A variety show brought to you by serial smartass and writer, Buddy Gott, featuring his (often pointless, yet funny) musings on a little bit of everything.
In this episode of The Buddy Gott Show, I go for a walk and I go for a talk. Go for a talk? Hmmm. Well, I DO talk here about nature, great TV shows, The Buddy Witch Project (?) and all kinds of other stuff. My ADHD hits me some throughout the show and makes me wander a bit, so I talk a little bit about that too.
Thanks for reading and for listening. Have a wonderful day!
P.S. - During the show, I gave some slightly wrong info for the name and location of my new ADHD page on Facebook. The correct title of the page is Creative Friends with ADHD. If you search for that title, you'll have no trouble finding us. It would be awesome to see you there. :-)
Have you seen the Netflix series STRANGER THINGS? Also, are you like me and you love stuff from the 1980s? If you answered "yes" to either question, then you're my kind of person and you'll probably enjoy this episode!
I'm joined here by fellow writer and fellow 80s fan Jesse James Freeman. We talk all about Stranger Things and share what we loved about it, including the many cool homages that the show makes to movies, music, books, games, etc. from the 1980s.
NOTE: We had some occasional technical problems during the recording of this episode which caused some sporadic short audio problems, but they're all very minor and very temporary.
ANOTHER NOTE: If you have not yet watched Stranger Things, please be aware that we do discuss things about the series that you may not want to hear. About 12 minutes into this episode, I give a SPOILERS warning.
Thank you for your time. Have a great day!
Wow, people have been nuts over the 2016 presidential election, haven't they? There's more and more nastiness every day and I'm sick of all the hatred.
Hear me talk about it...hear me sing about it....feel my virtual hugs to the world! Woo hoo!
Also...I got a new car. Here comes another woo hoo....a really big one....WOOOOO HOOOO!!!
I'm digging my new car (a Fiat 500x) and I love it. I say so in the show.
Please join me for this fun episode and....hey....have a fantastic day!
I had a lot of fun here chatting with Kevin Tumlinson. He's a talented writer of fiction and non-fiction and is also the host and co-host of several great entertaining podcasts.
In addition to all of that, Kevin has to be one of the nicest and inspiring people I've ever met. Listen to this episode and you'll hear what I mean. Also, you'll hear us laugh a lot as we discuss his dog, his books, his shows, and much more.
Afterwards, go and find him online. He's everywhere! :-)
Thank you for listening. Have a great day!
P.S. - Kevin's latest novel is THE COELHO MEDALLION. It's a thriller and the first book of a very exciting new series. Go and check it out!
So, hey, do you like Star Trek? I sure do! I talk here about wanting to see the new movie and I also give some of my thoughts about the older movies.I somehow manage to make the topic both fun and sexy.
Well...at least maybe fun.
I also share MY FAVORITE JOKE EVER. You even have my blessing to use it. Woo hoo!!!
I then talk a little bit about how crazy the current presidential race has been in the United States. It really has been nutty so far!
There's other fun stuff here too, but I'm not going to tell you everything about the show, because, hey - we all need some mysteries in our lives, don't we?
Woo hoo to mystery and woo hoo to fun!
And woo hoo to you too!
Have a great day, my friend!
Hi, beautiful person reading this! I start this weeks' show talking about my big, big problem with Worcestershire sauce and then move into talking about that groovy and popular Pokemon Go thing. Should I have just put one of those little squiggly things above the second 'o' in Pokemon? Well, it's okay, you know what I'm talking about, right?
I then go-go into talking about other things like the new Ghostbusters movie (which I haven't seen yet) and some other movies I actually have seen recently.
And hey, how about nudity? Today is National Nude Day and I mention it on the show. If you're listening to the show sometime after National Nude Day and you still want to be nude, go and do it. Just be careful where you're doing it and who you're doing it with.
Go be happy whether you're naked or not and thanks for listening to the show.
Have a great day!
Washington, DC may be becoming a state...but is it all on the up and up? I think there's something sneaky going on. I figured it all out. Give a listen to my thoughts on the conspiracy.
Hey, do you love a good fruit salad? Who doesn't, right? Here's my secret recipe for my Frah-Lau- La Salad. You're going to love it!
I then talk about the movie Concussion starring Will Smith and then I talk about the band AC/DC, which has nothing at all to do with Will Smith. Seriously, I discuss whether or not the band should keep going on since they keep losing their original members.
Then I talk about the book cover for my upcoming novel, Mr. Nice Guy, which I love a lot. :-)
Thanks for reading and for listening. Have a fantastic day!
Happy You're-Reading-This-Right-Now Day! Okay, that's not a real holiday (yet) but it seems like every single day is some sort of holiday, huh? I start the show by talking about how wacky it all can be.
Then I talk about some cool things I've watched lately, including a classic British sitcom and Larry David's great Curb Your Enthusiasm show. I almost mention a very good movie I watched the other night.
Then I move into music. I kind of glide into it. It's sort of sexy how I do it. Well, maybe not sexy....but hey, listen anyway. Then there's some stuff about appreciating diff...oh, just listen, okay? Thanks.
Hey, how about that Pinterest place, huh? I've got a page there now and I share a little of what's on my boards so far, which is fun and groovy stuff, if I so say so my groovy self.
Then I get a bit serious and talk about bullying and how horrible it can be - not just for kids, but for all of us.
Then I get all HAPPY again at the end. Yay!
This one starts with me drooling (not literally, thank goodness) over coffee and other tasty things.
Then I discuss my recent 2 anniversary of my engagement and talk a little about the first wonderful months of my incredible romance with Lisa. Aaaah! I love her so much. :-)
This leads into a talk about the importance of being happy in one's own skin and how important it is to be true to yourself so that you can be as happy as possible.
Then I discuss the new and exciting Cool Reader program at Gott Publishing, which Lisa and I are very excited about.
I then move on to movies I've recently seen (Zootopia is one of them) and some music I've been jamming to lately.
Thanks for reading this and for listening to the show. If you enjoy the show, please go to iTunes and leave a rating and review for it. Thank you again. Have a great day!
On this episode of the show, the topic is Romantic Comedies!
I recently read two great romantic comedy novels by author Rich Amooi. His most recent release is entitled Lilliana Jones and the Temple of Groom. I love that title. It's fantastic! Rich has had quite a bit of success over the past couple of years with his very fun books. I was thrilled to be able to interview him here about his writing career and his great novels.
So, what are some of YOUR favorite romantic comedies in books and movies? I asked that question online and I got some FANTASTIC answers from some fantastic people and I shared them here on the show. I bet you'll hear us mention some of your own favorites.
Isn't that fantastic?
Yes, I know I've used that word a lot here, but what can I say? I'm in a fantastic mood today. :-)
Thank you for reading this and for listening to this episode. I hope you have a fantas...no...make that a WONDERFUL day! Enjoy. :-)
What was the book (or books) that made you fall in love with reading? I asked this online today and it turned into a very fun discussion. My friends shared their beloved and favorite books with me and now I'm sharing their choices with all of you. A lot of great books were mentioned here and I bet you'll find one or two (or more) that you loved too.
Next up, I give my review of Good Times! It's the brand new album from The Monkees, the legendary band which is celebrating their 50th anniversary this year. How does this new album compare to their classic music from the 1960's? I'll let you know you what I think.
Lastly...a very big announcement about Gott Publishing, the new company that my wife Lisa and I have formed. Something just happened that we're both very happy about and I tell you about it here.
Thank you for reading this and for listening to the show. I hope you have a wonderful day!
Who's an agent of Hydra? Me or Captain America? Well, it's not me and I'm not happy about it. Not that I'd want to be one, but I talk here about my thoughts on this big change for Captain America.
Hey, do you like books? So do I. What a wonderful thing to have in common, huh? I talk about Keller's Fedora, which is by Lawrence Block and is about a hit man. I also discuss Kissing Frogs, a romantic comedy by Rich Amooi.

