Hey guys
Happy 50th Episode to Bitch WTF Podcast! We are extremely grateful to celebrate this milestone moment of our podcast with our first International guest Brendan Lea who joined us from Texas.
Brendan works closely with Peter Ralston, who is a teacher of consciousness studies, Peter Ralston has spent fifty years mastering intense contemplation and leading students on experiential investigations of self and reality. Rather than simply following a belief system regarding any subject or activity, students are encouraged to find the underlying principles and to personally and directly experience whatever is true for themselves. Ralston's consciousness work is acclaimed by people from a diverse range of disciplines, from spiritual teachers and psychiatrists to cognitive scientists, physicists, and artists. He is the founder of Empowerment—an organization devoted to increasing consciousness—as well as the founder of Cheng Hsin, an internal martial school of the Art of Effortless Power.
We discovered Peter through ‘The Book of Not Knowing’which illustrates ‘that true awareness arises from a state of not-knowing.’
We highly recommend reading Peter’s work. Brendan being his lifelong apprentice works closely with Peter and runs workshops around Peter’s work.
We spoke about Peter’s work as well as insights from Brendan’s personal journey.
You can reach out to Brendan here. If you would like to read about his workshops you can access information about them here. Please also check out his YouTube channel.
We were extremely humbled to have Brendan on our show and will ensure to have him back as 40 minutes was definitely not enough time to talk about life with Brendan.

We want to talk about the death of romance within the 21st century dating world or the world period. Now, we are not basing this on any specific science so please do take everything we say with a grain of salt. These are all relating to our personal experiences as well as our friends and family, so we are not sitting here claiming to be Einstein’s on this topic at all, we are just taking a fun look into it from a Bee & G perspective.
We would love to hear what your thoughts are around this topic. We talk about it whilst comparing it to Turkish movies we used to watch growing up, but obviously Hollywood movies were very much the same.

Hey guys
In this week’s podcast we talk about what happens when we analyse our childhood?
Bee got this wonderful idea from a very popular Podcast in Turkey called ‘Merdiven Altı Terapi’ by Deniz Dülgeroğlu. In that podcast Deniz mentions a story from her childhood that allows her to analyse the impacts of her childhood and what this means for her adulthood.
In this episode we talk about the amazing TED talk by Molly Wright discussing the first five years in a child’s life as being so crucial for their development.
Living in these unprecedented times has allowed many of us to look inwards and discover things about ourselves we did not know before (it definitely has for both Bee & G), understanding your childhood and the way you grew up allows you to discover a lot about yourself.

This week we change it up a bit and talk about a light-hearted topic. Since we have been in and out of lockdowns and have had many depressing news around the world, we thought today we should talk about whether love is really blind?
Can you really truly love someone without actually physically seeing them?
We spoke about online dating on Episode 16 and discussed what we personally went through during that process. In this episode we talk more broadly about if love can actually be blind.
We dissect the Netflix series 'Love is Blind' and have great fun doing so.

Hey guys
This week we talk about the topic of 'The 5 Love Languages®' devised by the author Dr. Gary Chapman. According to Dr. Chapman, there are five primary love languages that people speak. These include words of affirmation, quality time, physical touch, acts of service, and receiving gifts.
We take a deep look into these by analyzing them with a bit of a Culturally and Linguistically Diverse twist.
Knowing your love language gives you the communication to explain what's most important to meet your emotional needs and also the insight to figure out what's important to your partner so you can best meet their emotional needs.
Love languages can also be used for non romantic relationships such as friendships, family and work colleagues.
If you would like to take Dr. Chapman’s love languages test you can access it here.

This week we talk to a wonderful human Ayman Kaake. Ayman was Born in Tripoli, Lebanon, and travelled to Australia in 2011 in pursuit of studying visual arts. A telecommunications engineer and cinematography graduate, he left behind his parents and eleven siblings as he set off on his artistic journey. Applying his creative vision then led to diplomas in photo-imaging and visual arts from Melbourne Polytechnic. In 2014, his passion for cinema and photography eventually developed into a body of digital art works, creating images that delve into the dreamlike world of personal experiences and emotional turmoil. Today we talk about a topic that is close to our hearts. That is the issue of family violence.

