On January 18, 2023, the Chicago Police Department (CPD) notified COPA of an officer-involved shooting. Based on preliminary information, the incident began when an off-duty officer approached four subjects who appeared to be in an altercation in the 1300 block of West 90th Street.Three of the subjects eventually departed and walked west bound on 90th Street. One subject remained and continued to engage with the off-duty officer. As the off-duty officer began to walk away, the subject grabbed her from behind and reached for her weapon, which resulted in a physical struggle. As both parties fell to the ground, the off-duty officer’s weapon discharged, striking the subject, who later succumbed to his injuries. You may have lost out on good friends who have tried to tell you your vulnerabilities, probably in the fashion of, “See, you know what your problem is...” that you’ve rejected, all the while those who are (and were) really toxic for you never told you and will never tell you what your problems are. Why? If I want to use you, I want you vulnerable. I want you dependent on me. I want your mind. If I have your mind, I have your body. That person Who tried to tell you about a problem that could be a potential vulnerability for you was probably labeled as an asshole by you. But it takes someone bold and sometimes in the heat of an argument, to tell you something that you may need to know, only that your thinking brain is unable to analyze it because your thinking brain has shut down and you are operating in your emotions. Listen. Learn. Perform. Free yourself of toxicity.

Passage of the amendment to the Illinois Cannabis Control Act (720 ILCS 550 et. seq.) is said to be the thing that will bring Illinoisans out of a budget crisis! Illinoisans, I KNOW you DIDN’T read the law. So, lemme help ya. Yep. They passed the bill for weed for enjoyment can be used in IL.

🚨🚨NEWSFLASH🚨🚨: Weed will NOT yet be legal until Jan. 1, 2020. When legalized, you STILL can’t smoke-n-drive, smoke-n-shoot, smoke-n-buy a gun, smoke-n-be free from a drug test. Yo street weed man is not a legal source from whom you can purchase. Illegal marijuana/narcotics distribution is still illegal. Possession of certain amounts is still illegal. Jail and unemployment is still real. And the feds can still bust you (Insert DEA’s face here 👉🏽😁👈🏽). Smoke away. Finally, gave you what you wanted. We often hear of media-reported violence and now we Chicagoans hear of incidents where Illinois-licensed concealed carry holders are defending themselves in attacks against them, their families, or their property. But, there is rarely an After-Action Review (AAR). Why are AARs important? Well, in combat, anything that works to stop a deadly threat works, right? Well, depends. Yep. It worked. But, did it work because you were lucky? Was the bad guy operating to unlawfully kill you on an off or non-peak day? Will it work again? Can we always improve? Will you always do it right? AARs or What Would Mike Do?) WWMDs give you a perspective to analyze possible shortcomings and areas to improve from and in while praising what was done correctly. Nipsey’s Death is tragic, but so too is any persons death. Is the large outpouring of love for Nipsey a placebo for unity? Will we return to the very violence that consumed the life of Nipsey Hussle? 16 Shots and a Coverup! What? 16 Counts and a Coverup! Wh...wait. What?! Yep. Kinda the same. You had one job. In the wake of the Jussie Smollett apparent dismissal/not-dismissal/recusal/non-recusal/WTF-ish Case, Cook County States Attorney Kim Foxx is being heavily chastised by the justice-wanting public for ridding her office of a case that arguably embarrassed multiple entities of the city of Chicago and its people where accountability, at a minimum, was demanded. One camp wants her gone. Another wants her retained. The Illinois Prosecutors Bar Association has blasted Foxx’s actions. But her apparent emotionally reactive supporters believe her chastisement is racially motivated. Is this Black’s Law or Black Law? Procedure or Prejudice? You decide.

At about 2 a.m. Tuesday, Smollett, 36, reported he was walking alone in the 300-block of East North Water Street when two people he didn't know started yelling racial and homophobic slurs at him, police said. He told Chicago police that the attackers yelled "MAGA country," according to CPD spokesperson Anthony Guglielmi. While we are cognizant of the horrendous attacks visited those in the LBGT community, we are also cognizant of evidence and unanswered questions that need corroboration as to one’s claims. Real or fake attack? Listen and be the jury as Instructor Mike revisits his analysis of the incident and the new development from his Facebook Live video taped 31 Jan 2019. Instructor Mike uses a very recent event to show why empathy and perspective is needed to foster understanding as to why stops can become possible by the police. Very worth the listen.

Blacks definitely need to listen to this. No disrespect to other races (you KNOW I love ya). Black stereotypes and perceived passions are being used to “give the Black People what they want” while covertly withholding that what they want can and will disqualify them from licenses to own, purchase, and possess firearms and ammo. A MUST LISTEN!!! Other races benefit too from this message for the law isn’t discriminative. It affects you too. America was founded on the use of force. We must fight to maintain it. Share and fight!
