The Saint Mort Show: Recent Episodes

Geekscape

The Saint Mort Show was a weekly podcast focusing on the fringe of entertainment. For 4 years host Matt "Saint Mort" Kelly sat down with various up and coming writers, directors, musicians, bloggers, comedians to discuss their careers and interests.

The show went through multiple format changes before it eventually ended in late 2016 so Matt could focus his energy on the popular Horror Movie Night podcast.

This was the first attempt at doing a more "Talk Radio" vibe. I was joined by my co-host Jeffrey Shropshire. This was fairly short lived. He hung out as a color-man in-between the interviews.

I have no clue why this episode is called "A Little Gay?" but I'm sure it's a comment in the episode that probably didn't age well and I apologize in advance for that.

Recorded during my time in LA in 2011. Mostly in my apartment or via Skype.

This is also the last of the late talk show stuff

This episode was recorded in 2011 in my Los Angeles Apartment. I've been trying to bring everything back un-edited and that almost means I don't listen to these episodes. On the off-chance that I said some questionable things in 2011 know that a decade of growth has happened since. While I can't speak for if the comedy holds up or not, I do think that these interviews deserved a space to live and that these are the early attempts at growing as a podcaster.

This is a weird one because it's just my friend and two of my best friends just playing around on guitars and talking about random stuff happening in the world. There's a bunch of random songs by me.

This week's episode is super distorted and also features a truly awful Bill Cosby impression.

This episode has a particularly embarrassing moment in my podcasting career in which my grandmother asked me to get something at the grocery store in the middle of the interview and I forgot to edit it out. It's the amateur hour thing ever but for some reason I still wanted to keep it in as evidence of podcast growth. I assume most people have stumbled upon these from other podcasting projects I've done.

Additionally this episode continues the very poor-tasted date rape joke in Episode 2. I'm legit embarrassed about how funny I definitely seemed to think the joke was; but again; I refuse to hide my past but instead advertise that I've grown as a person.

This specific episode has a particularly unfunny PSA about roofies that I'm not proud of.