As a vocal spokesperson about preventing gender based violence within multicultural communities, Sarah holds a Master's degree in International Relations from Deakin University and a Graduate Certificate in Domestic and Family Violence from RMIT.
Family violence is unfortunately a very real thing in all communities however within CALD communities it is easy for the victim to be blamed as well as causing a lot of cultural shame and guilt. We unpack these issues as well as talk more generally about refugee communities within Australia.

We have missed you! Due to unforeseen circumstances (Bee’s poor mum had a stroke and was in hospital – she is now back home, and everyone is happy😊) we have had to have one week off podcasting. However, we are back and excited more than ever to share with you a two-part podcast on parenting.
This first part we discuss attachment styles and when these develop and what do they all mean.
**We have all been a child if not a parent at some point in life, we all know how important parenting is. This podcast is not just for parents or parents to be, it truly is a reflection for us all.

In today’s episode talk about something we too have limited knowledge about that is the topic of eSafety and what does it mean to be safe online? We think this is an extremely significant topic not just for parents with young kids, but for adults as well. There is so much we don’t know about safety online.
Our special guest today is a social media expert with experience in government regulation of social media and knows the inner workings of all the big social media companies. GG is brilliant, and we are honoured to have her on our show.
For further information regarding safety online visit eSafety Commissioner.

Hey guys
In this episode we talk about how we can gain emotional independence and freedom.
Your emotions. What are these and how do they play a part in everyday life?
So, what are your emotions?
These are the relationships within you. These are your energetic charges. If you are too close to something there is a huge energetic charge. For example, like an electric shock!!
The further removed you are, the less energetic charge.
Learning to remove yourself from this energy is key to controlling your emotions, anchoring yourself.
For example, when you’re joyful, peaceful or just harmonious- you are tuned in, tapped in and turned on. This is an aligned state. The thought you think is matching who you are. Genuine people are joyful people. You can choose your state by becoming conscious. Become aware of what’s going on. Leave space between the stimulus and response.
We would love to hear from you!

Hey guys
In last week’s episode we touched on and had a discussion around our identity and what goes hand and glove with that topic are our beliefs. Today we are going to unpack what our beliefs are and how some of these beliefs ultimately inhibit us from living a free and authentic life.

Hey guys
In this episode we talk about Identity. Who is our authentic self? How do we know if we are authentic or not?
We are often told to 'just be yourself' or 'just be true to who you are'. But this is a very challenging thing when you’re constantly surrounded by others and when we have no idea of where we start, and the other person begins. We are so comfortable playing a character that we mistakenly take that character for who we are.
The Takeout Message
Spending time alone will only connect you more deeply with yourself and others. You will become one with who you really are and stop seeking to play a role in your own life. Letting go of the baggage.

Hey guys
This week we talk about the the fear of saying no. Why are we so good at saying yes but not so good at saying no?
The three universal fears we cover are:
1.Not enough/not worthy
2.Not lovable
3.Not belonging
Due to our individuality and uniqueness, we all have very different ways of experiencing these fears. In fact, so unique that no one will have the same experience, understanding or emotions to see how they feel this.

Hi guys
Disclaimer: we are not qualified psychologists however G is a qualified coach and has extensive training in this area.
In this episode, we want to explore dysfunctional relationships and how being a CALD plays a part.
We will go through some ‘red flags’ or traits we have both experienced and will share some of our stories with you, our listener; in the hope that some will resonate and awaken your truth.
As we talk through a few of these, become aware of how this relates to your experience and how to spot the toxic people, you cannot identify this purely by their behaviour alone. You must also come to recognize the looming red flags in your own heart. Then you can take action from this place.

Today we are talking about something very interesting. The birth of Bitch WTF Podcast and 'the Wheel of Life'. This is a great topic of discussion for the start of a new year because people usually love setting New Year’s resolution goals but realistically we need to always have goals in mind and strive to be the best versions of ourselves not just on New Year’s eve.
The purpose of the Wheel of Life exercise is to make sure our wheel, the whole of our life, is balanced, all aspects or needs fulfilled in the right way. When one aspect of your life becomes the focus and the others are neglected, the wheel is out of balance.

Greetings and Welcome to the introduction of Bitch WTF Podcast where we talk about all things life related with a CALD twist. In this episode we briefly unpack what it means to be CALD.
