- The tanks were so successful, the British and Americans continued to use them throughout the war, and into the 1950’s.
- Conditions inside the tanks were rumoured to be so bad that soldiers refused to volunteer, so crews had to be selected through lottery.
- The tanks were part of a fighting division called the ‘Funnies’, which were a group of weirdly-designed tanks used during the Normandy Landings.
