This episode is a repost of a show I was on called the Revenue Growth Podcast with Darrell Amy! Be sure to check out his other episodes here!
In my conversation with Darrell, I talked about the importance of coaching within the business space. Why do you need a coach? Well, for starters, it saves you time, and truly… it can’t hurt! Sometimes it helps to have an outside perspective, and to have guidance from someone who has hiked the mountain before.
Here’s what we discuss in this episode:
Variety is the spice of life: having diversity in opinions and backgrounds cand give a variety to a business that will help it grow!
Short game or long game? The answer is BOTH! Business is all about the short-game AND the long-game.
How to free up your time: One of my favorite business tricks is figuring out how to do what works in less time, and stopping the things that aren’t working. If it’s not helping you grow, don’t waste your time doing it. I teach you the exact exercise to figure all that out in this episode!
2020 has been a crazy year, but it’s also been the year where heart-centered entrepreneurs can truly step up and serve! If you really want to be in the business for the long game, always care about people and lead from the heart.
Be sure to check out Darrell’s podcast for more awesome episodes!

Hello Heart Centered Entrepreneurs! Let’s talk about the unsexy truths about building an online coaching business. Today we’ll be talking about something most coaches breeze by but will make the biggest difference in your business. This episode is all about the foundation system for your business.
Most people start at the top, and that is wrong. You have to start with the foundation, because it’s that foundation that will help you build a successful business. It’s crucial to channel your focus and your energy into building a strong foundation that will support a successful business.
What is the foundation to a business? There are 5 elements (and a bonus 6th element!)
Now for the bonus piece: social optimization. Once you have built your foundation built (you have the right clients, the right product, the right price, and you’re positioned in a way that makes you unique from your competitors with a business built to scale), you have to make sure that your social media is optimized and branded in a way that your ideal clients are attracted to you and will want to follow you. Steps 1-5 should be in your bio and your content.
Once you have these 6 steps, you can now build the other parts of your business.

Erik spent 4 years locked up in prison, but it was during those 4 years where he discovered self-development and a desire to share that with others. He is a coach and motivational speaker sharing his 4-step process of transformation.
In this episode, we’re going to talk about the small steps you can take TODAY in your business that will help you make big changes.
The first step you need to take is that of awareness: stop trying to change your life… figure out what ABOUT your life you want to change. Compartmentalize your life into these categories: health & wellness, mindset & emotion, relationships (family, significant other, peers, friends), and career & finances. Where do you want to see change? From there, you can figure out the small steps to implement to make those changes.
As a heart centered entrepreneur, your perspective shouldn’t be built around you, but rather, your ideal client. When you build your brand, build it around who YOU are, but your content and your delivery should be about the client.
With more coaches online than ever before, it’s more important than ever to show up. What might work for someone else may not work for you: remember, there’s more than one way up the mountain!

I used to HATE this topic, because I was never sure if I was able to do it right. My guest this week is Kate Perkovic, a business coach specializing in heart-centered sales. After dabbling in health coaching, she realized it wasn’t really for her, so she pivoted to business coaching. This social worker-turned-sales coach now goes by the name of the Sales Sweetheart and coaches others in the closing of high-ticket sales.
When it comes to sales, telling people they HAVE to decide in the moment, the guilt tactics (“if you do this, you won’t succeed”), the pressure… that is NOT the way to go!
Kate has been able to bring elements of social work into sales and truly transform the process into one that is about service, and about the transformation of the client and their needs over yours.
In this episode, we’re going to dive deep into how to approach your sales from a heart-centered perspective, how to find balance in your business, and figuring out how to find the right price point for you so that you can serve to the best of your ability.

Travis Chappell grew up in a strictly religious bubble, and ended up getting a degree in ministry. He realized that wasn’t his path, but because his degree wasn’t from an accredited institution, he didn’t have much to fall back on, so he got into door-to-door sales, but because he wasn’t a part of the corporate world, he couldn’t do much with that sales experience and nobody would hire him. That’s when he discovered the world of podcasting.
So why podcasting?

Hello Heart Centered Entrepreneurs! Let’s talk about sales: why they are crucial to your business and how to be great at it! In this episode, we’re going to dive deep into two things: what you should be doing before a sales call, and what you should be doing on a sales call.
Sales calls are the way to do it! If you’re going to charge more than $500 for something, you’re going to want to get on a call with someone to sell to them. For something less than $500, you could always get on a short call, or you can just close it via messenger or email.
Here’s what you should focus on BEFORE your call:
Here’s what you should do ON your call:
What NOT to do on a sales call:

Hello Heart Centered Entrepreneurs! Welcome to the third installment of the Mountain Series, so you might hear some of the beautiful noises of nature in the background of this episode!
Let’s talk about 3 ways you should NOT pitch your services. Mindset around selling is so important, and to be business-savvy and heart-centered, that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t do sales… it just means you do sales in a way that doesn’t feel pushy or aggressive, but rather, serving the world to the best of your capabilities.
The world needs your gifts. The world needs to be taught by you and served by you.

