Who is Joe?
Joe De Sena – Founder and CEO of Spartan, the world’s largest obstacle race and endurance brand – has demonstrated his entrepreneurial drive since his pre-teens. After building a multimillion-dollar pool and construction business in college, and creating a Wall Street trading firm, De Sena set his sights on ripping 100 million people off their couches by creating the Spartan lifestyle. Following a successful career on Wall Street, De Sena moved his family to Pittsfield, Vermont to operate an organic farm, a bed and breakfast, and a general store for hikers. It was here his passion grew for ultramarathons, adventure races, and endurance events, and thus the idea for Spartan was born. With more than one million annual global participants at more than 200 events across more than 30 countries, Spartan offers heats for all fitness levels and ages, from beginner to elite and Kids as young as four-years-old. The brand has transformed more than five million lives since it was founded in 2010.
De Sena is also the New York Times Best Selling Author of “Spartan Up” and “Spartan Fit,” and recently released his third book, “The Spartan Way.” As a popular key note speaker, De Sena has parlayed the teachings of his Spartan Principals into the SpartanX Leadership Forum, a series of events in which participants collaborate to solve challenges alongside business leaders while learning to overcome mental and physical obstacles. In addition to race events, the Spartan lifestyle that De Sena built encompasses all the tools one needs to transform their lives including partnerships with fitness brands such as Life Time, 24Hour Fitness and the DailyBurn; complementary training, nutrition plans and content; television series on NBC and Facebook; forthcoming documentaries about the brand, sport and health; and an extensive line of apparel and licensed fitness gear and equipment. Throughout his lifetime, Joe has competed in any extreme sports adventure he could find, testing his mental and physical endurance against nature. Joe turned an interest in endurance racing into a passion. His racing resume is the stuff of legend – over 50 ultra-events overall and 14 Ironman events in one year alone.

What four-letter word describes your relationship with your business?
It should be L-O-V-E.
But it’s hard to love your business when you feel trapped by it. Especially during hard times, business owners tend to believe that any failure in their business is a direct reflection of themselves.
Debbie King, author of the bestselling book Loving Your Business knows what it’s like to feel trapped by a business she used to love. When she was forced to make tough choices like putting a lien on her home to make payroll, she began to feel resentful. She felt that way for years before she made two fundamental shifts: she changed the way she THOUGHT about her business and the way she RAN it.
Debbie escaped the owner's trap by turning her business into an asset that has value beyond the revenue it generates, creating both freedom and security.
Top 3 Takeaways
Loving your business is the fastest way to freedom.
Get clarity on your strategy, constrain your focus in order to scale, while making friends with money and numbers.
Feel the freedom that comes from having choices. Once your business is an asset that runs without you, you can scale, sell, or have someone else run it.

Who is Nick? (written by Nick)
Learning has been my lifelong passion. There are too many fascinating subjects; everything has its own magic. So, I’ve always gone into different fields to study them. Some only on the surface, others more in-depth. I’ve been into arts (music, writing, photography, magic), sports (Muay Thai, jiu-Jitsu, swimming, bodybuilding), languages (Spanish, English, French, Japanese), business (entrepreneurship, options trading, real estate investing) and many other skills and interests (riding motorcycles, memorizing playing cards, beer brewing). Learning gives purpose to my life and shines light through the darkness that insists on looming over me.
There are a lot of amazing things to learn that can become our life companions, our shelters, and even part of our identity. I can’t think of anything more gratifying than adding new knowledge and skills to our lives, progressively improving at them, and wearing ourselves out by developing our potential.
Top 3 Takeaways
The fastest way to improve is to learn.
Nick teaches you how to learn effectively.
We must learn to separate the performance from the performer.

