The author's goal in the book of James [Jacob] is to call out and expose the fake believers. James wants to empower us to not just believe in God intellectually. (Indeed, even the demons "believe" in God.) True belief is established by what we do—our works. For that reason, many so-called believers don't like James. They think his emphasis on doing good works is "legalistic." It doesn't make them feel good. But the Word of God is not meant only to encourage us. Many times the Word is meant to convict us and motivate us to take action.

In part 2 of his series on the book of James, David Wilber teaches on one of the most common ways believers today break the "greatest commandment." You will learn about the sin of partiality, true faith vs. dead faith, and how the Torah brings freedom in our lives. May this message bless you and encourage you to live true, biblical faith.

What does it really mean to love? According to the world there could be many different answers to that question. It often appears that the world's understanding of "love" ultimately comes down to some feeling or selfish motivation. "What do I get out of this?" But that isn't really love at all. The Bible has a much different answer.

Join Pastor David Robinson as he teaches on what it really means to love your neighbor according to the Bible. We pray this message will bless you as you explore this foundational topic.

Did you know that the New Testament book of James was not a letter from a Christian pastor, but a Messianic Jewish teacher? Did you know it wasn’t written to Christians who met in Baptist churches, but to Jewish believers in Yeshua (Jesus) who met in synagogues? And did you know the author’s name wasn’t James, but Jacob?

David Wilber begins a verse-by-verse study on the book of James. In this message you will learn about the half-brother of Yeshua who wrote the epistle of James and the historical background of his letter. In addition, multiple biblical themes are explored throughout chapter one of this amazing book in the Bible, such as: Steadfastness in suffering, what is genuine faith, conflict resolution in the congregation, and overcoming doubt.

God gave us the ability to choose. And life is full of choices. Nobody chooses for us. Indeed, regardless of the extent to which someone has hurt or betrayed you, ultimately you have the choice to either hold onto bitterness or embrace the heart of Yeshua (Jesus) by forgiving "as the Lord has forgiven you" (Colossians 3:13).

Pastor David Robinson teaches on the Gateway of Offense.

We live in a hyper-sensitive and easily offended culture. Too many people today don't know how to deal with their emotions. They can't handle it when someone offends them (even when it is unintentional), so they overreact and repeat the cycle of offense. Indeed, even believers are getting caught up and reacting in ungodly ways, bringing strife and division to the body of Messiah.

Should we be surprised? Not at all. Yeshua prophesied of the end days that "many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another" (Matthew 24:10). We are seeing this play out in our world today. But what do we do about it? How are we supposed to respond when we're offended? And how do we help others "come to their senses and escape the snare of the devil"? (2 Timothy 2:25-26).

In this message, Pastor David Robinson gives a biblical outline for how to resist the enemy's deception through offense. You will learn how to identify the snare of the devil and correct others with the gentleness and compassion of our Messiah, Yeshua. We hope you're blessed by the message!

The Bible tells us to be prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks us for a reason for the hope that is in us (1 Peter 3:15).

In this message, David Wilber responds to a popular YouTube video and tackles several questions often brought up by critics of the Bible. We pray this message will encourage you in your walk with Yeshua (Jesus).

Questions that are answered in this teaching:

1) Does God hate people? 2) What's up with God killing so many people? 3) Did God create evil? 4) Did Yeshua break the Sabbath? 5) Can women talk in church? 6) Does God cause people to cannibalize family members and friends? 7) What's up with God commanding parents to stone their disobedient sons? 8) Does God predestine people to hell? 9) What's up with Yeshua saying you must hate your family in order to follow Him? 10) Does the Bible promote slavery?

David Wilber teaches on the Torah Portion Toldot.

When Jacob and Esau were born, Jacob came out holding Esau's heal. This was a foreshadow of Jacob's deep desire to be the firstborn. In fact, we see this playing out throughout Jacob's childhood. He deceived his brother Esau and even (with his mother's help) his own father Isaac. Although Jacob received both the birthright and blessing, he nevertheless reaped the rotten fruit of his actions.

What can we learn from this story? David Wilber unpacks this portion of Scripture and discusses several powerful lessons found within. The idea of whether or not "the ends justify the means" in the case of Jacob's deceptiveness is explored, along with what truly compelled Jacob to go behind his father's back. You will learn about the power of prayer, the danger of parental favoritism, the Biblical concept of faith, and God's power to work through us and transform our character despite our family background. We hope you're blessed by this message!

