
What does it mean to be a disciple of Jesus? What distinguishes a follower of Christ from the crowd?
We’ve all felt fear grip us, and we’ve all felt hope turn in to despair. But in Jesus we have victory – in every situation we have reason for hope and can always walk in the peace of God.
We all have one basic problem and that is that we are sinners. There is only one solution to this problem and that is believing in Jesus, and then becoming His followers.