Moe Abbas is the CEO and co-founder of Acadium, a remote apprenticeship marketplace for digital jobs. They help candidates get training, networking and hiring opportunities, for free. These include roles in social media, content writing, graphic design and more.
From Moe
My family came to Canada as refugees when I was 3 where we were graciously accepted and supported. We grew up impoverished financially but rich with morals and love. I remember going door to door at 10 years old selling services and products to help my parents. I've only ever been an entrepreneur, building and learning.
At nineteen years old, I founded my first two companies which I later sold. At 21 I founded Ottawa General Contractors with a few childhood friends. In 5 years, I led the group from a basement office into Canada’s leading residential design build company with 20+ million in sales and design centers across the country.
At 26 years I won the NKBA 30 under 30 award and I was the youngest recipient ever of the OBJ 40 Under 40 Award. I have also won the Immigrant Entrepreneur award from the City of Ottawa and many others.
Top 3 Takeaways From Moe
If you have a business idea, you have to first prove there are people willing to buy your product or service. Once you have proved that, then start to build out the idea.
The idea of an apprenticeship is still a magical thing.
Your mind is like a heat-seeking missile. You want to ensure your attention is on the right things.

Joining us today on the podcast is my brother Ross. As you will hear from today's episode, I didn't bring Ross on solely because we are blood-related. Ross is a super talented sales trainer that works with high-tech sales teams to grow revenue & acquire the right customers. He introduces us today on how to sell a different way, the conscious way.
In Ross' words: My Approach
Most salespeople are trained on a playbook, hit the auto-dialer, and begin to belt out their rehearsed lines. Worse yet, those among them often considered “the best” are merely slightly better than the most at memorizing objection handles or pithy quotes from the playbook.
The Conscious Selling methodology takes a radically different approach, one built for today’s buyer, one who is constantly learning and adapting to the market and whose needs are constantly evolving and changing—far faster than your playbook can keep up with.
I don’t focus on static plays and already-dated playbooks. Instead, I focus on teaching your team how to achieve continuous value alignment with your buyers.
The approach is consultative, no non-sense, and most importantly integrity-based. My reps have conversations that create win-win-win deals for business, customer, and customer’s customer alike.

Peter Taunton is a pioneer in the fitness industry. In 2003, he had a vision for Snap Fitness: to create an affordable, 24-7, results-driven gym differentiated from the impersonal, expensive big-box experience. Today there are Snap Fitness franchises in 2,500 locations in 26 countries. And Taunton, CEO of Lift Brands, didn’t stop there.
Taunton is an expert at understanding consumer desires and fulfilling them. In recent years, he has acquired and founded several brands to round out the consumer-fitness experience: 9Round, Farrell’s, YogaFit, STEELE Fitness, Fitness On Demand. Together with the Snap Fitness brand, they comprise the world’s largest wellness franchise organization, serving 165 million workouts and counting.
Taunton, who prior to founding Snap Fitness owned nine America’s Fitness Centers, has designed a franchise-development operation that is the envy of the industry. He leads with infectious enthusiasm, which attracts prospective owners from all over the world. He provides them with affordable financing, world-class support and an easy turnkey process. Most importantly he teaches them his own management philosophy, “Success is 10 per cent what happens to you and 90 per cent how you react to it.”
Taunton’s accomplishments have been well-recognized by the business community. In 2010, he was named an Ernst and Young “Entrepreneur of the Year.” His companies have also been featured for six years running in such prestigious industry lists as Entrepreneur 500, Inc 5000, Top Global and Franchise 500.
For Taunton, it comes down to one word: passion. He has it, he teaches it, and the results speak for themselves. Even as his operations expand, he remains ever-committed to providing owners and members with the tools and programs they need to reach life-changing goals. Today I have over 6000 locations across three wellness brands in 28 countries.

David is committed to a world in which the vast majority of people wake up inspired to go to work, feel safe while they're there and go home at the end of the day fulfilled by the work they do. Today, he's here to share a few simple ideas that are helping to make that world a reality. In 2004, he started a career in corporate training. A few years later, while earning an MBA with a focus in Organizational Development, he realized something. What he, and so many other people, were being taught in business school was contributing to the poor leadership he had been enduring for much of his career. In 2009, shortly after beginning his MBA studies, he met, and was inspired by Simon Sinek and his concept of the Golden Circle and was invited to join Simon's team. He started by developing content to help Simon share his powerful ideas and in 2012 he began speaking and facilitating workshops to help shift people's perceptions about leadership and culture. David has now taken his years of practice and co-authored with Simon, Find Your Why, a step-by-step, practical guide on how to discover the Why for any individual, team or organization. David is globally recognized as the “How” guy to Simon’s “Why.” David has presented these simple, inspiring ideas on 5 continents to over 150 organizations in a wide range of industries such as athletics, technology, retail, healthcare, finance, government and hospitality. Regardless of the organization's size, industry or country, David finds that these ideas resonate with those who want to find meaning in what they do and are committed to creating a culture where people come before profit.

