New year, new season, new beers! Well.. sorta.
On our first ATFP of 2021 we drink Fulton Brewing's 2015 "Worth Adversary". We recorded this Thanksgiving weekend of 2020 after having a handful of beers beforehand. We thought this would be the best way to start the new year as we are doing "Dry January". Cheers!
"This Russian Imperial Stout is not exactly a lightweight. It’s about drawing a line in the sand. It has a consistency similar to 5W-30. Adventurous tattoo artists have used it in place of ink. If left outside during winter, it won’t freeze, even in Minnesota. Beneath the shadowy exterior, a swirling ambush of coffee and dark chocolate flavors lurk atop a mountain of malt. For much of the year, the Worthy Adversary lays low, as if beneath the cover of canopy jungle. Don’t leave this aggression unchecked, or you may find it facing you down—eyeball to eyeball."
Thanks to Kevin and Deb Goggin for the theme song. Thanks to Fulton Brewing for making great beer.
On this episode we dive into our favorite beers of 2020. We discuss our top beer as well as some runners up and take a deeper look into our Untappd history.

On the season finale of After The Final Pour, we keep in the holiday spirit with Bell's "Old Fashioned Holiday Ale"
"Call us old fashioned, but we like to have special brews for special times of the year. We aged our Christmas Ale in bourbon barrels, then added dried cherry and orange peel. This winter warmer invokes classic flavors of the season and is perfect to sip by the fireplace, or put in the cellar for celebrations to come. Originally brewed by our barrel specialist for our annual Roll Out the Barrel celebration."

On this episode Brandon and Tony sip and discuss this year's Goose Island Proprietor's Bourbon County Stout.
"This year’s Proprietor's Bourbon County Stout was inspired by third-generation Italian American brewer Emily Kosmal’s love of spumoni, a classic Italian frozen treat. Spumoni is a tri-colored frozen dessert that contains candied fruit and nuts between each layer, historically including flavors such as pistachio, cherry and chocolate. Blended with fresh pistachios, cacao nibs, candied Amarena cherries, and natural vanilla flavors, the 2020 Proprietor’s Bourbon County Stout is incredibly complex and layered with cocoa, nut, and dark fruit notes with hints of vanilla and oak. Emily, who also created the concept for 2016 Proprietor’s, is our first brewer to have two Proprietor’s concepts picked for release."
Thanks to Kevin and Deb Goggin for the theme song.