Thank you for reading this and for listening to the show. Have a wonderful day!
Hi there! Do you like reboots and remakes of movies and television shows? I bet there are some that you love and some that you hate. Prior to the recording of this episode, I went online and asked people there the same thing that I just asked you.
You can see where I'm going with this, right? Of course you can. You're not only beautiful, but you're also awesome and intelligent.
So, yes, I talk here about remakes and reboots that myself and others (perhaps even you) either like or dislike. I also discuss upcoming remakes/reboots such as Ghostbusters, Star Trek, and MacGyver.
Then the show takes a bit of a more serious turn...
I've been on a journey lately in which I've been trying to let go of many things that have troubled me in my past so that I can appreciate the present more. I talk about some of the struggles I've had and how I'm moving forward with them. I also mention how a book called Broken Open by Elizabeth Lesser has been helpful to me on this journey of mine.
Thank you for reading and for listening. I hope that your personal journey includes as many smiles and good feelings as possible.
All the best...
Buddy
This one starts out with a very special guest star...The Sad Cowboy!
Then it's time for a battle of the bands as Buddy compares new songs from Radiohead and The Monkees.
Who will win this epic battle? Hmmm...
Next up, Buddy talks about how he challenged himself by attempting to take a break from social media.
Was he able to do it? Hmmm...
Do you watch The Walking Dead? Buddy and his wife Lisa never saw it until just this week.
Did they like it? Did they hate it? Did they turn it off and watch Fuller House instead? Hmmm...
Things then wrap up with Buddy talking about a new feature on his website called Being Buddy.
Will me, the writer of this, type "hmmm" again?
Hmmm...
I talk first about how the recently announced closing of Booktrope has affected many writers, including my wife Lisa, who is/was with Booktrope.
While the closing of Booktrope is a horrible thing in many ways, I discuss how it has led to the creation of Gott Publishing.
Then I share something very personal: my recent discovery that I have Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD.) It's been quite an eye-opener to me about so many different problems I've had throughout my life. I talk about what I've learned and how I'm now moving forward with all of this.
I also talk about a great podcast for writers from author Mikey Campling, some upcoming plans for my website, the awesomeness of breakfasts at odd times, and the success my wife and I have had recently with our exercise goals.

Then there's some talk about Genesis and Phil Collins and something cool that Phil has recently been doing.
Then, in a moment that may make your heart melt, BG (that's Buddy Gott) wishes one of YOU a very special Happy Birthday.
Almost lastly, but almost not leastly, Buddy talks about a cool new podcast from writer Patrick Stemp and about the brand new album from classic rockers Cheap Trick.
He also talks about his new Runnin' Bud.
Really lastly, and really not leastly, Buddy ends things with pointy birds.
See ya. Have a great day!
In this heartwarming (and slightly disturbing) new episode, Buddy Gott presents a groovy new segment of the show called Word of The Day, in which you can learn complex new math puzzles to amaze your friends with!
Just kidding, of course. It's, uh, about words.

Also, there's some talk about spoiling and being a spoil sport, some thoughts on sharing your politics with others, and Buddy's final review of Kurt Vonnegut's Slaughterhouse-Five.

"But will Buddy rock us??? Will he rock our little hearts out?"
He sure will, dear reader. Buddy closes out the show with his performance of a classic rock and roll song.
Rock on and have a great day!