I want to start by stating; I am a cisgender, middle-class, white, privileged male. I grew up with more opportunities and advantages than most. I have certainly worked hard for what I have gotten in life, but I am not naive to think I am where I am today only because of me and my hard work. I have been given opportunities, chances, money, and support every step of the way.
I see a police officer and I feel safe. I have no idea what it is like to feel any other way. I have no idea what it is like to be discriminated against, looked at differently, to be called names, not given opportunities, to be beaten, or to have my neck kneeled on simply because of the color of my skin.
I wake up in the morning and take my dog for a walk, and never have I felt unsafe. I walk into a store to make a purchase and am never questioned on whether or not my money is real. I could go to a store every day for the rest of my life to buy a pack of cigarettes and never be questioned about that.
If my experiences in life have taught me anything it is that you don’t know what you don’t know. If you have never experienced something yourself, you can’t understand what that person is going through or has gone through.
So, I am not going to sit here and say that I understand what black people are feeling or going through right now. I will not offer my opinion on what I think should or shouldn’t happen. I will not offer my unsolicited advice on a subject I have not lived, breathed and experienced. I will not pretend to understand what it is like to not be a cisgender, middle-class, white, privileged male.
What I will do is listen. What I will do is educate myself. What I will do is look at myself and my own biases to uncover what I can do to become a better person.
What I will not do is stand idly by while others make ignorant comments.
I, along with many of you, will never understand what it is like to not be white. I can only hope that one day, regardless of what race a child may be, they too can live in a world that I live in every day.
I am privileged. I am white. But what I will not be is a bystander.

Today on the Daily Grind Podcast we are joined by Wellspent Co-Founder Anush Sachdeva.
Wellspent was born from years of research exploring and understanding the relationship people have with their money and the ways technology was changing it. Through these observations, Anush Sachdeva and his longtime co-founders noticed a gap in how money management apps were built and the way in which money actually existed in people’s lives.
With an Economics degree from the University of British Columbia, Anush has always loved collecting and analyzing data to find trends and problems worth solving. He started with RBC nearly seven years ago as a behavioral choice architect, focusing on consumer psychology and experience design. In this role, he helped set up and support a Design & Innovation research practice group. This established the foundation for several years of work and study to better understand decision-making in the context of money management, and developing tools that support it. Previous to RBC and RBC ventures, Anush co-founded a news aggregation startup called, WePower and worked briefly in Advertising.
Anush’s co-founders, Matt and Dan, have backgrounds in leading and conceptualizing innovative projects and strategy in the personal finance space and mobile banking apps.
Together, Wellspent was created within RBC Ventures, a unit of RBC (Royal Bank of Canada), and launched in December of 2018. Today, Wellspent is a free money management app on a mission to help Canadians make better decisions with their money.

In today's episode of The Daily Grind, Colin sits down with fellow podcaster, author, speaker, and entrepreneur. Mark's primary goal here on Planet Earth is to help others eliminate their internal enemy within and live a life of mental and emotional freedom.
Get a copy of Mark's new book, "Screw Being Shy", at https://www.markmetry.com/screw-being-shy-book.
About The Book> Screw Being Shy: Learn How to Manage Social Anxiety and Be Yourself in Front of Anyone
Forget shyness. Forget being the quiet person in the back of the room. There’s nothing wrong with being an introvert, but society has largely confused this term with a real problem that many faces: social anxiety. Communicating your authentic self to others is crucial to achieving success and happy life. If you are among the 40-60% of people who report being shy, this book will guide you through the necessary steps to learn to be yourself in front of others.

Today's episode is about compassion and leadership. These principles were shared on Tuesday's episode with Rock Thomas. You can find that interview at https://www.dailygrindpodcast.com/post/__495.
Compassion is defined as a feeling of deep sorrow for another who is stricken by misfortune, accompanied by a strong desire to alleviate the suffering. Think to yourself, "who needs me today"? Think, "who have I hurt"? Reach out to those and offer support and help.
We all need more compassion right now.

