Martin is a longstanding member of the Conservative Party and has held many different political posts. He spent twenty years as a Councillor, including a period as a Council Leader and has previously stood for Parliament for the Conservative Party. More recently he has worked in the public affairs/public relations industry where he has had the opportunity to examine politics from the outside.