David Wilber teaches on winning the war within.

A constant theme throughout the Bible is mankind's struggle between the desire to live a holy life for God and the desire to return to sin. Paul describes this struggle as a "war" between his mind, which serves the Law of God, and His flesh, which serves the law of sin and death. As Believers, we can all relate to Paul. Even after the Israelites were miraculously delivered from Egyptian slavery, they complained to Moses and expressed their desire to return to Egypt:

"We remember the fish we ate in Egypt that cost nothing, the cucumbers, the melons, the leeks, the onions, and the garlic." (Numbers 11:5)

We all have our own "Egypt." We all struggle with the desire to sin (and too often we give in to those desires). Indeed, in moments of temptation, it is all too easy to focus only on the temporary gratification of our "Egypt" while completely forgetting the pain, sorrow, and bondage that come with it.

In this week's message, David Wilber teaches on Winning the War Within and gives 5 ways to overcome sin in our lives as disciples of Yeshua (Jesus). If you are struggling with a certain sin, be encouraged! God's Word has answers.

Pastor David Robinson gives a powerful message on faith and sacrifice - "The Lord Tests the Heart."

Abraham's walk of faith consisted of several "tests." It began with God calling him to leave everything he knew behind and journey to the land of Canaan. He encounters a famine, the Pharaoh almost took his wife away, and of course there was the whole situation with Hagar. Eventually, all of these tests culminated with God commanding him to sacrifice his only son. What does Abraham's life of testing teach us about God, faith, and sacrifice?

In this message, Pastor David Robinson teaches on how to identify, endure, and pass life's greatest tests in order to move forward in faith and bring God glory. In every circumstance--even sorrow and difficulty--there's something worthwhile to learn. God is always teaching us. We hope you're blessed by this message!

David Wilber speaks on God and the Problem of Suffering.

Perhaps the biggest obstacle to faith is the reality of suffering. Mankind has wrestled with it for thousands of years. We see it every day in the news. But the reason this issue is so challenging is that it affects us on a personal level. We’ve all experienced suffering.

Why does God allow suffering? Does the reality of suffering disprove God’s existence? Why do bad things happen to good people? In this message, David Wilber gives an overview of the Bible’s answers to these important questions and how disciples of Yeshua (Jesus) are supposed to respond to the suffering in our world.

Pastor Jim Staley teaches part 6 of his End of the Age series, "What is the Millennial Kingdom?"

In all of Biblical prophecy, few topics are more misunderstood and controversial than the Millennial Kingdom. Will the Messiah, Yeshua (Jesus), literally reign on earth for a thousand years immediately after His Second Coming? Is the Millennial Kingdom spoken of in the Book of Revelation metaphorical? When does the Millennial Kingdom take place? Is it already here?

In this sixth part of our end-times prophecy series, End of the Age, Pastor Jim Staley discusses the three main viewpoints concerning the Millennial Kingdom. You will learn all about when this event occurs on God's prophetic timeline, how the Bible describes this incredible Messianic era, who will be part of this Kingdom, and much more! Knowing what the Bible teaches about the Millennial Kingdom is vital to understanding Biblical prophecy, but you'll also be amazed to discover just how much this subject impacts your own life!

Pastor Jim Staley teaches on the Torah Portion Ki Tavo, which means "When you enter."

Have you ever wondered why the Bible says to consider it "pure joy" when we face trials? How is that even possible?

God is the potter and we are the clay. When God puts us on the potter's wheel, He sometimes comes across a lump of jealousy, selfishness, pride, or other desires of the flesh. Indeed, when we surrender our lives to God and begin to walk in His ways, He exposes those impurities in us. And He often does that through trials and tribulations.

In this message, Pastor Jim Staley teaches on the Torah Portion Ki Tavo. You will learn about the laws of first fruits and the blessings for obedience and curses for disobedience. Afterwards, Pastor Jim teaches on how the "potter's wheel" of life is designed by God to crush us and form us into the image of Yeshua (Jesus). Therefore, we should consider it "pure joy" to face trials. Don't ask God to take His hands away. Ask God to take you where you need to be no matter the cost.

Pastor David Robinson teaches on the danger of Idolatry.