About Peter
Together with the Snap Fitness brand they comprise the world’s largest wellness franchise organization, serving 165 million workouts and counting.
Taunton, who prior to founding Snap Fitness owned nine America’s Fitness Centers, has designed a franchise-development operation that is the envy of the industry. He leads with infectious enthusiasm, which attracts prospective owners from all over the world. He provides them affordable financing, world-class support and an easy turnkey process. Most importantly he teaches them his own management philosophy, “Success is 10 percent what happens to you and 90 percent how you react to it.”

About Today's Show
This podcast has a lot to do with what has been going on in the world. It is also something I am passionate about and talk about frequently in the sports world, but today, we are talking in general terms.
Although this podcast today is not entrepreneurial per say like you are use to, I believe it is extremely important. You know what this is for entrepreneurs, this is for everyone.
The #metoo movement, abuse in the workplace, in sports, these have become a huge topic of conversation, and will continue to grow, the movement will get bigger, things will change, and we are starting to see that what used to be considered acceptable behavior is now being deemed wrong, as it should.
Brent Matthew Hayden (born October 21, 1983) is a Canadian competitive swimmer. Representing Canada for a decade, Hayden is regarded as the fastest swimmer in Canadian history. Hayden won a bronze medal in the 100-metre freestyle at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London with a time of 47.80.
Brent is also a Speaker and successful entrepreneur.

rowing up and starting to work, I remember my first job paying me $7.50/hour. At the time, that is all you know, because that is all that is taught. You work and get paid for your time. As you get older, you get paid more based on the job and work and so on. This is what is taught, so this is what we think is the norm.
A few years ago, I remember hearing people being paid over $500/hour and thinking WOW, they must be doctors and lawyers, or they must have a crazy skill set. How amazing would that I be, I wish. For most people listening, this is the case, it was hard to imagine people being paid like that. I heard people being paid to speak on stage for 40K and thinking, how the hell does that work. $40K per hour, that is something I can't comprehend. What does that come with, a gold bar?
As I began to learn more and understand the value and idea of money, I started to realize top performers and earners, think differently about time and money. Firstly, they don't value money in the same way as we do. It is just a thing to play with, they don't overvalue or undervalue money, they respect it but treat it almost like monopoly money. In monopoly, we take risks, we try and get ahead always, we don't sit back. Now, sometimes we lose, but we also win, and win big. Their goal is to get ahead and win.
Time is not to trade. Time is the most valuable thing we have. Time is cherished, used wisely and not thrown around for the sake of making money. See, they don't trade time for money, they trade value for money. I found this to be such an interesting way at looking at it. The value you are delivering, what is it worth to the audience, customer, etc. By me helping solve this problem, how much money does it save, how much will it help them gain? These are the questions they are asking.
Now, I get it, charging high rates can be frightening but it is also freeing. You need to understand your value to the marketplace. You need to be sold on that value. If you don't think you're worth a certain price, you probably aren't. So, how can we determine our true value? Well, if you are interested, I've created a free worksheet for you, just go to dgp.com and send me an email asking for it.
This concept is simple, you've probably heard of it but implementing it, although scary, is incredible. I went from 2 years ago, charging $200/hour to know sending invoices for over $5K for only a few hours work.
See, when your perception of yourself changes, so does the perception of the marketplace. You attract high paying clients, a more driven and successful type of person and in doing so, you are able to make a bigger impact and get your clients amazing results. Your focus isn't on time, it is on value. How can I provide them with the best value ever? You start to ask yourself, how can I make this more valuable to charge higher rates? You realize time is not what people and businesses pay you for, it is value.
So, I want you to ask yourself what is my value? Be honest! If you want to make more money or help more people, focus on creating more value and I promise the money will follow.
Again, if you want to grab that workbook, go to dgp.com and get your free copy to find your true value.

Jordan is a Northwestern and Kellogg School of Management graduate, a two-time startup founder, a TEDx speaker, and a #1 best-selling author. Jordan has been asking hundreds of people around the world how they live their lives on cloud nine, and he cannot wait to share this with all of you!
There is a point in your life you must face. Some more than others. That questions, do we risk it all for a cause or business that may or may not work, or do we not.
Should we go all in to make this work, or test it and do it on the side until we are ready. Is there a perfect time?

