This podcast explores what it is like to navigate the world feeling like or actually being the only one in a given situation. It is a way for us to give voice to Black women and women of the African diaspora to uncover how this hyper-awareness of self affects the ways we live and relate to others. In the isolation of this feeling, we find community and invite the listener to come along for the ride.
At a bar in LA over bites and libations, you are going to join a conversation that had started a few minutes before. This was a group of four black women of different generations talking for the very first time. The Q was simple: Have you ever felt like the only one? Karen, Nicole, and Maya lend their voices to the discussion. Enjoy!