What is the most destructive sin that the Bible talks about? Is it sexual addiction? What about gossip, pride, or jealousy? You might surprised to discover that it's actually the sin of idolatry that presents the biggest threat to our relationship with God. Why? Because it's from idolatry that "all manner of unrighteousness" comes.

"Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves, because they exchanged the truth about God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen." (Romans 1:24-25)

Idolatry is by far the most discussed problem in the scriptures. Indeed, we as Believers were created for the purpose of worshiping God and bringing glory to His name. Therefore, worshiping false gods betrays our very identity and purpose.

But is idolatry really even a problem anymore, like it was in Biblical times? After all, nobody worships false gods today, at least not in Western civilization...or do they?

In this message, Pastor David Robinson identifies the false gods of today who are leading God's people astray. They might not go by the names of Baal or Zeus, but false gods nevertheless abound in our society. You will be blessed by this informative and convicting message as Pastor David teaches Believers how to guard their hearts against the very real danger of idolatry.

The Bible records for us that ALL Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, reproof, correction, and training in righteousness (2 Timothy 3:16), but many Christians today have forgotten some very important parts of Scripture—namely, the "instructions" of God, or in Hebrew, Torah.

How much do you know about Torah? More importantly, what did Yeshua (Jesus) say about it? Did the first century Christians continue to follow certain commandments in Torah—such as the Sabbath, feasts, and dietary instructions? Would keeping Torah today be considered "legalistic?"

As Christians around the world embrace the roots of their faith, these questions are becoming all the more pressing. Scripture says that whoever claims to live in Christ must live as He did (1 John 2:6). How did our Jewish Messiah, Yeshua, live? David Wilber weighs in on this important topic and presents compelling information throughout the Bible with regard to the role of Torah in the life of Christians today.

As Christians, we want to get back to the roots of our Faith. We want to get back to how Yeshua (Jesus) and the apostles lived and taught. That’s what this movement is all about!

We've embraced the Torah, feasts, and the Sabbath. And all of those things are great. But, generally speaking, Believers today are missing an important piece of the puzzle: Fasting. Indeed, fasting connects us to our Christian Roots in an amazing way. And along with prayer and knowing/doing the Word of God, it is the most powerful spiritual weapon that Believers have.

Join pastor Jim Staley as he speaks on the power of fasting. You'll learn what fasting is, why it's so important, and when and how we should do it. Pastor Jim also shares some insights that he has learned through his own experience with fasting and addresses several misunderstood scriptures. May you be blessed by this message!

Have you ever wondered why the serpent spoke to Eve instead of Adam? What are the deeper meanings behind the curses of Adam and Eve due to the fall? How exactly are we affected, and what can we do to turn things around?

Ever since the fall of Adam and Eve, our world has been in a constant state of corruption—especially with regard to the family unit. Satan hates the family, and his agenda from the beginning was to twist and distort the roles of husbands and wives in order to sabotage God’s plan. As redeemed sons and daughters of the Most High and disciples of Yeshua (Jesus), what can we do to reverse the curse? In this message, Pastor Jim teaches on how to identify the problems in our personal relationships and how to solve them. The Bible gives the formula for reversing the curse right in the opening chapters of Genesis, and Pastor Jim breaks it down into four simple steps. We hope you’re blessed by this teaching!

Passion matters to God. Zeal matters. Indeed, it was the passion and zeal of Pinchas (Phinehas) that turned back God’s wrath from the people of Israel after the incident of Peor. Are you passionate about the same things God is passionate about?

You’ll learn how this same passion empowered Zelophehad’s daughters to bring their case before Moses in order that God would establish a divine law to bypass the curse of Jeconiah (Jeremiah 22:30) and secure Messiah Yeshua’s (Jesus’) legal right to the throne of David. This message will inspire you to stand up for holiness in this world of increasing depravity and hostility toward's God. Stay on the narrow path!

From the very beginning we see that God’s divine purpose for man is perfected in the fellowship and unity of His people. It was God Himself who said, “It is not good that man should be alone” (Genesis 2:18). But why is community so important to God? Why does the Bible speak so strongly against disunity in the body? Furthermore, what is causing all this disunity, and how can we turn things around?

In this message, David Wilber speaks on living in community and how to have unity in the body of Messiah. You will learn how to identify the main causes of disunity and what it means to address them biblically. Furthermore, you’ll learn the simple, 5-step biblical formula for maintaining peace and unity within any fellowship—whether it is a larger congregation or just your own family. We hope this teaching blesses you!