What kind of company would you want your father to work for?
That was the question that Fiasco Gelato CEO James Boettcher asked himself when he took over a small artisan gelato shop from his friend Matt Wilson in 2003. The son of a struggling single parent decided to start a company with strong social values that not only paid a living wage but was also committed to enriching people’s lives. Motivated by the grandiose vision of legendary entrepreneurs like Richard Branson, James built a vision for Fiasco as a company that could emulate great brands while simultaneously serving its community, treating its employees with respect while delivering a delicious, old-world product.
15 years and 6,000% growth later, Fiasco is considered a best-in-class Certified B Corporation, in a class with brands like Ben and Jerry’s. After dealing with setbacks like a major fire that gutted their original space, they now lead a team of 59 people in what they call 'The Little Gelato Shop That Could.' The company measures all aspects of its social output, including charitable donations, environmental impact, employee ownership, and diversity, even inputting a “Mission Lock” into its corporate documents to ensure that any future owners honor its purpose-driven approach.

Our Mission is to make hair loss a thing from the past.
Scalp micropigmentation (SMP) is an innovative solution that imitates the appearance of hair follicles that creates the illusion of thicker, fuller hair. Our practitioners are industry pioneers that have perfected the craft after performing over 8000 treatments over the course of a decade. The treatment involves the application of a proprietary formula of an organic based pigment (ink) to the scalp with micro-needles to create thousands of impressions just beneath the layer of skin. SMP is an affordable and non-invasive and non-medical solution when compared with invasive hair transplants which often see results fade within a couple years. Scalp micropigmentation can be used to add density to thinning areas, cover scars (from accidents/previous hair transplant procedures) as well as all other forms of hair loss.
I hear this statement all the time from people who encourage others to get into business for themselves:
“Find your passion. Do what makes you happy” or This is another very common one. “Do what you love to do.”
But what if someone doesn’t have a clear passion or purpose and is lost about finding his or her true purpose in life.
If you are seeking to find your passion or to find what makes you happy you might be waiting a long time, or you might never find it at all.
So how do you find your passion?
How about letting your actions guide you. Through action you will learn what you love to do and what you are good at. Those “aha” moments can present themselves when you are just busy doing other things.
For example, I never knew I would become a podcaster until I recorded my first podcast. I didn’t know I would be working with my father, until I wrote my first plan with him. See, if I never tried those things, I wouldn’t be in the position I am in now.
Put yourself in situations that put you out of your comfort zone. Read different books that you never thought that you would like. Experiment with new activities.
If you have never tried something before, how do you know if you will like it or not? Your passion can be found in any of these newfound small discoveries.
Thinking about it, wondering about it and even planning about it will not get you there.
Your change starts when you start taking action. Take action, be committed, and changes will come.

Helping to spotlight Hollywood’s reckoning in the wake of the #MeToo movement, actor, producer and gifted entrepreneur Adam Ambruso stars and holds a producer credit in the Sony Pictures award-winning film, BUTTERFLY CAUGHT, which made its debut and won ‘Best Ensemble Film’ at the 2017 San Diego International Film Festival and will make it highly-anticipated theatre release summer 2018.
BUTTERFLY CAUGHT trailer
Written and directed by Manny Rodriguez Jr., the film follows three bright-eyed women with dreams of making it big as actresses. Each is pushed past breaking points when they’re tempted with promises of fame and will be forced to decide how far they’re willing to go to become actresses. BUTTERFLY CAUGHT explores the dark underbelly of glitzy Hollywood and illustrates with deafening power, how the cut-throat industry makes victims of naïve newcomers. Touching on drugs, sexual advances, and make-or-break career decisions, the film’s artful take paints an all too real portrait of Hollywood’s deepest secrets.
Drawn to projects that passionately move audiences, Ambruso also recently starred in and executive produced Will Wallace’s thrilling drama, TRAFFICKED. Starring alongside Ashley Judd and written by a Harvard professor who wrote a book about human trafficking, TRAFFICKED explicitly details the story of three young women who are abducted and thrust into the vicious underworld of sex trafficking. TRAFFICKED made it’s premiere in 2017 and found the perfect balance to portray the horrifying truth of sex slavery while also not pushing the audience beyond its limits. Adam also appeared in the drama RUNNING WILD opposite Sharon Stone, Tommy Flanagan, and Jason Lewis and the Syfy original horror-sci-fi film ATOMIC SHARK.
Originally from Austin, Texas, Adam graduated from the University of Texas at Austin and has since made deep roots in Los Angeles, and while not on-set has also balanced a career as a successful entrepreneur; building properties and dabbling in investment real estate. Adam is also a strong health advocate and maintains a rigid fitness routine complete with Bruce Lee ab workouts.

