Time for another throwback interview as we continue to come together virtually during the COVID-19 pandemic.
We are going back almost two whole years for this throwback when the blog welcomed a young Scottish rookie into the #TwineTimeFam: Bruce Mouat.
The 2017/18 season was the arrival of the "Scottish Prince" to the big ice, picking up a bronze medal at the world championships, a GSOC title (Boost National) and 4 tour titles. All in his rookie campaign with the new squad.
And look at him now! It is fun to listen back on the interview, discuss "The Shot" in Vegas at the world championships and perhaps a slight push in trying to start a Bruce vs. Brad rivalry?
Perfect timing? They would have faced off at the 2020 world championships on Scottish home ice too.
With the COVID-19 pandemic drawing a hault to all sport activities, the TwineTime podcast is taking the opportunity to upload more episodes with past guests.
Back in February 2019, the blog added Greg Smith to the #TwineTimeFam.

The #TwineTime podcast welcomes the newest member to the #TwineTimeFam, and our first member of the 2019-20 season, Saskatchewan's Kara Thevenot.
Thevenot currently plays lead for the defending Saskatchewan champions, Team Silvernagle. Thevenot is also the first lead to be added to the blog/podcast family.
In this episode we talk to Thevenot about the breakout season last year, discuss whether success last year adds extra pressure this year and question whether Sask teams are still under appreciated.
We also congratulate Thevenot on her Prince Albert Female Athlete of the Year award, received right before the interview took place. And we have a little fun with the Lightning Round, including finding out who Thevenot's favourite 2020 Men of Curling calendar model is.

The #TwineTime blog, now podcast, welcomed Alberta's Laura Walker to the #TwineTimeFam during the 2018/19 curling season.
Walker is a Canadian Mixed Doubles champion (with fellow fam member Kirk Muyres) as well as a USport and Canadian Junior champion. Not to mention the success she had last season at the Curling World Cup with Muyres.
Walker not only finds success on the ice, she is an advocate for important social issues off the ice. We discuss gender (in)equality from Walker's experience as a feature athlete in the 2019 Women of Curling calendar.
We cover A LOT in this interview, not to mention Walker providing advice to the #NextGen in the sport and how we can continue to #growthesport

The TwineTime blog welcomes the newest member to the #TwineTimeFam: Saskatchewan's Rylan Kleiter. Kleiter is the three-time defending Sask junior champ and won gold last season at the World Junior Curling Championships as an alternate with Canada's Team Tardi.
Kleiter is also a dual sport stud, finding success on the ice but also on the gridiron as a member of the Saskatoon Hilltops football team.
We sit down to talk about the similarities and differences between the two sports plus find out which locker room really is the worst to be in. We also discuss Kleiter competing in his first Grand Slam of Curling event last season, play some rapid fire Q&A, talk about the young buck starring in a future Men of Curling calendar and even draw comparisons between himself and another dual sport #TwineTimeFam athlete from Saskatchewan.
