Life is confusing at times. Lately I hear statements and cries from people on media platforms in response to the crisis in our communities yelling out "...this is not who we are...". In response I question then qho are the multitude propagating hatred, lies and confusion? Why do some on a more subtle side feel we have all the answers? Why is it that we call on a God we don't seem willing to acknowledge in a deeper way? Why can't we collectively acknowledge the multiple brokenness systemically embedded in our nation and the world at large? In order to heal our afflictions we must bring ourselves to sincerely identify them and be willing to collectively collaborate to fix them. God is the way through Jesus if we can let Him in.

Prayer is a conversation with God conveying our concerns, hopes and requests. And as we communicate with each other exchanging concerns and thoughts the challenge in praying to God is our ability in listening to hear what God is saying to us. Many times our anticipation for God's response is heightened by our expectation and immediacy for quick answers as we expect things to be.. But God answers prayers in His appointed time. We must learn to be patient and wait on God's answer and direction.