Niraj Naik is a qualified pharmacist with a history of working long hours as a community pharmacist. As a “legal drug dealer”, he witnessed first-hand, many clients going home with bags full of drugs each month, rarely getting better and usually going on to suffer from other diseases. He also saw the debilitating side effects of the prescription medication which drove many of the patients to have to take more and more drugs to ease the side effects. Eventually, he escaped the pharmacy as he was promoted to the head office of one of the largest supermarket chains in the UK to carry out his novel healthy shopping list system for delivering essential life saving information to patients on diet, nutrition and holistic health. This is when he was first branded as ‘The Renegade Pharmacist’ as the corporate management felt the idea was too ‘risky’ and could conversely impact profits. The fear of going back to his old job dishing out pills overwhelmed him and he found himself housebound for nearly a year with depression and an autoimmune condition called Ulcerative Colitis. He was left with the option of being a guinea pig for a new untested drug or undergoing a colectomy (removal of the colon). So began his search to learn from those who had great success in curing themselves or others from chronic illness. He learned a combination of natural treatments including Ayurvedic practices, and dietary recommendations from Paleo and SCD. He studied healing methods through meditation, yoga, and mind power techniques like self hypnosis and NLP. He even discovered the powerful techniques of sound and music therapy as tools for reducing stress and promoting self healing. Niraj finally broke free from the burdens of his illness, without medication. His experience of chronic illness forced him to completely reinvent his life and discover a new passion for helping others do the same. His speciality is helping people recover from metabolic diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, obesity, and autoimmune diseases. He helps people prevent or reduce the dependency on long term medication. Niraj is now a professional musician, holistic health expert, and exceptional entrepreneur. He runs several successful websites that help others who suffer from stress-related, chronic diseases through his self-composed, captivating meditation music and online courses. Niraj’s music is used by healing centres, spas, and therapists worldwide. It is understandable why Niraj no longer practices as a pharmacist, as his entire perception of disease and how to cure it has changed through his experience. He believes that the stress of modern living is the root cause of disease and poor health, and that treatment begins with self belief.

Kendal Netmaker is one of Canada’s leading entrepreneurs and speakers, from Sweetgrass First Nation, SK. He grew up in poverty, raised by a hard-working single mother who cared for Kendal and his three siblings against the backdrop of a bleak economic landscape and few chances for improvement. But his life changed unexpectedly in fifth grade, when he befriended a young boy from South Africa, whose family provided the necessary funding for Kendal to take part in soccer. This opened up a whole other world for him that he would have never otherwise experienced. Two years later, when the family was relocating, they gave Kendal’s family their car; it was a life-changing gift that helped his mother access all kinds of basic necessities that had previously been difficult – and meant that Kendal and his sisters could now take part in after school sports. The incredible generosity of his childhood friend’s family inspired Kendal to give back when he launched his company, Neechie Gear – a lifestyle apparel brand that empowers youth through sports. A percentage of all Neechie Gear profits go toward funding sports programs for underprivileged youth.
While finishing two degrees from the University of Saskatchewan, Kendal worked on growing the brand, which was initially based out of Kendal’s small, one-bedroom apartment. After graduation, Kendal opened several pop-up stores and then eventually, an official headquarters for the company, in Saskatoon, SK. The brand is now sold to consumers across North America through exclusive retail partners and online.
To date, Kendal has founded and invested in 5 businesses and won over 25 business awards, including runner-up at the YBI Global Entrepreneur of the Year. Kendal speaks professionally to thousands of people every year about motivation, leadership and the power of telling your story.
He lives with his wife and two children in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, where he continues to run his company and provide mentoring and inspiration to others in the business community.
Kendal is on a mission to empower entrepreneurs and leaders around the globe by demonstrating that regardless of where you come from and what you have gone through in your life, you have the power to enact change. Become who you were born to be! Kendal is the author of “Driven to Succeed: From Poverty to Podium - A First-Nation Success Story”, launched Oct. 9, 2018.

