  • Congratulations to the Batesville Band on their First Division Rating at the State Marching Contest!
  • Congratulations to our incredibly talented students and wonderful directors and staff for making this possible. We appreciate everyone who came out to support them.
  • What does a Superior Rating mean?
    • Based on the total points we receive, we get a rating of 1-5, with one being the best. It’s very tough to get a 1 (aka: superior rating, aka first division) at state. We ranked 11th over all in the state out of 19 teams. The top score in our division received 88 points and we scored 80.75! We haven’t had superior ratings/first division in state in over 5 years so this is a huge accomplishment for our program. Mattress fundraiser

Drug Awareness Community Meeting

  • Tuesday, Nov. 1st, 2022
  • 5:30-6:30 p.m.
  • BHSC Gym
  • 1 Pioneer Drive, Batesville, AR 72501

The Batesville School District is hosting a Drug Awareness meeting on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, from 5:30 - 6:30 at the BHSC Gym (#1 Pioneer Drive, Batesville, AR 72501) in coordination with our Pioneer Parent Academy. The Community Schools Coordinator, Laura Howard started this academy during COVID to inform and educate parents about various topics and provide resources to better serve our students and community.

In honor of Red Ribbon Week and due to recent overdoses across the state impacting minors, the district felt a sense of urgency to hold a community meeting as a space for our parents, stakeholders, and students to learn from professionals about the fentanyl crisis. In attendance, we will have guest speakers from the 16th Judicial Drug Task Force and White River Health. Once the presentation is over, participants will be given the opportunity to sign up for a class provided by White River Health educating them on how to administer Naloxone (NARCAN) along with rehabilitation and detox resources.

Our goal is to be proactive instead of reactive while creating a safe environment at both home and school. We also hope this information will empower our community members to recognize the signs and behaviors if a loved one encounters these substances. Together we can educate our community for a safe and healthy future.

Welcome to the Batesville Pioneer Mini and Youth Volleyball League!

We’re excited to offer our first youth competitive league. Our focus is on quality instruction and gameplay! Young players will build a solid foundation and understanding of the game.

Building a Future

Batesville kids will have the opportunity to begin their volleyball journey wearing their school colors and playing for Batesville School District. We will organize teams by mixing all three elementary schools and allow kids a unique opportunity to learn and grow with their future school teammates. (Batesville, AR) The Batesville High School Charter is proud to announce Coach Ryan Morrow has been named the new Head Football Coach for the Batesville Pioneers. Morrow is a 2006 Pioneer graduate, and attended Henderson State University where he obtained his degree in Physical Education, Health, and Leisure. He came back to his alma mater in 2017 as the Offensive Line Coach through the 2021 season and helped lead the Pioneers to many victories. Morrow played under Coach Dave King during his 26 years reign and will be catapulting those same values of leadership, tradition, and pioneer excellence in his Head Coach position.

Coach Ryan Morrow stated, “It’s been a dream of mine since I was 18 years old to be just like my mentor Coach King and have the opportunity to come back and coach with him; the last few years have been nothing short of amazing. I got to sit next to my coach, my mentor, and my friend and develop into the coach, husband, father, and man that I am today. Now getting the opportunity to lead the Pioneers into the future, I’m going to do my best to make him proud.”

Coach Morrow says our goals and expectations of the program haven’t changed. He plans to compete for a conference championship and by doing that, have a home playoff game and compete for a state championship. Morrow hopes he and his fellow coaching staff will lead a team the school, town, and community can be proud of. Coach Ryan Morrow is the proud father of Ruby, Eli, and Brock Morrow and married to Candace Morrow. Coach Ryan Morrow said they informed the team today at 1:47 p.m. and immediately started their Pioneer Olympics competition after.

Coach Dave King said, “I couldn’t be more proud of Ryan to become the next head football coach at BHS. He along with his staff will do an outstanding job to lead the Pioneers.”

The theatre production of "You're A Good Man Charlie Brown" was a hit at UACCB! We want to thank them for allowing our program to utilize their facilities.
