Hello everybody and welcome to a new episode, of a new season of the Abide Podcast, with myself, Misha Lekhuleni.

In this episode, I share from Luke 12, the parable of the faithful and evil servant. This episode aims to have a believer introspect where exactly we stand with God and our walk with Him.
Are we loyal to Him, abiding in Him? Or are we just Christians by name and don't even bear His identity in us?

Hey lovelies

This podcast episode is based on the study of Mark 10:32-34 where we see a distinction being made between those who followed Jesus and those who were his disciples. This begs the question to us as believers, where do we stand?

Hey friends

I hope you're all doing well in this new year.

In my study of Exodus 33:7-1; I couldn't not share this revelation with y'all. The realization that we are ultimately in control of how much we get to experience God and how much of His presence He is able to share with us actually up to us is a game changer. When we start doing what we are supposed to do and create that environment, can you imagine what God is willing to release to us?! YouTube Episode

King David say's in verse 2 of Psalms 23, "He Makes Me Lie Down in Green Pastures; He Leads Me beside Still Waters". This verse speaks a lot to the concept of rest, which is something that alludes a lot of people in this day and age, where the "hustle" is glorified. Where people fool each other into believing that not resting is good for you. But Jesus has come to give us rest and provide all we need whilst we rest.

Psalm 23 is a well-know scripture but I want to go deeper into the meaning of it. What exactly is King David saying and what does it mean for us in this day and age.

How do we practically apply this notion that the Lord is our Shepherd? Well take a listen and I hope that the Spirit of God will illuminate your understanding. Misha Solanga YouTube Channel 路 Misha Solanga Instagram

From a story that we have often read and been taught, God reveals a deeper understanding of what Mary did when she finally understood what it is that God had called her to do.

She did it successfully and I believe God wants us to learn some tips from how she went about her journey.

How do you respond to crisis?

We have been faced with so much negativity, and just overall bad news, pandemics, crisis after crisis and it is only natural that we respond in fear, anxiety or even just denial of it all.

God does not want that for us not does He want that from us as His sons. There is a response God expects from us as His sons, one that is rested in the knowledge of who He is, a response that stems from an understanding that He is greater than any crisis we could possibly face.

In this episode of Abide, we take a look at how King David managed to respond to a crisis that was brought to him. Main scripture: 1 Samuel 30:1-8

Supporting scripture: Daniel 3:19 Proverbs 3:5

May You be edified.

God makes it clear that what He wants is a relationship with us as His sons and daughters but we get so caught up in religion that we move with a conscious understanding of Him but no actual conviction to live according to His precepts.

When we find ourselves in bad, uncertain and unfavorable situations we tend to spiral into a panic and try to fix things or find a way out of the "pit" we find ourselves in. In this Psalm we learn from David that the most effective way to come out of it is by waiting on God. Not just any kind of waiting though, a patient waiting that is without complaining of our circumstances or the pain we are experiencing.

I hope you are edified and blessed by this episode.

Main Scripture: Psalm 40:1-3

additional verses: Romans 8:28-29 Proverbs 18:21 (King David's Story can be found in 1 Samuel 16 onwards)

God is so intentional about everything He does in and through us. The process that the Holy Spirit does in us if we are willing to surrender to it is absolutely amazing. He promises to take us from a wilderness state, and make us a fruitful field and ultimately, we will become a forest that covers the world. This is all contingent on our surrender to the process.

Main Scripture: Isaiah 32:15-18 _________________________________________________

It is so easy to be stuck in a place of complacency because, complacency is comfort. It is a state of self-satisfaction, which is what makes it so dangerous. Complacency fools you into thinking that you can do the bare minimum with regards to your relationship wit God and stil maintain intimacy with Him.