Josh Zloof, Co-Founder & CEO of Sudden Coffee is passionate about more than just serving up a great cup of coffee. After launching several businesses that ended in some success and even more failures, Josh knew he needed to find his “why.” This led to him founding Sudden Coffee on the idea of “making one billion people happy.” Today, Sudden Coffee has served over 100,000 cups of their single origin, specialty grade, instant coffee (delivered right to your door). With over $3.3M raised from investors like Y Combinator and CRV, Josh and Sudden Coffee have been featured in the New York Times, Food & Wine, and GQ. Sounds like grounds for celebration. In the last few years, we’ve had success beyond our wildest imagination – especially given that alongside it all, we’ve been juggling 5 little ones between us.
But it certainly hasn’t been a walk in the park. #hellno
We’ve managed to achieve this all for 3 core reasons: Experience, Education & Self-Belief.
Our experience in business spans far and wide – together, we have a collective 26+ years under our belts in small business, business development, media, marketing, and sales.
Alongside this, we have a variety of Degrees, Diplomas and a Masters between us - across the fields of Psychology, Life Coaching, Marketing and Business.
We’ve also personally invested upwards of $60k in our personal & business development since launching a business together 2.5 years ago.
Lastly, we’ve worked damn hard, we’ve taken risks, backed ourselves and stayed true to our vision, executing at every twist and turn.
And it’s all of this - that has enabled us to develop our transformational coaching programs.
By traditional methods of success, Whitney had achieved it all: an Ivy League Education, Masters Degree, and a prestigious title on Wall Street, but then why on the inside did she feel like she was dying?
After a 15 year career on Wall Street Whitney took a leap of faith that would change her life forever, packing up her bags and moving to Colombia. After years of neglect in the corporate rat race, Whitney began the slow process of healing her mind, body and soul. She began to dance to the rhythm of her soul, she left the concrete jungle to indulge in the beauty of the real one. She began to feel a joy she didn't know was possible.
And then one day her life changed forever. Whitney was diagnosed with breast cancer at the ripe age of 39. It was during the darkest moments of her battle that a tiny fire was lit, a fire that in time would become a raging inferno, a desire to help others create lives they love. Whitney used to hate her scars but now they fill her with pride, battle wounds of a Warrior Girl who in her darkness found her light, and in her weakness, her strength.
And thus Warrior Girl Coaching was born, a process that was created using the exact tools that Whitney used to transform her life.

Patrick has bootstrapped ProfitWell from nothing in 2012 to $10 million in 2017.
Six years ago, Patrick was hit with the inspiration to launch ProfitWell after seeing many founders putting blood, sweat, and tears into building businesses with their bare hands and then when it came time to put a price on their work they’d rely on faulty data or "gut feelings", leaving an enormous amount of cash on the table as a result.
Today, 25% of all SaaS businesses (8,000+ companies) use ProfitWell to get all of their subscription and financial metrics in one place for free. Patrick’s mission is to use the huge amount of proprietary industry data and experience they have to help companies apply the best strategies for finding and retaining customers.

Alex Fedotoff was born in Ukraine. He dropped out of university and while living with his parents, he worked a 9-to-5 job with a salary of $100 a month selling cookies. Needing to provide for his family, Alex left the country. He tried multiple jobs but couldn't find anything that would satisfy him as he knew he wanted to be an entrepreneur.
Alex then quit his job and started several businesses that failed: photography business, eBay drop shipping business, another photography business. As he hadn’t learned this in school, he spent his nights learning the skills and his days looking for clients.
Eventually, a lot of people started to ask him about Facebook ads and Alex decided to focus his energy on that exclusively. Since then he has assembled a small team who has generated $100 mil.+ in sales for clients using Facebook ads. As most of his experience was with eCommerce businesses, Alex started and launched a dropshipping store that generated millions in sales before he successfully sold it.