Hello Heart Centered Entrepreneurs! This week’s episode is a replay of one of my facebook live trainings. Let’s talk about lead nurturing and how to turn your cold leads into the hot leads that will get on a sales call with you. We’ll go over the process, step-by-step, to transform your leads. Listen all the way until the end for a Q+A session!
Before you even begin your sales process, you should start by building a targeted audience: adding 10-20 people a day who would be your ideal client. Once you have built your audience, we can talk about the clientele journey and how you should funnel your clients.
Step 1 - Content Distribution: choose the platform where your ideal clients will be, and use that platform to distribute content that will elicit a reaction from the right audience. How do you produce content that gets a reaction? Make sure your content asks questions that are niche-specific. If you never ask your clients any questions, you’ll never get any answers. Create content that is emotional and that will generate feelings that will encourage them to engage.
Step 2 - Subscribe: That doesn’t just mean emails - it means getting the people who have been engaging with your content more free value. This can include a facebook group, an email list, or anything that is free, but also exclusive that they can subscribe to with a call-to-action.
Step 3 - Commit: You want people to love what you do without a shadow of a doubt, and to be so nurtured that getting on a sales call with you is a no brainer. When you give someone so much free value, they want to give back to you. Have 1:1 communication in your DMs to give them even more customized value.
Here is your client journey:
Client becomes a part of your audience > they see your content distribution > they start engaging > they subscribe to your system and methodology > you get them committed through 1:1 personalized help > you get them to a place where they are now a paying client
Follow this process and you’ll get EXACTLY what you’re looking for!

Welcome to the second episode in the Mountain Series, where I record out in nature, surrounded by mountains, and share with you something radically transformative for your business. You might hear some background noise!
One of the most common things I see with entrepreneurs who are just starting out is that they are focusing on the wrong things. They’re spending too much time on the wrong things and not enough time on the right things.
There are two factors we focus on in business: necessities and optimizations. So what’s the difference?
An example of a necessity is sales. No sales = no money coming in.
What’s an optimization? Getting better at sales, whether that’s writing better copy, creating a sales page, etc.
The ratio of which you should be focusing on this is 80/20. 80% of your time should be focused on necessities, and 20% of your time should be focused on optimization.
Getting better at the basics is what is best for your business.

Welcome to the FIRST episode in the Mountain Series, where I record out in nature, surrounded by mountains, and share with you something radically transformative for your business. You might hear some background noise!
Let’s talk about clarity.
“Have a vision.” “Set goals.” “Trust the process.” What does this even mean?
Be present. Being present is about living in the moment. This one, right here. Where you can be grateful for where you have and where you can find the most joy. If you’re being present, you’re not reminiscing about the past, and you’re not worried or fearing the future.
Having a vision. Ok… so how am I supposed to have a vision for the future if I’m supposed to live in the present? This is how: it’s about having a trajectory. It’s a direction of where you’re heading.
Vision vs. goals: goals are milestones that you achieve that lead you to the vision.
Process: the process is the activity you take in the present.
As long as you are taking the next step, you’ll end up where you want to go. Stop comparing yourself to others. Take your own path and stay on it, no matter how fast or how slow you go.

My guest this week is Melissa Martin! Melissa is a business coach, abundance expert, podcaster, and creator of the Ignite Academy for Network Marketers. Melissa’s zone of genius is helping people tap into abundance so they can radiate authentically, lead with authority, and attract abundance with ease.
Melissa found herself unemployed and in over 100k of debt in 2012. She was introduced to the power of network marketing, dove right in, earned over a million dollars in 7 years. In 2019 after the restructuring of her company, she lost everything in 60 days. But in all of that, she realized the secret sauce to building a business wasn’t in other people’s strategies and systems, but doing the inner work, finding her authentic voice, and having the confidence to share that with others.
In this episode, we’ll talk about alignment, putting in the work, and money mindset.
Here’s what you can learn in the episode:
What is alignment? Are you experiencing peace and joy? Are you consenting to everything with your soul? Living in true alignment is staying true to what your soul wants.
What is abundance? Abundance does not necessarily depend on money. There are some people who make millions of dollars a year who are not living in abundance, and there are people with next to nothing in their bank accounts who radiate abundance. Abundance is not a destination, it’s a vibration.
Masculine vs. Feminine energy: Women are anatomically designed to receive and create, so our feminine energy is the place where we can create our realities and receive our abundance. The masculine energy is where we execute, where we give, and where we can put forth those ideas into the world. Knowing how to use both of these energies is crucial to your business.

My guest this week is my personal mentor, Austin Netzley! I would not be where I am today without him, so if he can help me, he can help you too!
Austin wanted to go to school to get an engineering degree to learn the ins and outs of factories and operations, and then work his way up the corporate ladder by getting an MBA. That’s when he discovered entrepreneurship, and had a deep desire to give back, contribute, and lead people. Five businesses later, he finally got it right and found his purposes: and 2X was born.
In this episode, Austin and I talk about business basics, entrepreneurship, and building the framework for success.
Here’s what you can learn in the episode:
Entrepreneurs jump around looking for clarity. Is it a bad thing to jump around to figure it out? The answer is complex. Some people really need the stepping stones to go from one thing to the next. But some people do this for decades, and that’s the problem… do your jumping around for a few years, not forever.
Take risks, fail, learn, and move forward. Every successful entrepreneur has failed. Failures give you the greatest lessons.
Get clear on your audience: Who are the people you want to serve?
5 Business basics you need to know: are you selling the right people the right stuff at the right price with the right positioning in a way they can scale?

Let’s talk about YouTube.
Jessica is an online business coach for coaches, specializing in social media and YouTube for traffic. Jessica used to be in door-to-door sales, selling alarm systems. Even though she made good money, she felt trapped and felt like she needed something more. The first thing she searched on YouTube was “how to make money online.” She eventually started teaching about eCommerce, and her first YouTube video went viral, but she still was unhappy and felt inauthentic. She bought a one-way ticket to Indonesia, and started her coaching business with everything she learned along the way. She has scaled to multiple six-figures and counting.
When choosing a platform as an entrepreneur, first you must identify your zone of genius. In this episode, we talk about all things YouTube, and how you can optimize your YouTube channel and funnel clients into your business.

At 18, she got certified as a personal trainer, and she started an instagram account to document her journey in recovery from her ED and her journey through bodybuilding. Her instagram soon began gaining popularity and she began receiving requests from other young women asking for coaching. Once Kendall realized she could generate an income from this, she moved to California and launched her coaching business. She now not only takes fitness clients, but she also is a business coach for other coaches.
In this episode, Kendall is going to talk about how to nurture your clients and build your online business from the ground up.

Today we’re going to target online entrepreneurs and hopefully give you all something you can implement right away in your businesses.
My guest today is Olley Thorpe. Olley runs a Social Media Marketing agency in the U.K. He studied motion graphics & animation in college while working at a shoe shop, but in his final year of college… he quit. His cousin referred him for a job, and despite not being qualified for it, he interviewed and got it (it’s not who you know, it’s what you know!). During this time, he got really into fitness, and decided to become a personal trainer. His attention shifted from going to the gym to learning about the gym, and as soon as he got his qualification, he gave his notice at his job, and got a job working at a gym. But even that left him feeling like there was no room for growth, so he started freelancing, both with video editing and even personal training, and thus began the leap into the entrepreneur, online sphere.
In this episode, Olley and I talk about content creation, platforms (especially YouTube), equipment, and more.

Let’s talk mindset!
Dean has a background in health & fitness and has been in the industry for about 12 years. He met Todd while working in gyms. After living as an elite athlete, he realized that being strict about your eating, exercising, and lifestyle is not the right way to live. Todd’s story is very different. He struggled growing up with a tumultuous childhood and drug addiction. He finally decided that enough was enough, and quit doing drugs cold turkey and finally realized that change comes from within. Dean is the extrovert and Todd is the introvert, but it is in their opposite personalities that they create the perfect balance in their partnership.

Sometimes we dive too deeply into the strategical, tactical side of business, but this episode is going discuss the mindset and spiritual side of the spectrum
My guest this week is Dan Mendilow. Dan is a Mindset Mentor & Coach and self-proclaimed “Leader-maker”. He helps people to get out of their own ways, and have the correct energy, psychology, and self-trust to unleash their genius not only into their business, but into their life.
Dan was born in Jerusalem, Israel but raised in New Jersey and struggled to fit in, going so far as to reject his heritage and culture at the age of 3. For as long as he can remember, he struggled with depression and self-loathing. In school he was bullied and had difficulty making friends. As an adolescent and young adult he found himself suicidal and addicted to drugs and alcohol until he hit rock bottom and decided he needed to change. Dan tried studying Psychology and Cognitive Science, and even tried therapy and found it all to be slow, basic, outdated, and boring. He eventually found neurolinguistic programming, hypnosis, and positive psychology and things finally changed. He found spirituality and was able to build a multiple six-figure business once he truly embraced who he was and completely changed his mindset and what he believed life should be.

That’s when she decided to finally fulfill her dream of opening her own salon, which ended up being super lucrative and successful. My guest this week is Keri Ford, a high performance life coach. What’s a high performance life coach, you ask? Keri helps people (mostly women) elevate their life in all regards: health, wealth, relationships, fitness, and overall wellness.
Keri feels like she has lived 10 different lives. She got her degree in Advertising & Graphic Design at the University of Delaware, but after joining the workforce, she found herself struggling with her weight and with disordered eating, and feeling purposeless, unfocused, tuned out, and unfulfilled, despite having a cool job. So she quit her job, packed up, and moved to L.A. Her parents, after helping her pay for her college education and watching her work her butt off in a competitive major, were completely dumbfounded.
She got her certification in personal training in 2008. She was able to get her foot in a gym and shadowed celebrity trainers. All the pieces fell into place, and after doing nutrition and fitness coaching, she discovered the mindset behind the behaviors and the light bulb went on.

Her passion was fitness, which led her to network marketing. A year later, she moved to California and became a personal trainer, but she still wanted more. She started fitness coaching online, while also working at Kajabi and having a side hustle as a Virtual Assistant. Ironically... her side hustle as a VA is now her "main hustle."
